Reviews for Auberge Du Père Bise
Review 1:the room description was not like the one provided in booking.
Review 2:Annecy was heaven! The hotel was good with a stunning view. But what was outstanding was the restaurant and chef! I wish I could thank the chef personally for a great experience
Review 3:The setting of the hotel is second to none. Right on the lake, beautiful gardens, private yet close to the main hub of the town. Our room was a large suite in the main building overlooking the gardens - good size and very comfortable. We stayed when there was an Opera concert on the lake with fireworks. Wonderful evening. Local walks are great and extensive - our dog loved it (and the amount of attention she received from all the staff!) Would go back in a heartbeat!
Review 4:The hotel could not have done more to make our stay perfect from the welcome by Madame Bis to every single member of staff. The location is fantastic and Sophie Bis creates a memorable restaurant with some fantastic food.
Review 5:*We stayed in two rooms (our choice, due to lacking availability) One was a standard room with very poor post-modernistic design, the other one a -beautiful- suite that was facing the road, causing lots of noise in the early morning (deliveries, wastecollection) On top of this both rooms had a serious hum (low sound), probably from the downstairs laundrymachines. *The hotel should communicate that the rooms are in 4 different buildings. Not a big problem in itself, but it is rather surprising at arrival. *The restaurant is extremely expensive, even for a 1 star-Michelin. Dinnerprices are similar to the Villa d'Este at Lake Como. But Pere Bise is definitely not comparable with the Villa d'Este!
Review 6:Great location, memorable breakfast at the lake. Great lakeside garden with ample deckchairs
Review 7:The attitude of the staff and manager. They made us wait 30 minutes toprepare our room when we came in at 15h20. No apologies and told us towait outside on the terrace and made us pay for our 2 waters. They nevercame to tell us the room was ready. When asking about swimmingarrangements we were told sarcastically that you could use the steps togo in and out of the lake. Asking if there was an attendant with towelsand a changing room they said there were none and that you had to takeyour towel in your room without specifying that there were blue onesunder the television. All this in off-hand manner. Whenever we went todinner or breakfast they tried to put us always in the furthest awaytable. When checking out, I told the lady that we had slept badlybecause of the noise of the air-conditioning ( a clacking sound every 2minutes). No "I'm sorry" or apologies. No "hope youhad a nice stay, see you again". I have never been treated so badlyin any hotel let alone in a relais et chateaux in france or in belgium.
Review 8:The food was good.

Review 10:Meals were very expensive but there are other options within Talloires
Review 11:The most beautiful position on Lake Annecy. Heaven on earth. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff with excellent service.
Review 12:Difficult wifi sign in procedure
Review 13:This is a local institution with 100 years of history and many noteworthy guests including the Shah of Iran, the Nixons and Bridgett Bardot. The atmosphere is sedate yet relaxed, elegant and pristine. A meal is a must but the restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Review 14:We so enjoyed our stay I would struggle to find anything we disliked apart from leaving.
Review 15:The lakeside location is stunning. The suite overlooking the lake was very well appointed and comfortable. The staff were very personable and professional . The food was exceptional. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Auberge...will definitely return.
Review 16:One bin only in the whole apartment , no ice machine , the reception shuts at 11:30 everyday ! No late reception
Review 17:The location was perfect , I liked the balcony every thing was good
Review 18:The restaurant, which was the main draw was a little disappointing. We had a wonderful meal there last year, but sadly, the standard seems to have dropped this time around. The Maitre d' was aloof and spoiled the mood for us.
Review 19:Great accomodations, helpful hotel staff and very comfortable beds. Beautiful and peaceful setting by the lake.
Review 20:The location is perfect if you don't mind a little distance with annecy center and they have lovely staffs.

Review 40:There is nothing negative to say about this wonderful Inn !
Review 41:This Inn is fabulous and in a perfect location on Lake Annency. Their dining room is "perfection" and in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. What a wonderful setting for our Anniversary !
Review 42:If you have trouble walking stairs, it might make sense to ask for aroom on the ground floor. I did not see an elevator. We had no troublewith the steps, and there was help available to carry the luggage. Thedrive from Geneva can be a pain on a narrow road. We experienced noproblem coming rather early in the day, but leaving in the afternoon ona Friday, we saw a lot of traffic crawling on the road in the oppositedirection.
Review 43:The location directly at Lake Annecy is beautiful. The lake is a bowl inthe middle of mountains, a stunning sight. The junior sweet we had wasquiet and lovely with a lake view, the bathroom large and luxurious. Therestaurant is all gourmet, super food and staff, beautiful view to thelake, expensive. All staff, even the gardeners looking after the lovelygardens, were friendly and willing to discuss the plants. Perfect placeto relax after a long flight.
Review 44:Our room was in a great location with a view of the lake and balcony. The only problem was that the red colour was overpowering
Review 45:The location, staff and food were fabulous.
Review 46:The staff and hotel facilities were wonderful. All tried to make our stay perfect.

Review 48:just quality in all areas everything was excellent
Review 49:Eye-wateringly expensive! But worth it for a special treat
Review 50:Excellent in every way
Review 51:Gorgeous location on Lake Annecy. Sense of old-fashioned European style.
