Reviews for Mollies Hut
Review 1:Can't express how lovely this place is. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel truly welcomed. From waking up and seeing the donkeys, to eating the delicious cake provided for us, we enjoyed every single moment. The bathroom was spotless, with underfloor heating and towels provided. The kitchen was also perfect, we helped ourselves to tea and made a delicious breakfast with the generous food that was provided. Thank you very much for a lovely and magical experience, will defiantly be visiting again.
Review 2:Really wish we could have stayed longer (work commitments unfortunately) , in fact my husband wants to move in!
Review 3:Romantic and secluded setting with a real rustic 'away from it all' feel, still with all the home comforts you need like cake and tea and a hot shower! The farm is beautiful and loved being around the animals. The hut is spacious inside and the log burner really keeps it toasty! The hosts really made us feel welcome and they think of everything; towels, cereal, fresh eggs and bread etc. Glamping at its finest! we will definitely be back soon!
Review 4:It was an amazing weekend getaway. Staying in this comfortable bungalow, making bbq, and warming inside of the bungalow with the little fire stove made us having great time here. Puffy sheeps and lovely donkeys were around in our sunny morning. Diana is warmly welcoming to her lovely farm...
Review 5:A great way to switch off as there is nothing to do but sleep. The bed is really comfortable but there isn't a lot else apart from a little log burner which was very welcome and cosy. The only thing is that you can't drive up to the hut and it is a bit of a walk through a field from the kitchen, the toilets and the car - definitely not ideal if you need the loo in the middle of the night! The breakfast was tasty in the morning but the kitchen equipment including tin plates let it down. All in all a good experience for 1 night but I think the facilities and access could be improved.
Review 6:Kitchen facilities could have been better - but that's just me being very picky. And it was more than adequate for our 2 night stay.
Review 7:Beautiful location on a lovely farm. Hosts were lovely, couldn't do more to help us and make sure we were settled. The hut is very cosy, log burner was amazing and heated the hut very quickly. Romantic glamping experience.
Review 8:Everything! It was so quaint and pretty and relaxing. Much more beautiful than expected and we were provided with everything we could want to make it comfortable.
Review 9:Everything was great from the welcome to the breakfast and the sunset that drifted down across the field as we arrived Would defiantly recommend Mollies hut and no doubt will be back
Review 10:Where to start....the floor was dirty, mud and grass over it! The linen was damp, Lime scale in kettle and wet room, last guest food on the BBQ tools, the BBQ wasn't by the hut, nothing like the pictures online, a pop festival in the field next door kept us up all night, fag butts and ash in the toilets...we didn't stay the second night and when i told the owner this I was just asked if I could pay for the first night! We had so been looking forward to this break away from work for peace and quiet and it was a complete let down!
Review 11:The location was great for longleat, great it was dog friendly, but that's it!
Review 12:The location was beautiful. Hosts were welcoming and helpful without being overbearing. Cake on arrival and breakfasts first class. Shepherds Hut virgins and this has converted us! Anywhere else will have a tough act to follow.
Review 13:We had a lovely relaxing stay, Diane the host is very welcoming the cake was mouth watering. The whole experience is relaxing we would definitely return .
Review 14:A unique experience that was really great fun even in torrential rain. Atmospheric location and Diana our hostess was engaging and entertaining with a real zest for life. We loved it!
Review 15:The only reason! we couldn't stop another night because we got to get back for the children.
Review 16:We arrived to a very pleasant warm welcome. If your looking forward to a relaxing romantic stay. This is exactly what we got. We stayed in the new hut Maud, which is situated on the other side of the field right in the corner, where the bed is very comfortable and the log burner makes it a very cosy stay. Not to mention The home-made cake left waiting for us in our hut, and also fresh breakfast products, waiting in the self catering kitchen for us in the morning. We Visited a local pub which served proper home-cooked hearty food, which was absolutely fantastic. Waking up in the morning to stunning views Including two donkeys and a horse just added to the romantic experience. This this place along with its hosts, is the place to go if you want to wind down and spend a romantic time with your partner.
Review 17:walk to the loo a bit of a pain in the middle of the night, but it is a 'glamping' experience. Larger frying pan and mugs would have made breakfast easier to prepare.
Review 18:Hut was charmiing, beautiful peaceful location, very attentive hostess, good breakfast, great that we had access to kitchen and barbecue all day for making meals.
Review 19:Everything was fantastic! The Shepherd's Hut is beautiful, surprisingly spacious and the two doors open right out so we could be 'outside' when inside. Diane is super-friendly and it was wonderful being with the donkeys, horses, chickens, dogs.
