Reviews for Appart'hotel Odalys Atrium
Review 1:The lights in the hallway leading to the elevators did not turn on until I reached the fire door. The light switches lit nothing until the one located by the fire doors.
Review 2:Always friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable, and light-filled room. Spacious bathroom with a tub. :-)
Review 3:No, all good.
Review 4:The apartment was spacious, if a little tired and dusty. However the bathroom was clean and the kitchen area was good. There was a very useful self service laundry area which we used. The staff were very helpful, and when I left my computer charger there by mistake and travelled to another town, they kindly agreed to send it on to me by express post at my next destination. It arrived safely and I am extremely grateful to them.
Review 5:Parking is epensive at 12 euros per day
Review 6:Very well located studio in the center of Aix-en-Provence, with easy access from/to the Marseille airport road
Review 7:In the courtyard, staff would take their smoke breaks right by us rather than using the ample space where no one was sitting.
Review 8:The location was perfect, easy walk to old town. They had laundry facilities in the building which was a bonus. They also had a big courtyard for sitting outside.
Review 9:The rooms had bad small. the bed is not comfortable. The breakfast was no completely served. We stayed 3 days and we could have a complete breakfast in the first day only. In the other two mornings, many things were missing which includes also the coffee.
Review 10:the location
Review 11:A functional place, but no charm. Great location if you have a car, easy to get to from Autorote and parking in garage (although the space is a bit cramped).
Review 12:Our room smelt of stale smoke and its location on a busy road made it noisy if we opened the windows. Self catering facilities were basic and enough for us to have simple breakfasts and dinners in the room. Compared to self catering accommodation we have stayed in in Paris and Cassis this felt quite sterile and impersonal.
Review 13:Good central location, very basic accommodation.
Review 14:The people sitting on the courtyard until late at night were very disturbing. There was cigarette smell in the room every night thanks to them. The sitting area should not be so close to the rooms. No CNN on the TV :(
Review 15:The kitchen, the Wi-fi, friendly staff, large room, Bio Market and cheap Utile market nearby, Daily cleaning although it is written that there is no daily cleaning
Review 16:n/a
Review 17:We stayed here for two nights and had a great value for money choice. The rooms were very nice and fairly large. There was a kitchen and nice bathroom. The bed and linens were high quality, extremely comfortable. It was a quiet room and easy walking distance to the old town, shops and restaurants.
Review 18:I have stayed total eight (8) different hotels/appartment hotels through this time travel in France. Among them, this appartment was the worst.
Review 19:Maybe staffs.....
Review 20:The room was clean, all the facilities and amenities (bathroom, kitchen) were in good working order. We had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were generally helpful, including finding us a room to transfer to (with twin beds)
Review 21:One person at the desk was very nice but gave us wrong directions to the train station so we wasted an hour looking.
Review 22:Great location, clean, functional rooms. Definitely not luxurious but there's so much to see in and around Aix that we just needed a base. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.
Review 23:Wifi in bedroom very poor. Separate toilet to shower with no sink not great hygiene wise. Kitchenette dominated by a coffee machine could move it though. No tea towel
Review 24:Generally quiet area. Walk from station in 10 minutes
Review 25:The room was small and the kitchen was so small that we could not do any cooking.
Review 26:There was a very professional and helpful staff. The location was pretty good.
Review 27:Bed was uncomfortable and room was not warm. Although this hotel is a no smoking hotel, could smell during the evening a smoker somewhere on the 4th floor. Mentioned to reception on checking out.
Review 28:Location was within easy walking distance to major attractions and restaurants
Review 29:The sofa bed in the living room was dangerous if you sat on either end. Seems like you would fall into the mechanism.
Review 30:Perfect location, walking distance to Cours Mirabeau & other shops along the way. Friendly shopkeeper at nearby grocery store.
Review 31:rude staff, air conditioner not working, dirty walls, tiny cramped rooms, waaay overpriced / the place just seemed dirty so don't recommend
Review 32:shopping malls
Review 33:Room was a bit warm (at the end of March) even though we left the window open all day. Bed was a bit sunken in the centre...might need an update.
Review 34:The location was ideal, car park was very convenient, pet-friendly and plenty of space in the room. Very clean.
Review 35:The bad was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. And the people who accommodate us were very nice and charming. I will recommend for travelers to enjoy this wonderful place.
Review 36:Bedroom floor space not big enough for two suitcases to lay flat on the floor ( we were touring France and just stayed one night )
Review 37:Safe indoor parking for 12 Euro/day. Walking distance to markets, museums, shops and restaurants. Convenience of self catering or use of restaurant in building. We got a free upgrade : )
Review 38:When i opened my room there was already people in it so they changed us into a another room that was much smaller than the first one and there was no room to move
Review 39:Close to center of town and far enough to get out off the hussel
Review 40:The bed was narrow with hard edges.
Review 41:The hotel was situated very near the old town and next to a few restaurants and small supermarkets. The studio was modern and nicely decorated. The kitchen was equipped with a frigo, stove, micro oven and complete tableware. The spacy bathroom was equipped with a showere in a bathtub. A very nice stay :)
Review 42:bathroom needed some maintenance and repairs. air conditioner was not always working.
