This residence borders the forest, 800 feet from the centre of Grand Bornand and 1,650 feet from the bus station. Guests have free admission to an aquatic centre, which includes a covered, heated balneotherapy pool and a paddling pool, as well as discounts on ski rental.
Each room has a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. The guest rooms are decorated in a Savoyard style, while the mobile homes are contemporary. The chalet is 1,950 feet from the pool.
There is a bar restaurant, next to the property. It is an entirely restored farm barn in Savoyard style offering local specialties where guests can enjoy their meals on the terrace with the views of the surrounding mountains.
L'Escale also has a bar and a games room with free WiFi, a billiard and table tennis tables for guests' enjoyment. It also has a tennis court, children's playground and a library.

Review 1：thought there would be proper breakfast , but not at all . put me and my special needs child in the furthest cabin , took my daughter ages to walk to the swimming pool , and the reception area. good exercise though . perhaps may have moved me , but didn't feel it was worth asking, Felt they were a bit money grabbing .

Review 2：the swimming was lovely . though a bit small. the cabin was clean. but absolutely no extras , so previous reviews about sheets etc , was helpful . Mostly the staff were lovely , one older lady that came to pick us up was a bit scary ? The village is beautiful but very pricy.

Review 3：Tiny room with no frills. We were surprised at the high charge for bed linen and towels and no toilet paper provided.

Review 5：Realizing that this could the policy of hotel, but would be helpful to have some basic amenities in the room (i.e. soap in the bathroom, toilet paper, kitchen towels, washing liquid, etc.) Swimming pool was not working.

Review 6：We stayed only 1 night over weekend, but can admit great personnel working in this hotel. The location is very convenient with own parking space and just several minutes walk to the center. Convenient room with the kitchen (equipped), very clean.

Review 8：We stayed in a double room which over looked the pool and surroundingmountains for 4nights it was 200 Euro. Fantastic price! The room itselfwas basic but the central locality of l Escale and their food in therestaurant made this stay 5 star. We arrived into geneva airport and gota bus direct to Annecy (town) and another bus direct to Le Grand Bornandvillage. It was all very easy to find! L Escale is only a short 5minuteswalk from the bus station with great sign posts directing you! The staffat reception were very welcoming and helped us with organising our skipasses etc as it was our first ski trip. The cable cars are within a15minute walk or there is a bus directly to the slopes from l Escaleevery half hour. We hired ski boots, skies, and poles from the hirecentre at the cable cars and left them in the locker there also! It onlycost us 110 Euro between myself and husband for hire and to store themin the lockers for 3 days. It might be more expensive during peak season(jan-feb). The slopes have plenty of variety for both snow walkers, skibeginners and intermediates and some for the advanced also! The villageitself has plenty of gorgeous restaurants, a pharmacy, supermarkets, andsouvenir boutiques. I have to mention the local patisserie"boulangerie betemps" where we had pain au chocolat andEnglish breakfast tea each morning before hitting the slopes! Perfectstart! I can't recommend this village enough! You must visit it ifyou want a traditional French experience!
