Review 1:Lovely little b&b..great breakfast and the staff and owners we're very helpful and friendly definitely go again had one of the best weekend away..pepper our border collie also loved the room and sausages the staff gave her..can't fault..car park is a bit narrow but soon get use to it..we highly recommend this lovely little b&b..

Review 2:This was our first vist to Wales and it met every expectation we had & more. Was the perfect loaction with an abudance of near by walks and with an easy short drive to Snowdonia.Such a peaceful spot and the owners, David & Heather were a delight. Very knowledgeable of the local areas and just a kind and decent couple. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Review 3:Only stayed for one night but really enjoyed my stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Hope to return again next year. Will definitely recommend. Left my phone charger behind and it was posted back to me at home which I really appreciated.

Review 4:Bryn Melyn is an outstanding place to stay. The rooms are beautifully furnished with wonderful views. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful, the breakfasts were second to none. I couldn't fault it.

Review 5:This is a well presented, guest house, where a great deal of attention has been paid to the detail, there's even a small box for recycling in the room-good idea! Everywhere is scrupulously clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing! The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful in assisting with local information. Excellent breakfast, with grilled halloumi on the vegetarian breakfast adding style to a great spread! What's not to like!

Review 6:Had a great nights stay here, owners were really friendly and made my husbands 40th birthday really special. Room was great, really big and view was amazing, breakfast was lovely, can't wait to go back again.

Review 7:Nothing apart for the steep hill - esp after a long walk!

Review 8:Although I only stayed for 2 nights, I really enjoyed staying there, breakfast with having a wide choice, my room with an amazing view, and so good with my Labrador that came with me, even had his own breakfast cooked!!! - (2 sausages!!), everyone there was warm and welcoming. An ideal place for a good walk and explore the great outdoors.

Review 9:The approach to the property is a very steep and winding road approx 1 in 3or4 for quite a distance.the road is only wide enough for one car each way so can be a bit hairy at times.

Review 10:The whole place was fantastic as a regular visitor to Barmouth we will be staying here again the people are amazing and the guest house was amazing and the views from our room were fantastic

Review 11:As warned up very steep hill bad turn into car park.Would not be put off returning local taxi very good.

Review 12:View from bedroom fantastic, spotless hotel friendly hosts well maintained lovely breakfast watching the many different birds.

Review 13:Nothing there to dislike.

Review 14:Stunning birdlife on terrace compliment the panoramic views of the Mawddach Estuary. Many maps and books that you can take out and use.

Review 15:Although dinner menu looked interesting and appealing, what we experienced did not live up to expectations, it was poorly cooked and presented and was therefore over-priced. Very disappointed.

Review 16:Breakfasts were excellent. Views from bedroom and dining room very good.

Review 17:Room was very small and over priced, terrible car park, spaces far too small and very steep, narrow road up to the property.

Review 18:Superb view from room, very efficiently run, very clean and excellent breakfast.

Review 19:Lovely room with amazing view across the estuary. Breakfast was excellent & our hosts were friendly & helpful. Birdwatching from the window at breakfast was lovely.

Review 20:The shower could be improved. It takes forever to get the water at the desired temperature, and water pressure is questionable (I know it's common in the UK, but do something about it...) Similarly, please do work on the absurd "two taps" tradition: it's not pleasant to get the hands/face frozen and/or scolded every time you are to wash them... But seriously nobody has anything against it in the whole country?

Review 21:The views, the location, the warm room with large windows, the excellent bed, the travel tips in the room.

Review 22:Nothing of any importance at all.

Review 23:Great location, clean, well equipped, well furnished, comfy bed with memory foam mattress. Good breakfast and good service throughout our stay. Can't think of anything more that David and Heather could do.

Review 24:I've stayed in many hotels etc, some stupidly expensive' brynmelyn is great value and in my opinion does the best breakfast you arelikly to find anywhere

Review 25:I loved it here but if you want to go out and leave the car it is a very steep walk back up,but just take your time.

Review 26:Location is fantastic, high above the estuary with superb outlook.Really good breakfast, nature lovers will love watching the birds enjoying their free breakfast on the bird tables. If you stay here and are even half fit you must take "The Panorama Walk" which starts a short walk away.

Review 27:nothing just perfect for a relaxing getaway

Review 28:Wonderful views over Mawddach Estuary. Locally sourced ingredients in the amazing Welsh breakfast Best bacon i have ever tasted wonderful nights sleep

Review 29:Spectacular view owing to the prime location. Honestly, they served the best bacon (rashers) that I have ever eaten, sourced from a local butcher. David also stocks the Welsh whisky Penderyn.

