Reviews for Park & Suites Elégance La Ciotat
Review 1:Wifi internet access was terrible. Virtually unusable and completely unacceptable in this day and age.
Review 2:Very handy, simple but nice rooms. Will stay again.
Review 3:Full of men working in area. No cleaning or fresh towels in apartment.when staying for 11nights this is unacceptable. One chair missing, broken lamp and no kettle. Had to ask for more towels on arrival as only one small and large were provided.
Review 4:Good location
Review 5:Very poor quality breakfast and expensive, maybe we were unlucky and caught them on a bad day.
Review 6:Location is excellent, 1 minute walk to bars and restaurants.
Review 7:When we asked reception if we could stay another night, they stated they had no rooms available. But we were able to book online. The reception girl was very embarrassed to find this out.
Review 8:Location Location Location
Review 9:One of us was sleepin in the sofa bed and it wasnt very comfortable but for one night was ok
Review 10:Great position. As soon as you get out of the apartment you are in front of the harbour. Everythin is new and has nice design
Review 11:They asked me if I had reserved the parking (to pay of course)... If only I had known I would have done so. Please tell customers before / soon after they reserve.
Review 12:The receptionist who dealt with payment of our apartment, after an eight night, flexible, stay, was rude. The way in which payment was taken was very strange and I still feel suspicious of her actions.
Review 13:The location was the best thing about the apartments,
Review 14:Room not too big, not much space to cook and eat. Bigger supermarket around 10 minutes by car.
Review 15:Well located at the old port. Walking distance to the major places around the harbor.
Review 16:The hotel wasn't correctly mapped in Here (app), and directions inside the city were not very clear. The hotel is located inside a pedestrian area so a car needs to be parked on payed parking nearby.
Review 17:Staff was welcoming, location is excellent for browsing the old town area of La Ciotat. It's also near the secluded (though crowded) beaches within the cliffs, 3-5 minute drive.
Review 18:WiFi could barely load even mobile versions of websites. Even with a parking reservation we couldn't always get a spot in the garage. They didn't clean while we were there. Beds uncomfortable. Had to ask for extra pillows and toilet paper. Really hard to find.
Review 19:Staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful. Apartment was clean when we came in. La Ciotat has a kid-friendly beach.
Review 20:Checking in takes forever, not sure why. They have a strange policy of charging you 1 euro for everything: internet, keeping you luggage, city tax, etc. This gets quite annoying, especially since they could have easily included all this charges into the room price.
Review 21:The location is nice, rooms are spacious.
Review 22:Breakfast expensive, limited choice and poor quality. Only one member of staff who could not keep up with clearing tables and bringing fresh food.
Review 23:Large functional room with shady balcony.
Review 24:The location is fantastic, walking distance to shops, street markets, restaurants. About a 300 metre walk to bus terminus. The kitchen was a bit limited regarding the type of utensils that were provided. A microwave, 2 hot plates and a fridge is available.
Review 25:The staff seems very indifferent and is mostly rude. Every person I saw staying there had a frown on their faces. Location and facility are decent but staff needs to be trained to at least smile when saying no (the most common word I heard from them over 5 days).
Review 26:Wifi didn't work in breakfast area. No hairdryer in the room - you have to ask for it in the reception. Room cleaning for short-stay is done only upon request - not automatically.
Review 27:Good location close to old harbour where you can find many nice restaurants. Car parking available (for extra fee, of course). If B&W hotel is full, then this is my next choice when I come to La Ciotat.
Review 28:Bathroom, shower is hand held so it made showering a little more difficult. There were no "grab-rails" in the shower and no anti-slip mat. As we are a more mature couple this was a bit of a concern. Being English we missed the provision of a kettle!!
Review 29:Location excellent Staff all helpful and friendly
Review 30:-Reception in difficult to find at first. -Bath-Shower head fixing not convenient
Review 31:-Location very central and quiet. -Good parking facility and direct access to the studio. -Basic but fully equipped studio.
