Reviews for Brookover Farm

Review 1:Owner wasn't there when we arrived (in recommended booking in hours) so had some difficulties getting in. No shower, only bath available. A little dated. Numerous pot holes along long driveway to B&B.

Review 2:Owner was nice when we met. Bed was comfortable. Quiet area local to Frome - had a lovely meal in local pub The George.

Review 3:Just the weather, however you can't control that and we did go in November. Not a great time of year to go but that didn't stop us!

Review 4:My wife and I loved the setting and despite the weather not being ideal, we were quite comfortable, enjoyed our time and saw the potential for future visits. The history of the house is quite something if you ever have a chance to hear from the owners, who I might add were lovely as well. All around I'd recommend this pleasant surprise :)

Review 5:Nothing much just the fasten on the bathroom door was broken had to keep it shut with the waste bin and the bolt inside is really hard to push in place .

Review 6:Really friendly and relaxed.very warm n comfortable

Review 7:The rain! ;)

Review 8:Beautiful area, comfortable rooms, friendly staff when we met them at breakfast etc. We didn't need much aside from a bed to sleep in but thoroughly happy with our stay!

Review 9:you really need your own transport here as its out in the country, which we loved

Review 10:Large comfy family room, in the countryside, nice breakfast and our daughter had a horse ride in the morning. Great hospitality

Review 11:Would have liked a shower in our bathroom.

Review 12:Beautiful location with easy parking and access into Frome. Great breakfasts and friendly hostess. Made to feel at home. Excellent pub close by with really good food.

Review 13:Wifi didn't reach as far as our room, but wasn't an issue for us.

Review 14:Very accommodating of our needs. Travelled as one adult with four children. Excellent breakfast with a good variety of yummies to choose from. Well organised. Good country location. Superb value especially compared with local Premier Inn. Cooking facilities available too which would have been handy if I had arrived earlier.

Review 15:The room was grubby and cold. I understand it is an old building but our room wasn't particularly clean. There was also no one there to meet us when we arrived. I rang the mobile number and was told to go in and find the room. One of the other guest rooms was left wide open so you could see the pile of bedding that had not been cleaned. We were the only guests there. Full English was a bit too greasy for me. No option for whole meal toast, just white. Bit disappointing. Lovely location and maybe if our room had been cleaner, breakfast not so greasy then I would have scored higher. No shower either, only a bath with a limit to hot water.

Review 16:Beautiful location

Review 17:The only problem we had was with a very uncomfortable mattress .

Review 18:good location handy for all tourist attractions. great property and pleasant gardens. wonderful breakfast.

Review 19:the only small thing for us was that the TV/Monitor was placed in the wrong place and should probably been situated at the end of the bed area of room.

Review 20:The room was really lovely, clean and welcoming, the staff were really pleasant and helpful. home from home

Review 21:Quiet rural setting with Equestrian centre next door which my daughter loved. We stayed one night en route to Cornwall but will be back for longer and to include some horse riding too.

Review 22:Never met the host! received a phone call to say they would be out when we arrived and to let ourselves in. Bed was unmade so after 6 hours and no one sight i text the host to ask about our bedding and what we did about breakfast! i was told bed would be made on there return no mention about breakfast. We left in the morning to find breakfast else where. We did not see anyone our entire visit nor was there any effort to contact us untill later that day when i received a message accussing us of not paying! which we had!

Review 23:Room was over furnished with elderly mish mash of furniture and would benefit from being simplified to provide more space and be smarter. Shower room, although clean, was tired and had an obvious problem with the shower door which ought to be sorted out.

Review 24:Excellent value for money - did the job. We stayed one night en route to the west country. We travelled with our dog. Comfortable bed in a peaceful spot. Good breakfast served with a smile.

Review 25:Nothing!

Review 26:The hostess, Heather, was very lovely and welcoming! The location was amazing, in the middle of nowhere but lovely green fields and animals. Frome village is only a 5 min drive away. Bed was comfy, felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was excellent, best sausages I had ever tasted!

Review 30:An interesting farm and riding school. Lots of walks, pretty scenery. Good breakfast, very friendly and accommodating hostess. Very good golf course nearby.

Review 31:A little out of the way, but the good thing about that was the peaceful environment, and also seeing Horses being trained in dressage, I understand there are lessons available during our stay.

Review 32:We arrived early, the Owner suggested a very interesting walk over some wicket gates, we saw Buzzards and also other birds we had not seen previously {we do live in the Countryside}

Review 33:We had four cold baths during our two night/three day stay- no hot water! The bathroom wasn't an en-suite and was along the corridor. There was no sort of reception and the landlady wasn't around when we arrived at 16.00.

Review 34:The bed was massive and comfy. The property was very charming, with wood beams. The setting was beautiful.
