Reviews for Le Moulin Du Port
Review 1:Absolutely NOTHING!
Review 2:What an amazing location and Le Moulin du Port certainly has the WOW factor! Our hostess, Isabelle, could not have done more for us and her breakfasts were superb. If ever we are in that area of the Loire again we shall certainly stay at the Moulin du Port and would thoroughly recommend it to wine lovers and visitors to chateaux alike.
Review 3:Lovely welcoming host who booked us into an excellent restaurant for dinner. We had a large room overlooking the river with a very comfortable bed. And a very good breakfast.
Review 4:We loved the location- right by the Cher river which was a beautiful setting. We also felt that our host, Isabel, went over and beyond when it came to helping us orientate ourselves to the area, the sites and the Loire locale in general. She was wonderful to work with!!
Review 5:A beautifully tranquil Mill. It has a good swimming pool. The rooms are pleasant, clean and tastefully decorated, and there is a large and welcoming sitting area. The balcony where you can see the Mill Wheel is amazing. Isabelle is a great host who can help with advice about things to do!
Review 6:No Tv in the room (however there is a tv room at the first floor) not necessarily a bad think if you want to relax!
Review 7:the amiability of the owner, Isabelle was very kind and she explained us a lot of thinks what to do/where to eat, etc. In one hour radius you can have access to one of the best castles from the Loire Valey.
Review 8:nothing
Review 9:the location on the river, watching the river at breakfast, comfortable room and bath, lovely and helpful hostess, excellent restaurants nearby
Review 10:Nothing. Ok it does not look like a picture postcard grand chateau - because it isn't. But then there are lots of those in Loire valley and how many riverside mills are there with working water wheels and heated swimming pools?
Review 11:After a week cooped up on a boat on a french river my wife wanted something different. So I booked the top floor room in the Moulin du Port overlooking the River Cher with the soothing sound of the weir and what turned out to be an excellent bed in room nearly as big as the whole boat we'd been on. Isabelle seemed very professional on first greeting us (showing us the enormous still turning water wheel) and explaining how to get in and out after hours. After our 2nd petit dejeuner with delicious homemade jams and an intriguing cheesy concoction she proved a charming hostess - apologizing for the fact we had to roll back the cover of the heated pool for an early morning swim and advising us to visit Chenonceaux (a delightful 4km walk from the Moulin along the path on either side of the Cher) first or last thing to miss the coach parties. As a result we had the chateau to ourselves and the gardiens when it closed of an evening. Nice touch - after a boat -was the big windowed bedroom with the views and the toilet separate from the bathroom.
Review 12:Everything was fantastic
Review 13:This was a peaceful and relaxful stay. Isabel was wonderful. She provided fresh breakfast to start the day off wonderful. The recommendations for dinner were great.
Review 14:Fantastic view of the Cher River. Isabelle is very helpful. Wonderful and plentiful breakfast. Fantastic location to the chateaux. Rooms are exceptionally clean, large and beautifully decorated.
Review 15:The ensuite bath had a tub but only a hand shower.
Review 16:Very accommodating and charming owners. Loved the tea and coffee being available all the time. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 17:Not much, really. Oh, I suppose the fact that, according to the cancellation terms, if I had been forced for some reason to cancel during the week before arriving, I would have had to forfeit the payment for my entire 6 days' stay. I should mention, however, that Thierry told me that that condition had been inserted in order to counteract perennial multiple-bookers and late cancellers; that as a small establishment they could not afford no-shows; and that in the case of a genuine difficulty, he would have come to a reasonable compromise.
Review 18:Where should I start? The friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts; the wonderful view across the river; the sound of water from the mill race and weir; the delicious breakfasts prepared by Isabel; her excellent suggestions regarding walks and local restaurants; and the blessed absence of a tv in the room.
Review 19:A small niggle but its location requires a 15 minute car drive into Montrichard or Chenonceau for one's evening meal.
