Reviews for Odalys Appart Hotel Les Occitanes

Review 1:We asked to replace the bulb of the lamp of the washroom which was off. But it was not be replaced. It was not convenient to use the washroom.

Review 2:Near to the station and the old town. We went to the market and cooked the local food. Very calm and comfortable. Staffs were very hospitables.

Review 3:No service . Dark unfriendly and complex floor structure, a little like living in a car park or the basement of a shopping center. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff

Review 4:Well located , competitively priced and comfortable. Minimalist guest rooms. Good and reasonably fast internet

Review 5:Towels weren't replaced daily, withoud any mention about this issue. They did not accept to give me an invoice for breakfast on behalf of my company, not on my name.

Review 6:Location and comfort

Review 7:Toiletries were only given on arrival but they did supply more when requested!

Review 8:Very central beside train station and tram lines. Five minute walk to Place de la Comedie. When I asked if there was an Internet cafe nearby with printers they immediately offered to print whatever I needed.

Review 9:Staff not so friendly, not a good entrance at the desk for check in/out. Really impossible to park differently from Laissac parking (around 20eur/day). The city addresses and traffic are a non-sense (full on "one ways", traffic lights, etc: your navigator will get crazy!)

Review 10:Renovated building, nice comfort, spacious rooms, smart and effective forniture

Review 11:Cold room because no heating, and no extra heaters. extra blankets promised but never arrived. Difficult to access by road, bearest public parking 24 euros for 24 hours.

Review 12:Concrete floors in the first floor hallway created too much noise. Cleaning staff working outside until after 9 pm. Clean towels only after 4 days.

Review 13:Location was fabulous. Room was large with a wonderful bathroom. The kitchen was a pleasant and useful surprise.

Review 14:The AC didn't work and it was freezing in the room. The stream in the shower is very light. No parking so you have to pay for a parking in the train station.

Review 15:Great location. The hotel is brand new so everything is clean and well decorated.

Review 16:Spa broken, Elevator broken (due to heavy rains)

Review 17:Kitchinette on a smal living room. Huge WC Amenities! Amazing location, right outside Gare de Montpellier Saint-Roch

Review 18:This does not behave like a hotel. We left our towels on the floor - that's hotel language for please change them! - they were there when we returned in the evening. A call to reception informed us that they were only changed every four days. Also, tho the block with our room had an elevator, another elevator in the old part of the building was out of commission, so that breakfast involved a climb up a grand staircase (I'm 77 and not very good at climbing!).

Review 19:The building was mostly a converted grand building. There was a courtyard in the middle for sitting out. It was bang in the middle of Montpellier and next to the station.

Review 20:No car access or parking at this hotel. Elevator was broken for 2 days so had to carry bags via stairs to the 3rd floor. Area outsize sketchy at night.

Review 21:Very close to train station. Fair size room with separate kitchen. Fair pricing.

Review 22:Breakfast buffet (better to have breakfast in one of the cafes nearby)

Review 23:Great location, close both to the main station and city centre, friendly and English speaking staff

Review 24:Extremely disappointed the gym and pool were out of order without warning! I booked this hotel as needed a gym! However still great hotel

Review 25:The location is fantastic as so close to the centre and tram outside hotel takes you anywhere

Review 26:They dont change towels every day No bath accessories each day (shampoo etc.) Internet disconnects every time Shower Holder was not there , after compliant they installed next day one. No coffee tea or water in room Swimming pool and sauna is under repair, no one knows that earlier. dark rooms High price for the facilities you get I don't suggest this at all.

Review 27:Location

Review 28:Spa facilities were not working during my stay even though these had been included in the initial booking.

Review 29:Staff were very helpful and location is perfect - tram right outside the front door

Review 30:difficult access with the car - GPS useless (no access to the main entrance with car; back entrance - you have to enter a taxi stand driving against the rules - no other solution); noise in rooms from the station/parking side - loud taxi stand, very noisy heavy bulldozers working outside (temporary, le's hope for the others), some noise from the train station. No own parking place; parking at Gare St. Roch - very expensive, Parking Laissac - good rates, also for longer stays like 10 days

Review 31:flexibility of staff, relaxation area (sauna, pool, fitness), calm balcony with room 501, accesibility of the (old) town, train station, shops, ATM, parking places, nice patio with WiFi

Review 32:Cleanliness of room not great - dusty and toilet seat not fixed to pan. Poor housekeeping in a new hotel.

