Review 68:Helen has a wicked sense of humour, and the whole experience of staying there was just perfect. Breakfast cooked just right along with everything else, the room was just great. They have a great place, and just 5/8 min walk to town centre
Review 69:A lock on bathroom door would have been nice especially when sharing room with small child. Other than that nothing.
Review 70:Friendly and helpful hosts, beautiful room, great breakfast, great quiet location which was handy for the beach as well as the shops. Good shower and very clean room.
Review 71:I was delighted with my choice of accommodation. Our room was spacious and well equipped and Helen was helpful and personable. Breakfast was great and all together great value for money. . . .considering many of my friends were staying in local hotels and paying a fortune for no better service.
Review 72:the hosts where very nice nothing was a bother to them breakfast was great Helen&Muir where very nice would recommend it to all my friends and family and would stay there again Liz Glasgow
Review 73:The House is stunning, a real treat to witness & stay in a period property such as this, the grand staircase & fireplace/mantlepiece in the lounge especially. Great Hospitality & breakfast too from our hosts.
Review 74:The moment we arrived the staff were brilliant, and the recommendation of where to go at night for a meal, was first class. Even spend time with us to tell us where Prince Charles had been visiting in Ayr.
Review 75:The only thing my husband didn't like was the shower, not enough pressure.
Review 76:We liked the house and break fast was nice, also location handy for everything. Helen was lovely.
Review 77:The owners (Helen and Muir) made us feel very welcome and were a mindful of information. The guest house was immaculate in a quiet area but only a 5 minute walk from the many restaurants and pubs. Would definitely recommend the Richmond and would stay again without hesitation.
Review 78:Bit of rain, can't change that though...
Review 79:Very helpful owner, good advice of where to get some food. Lovely breakfast. Nice and easy stay. Ayr is a nice (if a bit quiet on a Saturday night, maybe I was out of the high life area) place for a stop when heading further North on a trip from London. Tom O' Shanter pub was good enough for me.
Review 80:It was well arranged and clean house. I had an exam in the city and I was so nervous but the nice neighborhood and the wonderful hosts helped me a lot to minimise my stress and focus on my exam. the house has a good location, the beach, the city center and the train station all are near by.
Review 81:The guesthouse is beautiful - the staircase with big mirror on the way up made me wish I was in a ball-gown. The lady of the house is lovely and the breakfast was excellent.
Review 82:Just monir quibbles, really: The bathroom mirror was - possible inspired by the countryside - established for hobbits! All kidding aside: It's hung very low, presumably for our female companions, so if you go for a shave, you have to become a bit of a contortionist. The single-glass windows don't isolate much against noise, which is not a big problem considering how silent the street is (you might hear the occasional seagull, which adds to the atmosphere), and I imagine in winter it will not isolate particularly well.
Review 83:The big, stylish room The excellent breakfast The location in Ayr (no more than a couple of minutes to the beach) The calm in and around the house
Review 84:Helen was very welcoming and friendly, and the room was a good size with plenty of space to relax. Richmond Guest House is certainly somewhere we would consider again for a stay in Ayr.
Review 85:I just spent one night at teh Richmond Guest House but I wish I could have stayed longer. Richmond House is in a great location near the beach and shops. The owner made me very welcome and I hope that I can return one day
Review 86:It was a really neat house with 13 rooms. Helen (the owner) was extremely gracious host. Upgrated our room. She made a great full breakfast for my wife and I the next morning. tremendous value for the money.....great resturants and drinking holes within two blocks walking. Helen's husband was dressed in a kilt for a performanc the next morning and he took a picture with me.
Review 87:Nothing. Absolutely nothing .
Review 88:Helen , the owner of The Richmond made us very welcome . The guest house has a great location being in a quiet residential area but still close to the seafront ( 5 minute walk) and city centre. I was with a group of friends rather than family and the large rooms allowed us to relax .A welcome change from cramped hotels. The breakfast was fantastic. I cannot recommend this high enough if you are visiting Ayr.
Review 89:Honestly can't think of anything.
Review 90:The guesthouse is located in a nice part of Ayr, with shops and the beach just 5-10 minutes walk away. The house itself is nice. It's propably better suited for older travellers, but having said that, the owner made me and my two young children more than welcome. The family room we stayed in was a good size and the breakfast was excellent; the house also has free wi-fi too. All in all you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in if you visit Ayr, especially at these prices.
Review 91:Bathroom cold despite the heated towel rail. Probably due to vent in wall straight to outside. Would have preferred a slightly larger window for breakfast (only half an hour) and maybe a little later at the weekend.
Review 92:Lovely large room with original features. Comfortable bed. Good size T.V. Complimentary toiletries. Tasty breakfast. Friendly hosts.
Review 93:Helen, the owner was very warm and welcoming. She had good advice about the area and the breakfast was delicious. We will look forward to returning very soon.
Review 94:owner very friendly and welcoming very quiet location and central..
Review 95:Everything about the place. Had a great room and breakfast and Helen was a very gracious hostess.
Review 96:Nice area, friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
Review 97:The b &b were very accomadating of my good intolerances and very attentive to detail. We felt looked after and made to feel very comfortable.
Review 98:Helpful host, arranged for a rental car and it's return when we had to leave town before the business opened.
Review 99:no hairdrier
