Review 6:The owners were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room decor was finished to a high standard.
Review 7:Great location to explore, via the beautiful coastal walks and excellent bus service for those who do not drive and regular ferry services for those who like the sea. Friendly atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a meal and a drink or two.

Review 12:Helen and Paul are very friendly, they are offering great hospitality, giving us good tips for trips and restaurants. Our room was large, bright and had garden view and a wonderful kingsize bed. All in all we had a pleasant stay.
Review 13:Helen and Paul are perfect hosts. Very welcoming and very attentive (but not in an obtrusive way). Will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a large bed. It looked out over the garden and was very clean. The bathroom had all the necessary facilities, again was very clean.
Review 14:WE FOUND THAT HELEN AND PAUL COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US. WE HAD TEA AS SOON GET AS WE ARRIVED WHICH WAS WELCOMING AS WE HAD A LONG JOURNEY. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT, WOULD GO THAT EXTRA MILE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. WOULD DEFINITELY GO AGAIN.

Review 17:Ground floor en suite room with good access. Helen & Paul were superb hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, try the pancakes.
Review 18:Cobwebs and a lot of dust on skirting boards/edge of carpet. Having to order your breakfast the evening before and only having 45 minute window to have it. Also breakfast time finishes to early 8.15am - 9am.
Review 19:Location was good. Self catering facilities were good. Breakfast was nice.
Review 20:Nothing I didn't like
Review 21:Although we had a car, our hosts encouraged us to use the excellent bus service. Bus stop outside front door! Good breakfast and lovely host? I have no problem recommending.
Review 22:Very small on-suit, shower only, no bath. Wifi not working in upstairs room, short breakfast period, 8.15 till 9.00
Review 23:Very relaxed atmosphere, good privacy, very noce breakfast. Short bus ride to town or 15min walk, free parking.
Review 24:the only seating in the living area were two kitchen chairs and a sofa bed which wasnt comfortable at all, and the tv was high up on the wall. not as good as we have been used to ,

Review 26:There was nothing to not like.
Review 27:We booked here for 3 night over the Bank holiday weekend to celebrate our 17th Wedding Anniversary, We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by Paul & Gill, what a warm welcome we received. We booked the king-size room and the room are lovely and spotless. Paul ran through all the little house rules to help us have a great stay, no complaints for myself or my hubby. Now moving onto the breakfast........... wow what more can we say. Paul and Gill do a great breakfast service and each of our breakfasts during our stay was spot on. The food and drinks service was brilliant and again no complaints from us. If you have a chance to book this little gem of a B&B then please book because you will not be disappointed. Once again many thanks Paul & Gill for your hospitality during our stay with yourselves and we will see you again very soon.
Review 28:would have liked fresh towels every day.. television screen could have been larger.
Review 29:location right by bus stop wonderful breakfast plenty of choice lovely bedroom and en suite all mod cons
Review 30:Our few days stay at Fair winds was the perfect location for visiting family who were camping nearby. The warm welcome, the clean and comfortable accommodation and the excellent breakfasts made our short break perfect.
Review 31:The B & B is on a main road which can be busy but being bikers we used earplugs for the first night and then got used to any traffic noise after that so don't let this put you off.
Review 32:Gill & Paul run a friendly B & B with good choice of breakfasts. The bus stop was right outside so very useful for the short trip into Brixham or to the steam fair and bike rally which we were part.
Review 33:Our room, Santa Ana, ground floor front, was described as "King Room" but we found it cramped and stuffy in the Summer heat with intrusive road noise when the windows were opened. We would not agree that this room is suitable for people with limited mobility. Requested "Decaf" tea and coffee for the room, with fresh milk if possible, on our booking form. Pointed this out on arrival but never did get it (always carry your own!). Ensuite water took some time to get hot at shower and sink. On second day we locked our room when going out for a few hours but on return found it had been left unlocked and ajar by cleaners, a major cause of concern for property security when not present. Despite claims wi-fi was not attainable in this room and the TV "Guide" was unable to achieve programme information. On day of departure breakfast milk was sour. We would agree with the Dutch visitors of September 2013 about the "rules" and also felt very unwelcome.
Review 34:Very Clean. Breakfasts
Review 35:Nothing really probAbly would have liked towels changed every other day rather than 3 days but other than that nothing at all everything was perfect !
Review 36:Hospitality brilliant breakfasts lots of variety good food offered/accommodation clean had a brilliant 4 days didn't want to leave well done Jill and Paul 10 out of 10!!!

Review 65:We find the room very hot and could of done with a fan even tho the window was open all day and night found it to hot to sleep well.