Review 33:Excellent location and attractive building. Helpful staff

Review 34:i chose this hotel mostly because of the fitness centre and the pool, all of which were closed due to flood. this was highly disappointing. if i knew about this - i would have stayed in a different place. breakfast was very limited.

Review 35:great location. friendly staff. nice room

Review 36:Easy to reach by bus and tram from the airport. Very close to the old part of the city. Good facilities in the room, which was quite spacious. Food shopping close by for self catering.

Review 37:Superb location next to St Roch railway station and tram stop High quality furniture and fittings Fridge Microwave and Hotplate Perfect and far better than regular hotel

Review 38:only one staff at the reception when we wanted to check in in the evening - so there was a long waiting time.

Review 39:modern, stylish appartment. perfect location for a city trip - close to the station.

Review 40:there was a lot of noise outside the hotel each night and into the wee hours. even though we were on the 5th floor, it still woke us several times each night during our stay.

Review 41:staff was fantastically helpful, made us feel at home and helped us get the most out of a short visit to the city

Review 42:The hotel has no approach by car, so if driving head directly for the Train Station parking - hotel is just across the street from it.

Review 43:Great location in the center, friendly staff, very nice hotel with comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price.

Review 44:We we're pleasantly surprised by the hotel and would highly recommend it! The location is great for getting around Montpellier with the tram and train stations just outside and a short walk to the charming and lovely old part of Montpellier. You wouldn't want to hang out outside the hotel as there are a few rough characters, but as soon as you go inside or get to Place de la Comédie which is a quick 5 minute walk, all is fine.

Review 45:My only niggles are really small. These are the only apartments I have stated in that didn't supply any cleaning products, not even washing-up liquid, yet there was hand soap for the bathroom. There is also a construction site next door which works from 9 pm to 5 am to avoid the heat. Ask for a room in A block as B block gets the noise. This is of course only a temporary issue.

Review 46:Well maintained, clean apartments. Really convenient location. Good value for money.

Review 47:Bad lighting in corridors felt unsafe. Tiny pool. Should be advertised as junior or children's pool. Cleaning room only once in 7 days. Would help to have explanation to non French people on how to work microwave and dishwasher.

Review 48:Location next to station . Clean. Comfortable beds.

Review 49:impossible to reach by car - not properly tracked on GPS / google map and no car park. I have to circle around for 60 minutes in the middle of the night to find it ( and the area during the night is populated by prostitutes and drunk people, so not very nice )

Review 50:nice room and good value for money

Review 51:Currently most of the roads around the hotel have been redesignated one-way or closed making it almost impossible to drive to,even with sat av.

Review 52:A wonderful old building which has been tastefully adapted as a hotel, staff v. helpful and friendly, speak good English.

Review 53:we were put in a dreary room at the back of the hotel overlooking a building site. There was no balcony. However the frontage of the hotel was lovely with big windows and balconies.

Review 54:good location

Review 55:Could not check in early - not particularly friendly reception staff. 'Spa' is a bit disappointing

Review 56:Location, 100 metres from Montpellier station and yet quiet in back behind courtyard. Clean and comfortable room. Useful kitchenette. Good value.

Review 57:The balcony with shattered glass bottle left by previous guests; People can walk from room to room through balcony made me felt unsafe; Short of staff at about 2:30pm, I need to wait for 15mins to get my stored luggages

Review 58:Difficult to find with sat nav, a lot of one way streets which it tried to take the wrong way! Air Con didn't work.

Review 59:Central location although arrived late and left early so didn't get a chance to appreciate it.

Review 60:the room i have is non smoking, but it smells of smoke. Approximately 37% of French adults smoke. I don't think there is a financial consequence for them smoking in a non-smolkng designated room. Thus, the smell.

Review 61:the location and staff. The room is clean and orderly.

