Reviews for Les Galeries de Beaulac
Review 1:Beautiful property, part of an old convent, only a few minutes walk away from the old town with its historic buildings, museums, shops and restaurants. Our room on the ground floor was comfortable and had a small sitting room opening through a glass door directly on to the lovely walled gardens. Nadia is a avery welcoming host, keeps her property spotless and her attention to details made our stay truly pleasant.
Review 2:Btr Directions / no credit cards
Review 3:Perfect French country town - a real hidden gem .When you drive up to the Hotel ur heart sinks but inside the walls it's like a garden of Eden , little Chateau w Loft rooms - wonderful breakfast . Very welcoming owner . One of the happiest persons I hve ever met .Who can blame her living there . L
Review 4:Nadia was so helpful and welcoming. I loved the privacy of the garden and the rooms. Such a tranquil and stunning place. Flowers were in the room (which is actually a mini suite) and the private terrace overlooking the beautiful garden was a delightful extra! A delicious breakfast was served in the garden. It is a lovingly converted monastery within a walled garden; so close to the town centre and yet a million miles away in peace and tranquility.
Review 5:Wow, what a beautiful oasis on our travels. The rooms are mini suites in a converted monestary. The courtyard is private and lovely with a pool and outdoor areas to relax. Nadia made us very welcome and catered a marvelous breakfast. It was perfect!
Review 6:There was nothing not to like..... Shame we couldn't stay longer
Review 7:Everything!! The location of the hotel very near to the town centre. The friendly welcome. The beautiful room with terrace to sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. The grounds with small swimming pool - unfortunately we arrived too late to take full advantage of this. The plentiful breakfast sitting on the terrace in the sun. Would stay here again without hesitation. Simply stunning
Review 8:Signage absent, difficult to find as main entrance is in a very narrow back lane. Somewhat awkward parking, private available.
Review 9:Friendly and helpful people, the room we had booked was too claustrophobic for us and they let us change no problem into a large & comfortable suite, more expensive but good value. Quiet even though in town centre.
Review 10:Only the squeaky staircase, but this would detract us from visiting again X
Review 11:The property was a stunning building, and nadia the owner was so pleasant and helpful X
Review 12:We were looking for accommodation within easy walking distance of Pezenas Old Town. Les Galeries fitted the bill perfectly, being within 10 minutes stroll of the centre, but moreover it is hidden away in a quiet and tranquil setting that defies its proximity to the town. A beautiful swimming pool and gardens, well appointed room and to top it off a first class breakfast. Can't wait to return!
Review 13:On a month long roaming vacation in France, this was one of our better finds. The location was excellent although hidden in an alleyway. We would probanly still be searching had it not been for our GPS . The staff was excellent, breakfast as well.
Review 14:The arrival process is not easy - the entrance to the property is down a tiny, very narrow street in the centre of the town (I was unable to access this as I had a large hire car that I didn't want to scrape!). Had to park quite a way from the house with my elderly mother, and walk back. After ringing on the doorbell for quite a while we were admitted, and I then had to park the car in a hired parking lot down another narrow lane. You have to pay for the parking.....The outsides of the buildings are very attractive, but the interiors are quite vulgar - huge televisions, fake "bar", cheap scented candles, fake laminate flooring and hideous paintings. As the building was originally a convent, the interiors could have reflected something of the history of the building and been more tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and styled.
Review 15:Lovely garden and pool, though the pool is difficult to access if you are a mature traveller - steep steps and no hand rail. The rooms (suite) we had were large and spacious. Bathroom very good. Breakfast excellent.
Review 16:The bathroom was downstairs and the lighting poor. Being an older couple we had to get up in the night to use the bathroom and the stairs were very noisy and a bit frightening so we woke each other up when going downstairs.
Review 17:The staff were extremely helpful. It was a Sunday night and the lady who greeted us rang around various restaurants to find out which were open. A free beer on arrival was very welcome. The room smelt lovely.
Review 18:Nadia was a lovely host and very accommodating and helpful. Our room was beautiful and exactly like the photos online. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and plan to go back.
Review 19:Good location to bars and restaurants. Owner could not be more helpful. We stayed in duplex room which had character. Renovation had been well thought out.