Review 69:We really enjoyed our stay. Paul and Gill made us feel very welcome. With bus stops nearby and a great bus service you don't need to use your car. The breakfasts were outstanding.
Review 70:The warm, friendly welcome from Gill and Paul made us feel straight at home. Our room was clean and comfortable and just the ticket for our 4 night stay. The breakfasts were gorgeous and substantial with a great choice (we definitely recommend the pancakes) Gill was a mine of information for places to visit even on a rainy day! Will definitely return in the not too distant future..
Review 71:there is not really anything i can say that i didnt like. the walk from fair winds to the harbour is about a 15 min walk, but there is a bus service that drops you door to door. be carful of the shower, my husband had an experiance of it going very hot! to very cold, but once we played with the tempreture it was fine. the room was very clean & fresh but for some reason the remote controls where covered in dust! which was strange as the rest of the room was spotless.
Review 72:fair winds was lovely! you get a wonderful welcome & a great run through of how every thing works in the room as well as a great info book on the local areas & of course Gills top 10 places to go. the breakfast was without a doubt the best breakfast we have had in a guest house. you get a very good choice each day.
Review 73:I can't think of anything.
Review 74:A very friendly B&B. Excellent location with bus stops right outside the door and free parking. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The choices for breakfast were excellent and well cooked. Free WiFi with good speeds and freeview TV.
Review 75:Travelling with an elderly family member, it would have been helpful to have had a handrail by the two steps leading up to the front door. She found it difficult getting up the steps without help.
Review 76:Great variety of breakfast, beautifully cooked and well presented.
Review 77:Breakfast was served a bit early for us - being on hols we fancied a lie in!
Review 78:Gill & Paul were very friendly giving lots of info about the local attractions etc. Property was very clean & breakfast very good.
Review 79:Paul and Gil were excellent hosts, and the quality of the breakfasts was exceptional. Gil was very helpful in terms of travel and location advice. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was nice to have on site parking.
Review 80:There weren't any negatives.
Review 81:The welcome was friendly and warm. The room was superbly presented. The bed was exceedingly comfotable. The breakfast was scrumptious. All in all Five stars performance.
Review 82:Nothing to dislike.
Review 83:Clean, comfortable, welcoming, convenient to local amenities and local transport. Easy parking.Have stayed here more than once and would recommend highly.
Review 84:2 single beds joined together as kingsize, being told to remove shoes when walking in door, cracked light shade, mould on shower door
Review 85:Breakfast was enjoyable and Gill was charming and helpful
Review 86:We didn't feel very welcome here, as our hosts were rather stern as they had set out a lot of rules and regulations for their guests. The shower in our room wasn't very clean though, as there was a lot of mold everywhere. On our booking.com confirmation the check-out time was between 10.30 and 11.00 am, but we were told in a rather unpleasant way that we had to leave before 10.00 am. Therefore we had to pack and leave in a hurry. When we wanted to pay by credit card, they told us we had to pay an extra charge. We would certainly not recommend this place to other people, as this was the most unfriendly guest house we have ever been.
Review 87:Location is alright. Not too far from the harbour.
Review 88:Nothing! everything was lovely! :-)
Review 89:As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Paul and he helped me and my partner with our bags and offered us drinks. When I went outside to the garden to get my tea there was yummy banana cake and biscuits for us too! Just what you need after a long drive! The room we stayed in was cosy, comfy and spacious and had a luxury bathroom which was small but you’re not in there for long so we did not care. It had everything we needed. The B&B also has a lovely quite garden area where my partner could smoke which made him happy. The breakfast was lovely and big! There is a big selection to choose from too! You can help yourself to fruit, cereal and yogurts. Brixham town isn’t fair away at all it didn’t even feel like a ten minute walk. Paul and Gill who run the B&B are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome and we were sad to go back home. We will be back!! Thanks again! From Carolyn & Dave
Review 90:our room was very noisy front on to main road, room was small and not as clean as we would like. The outside facias and soffits were in a terrible state and did not give a good impression.
Review 91:The breakfast choice and food very good. Good shower

Review 95:we stayed in the front of the house in one of the smaller rooms , which was great however it wad really warm and had to keep the windows open . The noise from the main road was unbearable in the mornings A fan in the room would have been great .
Review 96:A warm welcome, beautiful inside and the breakfast was lovely .
Review 97:Didn't fell very comfortable, thought host would be more understanding as I was honest! Dint appreciate being asked about accident with the fridge but other guest was not asked, not very chatty with us but was with other guests. Our room was at front of house and we were woken on several occasions by drunks passing by and also sitting on the wall outside, could not have windows open in this really hot weather.

Review 107:Fair winds is a fantastic place to stay, Paul and Gill are friendly, easily approachable hosts, on arrival we were greeted with coffee and biscuits and they both had time to spend with us chatting, the guest house is spotlessly clean and has a fantastic breakfast choice and we were very spoilt for choice. Its dealy situated for exploring the towns/ villages around torbay, I would deffinatly recommend fair winds to friends/family.
