Review 1：The room was so tiny without any extra furniture to put your cloths in. The bathroom had a stall shower that when you closed the shower door it hit into the water faucet and turned the water off. The towels were threadbare and they had wire hangers. After a one night stay we had an emergency and had to leave and they charged us for an extra day.

Review 5：The host was very friendly and this hotel is located near restaurants and the beach. It's about a mile from the main gate of Rota Naval Base, but cabs in Rota are very reasonable.

Review 14：My single occupancy of a small double room was very comfortable. Good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Simple but adequate buffet breakfast. So close to the beach for a lovely long walk and easy walk to restaurants.

Review 15：So it was hard to find space to maneuver around our luggage with such a tiny room but not a big deal. Didn't like the key style door but silly to whine about it. Can't recall if wifi was avail. Think not. Use a cafe nearby anyway and get out and explore.

Review 27：The hostel is 50 metres from a wide sandy beach and 5 minutes walk from the town - lots of shops; bars and restaurants. At nights it is very quiet.

Review 38：Great location and amazing staff. Vicente is a great host. Hostal is just a few feet from the beach in a secure area. We traveled in our motorcycle and were able to park at the hostal. Reasonable, clean, centrally located. We will definitely use this Hostal again.

Review 41：We love every thing on hotel Macavi, only few feets from the beautiful of Rota. Own by a family, they keep the hotel very clean and they take special care of their guests. They also have the best coffe for brekfast. We staid two night and we will plan to come back to hotel Macavi any time that we return to Spain

Review 43：My room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. They went out of their way to answer all my questions. There was a bar by the lobby for drinks and snacks, and a quality restaurant for a full meal. The location was perfect and the price per night was unbelievably inexpensive.

Review 44：Breakfast was not included and I had to pay for it. It was very basic and I had it only once. And there were flies in October but it has nothing to do with the hotel.

Review 45：The location is great, just two minutes from the beach and it was very quiet in October. The staff does not really speak English, but they do everything they can to help you if needed. Rooms are very clean. Wifi is excellent and works everywhere. Overall, had a very nice stay there and would stay there again if I ever back in Rota.

Review 47：I was very surprised to have a large ensuite to consist of large shower (very hot water), toilet, toilet and sink. I had a reasonable sized mini fridge and most important was the air conditioning unit that was easy to programme, that made the room feel like a freezer. Staff were very helpful at odd hours of the night when needing information. I didn't realise how close I was sitiuatated to the beach and entertainment areas. I never stayed there before and was looking for a place to store my belongings, have a shower and a quick power nap. This place exceeded my expectations! Bang for buck!