Review 20:When the weather was good it was perfect but when we had wet days it was a reasonable walk from the hut to the kitchen/WC.
Review 21:Friendly owners. We enjoyed seeing the animals around the farm and the facilities were great.
Review 22:Set on a charming farm, Mollies hut is a cosy, comfy, rural idyll. Diana and David are the most welcoming of hosts; nothing was overlooked for guest comfort and happiness!
Review 23:Fantastic hosts who have thought of everything to make your stay in this beautiful hut like a dream come true. If you want en suite facilities and air conditioning this is not for you. Wonderfully romantic and cosy.
Review 24:The secluded surroundings of the hut, the warm hospitality (nothing was too much trouble), the location. The hut itself was beautiful and very well kept.
Review 25:The tranquility and the sense of serenity, the opportunity of being at peace. The location of the hut was perfect, near the main house but yet a feeling of total seclusion. Perfect. The best thing was the welcome of the hostess. She was even kind enough to keep an eye on my dog whilst we went to a wedding!
Review 26:The beautiful location, the animals who made it impossible to feel lonely even if travelling alone, the experience of living a simpler life (but with a lovely wetroom and kitchen on hand). Stargazing with a tot of sloe vodka in hand in hand was fabulous. Owners very welcoming.
Review 27:This was such a beautiful experience for me and my boyfriend, we loved the location and eveything about it, hope to book soon again as it was truly one of the best places we have stayed
Review 28:Having to leave.
Review 29:The experience of living like a Gabriel Oak, only without needing toworry about a crazy sheepdog driving my flock over the cliff putting oneout of work and then having to go to the hiring fair in Shaston -or wasit Casterbridge? Also, the peace, tranquillity and relative solitude ofit all,(this is no place for more than two, frankly), the cozy log burnerand diy breakfast in the livery stables and the friendly, helpful and(in my case),inspirational hostess. In short, I can't wait toreturn, but if by a twist of fate it should happen to be in November,I'll make sure to take a Julie Christie and a pair of Wellingtons tokeep me warm and dry.
Review 30:It was rather a long way to the bathroom! (But clean and warm when you got there.)
Review 31:The peace, the animals, the lack of wifi, the very starry night. Me, the book, the radio, the candles, and the lovely fire;bliss.
Review 32:I had planned to work as was on a business trip but as no electricity I couldn't do that... But to be honest that was a bonus really. I needed an evening to unwind and that I did!
Review 33:I wish I'd gone for a weekend! The location and to beautiful aspect of Mollie's hut. Sitting in front of the log burner watching the stars out of the stable door. Fabulous breakfast. And thoughtfully left me strawberries and cream as wheat intolerant! Very thoughtful and lovely hosts.
Review 34:Nothing at all. It was perfect!
Review 35:Location The host, Diana, was perfect Personal touches in hut and kitchen The animals on the farm Relaxing and secluded environment
Review 36:nothing at all
Review 37:Everything, from the minute I arrived and was welcomed by Diane the owner, I was shown around to where everything was, Marley made himself at home and ran off around the yard so dog owners have no fear this is a truly dog friendly environment. The hut is a traditional Sheppard hut located in a quiet corner of the field behind the farm its totally peaceful and is the best place to be after a hard days work, Diane had lit the candles and there was a home made apple pie to welcome me and sat on the steps looking at the stars with no light pollution, needles to say me and Marley had the best nights sleep ever!!!!! awoke the next day and was welcomed by an amazing brekkie, which may I add home made marmalade for the toast, spent 2 amazing night here and will be back again and again business and pleasure, this is a totally rural experience adventure so hotel luxury room service bods try something different for a change and live a bit, oh by the way if you are a couple this is the perfect romantic getaway and will be trying that out very soon. Well done Diane for creating the ultimate getaway all our love Pete and Marley see you soon
Review 38:Toilet was too far away and impossible to get too in pitch black with torch. No cover on duvet. Had to make our own bed. Had to collect our breakfast and walk back to hut with it. Although I appreciate it's tranquil and simple hut I didn't expect to have to collect things from kitchen etc. Firepit outside but no wood provided to burn. 4 matches in box to light candles. All just too basic think it needs to be more refined. Small details matter.
Review 39:Beautiful setting very peaceful and calm. Nice greeting by Diana and lovely cake left for us.
Review 40:Located in a beautiful farm and the room was very clean, comfortable and a pleasure to be in. We received such a warm welcome from the hosts which was so lovely as we arrived late but they really made us feel at home.
