Reviews for La Maison d'Aix
Review 1:Absolutely beautiful hotel with lovely amenities and location is excellent. The best part was Audrey, the hotel director, who took such good care of us. She arranged reservations, made suggestions and generally went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience.
Review 2:Street parking is nearly impossible.
Review 3:Staff is very warm and helpful. The room is clean and roomy. Breakfast was excellent. Location is very convenient.
Review 4:Not sure what the problem was with our booking however it was cancelled during the week and then reopened by the hotel. There was a problem with plumbing wehnnwe arrived as water ran out onto the street and the spa was closed meaning that we didn't get to either enjoy or utilise it. We did however receive a continental breakfast without payment which was I think meant to counter the plumbing issues although this eas nt made totally clear.
Review 5:Friendly demeanour of staff
Review 6:Some Dvd films that could be available A blue tooth music speaker in the rooms would be good
Review 7:Beautifully considered property Our host was delightful Position perfect Very familiar and personal No hesitation in staying again or recommending it to orhers A Gem!
Review 8:No one was there when we tried to check in and the phone was not answered. However, that pales in comparison to everything we experienced later on and how wonderful the hotel is, so overall no complaints at all.
Review 9:The manager, Viktor, knows all the best restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was fit for kings. There are 2 living rooms to relax in and our room had a wonderful view over the garden. Decor was impeccable and gorgeous, yet practical and minimalist. Location could not have been better
Review 10:I wish there had been better instructions on how to get to the property. We drove, and Aix Centre is a medieval maze. Driving there wasn't the most fun we've ever had.
Review 11:Beautiful and friendly. It's really a BnB, but a very luxurious one.
Review 12:No garden or outside space , although must be difficult as in a very central position in the centre of town.
Review 13:The staff were so helpful , couldn't do enough to help us - even parked our car.
Review 14:We were met by Audrey, the woman that manages the hotel, and she took care of everything graciously. She made reservations, made shopping recommendations and even helped with our luggage. She was fantastic!
Review 15:The setting in an almost secret little street, cosetted amongst buildings of golden masonry which seeps history from Ancient Gaul, the Roman empire, the Templars and the niceties of French nobility and bourgeoisie, to contemporary Provence, is well balanced and not overpowering as to be clichéd. The staff seem genuinely keen to provide one with the best experience they are able to facilitate.
Review 16:The elegant experience of this boutique establishment - from the beautifully appointed rooms to the exceptional staff - is unsurpassed. No detail in our room was missed, from the bathroom fixtures, to the luxurious bed linens, to the dupioni silk window coverings. The concierges were so thoughtful and highly professional. Never a problem to give directions, help with parking, suitcases, restaurant selections and tourist information. We were served a lovely breakfast each morning, artistically displayed and delicious! Gorgeous coffees, teas and treats were provided at all hours, as the property had more of a feeling of a high-end residence than a hotel.
Review 17:It was a bit hard to find, as the narrow one way system in central Aix is not easy to navigate even with GPS.
Review 18:We were hosted by the lovely Audrey, who had only been working there for one month or so. She was charming, friendly and very helpful with restaurant suggestions and bookings as well as with advice on what to see in Aix. Breakfasts were nice round a communal table and the 'communal honesty bar' was also a nice idea.
Review 19:Slightly dubious recommendations for restaurants. Guests would expect a bit more upmarket choices.
Review 20:Great staff Great location in a beautiful city with fantastic shopping and bars/restaurants Rooms were spacious and breakfast was fab. Felt like you were in your own house. Except nicer!
Review 21:Nothing was too much trouble for the managers.
Review 22:Being welcomed as valued guests where nothing was too much trouble.
Review 23:Great place - very good service, good location, great rooms in the heart of Aix-en-Provence
Review 24:A lot of money for a small studio. No luxury feel to it.

Review 38:Tastefully decorated, very clean and well maintained, a feeling of intimate luxury. Extremely welcoming and competent staff, Victor made our stay carefree and highly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again.
Review 39:Victor and Carrine were amazing! We stayed during the train strike in France and Victor called to let me know which train to take from Paris, so we could get to Aix. He made excellent suggestions about sights and dining. Carrine helped with the trains when we left, as the strike continued! Also, breakfasts and snacks were always fresh and tasty!
Review 40:Could be a little more light near the bed are. That's all!
Review 41:The friendly staff who go the extra mile to help you. The relaxing and luxury accommodation in a great location- quiet but very close to the main attractions.
Review 42:Although the breakfast was lovely as we stayed 3 nights would have liked a bit of a choice instead of pastries each morning. There was fruit and cheese as well so it was still very nice Also we are very fit people so staying on third floor ok but but for someone not so fit could be an issue.
Review 43:We loved the uniqueness It is more like staying in a lovely house than a hotel. It is in a great spot and beautifully decorated and we would definitely stay again next time we r in aix en Provence
Review 44:La Maison d'Aix is an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. Alexandrine and Rys (sp?) could not be friendlier and more helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel's design is beautiful and comfortable. We had a wonderful terrace balcony overlooking the garden in the back. It was an easy walk to anywhere we wanted to go in the historic parts of the city.
Review 45:Just perfect! Room was very spacious, wonderfully furnishes and spotlessly clean. The two ladies in the hotel were very nice and helpful. Had a wonderful stay!
Review 46:Beautifully furnished Excellent personalised service Highest quality linen and toiletries Complimentary use of coffee machine and complimentary water, fruit etc
Review 47:We received a very frosty reception from young lady because we arrived mid afternoon, when she expected us around 2pm. In our room, safe did not work, (until fixed) IPad out of charge, Television impossible to use without staff resetting every day. first evening, room not cleaned etc. whilst we were out to dinner. We booked and had confirmation of de luxe room with ensuite bathroom. This turned out to be a shower!!! The young lady (Rym) insisted we were in the wrong. The following morning, (probably after intervention of owner) she offered us the first night free, and would move us to another hotel if we wished. We decided to stay, with no complaints after that.
Review 48:The hotel owner was sympathetic to our complaints and offered one free night accommodation. Room was pleasant and quiet.
Review 49:The hotel is very nice and well located, near Cours Mirabeau. Staff (MrsAlexandrine) is very friendly and give good tips about restaurants. Theroom is clean and elegant.