Review 62:All perfect

Review 63:Central location, smart, clean, bright, well equipped, right opposite central station, which incidentally is a great place to shop and relax, and right by all the tram stops.

Review 64:The only complaint I have, but it is a very big deal to me, is that we got no clean towels or sheets the ENTIRE stay. I was aware that they only change them every 4 days, but after 4 days, they were not changed, and when I asked for clean towels , they never came. We were checking out on the 5th day, so I never got clean towels. Four days of the same towels when it's hot and muggy got gross. The "kitchen" was poorly equipped.

Review 65:Excellent air conditioning. Nice staff. Comfortable bed.

Review 66:We requested twin beds (I was staying with my 14 year old son) and a quiet room at least twice before we arrived. No notice was taken of those requests. When we arrived they managed to find us a room with twin bebs but it was pretty noisy.

Review 67:A nice courtyard and good steam room.

Review 68:The air conditioning is set at 26c, which is makes the room just comfortable but not cool.

Review 69:Hotel is in from of the train station, the building is new, nicely decorated, extremely clean, linen, towels and bed were the very best.

Review 70:If the breakfast would be suitable for low-carb diet (because of diabetes) would have tried it (variety of cheese, ham/sausage, vegetables, fruits/ berries, yogurt, eggs etc.

Review 71:Unable to get at the hotel with a car to download the luggage. The elevator didn't work and we had to take our luggage 4 floors up and down with no help from the hotel stuff. We parked the car at a public parking recommended by the hotel. The parking was 500 meters from the hotel and for one night it cost us 30 euro

Review 72:The room, breakfast and hottub

Review 73:The swimming pool of the spa was blocked by a family of three children. Maybe the staff should make clear it is a spa-swimming pool.

Review 74:Very clean. Close to the station and the city center. The tramway, going to the beaches, just in front of the hotel's door. Spa for free. Very well equipped kitchen. Quiet. Definitely a great hotel!!

Review 75:Actually finding the front door was tricky, there were no signs. // Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning and because it was warm outside we opened the windows. ..and let the hungry mosquitos in to feast upon us.

Review 76:Location was amazing. Just steps from the tram stop, and a block from the train station, so we could go anywhere on the easy to use tram. The hotel's breakfast was fine, what we liked was their coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine.

Review 77:the lift was broken so we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor - the receptionist was sorry about that but did not offer any help. On top of that, she forgot to activate our key cards so back and forth the stairs it was again in a terrible heat.... not a nice welcome at all. It seemed like the reception had some growing pains: when people lft and said "au revoir" there was no reply....

Review 78:Breakfast was gorgeous and location perfect

Review 79:Very central to Montpelier--right opposite station and by tram stops. Took a tram ride to the sea for only 1 euro 50! Lovely apartment. Lovely staff.

Review 80:I was surprised not to find any complimentary tea or coffee sachets and the wifi was a little temperamental.

Review 81:The location was fabulous, it's directly opposite the station and a pretty park. It was incredibly clean and the bathroom was a generous size.

Review 82:two hours looking for hotel and finally when found at 2 am , i left my wife and baby sleeping to take room, while I go to find a parking, when i came back half hour later my wife standing on reception with baby in arms because receptionist dont want give her room until I come and pre pay room, very bad. Also no help to find parking then prepare 35 euros more a day for parking

Review 83:modern and clean

Review 84:We stayed as a couple but the beds were two singles so perhaps I had inadvertently booked a twin room (don't recall doing that), consequently the beds drifted apart throughout the night. Would also have preferred a more professional reception area. Wi-fi was a bit rubbish.

Review 85:Beautiful building, very clean and excellent location for the town and rail services. Nice little pool and gym. Very good air con in the room.

Review 86:We stay in this hotel for 7 nights but hotel never swap the towel in theroom. The manager's rule is only swap one time at 4th day if youstay more than 7 days. But even we've ask for new dry towel and theyjust give us 1 pcs of towel as favor. Room cleaning is done very poor. Most of time just one employee at reception to help entire hotel'sguest. They deduct the 7 nights room charge at 2 days before we arrivebut never receive the invoice.

Review 87:Good location.

