Reviews for Hôtel Ariane & SPA
Review 1:view from the room is unexciting but i could live with that
Review 2:- Location, close to Mt St Michel, Dinard, Saint Malo, St Lunaire - The Spa - Internet quality was very good in our room - quiet
Review 3:Hotel is opposite the rail station and a shuttle bus goes from there to the end of the causeway at Mont St Michel. Hotel bed was very comfy and the room was immaculate.
Review 4:I really liked the fact that the room was very clean, every morning we could make tea (you have the possibility to do it in the room and every day we received two Lipton tea bags) and the bed was very comfortable. Nice, clean bath and towels. The hotel is situated in a nice and safe area, near the railways station, very convenient for going to Mont Saint Michel.
Review 5:the photos in the website do not define the hotel. I just don't think that with all facilities and comfort they provide are worth the price we paid.
Review 6:The location is really good. Opposite to the SNCF train station and the bus stop to Mont Saint Michel (which takes only 15 minutes to the place).
Review 7:Easy access to Mont St Michel by local shuttle bus at the station opposite. Plenty of restaurants in Pontorson within easy walk. Nice garden to sit in with a drink from the bar.
Review 8:nothing to mention!
Review 9:The location from Le Mont Saint Michel is not far! The staff (i think the owner Mr. Pascal is so nice), Very clean and the bed sheets are clean!
Review 10:The location is excellent if you want to visit Mont-Saint-Michel. Pontorson itself is very charming and has a couple good options for dinner - mainly Le Grillon.
Review 11:Optimise the freshness at breakfast buffet for late customers.
Review 12:Very friendly owners. Their hotel Ariane in Pontorson is near to thebus, going to Mont St Michel, early in the morning. While my wife wasvisiting, I did my exercices in the brand new SPA-swimming pool (cause Isuffer of multiple sclerosis). The temperature was perfectly warm forme; water very clean; hygiene optimal. We had a small but very comfyroom, and should certainly return !
Review 13:I had a bath and a shower but no curtain. My mistake I should have asked for a room with a shower only.
Review 14:It was easy to find the Hotel by Sat Nav. The location was brilliant for me, the local Bus to go to St Mont Michel. 3.20euros was just across the road. The room was clean and comfy, with English TV. Breakfast was good. Car parking off street was good and secure. The Receptionist was so helpful with all my questions. I will stay there again.
Review 15:No shower curtain. A bit on the expensive side.
Review 16:Location was very central. We arrived early but had not problem in checking in. Staff were very friendly
Review 17:The continental breakfast was a bit pricey for what was served. It think the hotel description is slightly over-inflated. While nice, I wouldn't consider it a spa (unless that's the definition of a hotel that has a swimming pool).
Review 18:This small hotel is clean and conveniently located if you're planning to visit Mont St. Michel. The room, while comfortable and clean, was not as nice as I expected based on the pictures. The beds were comfortable.
Review 19:Maybe the stay would have been more convenient if we had internet, otherwise everything was perfect.
Review 20:As the hotel was fully booked we were offered accommodation in a separate house approx. 500 m from the hotel with no extra charges. The house was in beautiful condition, very authentic and we truly appreciated the manager's efforts to provide us a nice place to stay, which can be considered as an upgrade. I need to highlight the fantastic quality of the bed and towels (5-star hotel level). The only thing we had to compromise was the lack of internet but as we were on holiday, it was not a must for a 1-night stay. (We were kindly offered to use the hotel's internet if needed.) The location of the house and the hotel is equally great, 2-300 meters away from the main street where we found a great restaurant (Baroque).
Review 21:A day at Mont St Michel by bus (3euro) outside hotel direct to site is well recommended. On return a soak in hotels spa pool is also recommended. Staff lovely and helpful.
Review 22:Was expecting a bath and shower, but only had a shower, breakfast overpriced.
Review 23:Great location for a short stay, pleasant staff who spoke good English. Comfortable room.
Review 24:Breakfast selection is a bit poor and perhaps a bit overpriced. We were charged about 10euro per head, but the food was under expectation.
Review 25:Easy access to the train station and the local bus stop. Room is averaged but overall is in good size and clean.
