Reviews for Vichy Spa Hotel Montpellier Juvignac

Review 1:The room was too small. The breakfast was pitiful and badly served with long queues to get access to a coffee making machine. We left early.

Review 2:The massages. The pool

Review 3:Breakfast priced bit high. Location easy to miss and hard to find

Review 4:Spa pool is great to swim as complementary in the morning from 7 to 9 and evening 8 to 10.

Review 5:It was difficult to find the front door and the building looked more like an hospital than an hotel. The spa area was well fitted out but it was too hot. Also there were no robes in the bedroom and when we requested them at the spa were told that they were all gone. This happened on two consecutive days and is not acceptable at a 'spa hotel'. Also the bar lacked comfort and atmosphere.

Review 6:We liked the food in the restaurant the first night that we stayed there and the staff were friendly.

Review 7:Where to start!the beds were not changed for a week restaurant staff extremely rude broken toilet seat replaced with a dirty one ran out of clean towels left rubbish in room staff entered room without knocking charged for someone else's dinner even though not signed by me ,the list goes on & not one apology

Review 8:The staff in the spa were pleasant& two of the male receptionists were also pleasant

Review 9:The location on your website is very very deceiving and wrong where you state it is 1.2 miles from the centre of Montpellier and it is not it is 11 miles from the centre of Montpellier and its cost 40euros each way for a Taxi. The reason I booked this hotel was not only the look and facilities it had but also the supposed location and I'm angry that your website really was really mis-leading.

Review 10:Good friendly and really helpful staff and the rooms were good and comfortable.

Review 11:The access to the parking late at night: we had to wait a lot for somebody to open the gate for us.

Review 12:Very comfortable rooms, the water of the little SPA pool.

Review 13:The outsdoor pool is a tad small and could be heated as the summer begins to end. The indoor pool should be included in the room prize, as in other hotels, even if spa facilitied are not. And disallowing children under 16 seems extreme. Wifi as always in the EU is poor, and same for the TV offerings if one is not French!

Review 14:This is one of our favorite European hotels - it feels like a small, US-type hotel, but somehow softer. The premises are excellent, the beds fantastic, the staff sweet and friendly. Always a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Review 15:Staff checked us into someone else's room on our arrival (& they were in there - rather embarrassing!), all the little touches that you would expect from a year old hotel just weren't there, the staff completely forgot to provide basic things-this is after we'd had to go and ask for them (like some milk to accompany the complimentary tea/coffee which was already missing from the tray on our arrival - & having to boil the kettle on the floor as there wasn't a reachable plug on the desk or nearby). The restaurant menus were photocopied papers not even folded properly when we asked to look before choosing where to eat that night - you'd just expect much more professionalism - and reception weren't even able to give us a room service menu after we'd had to go and ask for one as it wasn't in the room welcome pack already (their pack says there is one & being tired after a long journey we had debated having room service). Staff in the Spa were snooty. Our balcony obviously hadn't been cleaned with some red stains on the floor and some rubbish. Would we return there? - never again. Its a lovely arrival and the room is beautifully done out but that's about it- they need to get the little and important things right. I was looking forward to this stay and had wanted to book a relaxing massage on the morning we left but after our initial greeting in the Spa and the various other issues we didn't bother

Review 16:The room was lovely on arrival and there was a great view of the golf course and easy access parking

Review 17:Breakfast was average and expensive. The hotel is located a long way away from the town. This hotel is only convenient if you are there for the golf course. This is a large hotel so there is no character. As it's a large hotel

Review 18:Efficient hotel with friendly staff. Nice room with comfortable bed.

Review 19:Location-around blocs, not easy to get heavy bag from the car parc to ur room. Nothin particylary bad for 1 night is ok, but next time I will choose another hotel.

Review 20:Room on the ground floor with small terrace. Room is clean

Review 21:We constantly had problems with the free wifi. Each guest was only given 5 minutes each to surf the Internet.

Review 22:The hotel and service staff were really helpful and polite. Spa treatments were 25% off. Really good prices for the restaurant and the rooms were really clean.