Review 30:On arrival we were greeted with such friendly service and an explanation of all the facilities and a tour of the room and how we could get to and from the town centre. The views from the clean and luxurious room window couldn't be beaten. The bed was comfy and the area peaceful and quiet. The shower was superb and the toiletries very luxurious. The breakfast was the nicest we've had in a B&B with high-quality, locally sourced food. We only stayed one night to celebrate my birthday but it was the most relaxing escape in such a picturesque part of the world.

Review 31:Very steep hill to drive into, requires patience, but necessary for the views

Review 32:Comfortable rooms, stunning views, excellent breakfast. A definite choice to go back to.

Review 33:Curtains were a little thin so the early morning sun shone through.

Review 34:Location was excellent with lovely views. Room was clean and had good selection of tea and coffee.

Review 35:The car park entrance was a little bit difficult.

Review 36:The room had a beautiful view and was spotlessly clean. The owners were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Couldn't fault this guest house and it's owners. Would definitely recommend it to all.

Review 37:Climbing two flights of stairs with walking difficulties, when Booking.Com had told us we were on the first floor and also sent us a photo of the bedroom we were to expect. Booking.Com got this wrong - not Bryn Melyn owners.

Review 38:Fantastic view from second floor bedroom. Wonderful breakfasts. Comfortable bed.

Review 39:To say we did not like would not be true but as the location is high up a steep hill it may not be suitable for those who find walking difficult.

Review 40:The views, rooms and food were very good. Owners and staff made you very welcome and that included our dog.

Review 41:Fantastic view from the room out over the bay. Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast. Easy walk down into the town, taxi back £3, a bargain. Will definitely be back

Review 42:There are amusements on the sea front that are not our thing, but everything else was lovely.

Review 43:We had the most beautiful weekend break in Barmouth, staying at the Bryn Melyn Guest House. Located up on the hill we awoke to the most glorious panoramic views of the sea, estuary and across to the majestic rolling hills as far as the eye can see.

Review 44:There's nothing we didn't like about the B&B. Fantastic place. Would definitely go back again.

Review 45:The B&B was beautiful and the views were stunning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely. Such a stunning location, but not for the feint hearted - as it is up a very steep hill, but then you wouldn't get the views like that :). Taxis are very reasonable from the centre of Barmouth if you don't fancy the walk up the hill. We did it a few times and it works wonders for your legs.

Review 46:This guest house really lived up to its location. The views were fantastic.Everything you need for an enjoyable break.Clean comfortable accomodation good food and pleasant hosts.

Review 47:Very welcoming and helpful couple run this Guest House - very knowledgeable about regional attractions. Very comfortable, well set-out rooms. A great "full Welsh" Breakfast, and a cosy lounge/bar for guests.

Review 48:access by road is up a steep narrow road with a blind exit , best way in is to go further up the road to turn round and approach from the otherway

Review 49:everything was perfect, hosts heather and david make you feel very much at home

Review 50:The only negative is that if you walk to the guest house from Barmouth (which is a steady 10 minuet walk) you have to encounter a very steep hill

Review 51:- the guest house has the most amazing views of the nearby estuary - the staff are very welcoming and facilitate your stay excellently - the room was superb, clean and had an amazing view - the beakfast was excellent

Review 52:I could not fault this guest house it's one of the best I have stayed in

Review 53:The location, room, and the views was excellent the breakfast very good nothing was to much trouble we even had fresh milk in our room every day

Review 54:Not much, room cold have been bigger with more modern furniture. But tghis is just minor details when compared to the location, views and excellent hospitality.

Review 55:The owners were superb and excellent hosts, the location and views were outstanding. The breakfast was fantastic and the owners provided excellent service. Overall a very nice and relaxing place to visit.

Review 102:Nothing..

Review 103:Brilliant view's over looking the bay.

Review 104:Nothing.

Review 105:Truly lovely guest house, both in terms of style and comfort as well as attention to detail provided by its owners. I had stunning views from room 5. There was a shower in the en-suite but also use of a nearby bathroom for guests who prefer use of a bath. The breakfasts were well cooked, with mostly local fresh produce, and eaten in a light pleasant room with view onto the patio where the birds were also breakfasting. The patio was lovely to sit out on with a book, and the well-stocked bar area was also welcoming, with a selection of books (some quirky..) to browse through. Clearly the owners care about making your stay special and relaxing, and are happy to offers tips on things to do. With Bryn Melyn being perched on the hillside, be aware of the need to approach the car park entrance with care, using the turning point a little higher up the road. This location means you have direct access to the lovely Panorama walk to a viewpoint.

Review 106:Clean tidy rooms with fantastic views. Great breakfast with fantastic views and birds on the bird tables. Easy access to Snowdonia, ask David to show you the short driving route via Lake Vymry and the high passes. Fabulous. Great hosts!