Review 26:breakfast price (10 eur), private car park for 8 eur (but there's plenty of space just on the road in front of the hotel)
Review 27:cleanliness, tea/coffee facilities in the room, the bath tub
Review 28:Nothing to dislike
Review 29:Room was spacious. Bathroom modern. Staff excellent. Nice garden. Bar was nicely decorated and drinks reasonably priced. Shuttle bus to Mont Saint Michel. Close to the train station.
Review 30:When we arrived, owner told me that breakfast would be free for our children of 4 and 6 years old. At the end of our stay, the lady who check us out charged us for the kids breakfast although I told her the owner said otherwise.
Review 31:Close to Mont St Michel.
Review 32:basic, functional rooms were not stylishly decorated and had basic interior. Hotel and staff had functional but not "warm" welcome.
Review 33:Good location for visiting Mount St Michel and the associated coastline. Good relaxed sitting room with plenty of seats and tables near reception.
Review 34:We checked in late. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk. We called the hotel and the front desk guy answered. He was upset that we woke him up and informed us that he left the key in our door. This was odd.
Review 35:It was clean, near Mount St Michele.
Review 36:None
Review 37:Very convenient for access to the town. Breakfast
Review 38:All great
Review 39:Nothing , loved the cat in his chair in the bar!
Review 40:Great stay, so much so we accidently took the room key , accident!!
Review 41:Wifi
Review 42:Staff
Review 43:Close to station Very fast wifi Recommendation for dinner at nearby restaurant by staff
Review 44:No bad experience! :-)
Review 45:The rooms were clean and nicely renovated, reception personnel friendly and helpful.
Review 46:Great staff
Review 47:Price
Review 48:Kind staff, hotel is located close to the stop of bus to Le Mont
Review 49:Proximity to Mont St Michel in a nice quiet area with not too many tourists.
Review 50:Helpful staff secure parking
Review 51:Felt like a home from home and not a hotel at all.
Review 52:Good car parking, garden and bar, bus to MSM literally other side of road.
Review 53:Nice swim spa and sauna. close to The Mont
Review 54:very close to Mont St Michel if you travel by car, clean, nice parking, stayed in a cottage, very good bed, staff A+++.
Review 55:The tap water was not so clean(it's yellow!)
Review 56:The staffs are very nice and kind!
Review 57:Parking
Review 58:Dark decor. Not enough electric points
Review 59:Lack of proper shower facility with comfort room. Lighting in corridor to bed rooms is not automatic.
Review 60:Proximity to Mont St Michel. Good breakfast.
Review 61:Old fashioned
Review 62:Family rooms
Review 63:Nice duplex room, located next to the American cimetery and Omaha beach. No better location possible if that is what you want to visit
Review 64:Nothing
Review 65:Excellent position, and helpful staff
Review 66:No milk or coffee in the room, just two tea bags and sugar. It costs little to provide this. Ran out of croissants at breakfast
Review 67:Clean and modern room Good location Good cycling parking
Review 68:We were a cycling group of 14 - accommodation and hotel comfortable and clean. Reception was were very helpful when booking a taxi for 9. Breakfast was adequate.
Review 69:Reception could tell the visitor about the habit not to provide soup / shampo at the second days..
Review 70:Room was very nice and large, clean and comfortable
Review 71:This hotel advertises a restaurant with 'regional food etc.' on your site but the restaurant was said not to exist! Residual staff. Ghostlike. Why was it open? We were only guests on 2nights.
Review 72:The bed was low to the floor and the bathtub was v-shaped at the bottom - making it difficult to get in and out of .
Review 73:Hotel Ariane was located near the train station which allowed us an early morning departure. The room was neat and clean and updated. Dinner was not served that evening - but there are restaurants nearby. We did not take breakfast there.
Review 74:Could not find hotel as the name on the front is the old one and it looks like 2 different buildings. The new name in large metal silver letters on the gates does not work as one tends not to read vertically! Had to park in street outside although it proved safe. Nice town.
Review 75:Friendly and helpful owner, who recommended places to eat nearby. Comfortable room with striking design. Nice breakfast area with potted plants and the asset of being on the 1st floor. Small railway outside our window was not an issue.
