Reviews for Chambre d'hôte Entre Mont et Merveille

Review 1:Very difficult to find. When we arrived late and tired the owner wanted us to pay up front for three nights. I didn't like the look or feel of the place and asked if we could just pay for one night. This was not possible and even if we didn't stay for the three nights we would have to pay and he would take our money anyway. For breakfast we all had to sit at same table, 8-10 of us and no one spoke except in whispers to each other.

Review 2:After the first night we settled in and relaxed but it did not feel welcoming.

Review 3:I could not get the wifi working but it didn't bother me.

Review 4:The location, the owner who was very nice and helpful (I am on a special diet, he adjusted the breakfast so I was able to start the day nicely). The room was charming and the bed very comfortable.

Review 5:The French breakfast may not suit everyone. Don't expect bacon and eggs.

Review 6:The staff was very friendly. They only speak French, but if you don't let that bother you, you'll definitely have a pleasant stay. The rooms were very tidy and lovely. The bathroom was modern and nice, too. The location of the place is just next to a grocery store in a peaceful location, far enough from the railway to sleep in complete quietness, but still not far from the station as Pontorson is such a small town. Breakfast was included and wasn't that bad. There's also a hot tub available for little extra price, which was great fun.

Review 7:Unfortunately the wooden floors are very noisy, people on room above getting ready in the morning causing a lot of noise, not their fault but every step can be heard ... Interrupted sleep from 6-7 am due to this, it couldn't be helped.

Review 8:Character of the property. Nice garden.

Review 9:Owner of the hotel speaks little English, there was a large language barrier for me.

Review 10:Very quiet environment guaranteed the nice sleep. Super good with a big garden.

Review 11:Bit tricky to find, host very pleasant but spoke little English

Review 12:Nice location a short drive to Mont St Michel. Picturesque Small boutique b & b in a garden setting. Room spacious and clean, great for a night or two stay.

Review 13:We couldn't connect to wifi with the password provided, and neither could our neighbors across the hall. They think the hotel doesn't really provide wifi, and I am inclined to agree. Our schedules in and out of the B&B were at early/late hours such that we couldn't clear up the problem with our hosts.

Review 14:A truly beautiful setting on the river that flows straight to the Mont St Michel, at the historically significant bridge which gives Pontorson town its name. The little garden outside the gate of the property is delightful as well. The rooms are very creatively and delicately decorated and we slept well on the good-quality mattress.

Review 15:The owner does not speak English at all! It's been very difficult to communicate with him.

Review 16:The position. It's 5 minutes far by car from Mount Saint Mischell .

Review 17:Beautifully decorated accommodation, very clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely staff and a welcoming environment.

Review 18:Breakfast very average.

Review 19:beautiful room, great facilities.

Review 20:We had very comfortable and pleasant room and the breakfast was excellent..

Review 21:Very nice place to stay. Beautiful. Cute. Cosy. Nice ouner attitude. Historical building with comfort.

Review 22:Couldn't operate wifi

Review 23:FRENCH-NESS FRIENDLINESS BREAKFAST Comfort Garden Enjoyed conversing with le Patron in French!!

Review 24:I could not get the Wi-Fi to work. No English is spoken but is France after all. :)

Review 25:Nicely appointed, comfortable.

Review 26:Very friendly owner who was very helpfull.

Review 27:The owner said he would not be there for breakfast the next day but it was all laid out in the communal kitchen for us. The problem was the coffee machine had leaked everywhere and although we had cleaned up it was still leaking with no one to tell and other guests to follow us.

Review 28:Very quiet with secure parking. Good value for money

Review 29:Although the garden is very large and could be stunning, it does need a little tending too and used belongings removed. However the friendly welcome and facilities out way this very small issue. A great nights sleep had by all....

Review 30:The breakfast was very French and the private kitchen breakfast space was just lovely. Our greating was just fab and the owner was tentative and helpful even with the slight language barrier.

Review 31:The hotel is not signed which made it difficult for us to find it, you only have the address to go off. We got there late which meant we could not get in, which was our error we should have noted the checking time cut off. But luckily we found the host incidentally and although the communication was tricky we managed to be shown our room which was great. Wifi was quite weak signal though.

Review 32:The hotel is in an amazing setting, private garden and parking. The building itself has the character of French country and the decor was charming. The bedroom was felt like a french chateau romantically decorated with a beautiful view out to the gardens. It was also meticulously clean. The bed was so comfortable and pillows were generous so we really got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was included and simple but lovely. I highly recommend staying here for a getaway and visit to Saint Mont Michel castle which is 5 min drive away.