Review 20:We arrived a little before check in at 15.00 but could get no response to the door buzzer. We had to eventually call the residence and then a woman came out immediately (I found it odd unless the buzzer didn't work) Please be aware that this Chambre D'Hote does not accept credit or debit card as payment - a minor inconvenience if, like us, you only stay one night we had €95 to hand, but a major problem if you have a longer stay as the cash machine limit is usually around €400 per day
Review 21:Location - perfect on the edge of the historic centre The rooms are fairly well appointed and clean. We stayed in a tower maisonette - the bedroom above a small living room and shower room/wc. Tea and coffee facilities were provided and aircon on the lower floor
Review 22:Very hard to find . The hotel lettering was on a quiet alley with hotel lettering only approx.1-1/2 square. To find in the dark would be almost impossable.
Review 23:a really beautiful courtyard , very peaceful and private. only a short walk to the historical part of town.
Review 24:I would warn anyone with a problem with steep stairs to request one of two ground floor rooms. Also it is a B&B and does not take credit cards. These are by no means things I did not like- just to help potential visitors in planning.
Review 25:Our stay was wonderful, from the room to a terrific breakfast in the well appointed dining room with the scent of orange blossoms in the garden filling the air. The room was on the seond floor with a sitting room below and loft bedroom above-incredible.
Review 26:No complaints whatsoever, although potential clients should be aware that the stairs in the tower bedroom I was in were quite steep. Perhaps not for the fainthearted.
Review 27:Hospitable, charming people, excellent breakfasts. Spic and span accommodation. Would recommend to others.
Review 28:Although I was helped with the wi-fi I needed a little more power!!
Review 29:The friendly owners, the clean and comfortable room and the extra special commitment to breakfast!
Review 30:Nothing not to like!
Review 31:The proprietor was enormously helpful - even drove us to the airport on a Sunday morning. The whole environment of the place is amazing. The accommodation is roomy. The pool was small but perfect. And the breakfasts were superb!
Review 32:Door bell was out of order and one couple had a cell which didn't operate in France and the other couple had a cell for which the roaming plan had just ended so it cost money to get through just to get the entrance door opened. There would have been no way to get entry without using a phone.
Review 33:Wonderful location and garden hidden away. Very easy access to old city centre.
Review 34:Nothing.
Review 35:The duplex apartment in the tower was tastefully decorated with every convenience catered for. The shower was excellent and spotlessly clean. The bedroom had a lovely vaulted ceiling and was very peaceful to sleep in. The breakfast was different every morning and deliciously fresh and wholesome. The hostess was very friendly and gave good local information. She made us lovely crepes one afternoon by the pool. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Nothing was too much trouble. The gardens and pool area were like an oasis of calm. We cannot recommend this highly enough.
Review 36:Access to the road (more an alleyway) was difficult - it required a trip around the block and then a left-hand turn - i.e. the entrance was not wide enough for entry from a right-hand turn. Driving down the alleyway it was a case of "pray that nothing comes the other way" as this would require one to back up onto a busy street. Parking was available on a public site 10 mins away, the private parking was also "off-site" - 5mins away at the end of the said alley.
Review 37:Puittin aside the difficult access (subsequent entry through a side door in a high wall) it was an immense surprise to find a tranquil garden with a swiming pool - something to enjoy on a hot sunny day. The gallery rooms lead off of the garden. They are well equiped - in fact nothing lacking. The breakfast was very good with freshly prepared fruit.
Review 38:We had 3 nights in Les Galeries de Beaulac whilst honeymooning in the South of France and it was a perfect place to stay to explore the Languedoc region. The hotel is a hidden gem in Pezenas and you’d never know it was there, it’s almost like a secret haven in a very quiet street. The outside pool area is really lovely and the room was decorated nicely, we had one of the turrets which was great fun! The lady who owns Les Galeries was so helpful and friendly from when we arrived and made us feel very welcome, also the breakfast was the nicest we had during our whole stay! The location is great, it’s a 2min walk to the old town which is very charming and we would definitely visit again. Parking is easy so I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area! Thanks for a great stay!
Review 39:Wonderful welcome, fantastic garden, great room, we had two nights stay and the breakfasts were brilliant-different each day. My wife and I would and already have recommended this establish ment to all our friends. It is only a short walk into Pezenas which is very interresting and has lots of great places to eat. We are very much looking forward to our next stay stay.