Review 32:The housekeeper entered the room without knocking, they took a pre-auth of my card and then charged which held onto double the funds for the weekend. Reception sent another guest to our room in error. They never apologised for any instances. The shower is not placed to stand and have a shower
Review 33:The rooms are clean and the facilities are good
Review 34:Airconditioning did not work. Late arrival: envelope in outside mailbox OK, however, nowhere stated which room number I had. I was later told it is marked on the key; which it is but in tiny tiny letter. Despite hanigng out request panel for cleaning room, no cleaning was done.
Review 35:Great location, close to shops, bars, restaurants and a few steps from the port. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Review 36:Train station a bit far from town centre.
Review 37:The location near the ocean. Marina cafés resturaunts, markets and the abianance of the town and national park and coast line . The information centre was excellent food And bars were great to,
Review 38:We made the mistake of booking the breakfast at I think 13 euros. It was terrible. The croissants and pastries were all small but worse they were always burnt. They made much of having 'fresh' fruit - the amount put out was tiny and not at all fresh looking. The variety was pathetic for the price. Do not have this - the 'apartment' is provided with a small kitchenette - though really not a table to eat at - make your own coffee and go out and gets croissants.
Review 39:The location is very close to the water front, just up a walkway off the harbour side road. Difficult to find unless you have precise instructions but we asked at the tourist office and then found it without problem. Once inside the property is pleasant and the receptionist was very friendly. Our room was as we would have expected - not large but adequate - and fresh and clean looking - value for what we paid which was approx 80 euros each night. No where to sit outside other than a very concrete small patio area.
Review 40:Nothing wrong with the hotel but my wife and I staied at La Ciotat because hotels in Cassis were fully booked. Surprisingly , althought the 13km between both villages you cannot move easily. No directed buses. Not easy to find Taxis in the street.
Review 41:Nice staff and breakfast
Review 42:Extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing location just a few yards from the port. The room we had was really spotlessly clean and we were lucky enough to have a small terrace where we ate our breakfast. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.
Review 43:Unfortunately the room smelled of sewage for the entire stay. No matter what we did we could not get rid of this smell. It was an expensive room at 130 euro per night for a basic room. We informed the staff about the terrible smell and their suggestion was for my Husband and i to go to the supermarket and purchase a room deodorizer. We were in La Ciotat for business and for one did not even have time to go to the supermarket for such a purchase. I would have thought that at the very least the hotel would have offered a room deodorizer. The problem was poorly handled, especially given the price that we paid for the room.
Review 44:la ciotat is not a very nice place, industrial port near by, city center quite scatchy at night
Review 45:great value, very good location to explore the calanques (the absolut highlight of our trip)
Review 46:Everything was as we expected. The kitchenette was tiny, but as described on the site, and it did the job we needed.
Review 47:Great location, just a stone's throw from the quayside. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Apartment was compact and clean. The balcony was great for breakfast.
Review 48:Not a room with a view. Unstable wi-fi.
Review 49:Nice to have a balcony Well planned apartement (we statyed at the top floor where the apartments have a sleeping loft). The Old Port with lots of restaurants and market every summer night.
Review 50:Fixed shower position very low!
Review 51:Great location, just off quayside. Duplex apartment very well set up, did not feel at all cramped with 2 adults and 2 kids. Very quiet location and hotel. Very friendly and helpful receptionist.
Review 52:It is quite difficult to locate the hotel. The main entrance is not accessible by car and the sign is small
Review 53:The hotel is behind the main street, it is quiet and yet very convenience. Restaurants, beaches and the ports are all within walking distance
Review 54:The desk was not staffed at night and we didn't have a phone to call the night line, so had difficulty with late check-in. There was no place to recycle cans. There was no milk or creamer to put in the free coffee.
Review 55:Staff with great English skills, very helpful and knowledgeable about the town. Clean. Nice linen and comfortable beds.
Review 56:The breakfast was quite expensive so we walked to a little cafe which was half the price.