Review 23:Location. It is not near the citiy centre at all Finishes in the hotel are rubibsh, It is pretty new but falling a part. I won't last very long Very cold in the corridors SPA is expensive and swimming pools internal and external are tiny Not near the beach at all Nothing around

Review 24:Decent over all

Review 25:Different buildings , you have to take the elevator from parking to reception, no athmopheer at the swimming pool, no Milk for coffee in the room, poor internet, no bath tube, A lot small things what makes it not comfortabel .

Review 26:Very quit room , good bed.

Review 27:It was not a good place for the vacation time. Outside swimming pool is very very small, and you have to pay every thing for Inside all of facility. This is the first times I met such disappointing manage hotel. Traffic is very convenient, breakfast is bad too!

Review 28:Poor WiFi !! need login every few mins. Breakfast is poor and expensive. Location is not shown on GPS as they are on a "unnamed road".

Review 29:The pool, and golf course view

Review 30:Breakfast is a bit expensive at €16.00

Review 31:just about everything. was told on arrival that our dog maybe too big for the hotel. Should state their dog policies on Booking.com

Review 32:Breakfast very poor - very limited. Coffee machine didn't work. Went for a pre-dinner drink in bar to find it cluttered with uncollected glasses & tables dirty. We complained to be told that they had had a party of 6 disabled guests and minders and that it would be cleaned shortly! Dinner was a very limited set menu & the 1 option I could eat was "sold out" by 8pm with the restaurant only 30% full. The wi-fi dropped out every 5 minutes & it was laborious to re-sign in.

Review 33:Spa treatments were fine.

Review 34:The wifi kept dropping. Expensive breakfast for what was on offer.

Review 35:The bathroom was large and the bed comfortable. Access in to the spa wasn't included in the price, and the resident discount isn't cheap. This wasn't made clear on booking. However, the room was generous. The hotel can only be reached comfortably by car.

Review 36:Breakfast selection limited for a hotel of this category. Some of the items, like scrambled eggs were not refilled timely.

Review 37:Nice atmosphere, very quiet and very friendly staff. The restaurant is worth trying, very good quality for a very reasonable price.

Review 38:The first day they assigned us rooms with different kind of beds to what we had previously requested. After one hour of discussion, they recognized the mistake and gave us the right rooms. The second day, at 22:00 the rooms were not cleaned because the cleaning service had forgotten to do clean it. The third and last day, at 21:00 our rooms were not provided with towels.

Review 39:Make sure to check, where the Hotel is, it is 20km away from the city centre. The only thing which is possible good in this Hotel is the Spa, but it cost 20,-- per person. The wifi was slow and kick you out fast on your mobile.

Review 40:• modern Hotel

Review 41:- Ridiculously miserable location. No city and no nature to explore. Only barb wired golf course and 2km to the nearest ghetto. - "Junior suit" was small and extremely expensive. We had a family room twice as big for half the price in another 4 star hotel on our trip. Kids are not allowed to spa. - Everything is for high extra price and of mediocre quality.

Review 42:Clean, friendly staff.

Review 43:Hotel is a bit too far from the old town but it is accessible by taxi (approx 15mins). It's seclusion does make it attractive spa hotel however!

Review 44:We stayed only one night and had booked a standard room but the hotel was quiet and we ended up with a large room with a very large sun balcony (think we got better room than we had booked) staff could not do enough for us. We arrived on Sunday when restaurant was closed but were recommended (and booked) a great place in old town Montpellier. It did not disappoint! Pool was lovely in particular as we had it to ourselves.great facilities and great breakfast. Recommend the hotel & it's facilities! If you can get a corner room with balcony overlooking golf course!

Review 45:Stuff that wasn't bad enough to raise at the time, but I would have expected not to have to: Wifi was patchy and did not allow multisession logon. No butter provided for the bread at dinner. Pepper mill empty at dinner, and so were the two on the two adjacent tables. Not enough towels provided in room. Limited shower guard covered the entirety of the bathroom floor in water. Room (214) poorly signposted, took ten minutes to find once the signs had run out. A (numbered) map on the wall (in addition to the fire escape plan) would be helpful.

Review 46:Free upgrade - the junior suite I stayed in was spacious, spotless and beautiful. Reception staff were excellent, switching fluidly between languages.

