Reviews for Lullington House
Review 1:Nothing at all just EXCELLENT
Review 2:Nicola & Richard were just great hosts. A pot of tea was made for us on arrival A* Room and en-suite were fantastic great accommodation first class breakfast. A great place to stay EXCELLENT.
Review 3:As ladies who do not often get the opportunity to get away this was a real treat. The attention to detail for our comfort was wonderful and we felt very much at home. It was lovely to meet and talk at the breakfast table with fellow guests and swap stories of why we were visiting, breakfast was delicious!
Review 4:The attitude of owners was arrogant & dissmissive. We were moved into a lesser room without notice, which was only acknowledged when we raised it.The shower room was unhygienic with black mold & grim, the window cavities were full of dead flies, cobwebs & rusty. We opted not to stay.
Review 5:The setting was lovely
Review 6:Not too sure which part of the house or garden we were allowed to go. We couldn't find anyone to say thank you and goodbye when we left in the morning. I felt it was too much of being in someone's house rather than a paid accommodation.
Review 7:It was a lovely house. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 8:We enjoyed everything
Review 9:The room was really beautiful, we thought we were in a castle. The owner was very welcoming, very nice and very helping (he even agreed to print our flight boardind passes). The breakfast was amazing (fresh fruit, smoked salmon, ....). The place itself was nice too.
Review 10:Nothing. All good
Review 11:Peaceful location lovely home from home feel with massive rooms and very large bedrooms with country house style decor and four poster beds Delicious breakfast using eggs from their own hens. Friendly owners.
Review 12:My stay was too short
Review 13:That beautiful bed The bathroom The curved bench which I never go a chance to sit on as it was always occupied at sundowners I revelled in the gentle country life amidst trees and sheep and life at a whole different pace.
Review 14:The house was stunning, beautiful grounds and was the perfect recovery rest stop after Glastonbury festival. Very hospitable owners and would definitely stay there again. The ideal place for a break in the beautiful English countryside.
Review 15:It is a wonderful family house, with lovely gardens which you can sit in and enjoy the countryside, but most of all the owners are really nice helpful people always able to advise on places to visit or eat out, and always ensure their guests are happy and catered for.
Review 16:Unfortunately, we got there very late. I appreciate the man that tookcare of us that night, though. He was very kind, and understanding, andlet us check in around midnight, even though check-in stops at 10:00.There was milk in the room, as well. I think this is customary, but wewere very grateful, considering we were traveling with an infant. It's a wonderful old house, and the room was gorgeous, the view ofthe garden was beautiful, and our stay there was the best out of 2weeks of touring England. An absolutely wonderful stay in a trulyEnglish setting.
Review 17:An enchanting Victorian house set in delightful grounds with interesting historical links to it's surroundings. The house is furnished with great taste and breakfast is the dining room is a treat and not just for the marvellous food. The owner was charming and we adored the decanter of sherry in our lovely room and soft dressing gowns
Review 18:Very welcoming. Outstanding level of thoughtfulness in attention to detail without being fussy or intrusive. Super clean, comfortable - luxurious even - really friendly.
Review 19:Would have appreciated meeting Nicola as well as Richard. There were some small omissions in room service such as tea spoons and small glasses on the last night. Complimentary biscuits in the room were there only on first night.
Review 20:House is wonderful with a lovely room and quiet grounds. Area is peaceful and relaxing. The room had fresh milk in a flask for tea and sherry in decanter that was a welcome touch. Recommend as a special weekend base for the area.
Review 21:Only thing I would have liked is a pub a bit closer in walking distance for the evenings.
Review 22:Visited this first about 3 years ago and decided to go back for the weekend this Valentine's Day. Stayed in a four poster room which was amazing, such big rooms and en suites. Bed really comfortable, tea making facilities with a flask of fresh milk provided each day, lovely decor all around the house. Shower was great. Breakfast is excellent choice of full English or scrambled egg and smoked salmon, as well as cereals, toast, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Of an evening is so quiet and dark I loved it. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Review 23:A lovely relaxing location where time seemed to have stood still, if you can find a B&B that is better you will be very, very lucky. A credit to Nicola and Richard.
Review 24:This is not a criticism. It's hidden away, part of it wonderful charm but had to travel, albeit only two miles or so to have an evening meal. Had to drive so no wine with the meal. Such a shame as it was great food. Owners gave good recommendation for eating out.
Review 25:What a find. Excellent greeting by caring and friendly owners. Magnificent room with a lovely combination of traditional and covert modern. The breakfast was amazing and I was made to feel like a lord in downton abbey. I would go out of my way to stay there again. Brilliant.

Review 84:Loved the house and its setting, so quiet and secluded. The room was spacious and well appointed. never heard a thing from any other guests. So great to listen to the bird song and animals that surround the area, and to smell the flowers that adorn the walls/windows, would go back anytime, a great place to stay.
Review 85:It is a bit more remote than i expected. But it was my fault for not realising this when i booked it.
Review 86:Pretty much everything. Richard was a gentleman, facilities were perfect. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. It is a really lovely place.I would heartily recommend it to friends and family, and in fact anyone who wants a romantic break in the English countryside.
Review 87:Extremely difficult to find - we arrived late in the evening, and I wandered around for 15 minutes in the pitch dark, peering at houses, at one point stumbling up a lane to find myself in a farmyard before eventually locating it. Would it not be possible to have a sign outside that could be illuminated (at least when guests are expected)? Directions in yards meant nothing to my Japanese/Canadian travelling companion so she had driven straight past it and into the village. Not being able to pay by card is very inconvenient for foreign travellers, who do not have chequebooks in pounds and will not want to carry large amounts of cash. Booking.com did not make this clear. It was only mentioned after the directions in the email from Lullington House, and I only saw it once we had arrived. As it is so unusual I do think it should be mentioned first.
Review 88:Wonderful quiet location in beautiful countryside, but very close to Frome. The interest of the property itself. The very good size of my room. The general air of quality. An excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The wi-fi connection.
Review 89:It was a bit difficult to find it in the night. The full breakfast was served only until 9am and it was too early for me,
Review 90:Nice big room and nice big bathroom with lots of amenities.