Review 57:Location was a short stroll from the harbour area with lots of cafés and restaurants
Review 58:trying to find this place was a nightmare!
Review 59:Rom was a little tired, could of done with some decorating.
Review 60:Great location and good value for money.
Review 61:Excellent location near harbour behind the Best Western. Not too noisy. Rooms clean, comfy bed, balcony.
Review 62:Location. Had kitchenette
Review 63:Had to pay for wifi on top of room rate. No room service for apartments.
Review 64:Great location near the port. Able to park car but this was extra.
Review 65:Reception lenta e confusa.
Review 66:Comfort.
Review 67:Paid WIFI was very poor and needs improvement
Review 68:Almost everything was OK except WIFI
Review 69:The accommodation/apartment Could do with a coat of paint!
Review 70:Location, location, location.
Review 71:Nothing
Review 72:Excellent almost new apartments, staff very helpful, excellent breakfast.
Review 73:Cleaner didn't come all week
Review 74:Great location, well appointed room, had everything we needed.
Review 75:Location
Review 76:Tough to find, even with a GPS in the rental car.
Review 77:Okay place.
Review 78:Apartment block located a very short walk from the quay around the old port.
Review 79:Needs more maintenance. Reception was open only a few hours a day during the period.
Review 80:Location. Spacious apartment.
Review 81:Doors did not lick, pushed the lick and doors still opened, very unsafe
Review 82:Not much
Review 83:Shower wAs broken. Room was okay
Review 84:Location to harbour restaurants and walking trails
Review 85:Great location
Review 86:The bed was small The room doesn't look nice as the photos. Many dishes and tools were missing in the kitchen
Review 87:Nice stuff , great location
Review 88:the larger rooms with a sofa bed and kitchenette make it feel more like an apartment which is good.
Review 89:Reception timing very limited.
Review 90:The apartment was clean and well appointed. Location is great - only a short stroll to the marina. All good. Thanks.
Review 91:No internet access is not acceptable.
Review 92:Comfortable room Good breakfast Tv channel Canal +
Review 93:Nice big studio with a balcony. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff, great location.
Review 94:Far from beaches
Review 95:Parking on site
Review 96:Location and parking great for port and old town.
Review 97:It was difficult to find with gps because it's tucked back off the road but when I called the staff was great to guide me in.
Review 98:Good location, very nice staff, comfortable.
Review 99:The view from the double rooms is at the car park, which is quite depressing. This is not made clear on Booking.com website. There are no bigger cups or mugs (only tiny ones). We had to drink coffee/tea from the bowl. Is it a French way of doing things? Other reviews mentioned this as well but the management has done nothing about it so far. Please provide proper cups or mugs!!!!
Review 100:Location is excellent, in the harbour and walking distance to Park du Mugel. Parking is underneath the hotel and the lift from the car park takes you straight to the hotel. Once you know how to get to the car park, this is quite easy.
Review 101:Nice surprise located in the old harbour of La Ciotat. We got a penthouse flat with balcony for 4 people for 80 euro a night. Parking in garage downstairs cost 10 euro. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
Review 102:We arrived late to our hotel and had rung earlier to arrange collection of the key. That was no problem. The next night however, as we were out late and returned after reception had closed, we had no way of getting in as we didn't have an electronic tag and nor did our key work to open the front door of the hotel. The hotel also lacked some basic items in the rooms, such as a kettle, hair dryer, iron/ironing board.
Review 103:Great location. Walking distance to the harbour. Room was clean. Staff were friendly.
Review 104:If you dont have the car and you need to travel on Sunday you would need to walk for over one hour to the railway station as there is no public transport and even the taxi is impossible to get. On the plus side if there is a fine weather and you dont have too much luggage the walk is quite pleasant
Review 105:The location is really great to see the centre of the town and the local calanaques
Review 106:lack of indoor table/seating as this is a studio with cooking facilities. could benefit from some mugs or larger cups in the kitchen!
