Reviews for Residence Le Petit Tétras
Review 1:There was no balcony as described in the booking.com site. There is no one at the reception most of the time and it is difficult to contact any staff if needed.
Review 2:The location was very good, the rooms were clean.
Review 3:Staff are essentially non existent, for two full days we saw literally nobody. Nobody on reception to ask questions, Very limited food options nearby, you need to walk 20 mins down the hill to Sixt.
Review 4:1 minute walk to the ski lift for Sixt and to the shuttle bus to get to Le Grand Massif. Great views from the room. Cheap It's the red route bus if you need to check time tables
Review 5:The beds were ok, only the pillows were too hard for me. The place is excellent value for money and great location for beginner/kids skiing. Not super fancy, but clean and comfortable, perfect for a weekend stay. Amazing views!
Review 6:Beds are very uncomfortable, the nearest shop is within 20 minutes walk.
Review 7:Hotel is located close to the bus stop and just at the end of Piste de les Cascades. Nice small kitchen, the rest of facilities is a bit basic but enough for those who come just for skiing. Ability to book the room for a couple of days makes it a great choice for a weekend trip.
Review 8:-Internet didn't work in the rooms -Sauna and jacuzzi are 6euros per 30 min !!!! -No restaurant -No breakfast service available at all(simply they don't serve any meal) -Location is remote -The reception is closed most of the time and the telephone contact is a mailbox. -They don't speak english
Review 9:-Kitchen are ok if you wanna cook
Review 10:To ski the main part of the grand massif you would have a drive (or bus) of about 20 mins every morning - but in return you are staying in an amazing location at the head of the valley!
Review 11:We arrived late and the owner emailed us the door code and left our room key out - very useful if you know you will be arriving late.
Review 12:The beds were hard, the owner didn't speak any English hardly seen him there!
Review 13:Ideal for what we wanted, price is good, good value for money, its a little out the way from shops, supermarket we lucky we had a car
Review 14:Rooms are a bit small but again at the price you can't complain.
Review 15:At this price you cannot complain. We would come home from a good days skiing at Samoens and have a nice bath. Relax and do some work emails using free wifi. The view and tranquil surroundings are lovely and with a car the whole valley is very accessible and we would eat out in Samoens or Morillon most nights. All in all good stay at a good price which wont be matched in Grand Massif region!
Review 16:Dirty bed and old sheets. Owner doesnt speak a single english word
Review 17:Good location for hiking, trekking and mointainbiking. Very secluded
Review 18:The owner was difficult to contact on arrival.
Review 19:The location of this hotel was fantastic, we could ski from the front door! Great location for Grand Massif.
Review 20:Rooms very small, my husband & myself couldn't walk around the bed at the same time, no closet space, no space to park your luggage, located in a dead town with no activities or shops/restaurants or pubs reception is available for maximum 1 or 2 hours a day!! Would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. Extremely over priced for what it offers, found much nicer places for 1/3 the price but unfortunately we already prepaid! However the owner/receptionist was friendly.
Review 21:The 2 of us were in room 14 a triple, the beds were hard ,TV only in French , small bathroom, no room service ie beds didnt get made,we went on a ski holiday and luckily we had a car to get to shops etc, wood panelling falling off walls expensive for what it was £80 p night.
Review 22:No common area, no english TV channels, couldn't find area to store ski boots. Some washing up detergent would have been good to keep dishes clean for next use.
Review 23:Room was fine, lovely view, nice balcony. Good value for money. Close to ski bus to take you to Samoens Grand Massif Express. Pizzas from local restaurant are very good.
Review 24:All was fine - if anything... The bath was a bit on the small side!
Review 25:Easy access to Samoens for food / shops and easy drive up to 1600 (30 mins) for skiing. Beautiful walk and restaurant at La Cirque Sixt Fer a Cheval at the end of the valley. Great value for the week. Our two dogs were able to stay.
Review 26:It's a shame that the public areas in the aparthotel are no longer operational as while the family room was a reasonable size with a lovely view, there's not much to do after dark and meals in the room are challenging. This would more of an issue with older children.
