Reviews for Hotel Saint Germain

Review 1:While check-in was stated to be at 4pm, there was no staff at the hotel before that time and the lobby area was locked. I arrived a little early, as did other guests. No way to use the facilities after a long drive. Everyone just waited outside. While the staff was cordial, the hotel should review its staffing patterns and not close up for the afternoon. The hotel is in a residential (school) area - a very healthy walk from the old section of town.

Review 2:The room as large.

Review 3:Unpredictable closure of facilities, e.g. bar; restricted access to swimming pool, e.g.not before 10.00 am; bedrooms small and rather sparsely furnished

Review 4:Secure parking

Review 5:The hotel is easily located but is about 10 mins walk to town centre.there is plenty of parking space but access to bedrooms are not easily accessible as they are mainly up a winding outdoor staircase .evening meal was good and not very expensive. I only really came across one member of staff who seemed to be doing all the work including booking people in,serving dinner and being there in morning for breakfast making sure tables were clear and clean

Review 6:Access was very limited for a Saturday afternoon and the external fire escape was the way from the carpark into our room

Review 7:Service at dinner and quality of the food was very good

Review 8:Room was never cleaned, bed was re-made and toilet squared away, but not cleaned.

Review 9:The free Wifi was great, and the hotel was calm and relaxed. Lots of parking and a short stroll to the village once you worked out what way to go!!!

Review 10:I don't think I've ever been to a hotel which advertises with a huge banner that the reception is not open until 5 p.m. (in French only, of course) If you arrive before that hour, you can push a button next to the car park gate and be connected with the owner, who will tell you the code to open the gate. The door to the upstairs rooms will be open and you are told the number of your room (door to room unlocked, key on bed.) As Dolly Madison, the wife of the US president so long ago, asked, "When do they labor?"

Review 11:Relatively short walk to the old town and not a far walk to a large supermarket. Nice pool with not enough chairs.

Review 12:Surprised that the resteraunt / bar area was closed at the weekend.

Review 13:The quality of the room was great. Breakfast was spot on. Pool area was lovely, thought teh pool was going to be smaller

Review 14:Hotel reception closed on arrival as it was also during some of our stay.Unable to get any service or drink on the Sunday as NO staff in hotel. would not recommend anybody to go and stay there.

Review 15:Lack of taxis!! But hotel sorted out private hires for us So greatful for there help

Review 16:Hotel and staff we fabulous Nothing was too much trouble would definetly go back for a longer stay As was only there 3 nights

Review 17:Reception not open on arrival at 1630 hrs Saturday.Nobody on duty after 1000 on sunday.Could not get a beer or a cup of coffee. Just nobody around and the hotel was full of reserved clientele.

Review 18:With a baby in tow, we were offered a room with constant noise from kitchen appliances until 10pm! Due to a previous night's party in the restaurant, which wasn't cleaned up for the morning, we were forced to have a measly breakfast in strip lighted, dingy surroundings, with no windows. Felt like a prison canteen. Won't be going back.

Review 19:Wi Fi access was a total disaster. Though this was the problem of the service provider Orange

Review 20:Service excellent and restaurent very good with nice food at a reasonable Price

Review 21:The stairway was locked at night at one end of the hotel. In the event of fire there could be major problems..the fire alarm did go off after midnight on one occasion and evacuation was made, but it was a false alarm, happily. But no one was on hand to supervise evacuation - in fact there was a very noisy wedding reception going on until About 3.30 am and the alarm was apparently in audible in the lower part of the hotel where the wedding guests were enjoying themselves. The hotel clients were subjected to much noise, lack of access to any of the hotel facilities and being told well in advance that only the evening meal was unavailable to us on that night - which was not the case. The hotel was virtually closed to hotel guests - with parking not permitted and the swimming pool locked in the following morning. There was no one on duty for most of the day after breakfast...until the evening...or so it appeared. The toiletaries were not often replenished.

Review 22:The proximity to the town. The swimming pool. The breakfasts were generally good if rather unvaried. The staff were very friendly at breakfast. The manager of the hotel was very understanding when some of our grievances where aired late at night. We appreciated his gesture of a reduction in the charges and the bottle of champagne !

Review 23:owner was very unfriendly: refused to let people in before check in time, even if he was at home. Never said hello or anything when crossing him: not a word! No permanence at the reception, swimming pool extremely poverish and only open from 1PM to 8PM!! Very ugly hotel also, rooms were very very small and walls very thin: much noise coming from outside AND inside hotel. Other guests we spoke were not pleased either! Very bad price-quality!!

Review 24:It had a swimming pool, Pezenas was a nice village

Review 25:Friendly, welcoming and helpful reception. Excellent restaurant, the fish was superb. If you want a swim there's a delightful little pool. The room was quiet, with fresh clean white linen. English is also spoken should you need. Highly recommended.

Review 26:Glorified big house with no staff on site ever!

Review 27:Close enough to town

Review 28:Easy walk into pezenas location in a quiet street hotel with pool

Review 29:Fantastic food... Lovely staff ... Accomodation to a high standard .... Only a ten minute walk into Pezenas.

Review 30:Closed when we arrived. Later we got a key and a code for the carport.

Review 31:Breakfast

Review 32:Staff not on site 24/7.

Review 33:Excellent evening meal. Friendly staff. Near to town centre. Nice room.

Review 34:quite difficult to find because of one way streets bit of a long walk to town

Review 35:it was clean and friendly staff. Nice food

Review 36:Very late check in.

Review 37:Close to the old town, easy to find. Breakfasts were very reasonably priced and had a nice variety.

Review 38:A mini fridge in the room would've been a great help as it was very warm.

Review 39:Lovely pool, comfortably sunbeds. Air conditioning very good and quiet

Review 40:Main bedroom door to terrace didn't lock so had to drop the shutter for security when leaving room.

Review 41:Good room. Good staff. Good breakfast. Good deal on room price. Ten min walk to old town. Old town is beautiful and a must to visit. Lots of good restaurants to choose from.
