Reviews for Hôtel Restaurant La Cigogne
Review 1:everything was just perfect. Parking, size of room, staff friendliness and helpfulness, and food. would certainly stay again, and recommend it to friends
Review 2:Our room was slightly old fashioned but clean and spacious.
Review 3:Lovely dining room and well priced evening meals of quality. Outdoor bar area, well used and sociable. Short walk to rail station for trip into Colmar. Large local market in square opposite.
Review 4:The location was ideal, right in the center of the town of Munster and within a 10-minute drive to Colmar. From outside the hotel, you have a great view of the storks & their nests up on the church across. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Great place to stay if you want to be close to a touristic area like Colmar, but come back to a lovely and quiet town.
Review 5:Excellent stay in the heart of Stork Country Cigogne or Stork is ever present here as they nest on the rooftops outside the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to have been offered a garage for our Harley Motorcycles. The evening meal was good. Rooms were clean and fine with comfortable beds.
Review 6:All rooms are at the back of hotel, ahead of time I had requested one in front , had I known that the hotel had no front rooms I would have chosen a different hotel .
Review 7:Very nice staff, big room, very clean , great location.
Review 8:Nothing in particular. Bathroom was huge but layout could have been a bit better
Review 9:Staff were friendly, location was good for touring Vosges, storks on buildings opposite..
Review 10:Staff was fully aware that WiFi reception in our (very spacious) family room is rather poor, but they provided access to a first floor meeting room! Thanks! In addition, WiFi in resto/brasserie is very good. And in the end, we were on holidays...! (Under the roof, airco would have been welcome in the almost tropical summer...:-)
Review 11:Small scale hotel, ideally located, very friendly and helpful staff, and a very good restaurant! Perfect as a starting point to discover the magnificent Parc National Ballons d'Alsace.
Review 12:Shower head could not be fixed in the holder, jumping free in the course of two showers!
Review 13:The patronne was very welcoming even we arrived a few minutes after the last registration time. She arranged an extension of restaurant service. The wine was of course very good.
Review 14:We liked it. Excellent location and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was very good, nice meal in the restaurant. Very friendly and responsive staff welcomed us warmly and gave us a lot of good recommendations. Everything was fine! Many thanks from our family!
Review 15:Clean, comfortable room. The girls on reception and in the restaurant were lovely, very helpful and looked after us. We had a wander round town for tea but realised that the hotel was the best, ordered steak and chips with half a bottle of red.......gorgeous!!! Motorbikes went in their garage which is massive....brilliant
Review 16:Nothing really. The dark decor is not to my taste but is very French!
Review 17:This was my second stay. The staff are all great and very helpful. Dinner was also excellent
Review 18:my second stop here and the staff were excellent as always.location is superb close to the vosages and at the heart of munster a lovelly town with good restaurants
Review 19:Cetrally located, you can see a lot of storks. Nice personnel, very attentive. Very good dinner, good prices, excellent quality. Public parking in front of hotel.
Review 20:We didn't find any WiFi passwords, forgot to ask.
Review 21:Absolutely loved the hospitality of the personnel. We arrived quite late, but it was not a problem to eat something even if the restaurant was already closed. Very quiet, very good beds.
Review 22:Very friendly, multilingual service. Good restaurant, delicious local food and wines. Very generous bathroom and a warm, clean bedroom. Price is very fair. In the heart of Munster town opposite the Christmas market yet near to motorway connections, a supermarket and petrol station to make exploring the region easy and comfortable.
Review 23:Nothing was wrong with our stay!
Review 24:Location, breakfast. Excellent service. Manager was very accommodating even though we could not speak French. Will definitely stay here again!
Review 25:The one night that we spent there the restaurant was closed... it rained and we had nothing to eat...i wish i had known in time so that i could have made arrangements accordingly. Didn't like that you go through a restaurant to get to the hotel. After 7pm you are on your own. no phone, nobody on the lobby (I guess because it was the day off of the restaurant) didn't like the feeling at all
Review 26:Even though it was closed, the lady that attended us was nice and showed up pretty quickly, she showed us around. We got space in a locked garage to put our bikes. The hotel was pretty quiet and had the essentials needed for a good night sleep

Review 37:Staff was very friendly and efficient. Very gracious about our French. Just very welcoming.
