Reviews for The Coach House
Review 1:Professional, friendly and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Accommodation first rate in every way. Tony and Mark attend to their guests extremely well. Would go back again and would most definitely recommend to family and friends. Chefs Breakfasts are Legend! Superb. 15/10!
Review 2:Being told on arrival that only a deposit had been taken from our credit card and the remainder of the cost would need to be paid in cash on departure. We were completely unaware of this prior to arriving.
Review 3:Wonderful ambience, delicious food, very comfortable bed and room, excellent service.
Review 4:The rooms are very well equipped and thoughtfully arranged. The en-suite is of a high standard and the tea/coffee facilities good. Breakfast was outstanding including delicious Welsh dishes. Diolch yn fawr!
Review 5:The room was lovely , clean and met all your needs ! The breakfast was too die for , we had been all over Wales for 11 days and this was by far the best breakfast
Review 6:As a suggestion, I would have like an earlier check in time, 16:30 was quite late for us after a long drive.
Review 7:It was a great location, we were well looked after and we would definitely recommend The Coach House to others.
Review 8:Attention to detail. It's obvious that the owners have given much thought into making this B & B second to none. The decor is lovely, the bed very comfortable and the room was spacious. Our host was welcoming and the breakfast choices were varied and really delicious. Excellent advice from our host regarding walking on the Brecon Beacons and where to eat in the evenings.
Review 9:I would encourage the owners to be a little more flexible. If someone wants a combination from two different breakfast meals, why not say "yes"?
Review 10:Spotlessly clean. Very fresh and modern. Large spacious room. Wonderful breakfasts - enormous portions, quality ingredients, well cooked. Good wifi. Lots of nice little touches in the rooms.
Review 11:This was one of five hotels we stayed at during our trip, if we were to repeat this trip it would be the only one I would actively seek out to stay at again, I have already recommended it to family in the U.K. The owners are interested and attentive and welcoming to all their guests
Review 12:Nothing just one can always say about price but to stay in quality you have to pay for it. Maybe more awareness of deals.
Review 13:The clean feel and the decor was stunning. Really nice staff and so helpful and knowledgeable.
Review 14:No wifi that ruins an otherwise perfect stay in a superb location to explore Brecon Beacons National Park.
Review 15:A perfect stay if the wifi works. All other facilities and food are excellent. the best breakfast in my 30-odd days stay in UK
Review 16:I stayed at the coach house for a friends wedding recently. From the minute I arrived I loved it. It was a beautiful venue stunning village, the coach house itself was decorated to an impeccable standard. The hosts and owners Mark and Tony were above and beyond the nicest people I have met in a long time and the most accommodating. They were helpful and friendly and made the stay extra special! And like all the other reviews, the breakfast was as good as Michelin standard with a huge variety! Loved every minute would go back again in a heartbeat.
Review 17:There were no negatives whatsoever.
Review 18:This venue had all the good facilities that I expect from a good B&B, but 2 details in particular made this venue stand out from the crowd, one was the fact there was a good varied selection of hot food items on the breakfast menu, the other was the fact there was a good selection of toiletries in the en suite bathroom.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:Everything - personal service, owners very helpful - superb room facilities including the personal touches and very clean my favourite was the breakfast (scrambled eggs with seaweed - very tasty) and plenty of delicious choices
Review 21:The room was quiet with all you would need and the breakfasts were more than adequate, tasty and generous. We were made very welcome. Although the hotel from the outside looked plain, the interior was furnished and decorated to a high standard. We liked the position of the hotel as it was only a short walk away fron the centre.
Review 22:Great little place to stay, and in a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The place was spotless and lovely room, very modern and nicely decorated. Breakfast was lovely, and although it's a small place, you just get the keys and just feels like a hotel freedom wise (we had been worried it would be more like a B&B) and when you do need anything, staff are super helpful.
Review 23:Only downside was no wifi available in room (top floor) and water pressure from tap was low (but shower pressure ok) These are very very minor quibbles.