Review 42:The wather for September was very hot, 32C. Tower bedrooms need A/C.
Review 43:The Tower dupex with it's own veranda was superb. Great host provided a bottle of wine and snacks before excellent dinner at restaurent Amphitryon close by

Review 57:Just about the nicest bed and breakfast establishment that we have stayed in- anywhere in the world, and that is not exaggeration! !
Review 58:Nothing
Review 59:Situation, warm and friendly staff.
Review 60:The lady at the hotel was an absolute star and made our stay very special.
Review 61:A short stroll to the old town. Quiet & private. Free parking at a nearby location. Great breakfasts in the garden.
Review 62:The peace and quietness off the place.there was nothing to find fault with.
Review 63:stylish , lovely pool, free glass of wine by pool !
Review 64:Just a little hard to find.
Review 65:Just a lovely place. Relaxing no stress. Great pool.
Review 66:Wifi didnt work in the bedroom. Aircon loud and didn't work in bedroom. Small windows high up so no view. It felt like a cell.
Review 67:Lovely fresh fruit and pastries for breakfast.
Review 68:The owners were so lovely and the BandB is just lovely. Our daughter loved the pool and we loved well really everything. The breakfast was really nice with a large fruit salad, yogurt, bread, croissants, pain chocolat, delicious jams, coffee, fresh juice. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 69:Wi-Fi speed and accessibility was very poor
Review 70:Excellent location; close to bars, restaurants and shops of Pezenas. Breakfast service was lovely with fresh produce and bread/croissants
Review 71:Split level rooms with very difficult access to the bedroom via steep stairs. The bathroom and toilet were on the lower area, along with a small (and very uncomfortable) sofa. No off road parking, nearest public carpark 100m.
Review 72:Location excellent, with just a short stroll to the old town of Pezenas. The rooms were very clean. There was a large terrace for sunbathing. The gardens and Pool were attractive and enclosed in a 'walled garden'
Review 73:Wifi never did connect. Attitude of Proprietress First room was noisy at night ( "Dorine") with a compressor or motor running next door?
Review 74:The location in the centre of Pezenas.
Review 75:A bit difficult to find, in a small side street. It's a good idea to book private parking at hotel.
Review 76:Ambiance, peaceful and tranquil walled garden. Comfortable room, tastefully renovated. Beautiful location, close to centre, 2 mins walk.
Review 77:Nil.
Review 78:Lovely 16thc. building with subtle modern touches. Generous and varied breakfast. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere and in the heart of a busy town.
Review 79:Everything was perfect. Wonderful estate right in the city center with a large room, almost a suite. Very nice hosts and great breakfast... and a fantastic pool...
Review 80:This is a delightful sanctuary, a beautifully restored ex-convent close to the centre of town. Very helpful staff and lovely rooms (just 4 of them). Pezenas is a very picturesque old town, well worth a leisurely stroll around. Highly recommended.
Review 81:Its located in a very narrow lane, just off the main street but very difficult to find. There is no parking at the premises but there is free parking 100 yards away.
Review 82:Lovely place to stay with beautiful gardens, pool and hot tub. We had a comfortable, clean and spacious room. The breakfast was delicious and you could not have more friendly and helpful hosts. Its also very good value for money.
Review 83:Nothing not to like.
Review 84:The hotel has been restored with love and care ... A personal touch with a secluded pool. We loved our 3 nights , the host, the flowers, the breakfast, the rooms, the garden, the pool. Only a short stroll into the old city.
Review 85:Hard to find and park but no real hassle After that no problems
Review 86:Private setting with lovely area to swim and relax in Helpful staff good food A wee oasis
Review 87:The location may be good for shopping, but it is an adventure to arrive by car and find the hotel in a street just wide enough for one car and a small door in a long wall with a little sign of the hotel name. While unloading other cars had to wait. Parking about 700 ft.away.
Review 88:The setup of the hotel. The inside of this former convent is beautiful.
Review 89:Could do with a long mirror - the only one is in the bathroom which is very compact!
Review 90:Beautiful house and garden - haven of tranquillity in the middle of town. Breakfast was excellent - the fruit salad the best we've had!! Would stay in the turret rooms next time.
Review 91:Nadia and staff are amazing. Nadia and her husband did a great job restoring this nunnery. They went out of their way to accommodate us. You must stay here!