Review 107:convenience of location. secure underground parking.
Review 108:Apartments are very basic ,bed rock hard. Basic cooking equipment ,not that you could on 2 rings & only 18 square inches of work surface. No UK tv channels
Review 109:Location is great
Review 110:bed was horrendous, worst night sleep ever in any hotel!!!! It was a metal frame sofa bed with pubes in it from previous occupants. Shower was non-functional, bath plug would not work.# Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review 111:location
Review 112:Hard to get to. The street in front does not go through yet you had to get to the front desk to get a code to get into the parking garage.
Review 113:The hotel was different than we were expecting. It was more oriented to business travelers. Comfortable but sparten. It had laundry facilities which was helpful on our 2 week trip. I've never been in a hotel where all the hall lights shut off every few minutes and come back on with motion sensors.
Review 114:Difficulty in getting to hotel upon arriving (the door is a block fromeither main street with no auto access). No instructions for unloading.Desk clerk was not clean--we had to ask the Best Western forinstructions/directions. Tight quarters in the parking area. Not allcharges listed on my bill so I got an unfriendly email after returning, even thought I had a zero balance showing on my account when we paid andchecked out.
Review 115:Apparent security. Quiet. Maid service better than advertised (we didget clean towels every day).
Review 116:Although our room was large our companions' was a little smaller, however still large for a hotel room. Don't forget to book parking in advance, spaces fill up fast (but the hotel does have an agreement with a nearby multi-story, so you will never need to trek miles).
Review 117:Perfect hotel in the perfect location! La Ciotat is a beautiful town and the hotel is situated perfectly to enjoy its delights. Set back from the harbor-front, it is quiet at night, however it takes less than a minute to get to the harbor front with delicious restaurants and bars. There is a night market most evenings which means that the whole area near the hotel is pedestrianised. The nearest beaches arent right on the doorstep however they are easy to find and are about 15 mins walk away. The actual hotel has 24 hour reception, and the staff were all excellent. Do bear in mind that you are essentially renting an apartment here and not staying in a hotel, therefore you are expected to keep your own room clean unless you specifically request a cleaner and likewise with towels. The self-catering facilities are excellent, but if you want a good sized cup, bring it yourself, they drink espresso! We cooked sausages from the Sunday market and warmed up snacks, but if you are on a serious budget, you would be able to cook all your meals here.
Review 118:The location is hard to find. The parking is cumbersome. The hotel cannot be directly accessed from the parking lot.
Review 119:The apartment is spacious, very clean, comfortable, well equipped. There is a big balcony looking to the yard. Climatization is good, even in the hallway. Good elevator.
Review 120:Everything was great, better than expected. The staff was very helpful, rooms clean, location is good, though a 20 mins walk from the beach we favoured. I could only recommend it to anyone.
Review 121:Location was fantastic. Modern hotel with secure undergound parking. Once car parked able to explore La Ciotat by foot. Would stay here again. Room clean and comfortable.
Review 122:Location very bad if you want to be within walking distance to the beach. Bed is really bad quality. Location is not in gps, it should be stated in the website. I really do not recommend this hotel. The fact that you have to pay just arriving is really very not nice.
Review 123:Far from beaches. Shower in bath was inconvenient, because you had to hold it with one hand - it had no fixture above bath. Finding parking was a big problem and parking garages are expensive.
Review 124:The apartment was clean and had a good setting close to waterfront and lots of restaurants to choose from.
Review 125:Upon arrival the room was not smelling fresh. There is no circulation of air even if there is a balcony. Cheap chairs and table on the balcony. My daughter of 5 years felt off the chair on day onethe smell coming from the water container behind the front door is annoying.
Review 126:Close to restaurants, possibility to park on site.
Review 127:Address is not in the gps maps, because it really isn't a street(blocked off) therefore was difficult to find.
Review 128:Spacious room with small area to cook. Well located Friendly staff, whospoke enough English to get by.