Review 88:No easy street access, receptionist was not helpful at all, no internet service, -and when told about it 5 times the anserwas allways 10 minutes. This is a terrible location unless you are travelling o a train. Hotel was not as presented.

Review 89:Only one small batch towel to last three days. Only one dishwasher tablet provided so not ideal if use the kitchen over more than 1-2 days. No eggs provided for breakfast so we only had breakfast on day 1.

Review 90:Overall good value for money, and a convenient location.

Review 91:We just wanted an overnight stay near to the station as we were moving on next day. We also found it was near the tram system and the main square and facilities which was a plus.

Review 92:Directions were not clear. It took some time before we got to the entrance.

Review 93:Brend new, very comfortable, conveniently located next to the train station. Helpful staff.

Review 94:Slow check in. Lift not working. Had to carry heavy case up 4 flights of stairs no one to help. Only one key card per room.

Review 95:Location clean modern good location

Review 96:Lift didn't work and I was on the second floor with a heavy case. Was unable to connect to wifi for the 3 days. Pass word(s) would not work, though staff helpfully kept trying. Room smelled of smoke from previous guest, butts on balcony...

Review 97:Location,view from balcony, glamorous and spacious room.

Review 98:Took payment off card prior to arrival. Air con was broken in first room and then lift out of order in building we were moved to and room was on 4th floor. Spa was a disappointment, had a tiny 'pool' (more like a large jacuzzi without bubbles, only 1 metre deep); small gym room and sauna that was out of order.

Review 99:Great location right next to the main station for transport. Had a problem with the air con in our room, but they changed us to another room. Nice outdoor courtyard/seating area.

Review 100:Air conditioning was not effective at all as it switched on and off during the night and as a result had very little sleep. We visited in middle of very hot summer week. View from the hotel was of graffitied carpark.

Review 101:Comfortable bed. Nice room. Good kitchen and bathroom. Pool and gym nice addition. Helpful staff.

Review 102:Impractical furniture in room. Little table in hallway, not much good for anything except to block the hallway. No other shelf space, room stark and empty. Needed a small practical shelf or table.

Review 103:Wifi. Excellent air conditioning. Gym equipment

Review 104:Air conditioning wasn't great and there was a lot of noise one of the weekend nights outside the room with taxi rank and bins!

Review 105:Excellent location-very near the train station and a short walk to centre with a tram stop outside your door! Facilities were super-spacious room with a well equipped kitchen. Nice pool in the basement. Def come back!

Review 106:Worst wi-fi I have ever experienced. It was crashed for over 10 hours during my stay, and even when working I had to log-in every few minutes. Signal didn't reach the table in my room - I had to stand in the bathroom or the corridor to get a strong enough signal. Cleaners not very efficient. Most staff were lovely, but one night receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. Rooms at rear have views over a fly-tipping building site.

Review 107:The main building is attractive and historic (although guests actually stay in a modern extension behind it). Very handy for transport - the hotel is opposite the central railway station, and beside the main tram hub. Pool (too small for swimming, but great for a dip). Very good, efficient air conditioning. Pleasant communal courtyard with seating.

Review 108:Nothing at all.

Review 109:Quietness, comfort and cleanliness of these apartments with extra helpful staff made this a haven in the centre of Montpelier. The location is perfect near the Saint Roch mainline station and with tram lines on your doorstep. Lovely jacussi and hamman if you want to relax and hide from the the summer heat outside.

Review 110:We liked the location, near the train station, yet once our key was given to us the very pleasant front desk clerk informed us that we we would have to climb 3 flights of stairs ( 80 steps with our luggage because the elevator had been out of order for over a week. This was extremely disappointing because once we reached the room we were drenched in sweat. There was a strong smell similar to wet dogs in the hallways and room and I am confident it wasn't us. The apartment was clean and had one small television in the living area but not in the bedroom. We explored the city and we found that Montpellier is a charming city with nice people. If you are up for a workout and have air freshener with you this would be the place to book.

Review 111:If you arrive by car and you've not been in the town before it's difficult to approach the place as most of the streets are one direction. Target a parking directly. It'd be nice to have a bell outside of the entrance when you arrive late to ring. The only option was to call the property in order to open the entrance.