Review 38:I would install a shower wall to avoid water going out the bath

Review 53:- Location is great - Very helpful and friendly staff - Clean
Review 54:Room was rather tiny but ok, a bit unappealling sight from window, but completely ok for one night stay. A bit to go from Colmar.
Review 55:Hotel was ok, very kind staff, we went without breakfast. Lovely cheesy town:)
Review 56:We had a good view in our room overlooking the mountains and high pitchroofs which only in Europe you can see. From the mountain view it was adelight to see the Storks flying over the trees. The housekeeping andrestaurant staff were always pleasant with a nice smile everytime theysee us. The hotel is in a great place of town and just across from theopen market. I would like to make a special mention on Ms. Annie, thehard working owner, that she always made sure our stay is comfortableand pleasant. We was even concerned that my mom who walks with a cane isnot having a hard time taking the one step up on the main hotelentrance. Ms. Annie and her staff are a real gem, their service isimpecable. I highly recommend her hotel and it's location. Thank youagain Ms. Annie!
Review 57:check in was from 2pm.The hotel was closed until 5pm so were left in a town which was closed being a Monday and at the time was subject to extreemly heavy rain. The receptionist really said that was how it was on a Monday.Tuesday morning the whole town was alive.
Review 58:I booked a family room which consisted of two good sized connecting rooms. However when we arrived at 7pm after a long drive from Italy, we were shown to a very, very small room with a double bed and two singles squeezed into it which I would never have booked at the price. When I said that it was not the room I had booked we were told we could also have the tiny double room next door. Our children are 12 and I was not comfortable to leave them in a seperate room. I had the print out of the booking with the photograph of the room on it and eventually the chef who spoke english very well was called and after an hour or more we were given a huge apartment at the top of the hotel, which was lovely. It would unfortunately put me off booking again, had I not made a fuss we would have paid way over the odds for the tiny horrible room. I hate complaining and this really ruined it for me.
Review 59:When we eventually sorted out the problem, the rooms we had were very nice and spotlessly clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant, partly because by this time it was far too late to go elsewhere. The food was very good, the staff were very friendly and it was good value for money.
Review 60:It was a bit confusing because I arrived on Monday when the restaurantis closed. The hotel was locked up too. I found the owners later thatday after going on a walk with the local tourism office. Apparently youhave to summon someone on a box near the door. No one is always at thedesk. It seems like no one is there which perplexed me but wasn't adeal breaker. The owners are on their few hours off shopping and takingcare of business. It was kind of charming and practical to me but somepeople it might annoy.
Review 61:Clean attractive room. Spare in the European way but not tiny. Largebathroom. Tall casement windows. No ac for those who can't handlelife without it. But it was late July and I was comfortable and pleasedto sleep with windows open as we all once did. Quiet (I always ask for aquiet room) even the hotel is on the small main square and looks outtoward a building where storks nests on the roof. It is quite scenic! And the restaurant is good. I didn't have the 10 Euro breakfast.
Review 62:Slightly spartan bathroom, bedroom was a bit old fashioned but not bad for that.
Review 63:Lovely location, relaxed atmosphere, very nice staff and we liked our evening meal. Good breakfast too. Loved watching the storks while sitting outside with a beer!
Review 64:There was a shower over the bath, but no screen or shower curtain
Review 65:Staff were extremely friendly and helpful On-site parking is a bonus in a town centre location Breakfast was very reasonable and plentiful
Review 66:Parcare proprie Ultracentral
Review 67:The beds were very simple.
Review 68:Nice Location ,Good service, nice people
Review 69:A very friendly staff; excellent location, in middle of Munster.
Review 70:Spacious rooms, quiet, helpful staff
Review 71:Munster was too quiet at night. Only a couple of restaurants and they were shut by 8:30 !!
Review 72:The area had exactly what we wanted, (great mountain roads)
Review 73:The area is wonderful. Mountains near by as well as Alsace vineyards. Hotel very nice.
Review 74:nice place, picoresc.