Review 24:Great breakfast, plenty of choice. Nicely decorated. Bed was extremely comfortable and a king size to boot. Clean rooms. Staff friendly and helpful
Review 25:The whole place was beautifully decorated and our room had everything we needed. It was our anniversary and we came back one night to find a large box of chocs and our fizz in a chiller. An absolutely perfect touch to our stay. Breakfast options were extensive and superb. We would definitely return to this place, excellent.
Review 26:I phoned the owner at 10am on the morning of my stay to advise I had broken down outside of Tenby and was watching my car being pulled onto a low loader to be taken back to Jaguar Cheltenham for repair and would therefore not be able to complete my trip. I spoke to the owner that evening to confirm my message had been received and he advised he was unsure as to which web site was involved re charging After having paid Jaguar £835.48 for car repairsI was not to suited to find £99 has been charged to my card re accommodation. As a 74 year old pensioner that is a lot of money. I wonder if I might have the courtesy of a receipt?
Review 27:Nothing, I'm not a fan of top bed dressing ie bedspreads/cushions that don't get changed with each guest, but that is standard in most guest houses/hotels.
Review 28:Breakfast was best ever, room beautiful and clean. Hosts were lovely. Wifi fine, good car parking.
Review 29:Cannot recommend enough. Will definitely stay again. The breakfast menu was amazing, such a huge selection and tasted delicious, probably the best cooked breakfast i've ever had.
Review 30:Nothing! Only slight thing was that duvet was a little too warm for us but that's just personal preference.
Review 31:Very friendly and helpful staff, great position for walking into Brecon. Very nice room, comfortable and stylish. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Review 32:From the road this B&B is possibly not the most attractive, but it is well worth a stay here. Once inside the property it is brilliant!
Review 33:The rooms were absolutely spotless, extremely comfortable and well presented. Breakfast had a vast choice and well prepared. Welsh rarebit with bacon to be recommended!!
Review 34:Breakfast was the best we have had, for choice, and presentation, Staff very friendly, Rooms modern, clean, comfortable, with everything you need for your stay
Review 35:Only place we stayed at that didn't have a king size bed, but we knew that before we stay so this comment is not a complaint.
Review 36:Everything was great and Tony and Mark were most understanding when we were late for breakfast because of car problems. Loved the yummy toffees! Eight week old Megan (puppy) was just so cute and Tony took a photo of us with her!
Review 37:Two small gripes..the shower over the bath (we'll ask for a freestanding shower next time) and our room was at the front on a busy road so would ask for a back room.
Review 38:Fabulous hosts, delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. It is clean and modern, would definitely return.
Review 39:We didn't like only having one night there! Would have been lovely to sit in the garden reading a book or just pondering the meaning of life.
Review 40:We stayed one night for Brecon Jazz (Burt Bacharach). The Coach House is beautifully fitted out, decorated and furnished; there wasn't anything we would do differently. The proprietors were friendly, helpful, amusing - well done Marc! Room was lovely, bathroom nice, breakfast in the dining room was a joy - the menu spoils you for choice - and there's even a gorgeous garden for sitting out where you can watch the birds feeding and the kitchen herbs growing. Regarding location, it's easy to get in by car and it's a short walk into town over the bridge - pause and watch the duck dynasty below.
Review 41:Not much space! The room I had was in the attic and, therefore, low ceilings and cramped. I felt claustrophobic at times. I could have no doubt asked to change but had no inclination after unpacking. The price - I think it must have been because of the time of year but £95pn is expensive for a room that size with a cramped shower room.
Review 42:Location - near the centre of town and within walking distance from my place of work Very friendly staff Great breakfast Lovely large bed Ironing facilities on request
Review 43:I enjoyed the cleanliness and lovely decorated rooms. The hosts were very helpful and hospitable. They were very knowledgeable about Brecon and the surroundings, and also gave valuable tips about a later stop on my holiday. The breakfasts are lovely as well as varied. They are not only very tasty and filling, they are also well presented. I won't hesitate to stay here if I should find myself in Brecon once more.
Review 44:Nothing to not like!