Review 112:The room was specious and clean.

Review 113:Bathroom had NOT been cleaned. Open and empty soaptube next to the bath. I told the staff. They told me it would be cleaned after my return in the evening, but it wasn't.

Review 114:Friendly staff, good location

Review 115:Wifi was poor at best. Customer service was average - not overly helpful.

Review 116:The hotel is located right across from the tram and train stations making getting around so easy. Rooms were quite large and comfortable.

Review 117:Would prefer a proper shower to bath with shower in it. The laundry facilities should be better - one machine and one small dryer in basement. I found a great laundry 5 minutes walk away.

Review 118:Very conveniently situated, spacious, spotless and comfortable. On tram line but even nicer to walk the 10 minutes to Place de la Comedie. We had rooms facing away from road and it was completely quiet. Kitchenette is really useful.

Review 119:Lift was out of service and had no schedule of when it will berepaired. We were told it doesn't work in the heat! The smell inthe apartment was musty but cleared with the windows open. The airconditioner however, was terrible. The smell was nauseating and did notdissipate until about 6:00am. The room was very hot and stuffy. Thismade it a challenge for 4 people to sleep. The den had no direct airconditioner vent. It seems to try to cool only directly under it. Thedishwasher didn't really work so I walked down the 67 stairs tofind an alternate way to clean. I was told they would sell me acleaning kit containing a sponge, cloth and some dish soap. Seemsrather odd, thankfully the manager overrode that decision and I wasgiven the sponge only. Silly things like that don't implore me toreturn. The WiFi is okay but you keep having to log on with each use orsometimes between pages.

Review 120:The location of the hotel is wonderful!! Trams are located directlyacross from hotel. Airport is approximately 20-25 minutes away. Pillowsare new and very comfortable. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Review 121:A bit noisy as there are a couple of bars just below the windows.

Review 122:Large room with kitchenette. Excellent continental breakfast for reasonable price. Near the train station, and Central plaza (Place de Comédie) of the city. Nice in-door hot water pool with sauna.

Review 123:Wi-Fi was spotty at times. We had to ask for the Wi-Fi code. Each device you have requires a different code. The "A" building is a noisy at night from street side.

Review 124:Nice suite with small kitchen. It had a nice workout room in the basement with a fabulous steam room and huge hot tub area and changing room area.

Review 125:As it turned out, towels were changed only once in 4 days. Doesn't matter if you left them on the floor in the bathroom, the cleaners would not care and just walk over them but the towels would not be changed. This was the first time ever I encountered such problem. I believe, such policy is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.

Review 126:Great location, close to the railway station.

Review 127:The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've ever experienced but this was because the hotel had put two twin beds together!

Review 128:I really enjoyed staying here and the staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is well situated; the train station is just across the road and the town centre is only a 10 minute walk away. I would (and will) recommend this hotel to anyone going to Montpellier!

Review 129:Room had a strange musty smell which left after opening the windows.

Review 130:Great location, quiet despite its proximity to the tgv and city centre. Full studio kitchen available. Underground jacuzzi and courtyard are fun additions!

Review 131:poorly furnished student bedsit type of rooms. Furniture fairly new but flimsy and badly put together. No furniture in room to relax in. One ill fitting curtain at the window.

Review 132:Interesting development of old building

Review 133:Elevator quite small..if have ppl inside you have to wait a bit far fron elevatoe

Review 134:This hotel just renovated . It nearby trainstation and you can walk amor use tram for looking around city..bedroon is very new and comfort ..value for money

Review 136:The hotel was beautiful, clean and had excellent amenities. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and the Hamman was great. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and included a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. The bathrooms were huge and really nicely done. Overall excellent and I will definitely be looking out for other hotels in this group again.

Review 137:Difficult to find, because signage, either by the city or on the exterior of the building, hadn't been put in place. Also, "back" entrance neither highlighted nor particularly secure. Didn't feel like you were entering a hotel.

Review 138:Brand-new property, tastefully renovated with an attention to noise reduction.

The Fine Print

Due to bad weather in August, the relaxation area is closed until further notice.