Review 27:For a short break on a first family ski trip, the location of the aparthotel is ideal and the variety of available skiing in Sixt/Savagny is just right to get the kids off to a flying start.
Review 28:A little on the quietside. Not really a dislike more of a heads up that a car is needed if you want to pop to the bakery and local shops.
Review 29:The real benifit for us was how close you are to the slopes. As beginers it was nice to be able to walk less than 50 meters and be back at your front door. We had a top floor room and the views are stunning.
Review 30:Not as clean as desired, especially glasses, cups, silver-wear.
Review 31:Reasonable stay in vicinity of Samoens and Grand Massif. On the ski bus route and a short drive to Samoens gondola. Very quiet and an elevator for access to upper floors.
Review 32:A 20min walk to the bakery but not a problem with a car. Hot water ran out .I assume the system couldn t cope with everyone returning from the slopes at the same time.
Review 33:We stayed in a self catering studio. It was incredibly well equipped with even a small dishwasher! The location was good but you would need a car if you stayed there in the summer as there are no buses . The balcony overlooked the ski slopes and view was lovely. There are lots of wonderful walks to do in the summer .
Review 34:Disappointingly, since March 2012, the hotel has no public areas, no restaurant and no bar. There is very limited alternative facilities nearby .
Review 35:Proximity to the slops is the main advantage.
Review 36:No english speaking staff, only french.
Review 37:Nice place in the mountains. Free of charge car parking place. wonderful nature. very calm. Good for families with small children or somebody searching silent place for relax.
Review 38:We booked very last mnute (3 days before) so food (breakfast) was not available - assume limited space/capacity. One to watch - there are limited restaurants in Salvagny, Sixt and Samoens - don't go on spec as they all seemed to be fully booked (even though one of them was almost empty) - perhaps my family looked undesirable.
Review 39:Quiet position, scenic, reasonable cost, good views, lift to all floors, quiet rooms, reasonably spacious for skiing accommodation
Review 40:The doors and walls are very thin. The sauna and the jacuzzi are not included and you have to pay extra, plus they are in an other building, not in the same house. there is no possibility to eat breakfast or else in the house, but there is a fridge in the room, so you can bring your own stuff.
Review 41:it was cheap and convenient, Monsieur is very nice and he helps people where he can.
Review 42:Wonderful quiet and relaxing location in a mountain valley amidst waterfalls with abundance of hiking trails and in neighboorhood of a beautiful village; accommodating and friendly staff, good value (including outdoor swimmingpool and hot tub) for money.
Review 43:The lay out of the room is bad, one can not open the cupboard, withouttouching the bed. The breakfast is poor for the price, the dinnerbarely acceptable. Very poor service in the afternoon after skiing,There is no bus service to and from the ski area in Samöens for 2.5hours from 14:00 to 16:20 so no early return is possible, except with ataxi which costs €16.-
Review 44:The view from the room, incl. The balcony. For children to learn how toski the place is well located.
Review 45:There seemed no focus to the hotel, it was too quiet. The bar in thecellar did not open the entire time we were there and the fire was onlylit on a couple of occasions.
Review 46:The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The evening meals weregenerally very good, the new year meal was excellent.
Review 47:Lounge area looking a bit tired
Review 48:Friendly staff and tidy rooms - ours with a great view. Accommodatesdogs too. Breakfast - substantial and good for a family stay. Imagine itwould be great in the summer months too.
Review 49:Poor facilities (microwave and fridge only and minimal cooking utensils)
Review 50:Location right on the nursery slopes. Fantastic views.
Review 51:Need to have a car to get around, small room, slow wi-fi
Review 52:Cheap accomodation, easy acces to gondolas, bakery and grocery near by
Review 53:Location
Review 54:Very Cheap
Review 55:The interior design with wooden stairs; the location; the staff
Review 56:The view was outstanding
Review 57:The owner was very helpful, we were late arriving owing to a cancelled flight and he made arrangements to meet us.
Review 58:The room was quite small The shower had no wall attachment
Review 59:It was clean The bed was comfortable
Review 60:Excellent location, friendly staff, fantastic view from rooms
Review 61:Food a little expensive
Review 62:Very warm comfortable hotel very helpfull staff a litle dated butgreat value