Review 76:Bath a little small and no shower
Review 77:Good location for mont st Michael and surrounding areas. Good sized and clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Great cognac in bar! Staff friendly.
Review 78:Bit hot in the room but that was because of the lovely summer weather.
Review 79:The room was great - very spacious with a separate area for the children's beds. Nice bathroom accessories and even tea/coffee making facilities in room (unusual in France!). The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a shuttle bus from almost outside the hotel directly to Mont St Michel, so could leave the car in the hotel car park. We had an excellent breakfast which was free for the children.
Review 80:I really didn't like the fact that they charge 6 euro for theirparking per day.
Review 81:The hotel was very nice with a beautiful garden. We really enjoyed thebar as well. The breakfast was very nice as well.
Review 82:Early morning when other people were leaving, there were lots of door slamming. Think that was the way the door design to ensure the door close but many loud bangs in the morning wasn't the great way to start of the day.
Review 83:Loved the style that the hotel is trying to achieve. Very modern and clean. The bath was great!
Review 84:Proximity of the train... Way too close. Breakfast isn't cheap byany mean, and not at all exceptional, especially since it's closingat 10 in the morning.
Review 85:Quiet neighborhood, even with the train station right next to the hotel(but we were on the good side of it to be honest). Very clean, even iflooking a bit dated. But the best thing is its proximity of the MontSaint Michel
Review 86:Even though Hotel Ariane is close to the train line, the double glazing and complete blackout blinds make the surrounds imperceptible. We stayed in the one luxury room, and it was worth it - the bathroom was exceptionally well appointed.
Review 87:Rooms had no A/C which made for a uncomfortable night. Rooms did not have shower stalls, but bathtubs with made showering difficult.
Review 88:Location, outdoor seating, free parking on the street.
Review 89:more information in advance about tours in the area and specifically for St Michel
Review 90:service, conditions, renovated, nice breakfast, all the staff speaks English and very friendly
Review 91:I had booked the wrong night,. but the gentleman was happy to change the night for the night prior with no extra charge, he was really helpful. Bathrooms are great, rooms clean, towels big and fluffy. Right on the railway track but couldn't hear a thing. I would recommend anyone to stay here, it was close to Mont St Michel and quiet, away from the crowds, Pretty town and safe to wander about the town after dark.
Review 92:Reception unattended on arrival .Had to search for staff.Possibly understaffed
Review 93:Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast provided. Good location for exploring Mont Saint Michel
Review 94:There is a very strict rule about NO FOOD in the room, which is difficult for travellers. There are many opportunities to purchase fresh cheese, bread and fruit in this village yet the restriction is limiting.
Review 95:Hotel Ariane provided us very comfortable, clean accommodations for our visit to Mont St. Michel. The added breakfast was convenient although only cold food (ham, eggs, cheese, and yogurt), yet many choices in pastry - croissants to crepes and excellent coffee.
Review 96:Very small bathrooms, no view.
Review 97:Clean and spacious rooms, organized hotel.
Review 98:the shower in the bathtub, not easy to get in.
Review 99:very nice hotel, pleasant room, great bed, with nice breakfast in the morning
Review 100:cold atmosphere, lifeless
Review 101:clean, central location
Review 102:Convenient to rail station
Review 103:Very noisy when a tour group left at 5am. Very basic bathroom. No teamaking facilities.
Review 104:Location Price Clean
Review 105:The Rooms are spacious and clean. A lovely cosy hotel and only 10min drive to Mont St Michel.
Review 106:Nice, new and confortable rooms. Friendly reception
Review 107:Great location after touring Mt. St. Michel. Small town, nice to walkaround in and staff was very helpful.
Review 108:Breakfast was plain.
Review 109:Value for money. Good sized modern room. Good facilities in room.
Review 110:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great for visiting le mont st. Michel. Excellent but a little pricey breakfast.
Review 111:Perfect for an overnight stop. Family suite was great for a family travelling with 2 teen boys.
Review 112:Good access from Mt. Saint Michel
Review 113:Staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was close to shops, restaurants and Mont Saint Michel.
