Review 1：I had two demands : a quiet room and i paid extra for extra Space. The superior room was tiny : no furniture, no sofa, no desk as for the quietness, my room (room 103) was on a busy street with non double glass Windows so i Heard screaming all night. I had no apologie in the morning when i complained. The girl was either stupid or she tought that i was...

Review 2：Very central and easy to get to but worth upgrading to slightly bigger room. Downside of central is traffic noise from around 6am in the morning so worth staying higher, but remember the hotel has no lift. Staff really helpful and friendly.

Review 13：Although charming, the room was really small, I think the smallest I've ever stayed in. We had to edge around the bed. Okay for one person perhaps, but for two adults it did feel claustrophobic. Plus, there were no instructions about how to use the Nespresso machine, so we went without our coffee the first morning. We thought the machine wasn't working - actually it was us who couldn't work out how to use it. On morning number two, the penny dropped.

Review 14：You couldn't find a hotel in a better location! The Kanai is situated about one minute's walk from the Grand Place, the square that's the main focus of Lille. The hotel was clean and characterful and the staff lovely.

Review 18：Finding the hotel was a bit difficult as the taxi driver couldn't drive to it because it was in a pedestrian only area so we had to get help from passersby to find it then drag our suitcases over the cobbled streets to get there. No lift was a disadvantage but staff helped us with our bags.

Review 22：This is a lovely boutique-style hotel centrally located, within minutes of the center of the old town and no more than a 15 minute walk to the airport bus drop off, the main train stations and the Eurostar train for London. The staff was professional, accommodating and helpful. While on the small size, the room was comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast was presented with style and was delicious.

Review 72：As the reception was one floor up from street level, and as our room (worth reserving if you can) was up 3 more floors, the lack of an elevator was a minus, but in overall terms, price/value outweighed that 'minus'.

Review 73：This boutique hotel has a location that would be hard to beat. Our room, on the top (3rd) floor, was a corner room (302), actually a pie shaped room, looking out on 3 pedestrian streets. A real panorama.

Review 74：I was ready to leave a 100% positive review, however, as I was due to leave I was advised by the receptionist, who had been perfectly pleasant up to this point, that my bill was unpaid. I informed him that the money had come out of my bank, I had already spoken to my bank regarding this as the money had come out the previous night even though the website said it wouldn't come out till the night of the stay. The gentleman then proceeded to tell me that the hotel had blocked the payment and I should make the payment to him, then money taken out of my bank would be refunded. I told him I was unable to do this. I also had to contact my bank to confirm the money had been taken out and I was given an authorisation code. At this point his manner became less pleasant and only after 15 minutes of him trying to persuade me to make another payment was I able to leave, still refusing to make the payment. I am very disappointed with how my visit ended as prior to this I really had no complaints. If the hotel policy is to request the money from the bank the day before a stay this should be stated on the website and also if they then want payment made at the end of the stay, this should also be advised. I wish I didn't have to leave a negative comment but felt that this matter needed to be addressed. I would be reluctant to stay at the hotel again which is a shame as my friend and I had been planning another visit in the spring.

Review 75：I booked this hotel due to the location, I wanted it to be close to the Christmas Market and I wasn't disappointed! The market was right on the doorstep-perfect! The hotel was clean and the room was a lovely size with everything we needed!

Review 81：You couldn't beat the location of this hotel so close to the heart of the Old Lille. Short walk from the train station too. The staff was marvelous. They went out of their way whether it was getting us an iron and inroning board or recommending good restaurants. While this is a three star hotel, it has a five star staff.

It was almost impossible for 2 average size people, to move from the bed to the bathroom, let alone have 2 large suitcases in the room. It's by far the smallest bedroom we have ever been in & we travel extensively! Therefore, it's hard to say it was value for money.

Review 90：This wonderful hotel is positioned in a great location within the citycentre. It's only a 10 minute walk from Lille Flanders railwaystation, 5 more minutes from Gare Lille Europe. The front of the hotelcan be easily missed so it's best to have a route planned. Check-inwas very easy and reception helped us with our bags to our room. Ourroom was wonderful. Absolutely spotless, bed was excellent, socomfortable, all usual facilities provided in the room and were able toborrow an iron from reception. Quite often enjoyed watching shopperspass by from the hotel window. Hotel is cleaned every day. Everyone whoworks in this hotel made our stay a very pleasant time. The continentalbreakfast was fresh and plentiful. As this hotel is in the city centre,you are very close to all the local brassieres and restaurants. I haveno hesitation in recommending this place to anyone as this is a quality,yet surprisingly affordable place to stay. Top marks.

Review 97：The hotel was a lot smaller than I had anticipated; the room was basically just large enough to fit a double bed and desk. I was travelling on my own, and struggled on my own in terms of space. However if you will be mainly out exploring Lille, then this is fine. Cleanliness was average, although the cleaners did not replace my toilet paper, so things like that I had to ask them to do. There is no lift either, which was fine for me, however this is something to be mindful of if you are travelling with heavy or large luggage.

We didn't make a complain, but the state of the room really put us off.