Review 20:Ten out of ten for character, charm and hospitality. The English-speaking hostess could not have been more helpful and serves a superb breakfast that includes home-made jams and other goodies. Well appointed, spotlessly clean rooms.Brilliant situation on the restful River Cher.
Review 21:Nothing
Review 22:Nice big room with views over the garden. Big shower with lots of hot water. Charming host who could not do enough for us and a delicious breakfast.
Review 23:The house and location were lovely. The breakfast was really good especially the home made cheese with black currant. We stayed 2 nights with our teenage daughter and it's a great location for visiting Chennonceaux chateaux, Amboise and surrounding area.
Review 24:Tiny flies from the river on warm nights so keep windows closed until lights out if you don't want any unwelcome guests.
Review 25:Isobel made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived until we left and provided us with plenty of information about local sights, restaurants and places of interest. The house and bedroom were spacious and homely with a lively aroma of fresh bread cooking in the evening. The breakfasts were delicious and Isobel's homemade jams a real treat. The pool was well maintained and very clean. The grounds are nice but could do with some lighting on driveway at night. As a location, it is very peaceful along by the river and was ideal to explore many of the local towns and chateaus with top of the list being Chenonceaux and Clos Luce in Amboise.
Review 26:Lovely location. Very peaceful. Comfortable rooms. Very welcoming owners.
Review 27:Isabelle was a positive delight. The Moulin du Port property is heavenly beyond belief.
Review 28:Be prepared for the noise of the water if you stay in one of rooms with a river view
Review 29:Everything.

Review 38:Thanks for all!

Review 40:location
Review 41:The location, the setting are excellent. The house itself is beautiful and very unique, with a waterwheel as part of the house. Breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of items, including the fresh goat chees with a homemade fruit sauce. Isabel is a wonderful and very helpful host. This was my second visit and I hope to return. The first time I was with my sister and this time with a friend who had never traveled. She loved everything about this B&B.
Review 42:Lovely location beside the Cher river. We had a river view room lovely. There is a lift so no bags to be carried. Good parking. Owner suggested excellent restaurants.
Review 43:there was not a thing we didn't like on our stay here.
Review 44:we loved everything about our stay here. Such a tranquil and beautiful setting. Isabel was a wonderful host who helped us in so many ways. Breakfast was amazing as is the beautiful old house. We have been travelling for 3 months and this was one of my favourite places we have stayed. I hope to return one day but for a much longer stay.
Review 45:The place has charm - founded on former mill , the view to the river is great, our hostess Mrs Isabelle was so friendly and nice, the breakfast was plenty and the cost benefit was excelente for a such peaceful B&B. Finally, the location is good for many Chateaus and countryside area ( you must have a car ). We will stay again when we back to visit Loire valley .
Review 46:The room was superbe, quite, large. Breakfast served in the green housewith view on the Cher, was excellent. Parking lot was free of charge.Close to Chenonceau, Amboise, Blois. This is an perfect location.
Review 47:Having to leave.
Review 48:Isabelle, the owner, made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The hotel is very homely and a relaxing place to be. Close to many Chateau and other towns in the area. Has a very friendly cat that made us feel at home.
Review 49:The whole experience was wonderful. The owners were so friendly, the breakfast was lovely, the room had such a glorious view, wish we had the time to stay longer .
Review 50:The free Wi-fi was a bit weak, as it worked only in the downstairscommon area and not in our 2d floor rooms. The hotel is small, however-- with only two or three other guest couples, so the common area wasquite ok for using one's tablet or laptop, or the laptop that isavailable there for guests' use.
Review 51:Our cordial hostess met us warmly and provided both a tour and briefingof the lovely country establishment and a detailed review of nearbyrestaurants (including sample menus). Our two couples enjoyed two largerooms facing the Cher River, which were lovely and spotless, and thefine breakfast each morning. The setting was quiet and the roomscomfortable, with a large common room and heated swimming pool. It isperhaps 5 miles from Chenanceaux, with its variety of nice restaurantsin different price ranges.
Review 52:Everything. The owners were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Loved our stay there and the House was beautiful. Would go there again and recommend to others.