Review 47:This hotel is brand new and was only opened this April, so not on the maps yet, and it is not easy to find, even with the sat nav. We have had a crazy hour searching for it!!! Look for a Golf course next to it and then for the small blue signs for the hotel.

Review 48:We have enjoyed our two weeks stay at the hotel, on the arrival were upgraded to a family room. The spa and indoor hydro pool is fantastic. Do try the restaurant, although a short menu and a wine list, it is cooked to perfection and definitely the best in the area.

Review 49:Pool was closed each evening very early (1900 hrs). No suit case racks. We had to leave them on the floor while using them. Internet was sporadic and I was bumped off repeatedly. Remote location, must have your own car. No obvious business relationship with the adjoining golf course. No lavatory available at the pool.

Review 50:It was quiete with an excellent staff. The restaurant preparation of dinners was excellent but limited in choices.

Review 51:Maybe it was because we had bathroom designed for people with disabilities, but when we used shower, whole floor was flooded, it was unpleasant and dangerous. Hotel should install shower curtain and look how to improve drainage. Also there was very bright blinking light in the room which made falling to sleep difficult. I covered it with dark cloth to solve the problem because you can't switch it off. Wifi was weak and receptionist didn't tell us first-up, that password is in upper case - frustrating at least.

Review 52:Nice big room, comfortable bed, everything feels brand new, big screen TV, efficient and quiet air conditioning, free parking available. We had nice balcony with view over swimming pool.

Review 53:The breakfast buffet was good but quite expensive. For such a luxurious hotel, I would probably have expected a superb buffet. However, we cannot complain since we paid such a good rate for the hotel room. The outdoor swimming pool is fine, but not big and not ideal for small children as it's quite deep and they cannot stand. The indoor pool is something to behold but cost money to use.

Review 54:A very nice, high-quality hotel with all modern amenities and comfort one would want. It has a really relaxing atmosphere, as you would expect from a spa hotel, so really the perfect for a holiday stay! The biggest plus is perhaps the staff - super-friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a welcoming smile. Makes a big difference! Peaceful and quiet location next to the golf course, yet close to most things and only 10 minutes to downtown Montpellier by car. This hotel is close to perfect and we would return for sure.

Review 55:The location is really bad, no transportation

Review 56:I could easily here what the others were doing in other rooms around us!

Review 57:The Team were great! Excellent food!

Review 58:Room cleaning was a bit chaotic

Review 59:The staf were exceptionally helpful. The restaurant was very good

Review 60:CHAMBRES DANS UN AUTRE BATIMENT E

Review 61:ENDROIT CALME

Review 62:It was comfortable, quiet and the restaurant was good.

Review 63:the position....really far away from the golf course entrance and from the tram stop

Review 64:the solarium and the swimming pools (inside and outside)

Review 65:room cleaning is not good

Review 66:fantasitc pool, lovely hotel

Review 67:Most enjoyable

Review 68:Wifi to slow and weak signal

Review 69:Especially Spa

Review 70:additional pay for indoor pool

Review 71:Didn't find the greeting at this hotel to be the most welcoming

Review 72:Good location to stay if travelling to Spain

Review 73:This is quite specific. We are vegetarians and asked on arrival if the restaurant could feed us both and we're told yes. The starter was a full dinner plate of sliced tomatoes drizzled with pesto and dressing (not acceptable). The main course was an omelette and green beans but on first attempt the omelette contained ham - not good! On second attempt they produced a cheese omelette. Our friends (meat eaters) said their meal was ok but the meal was ruined by the omelette fiasco. Having said all of this the hotel and restaurant has not been open long so maybe just teething problems. The chef did apologise and the staff and reception did compensate us on the price of the meal and wine which was all they could do. So, if you are a vegetarian I suggest you eat elsewhere if you stay at the hotel.

Review 74:The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms were exceedingly sumptuous. We had a room on the corner or the building (110) which was a larger room and larger balcony (sunbeds provided) than the room next door. The hotel had only been open about 6 weeks so everything was new and the price was low. The indoor pool looked wonderful but we didn't get the chance to use it or the spa facilities. The restaurant was stylishly decorated. The hotel is out of the city so very quiet.
