Reviews for Ayrs and Graces - Luxury Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:Everything was perfect

Review 2:Ayrs and Graces is the perfect place to stay. Everything about it was excellent, from the warm Scottish welcome, the beautiful suite (with it's own cosy sitting room) to the fantastic view. The breakfast was delicious everything you could ask for. It's the perfect place if you like golf or for visiting Robert Burns birthplace.

Review 3:No negatives!

Review 4:This property had a real wow factor. Our hosts were warm and personable. They wanted their guests to be at home. Our suite was extremely comfortable with excellent amenities and smart decor. Breakfast was great: great variety and the fresh blueberries, raspberries and strawberries looked and tasted scrumptious. We would love to return and also believe this b&b to be fantastic value for money and situated in lovely hilly landscape near to coastal Ayr.

Review 5:there was nothing we didn't like

Review 6:Rhona and paul made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and everything was excellent probably the best place we have ever stayed Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Review 7:Rhonda & Paul were so warm & welcoming on our arrival & for the duration of our stay, we were made to feel at home immediately. Ayrs & Graces gives you the luxury of a 5* hotel, however, with a personal touch that no hotel I've ever stayed in has been able to provide. The Robert Burns suite is absolutely lovely, I loved having our own little area to relax in. Breakfast was delicious, there is a great choice from full Scottish to smoked salmon. I really could go on & on about all the wonderful aspects of our stay! This was our first visit & we're already planning our next!

Review 8:We were welcomed by Rhona, the owner on arrival and were offered complimentary refreshments including home-baking! We were in The Robert Burns Suite which was perfect! I can't recommend this luxury B&B highly enough! Rhona is a thoughtful and considerate host who made us feel so welcome. We are planning to return as soon as we can!

Review 9:Rhona and Paul make you most welcome and bend over backwards to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. We stayed in the Rabbie  burns suite . Fabulous.

Review 10:There were no negative points.

Review 11:Rhona is fantastic, warm, friendly and so helpful. Everything about the location, ambiance, accommodation, breakfast and facilities was perfect.

Review 12:Owners very pleasant and took us down to Brig O Dune for the wedding we were attending. Glorious views from the breakfast lounge. A good base for holidaying in Ayrshire.

Review 13:Nothing :)

Review 14:This is the best B&B I have ever stayed at, me and the family were at a wedding so we had all 3 rooms and the owners Rhona and Paul couldn't have made us feel anymore welcome it was like a home from home. The bedrooms and facilities were 2nd to none and it was just an amazing place to stay with great views, will definitely be back to stay again tyvm:)

Review 15:Only one small complaint....you can hear folk have breakfast upstairsfrom the room, no bid deal as it didn't start until 9am, but thefloor of the upstairs in tiled....

Review 16:Everything was good

Review 17:Defy anybody to find anything to complain about.

Review 18:Better than most of the 5 star hotels which we have stayed in over the years, plus the personal attention of Rhona,Paul and Jan. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return.

Review 19:Great B+B to stay if you are attending a wedding in Brig o' Doon Hotel. Everything is good, the host lady even gave us a lift to the hotel. The view over the field is very nice, will be good in the summer if you can sit outside in the balcony for your breakfast.

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:We were made to feel at home straight away. The rooms and facilities were lovely. Good selection of breakfast options. We also liked having our private entrance so didn't feel we were disturbing anyone else.

Review 22:The only criticism I had was that our party had 3 rooms (one per couple). One room was spacious with large full bathroom and separate sitting room. This room was slightly more expensive than the other 2. The other 2 were priced the same, but I felt they should have been priced separately too as one was very large with a full bathroom and proper double bed. The other was sold as a double but was a twin with 2 beds pushed together and had only a very small en suite without a bath. We were in the smallest of the rooms, but paid the same price as our other friends in the larger double with full large bathroom. I was happy to pay the price we paid but think there should be another price for the larger double as there is a substantial difference in the sizes of the bedroom and en suite as well as wardrobe storage.

Review 23:We had a fantastic stay at Ayrs and Graces. Rhona was so welcoming to her home, we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We were attending a wedding at Brig O' Doon so the location was ideal for us (about 1 mile along the road). Rhona offered to drive us along to the wedding in 2 trips, we took her up for one trip (we were a party of 6 with one person driving to the wedding). It is an unlit back road so you can't walk along at night, however coming back we got a taxi which was only £2.90. Rhona goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Even although it was a bit pricier than other B&B's, it was well worth the extra. Would definitely return to this B&B if returning to Ayr. Ideal for couples retreat or as a family, though families would benefit from booking the 2 downstairs rooms, one having the seating area.

Review 24:nothing

Review 25:The welcome we were given was wonderful, we were made to feel at home and the whole place was so relaxing. Super hosts and an excellent place to stay.

Review 26:Rhona & Paul were so friendly & welcoming, our room was perfect, bed very comfortable, food excellent, fabulous views from all rooms, must be the best B&B in Scotland!

Review 27:Minor point 1) Large TV in upstairs lounge we couldn't operate. BUT MOST UPSETTING on return from dinner at Brig o' Doon 2 LARGE AIRDRIE LADIES ENSCONCED UPSTAIRS WITH LARGE BOX'S of WEDDING Materials, PREPARING FAVOURS, MENU'S Etc. stated thought they had house to them selves and didn't finish & move out till 10 pm. ANGRY WE STAYED IN OUR ROOM.! Very heavy rain Sat.19/7/14 so veranda out for sitting out.

Review 28:Upper room Facilities great, area lovely, fine views, grounds beautiful, accommodation splendid, nice'n quiet, adequate parking, fine breakfast. very clean and neat, very hard to fault. All round excellent 5*.

Review 71:When we arrived the hostess was very apologetic. She had given our suite to a couple that had visited there a couple of times before. She gave us her reasoning for this (illness of one of the couple) and offered us one of 2 other rooms at lower cost.

Review 72:The hostess was delightful. She was very friendly and chatty. She made us extremely welcome. This is the first time that we have been given a welcoming afternoon tea. My husband was offered a beer and I had a coffee. She also gave us nuts, slice and strawberries. She suggested places for dinner and made the reservation for us as well. We had dinner at the Carrick Lodge. Dinner was A1. Ayres and Graces was very quiet and peaceful and the décor was magnificent.

Review 73:Our time at ayrs and graces was nothing short of perfect. From the time we arrived until the moment we left the every little detail was attended to with outstanding attention to detail. Review 79:Owners paul and rhona were very friendly, and made us feel welcome. Our room was beautiful, had a private lounge area, and stunning bathroom. We had a private patio area where we could watch the sheep in the field next to us. Breakfast was very tasty.

Review 80:On arrival I was upgraded to the superb Robbie Burns suite, however on check out I was then charged accordingly.. I assumed it was a free upgrade as I was the only person staying, but it seemed not.

Review 81:The house and gardens are beautiful and it was in a perfect location for my work commitments

Review 82:Rhona and Paul were fantastic. I was immediately made to feel very welcome. Paul gave me a tour and said I could choose my room. I chose the Jean Armour suite; lovely big bed, patio doors leading outside with fields and sheep, nice en suite with powerful shower. It was very clean as was the whole house. Each room having has its own thermostat so you can set your own temperature. Rhona sat with me and had coffee and homemade banana bread that was super tasty. The view from the kitchen was amazing looking out onto fields and the valley. They were very helpful in organising taxis and dinner reservations. Breakfast was great, i would definitely recommend the Scotish porridge. It was so relaxing and peaceful. I would love to go back. It was like visiting family and family that really you like!