Review 43:excellent location with private easily accessible carpark. walk into aix en provence city. all shops and supermarkets right on your doorstep. kitchen facilities good. staff excellent and very helpful when we decided to extend our stay by 2 days.
Review 44:There is only one washer and drier in the facility so you may have towait a long time or get up early to do laundry. It takes a long time todry your clothes, though something is good about the drying: you put inthree euros and it keeps working until your clothes are dry. I feel thatanother washer and dryer would be very helpful, at least another dryer.
Review 45:The staff is nice, and the location is excellent: it takes about 15minutes to walk to the Cours Mirabeau, passing several restaurants andbakeries along the way. You can also take a bus but we walked every day.Compared to a couple of hotels we have stayed during this trip, our roomin Appart'hotel Odalys Atrium is very large, with a small kitchenarea, with a tea kettle, utensils, pots, plates, bowls, and cups. Wedidn't cook but found having plates and cups handy--for drinking hottea, washing fruits, and eating a simple breakfast. We found our stayhere very comfortable.
Review 46:No hotel restaurant open on the weekend or restaurant nearby. Perhaps they could arrange delivery?
Review 47:Very clean! Free parking. I would consider this chain elsewhere.
Review 48:Fridge a bit small for handling open bottles of bubbly, leaving only one alternative...
Review 49:Excellent location and great value for money. Tiny kitchen but adequate for breakfast and takeaway meals at end of long day of sightseeing. (Thoroughly recommend the L'Italien Epicerie Fine for superb food and wine to take out - 50 ms up the road). Female desk staff exceptionally helpful. Good parking facility. Easy to find and leave the city from. Highly recommended.
Review 50:I found some of the amenities to be cheaply made, such as the bathroom. The front desk staff were unable to help me with payment issue. It took over one week to resolve a simple matter.
Review 51:I liked the location and the convenience. Staff was friendly.
Review 52:Perfect for us: location to Mirabeau, staff helpfulness, cleanliness, size of bathroom and toilet, comfy bed, reasonable size apartment for France, great kitchenette with microwave. Secure parking. Would have booked for longer had we known.
Review 53:The WC cabinet in this "non-smoking" room smelled terribly of tobacco smoke. Only two coat hangers were provided and the soaps were taken away the second day and not replaced. The Odalys is a nondescript lodging much like an American budget motel with no hint of French charm.
Review 54:The location was great, kitchen facilities were helpful, and underground parking on site was an advantage. We also made use of the washer and dryer on site.
Review 55:I stayed for 8 nights and after a while the missing clothes hook in the bathroom (hole in the wall) and the missing picture (hole in the wall in the living/dining area) got to feel a bit shabby. I told the staff as I left because I didn't want workers in and out of my room while I was in residence.
Review 56:Location, staff, helpfulness, cleanliness.
Review 57:In the evening the wifi connection was quite bad because everybody were connected.
Review 58:Room big and quite clean. Kitchen equipped with all you need to cook lunch and dinner. Italian restaurant close to the HOTEL, where you can have also breakfast. Hotel close to downtown
Review 59:The very helpful staff gave us a better room than we booked. Having the second TV/bedroom as just a couple was excellent. The small kitchenette was great for simple meals to save money and is only a short walk to several shops for supplies. Walk a little further and you are in the old quarter of Aix.
Review 60:Stayed for 7 nights, two days apartment wasn't cleaned or serviced. Received a discount of two nights' free parking to appease us. Apartment was really small, barely enough room to get around the bed. Lift didn't work for 5 out of 7 days we were there. Restaurant attached to the hotel served terrible food, pizzas may have been alright but other dishes were inedible.
Review 61:Great location, only a 50 metre walk to the old part of Aix, and close to freeway entrance for driving. Parking available in a secure underground car park.
Review 62:unfortunately , we were there in the summer time and the air condition system in this apartment was very bad. we booked a quadruple room, first room we had , it was terribly hot, we could not breath, so they kindly change the room for us . the second room we got, better than the first, but still the same problem. air con did not work, just some wind came out but no cool at all. moreover, this second room is on the ground floor , we did not want to open the window as we were afraid that someone might break into our room while we were sleeping. in the morning, we asked the staff to call the technician to fix this problem, but the second night was still our nightmare, did not want to sleep overnight there but no choice to move somewhere else. we were disappointed that no one came to fix this even we told the the problem and ask for the help.
Review 63:Parking was very limited or nonexistent.
Review 64:Large bathroom, kitchen facilities were well equipped, large comfortable bed, quiet, walk straight down the street and there are many bars and restaurants, 5 minute walk to reach main street, groceries downstairs, wifi strong. Loved my stay here
Review 65:The bed was impossibly hard - we used all the spare duvets to pack to mattress to make it tolerable.
Review 66:The location was excellent being near the end of a main walking street down to the lovely Cours Mirabeau. The availability of parking (albeit at some cost) was an important plus for us. We had a one bedroom apartment which we found great for our 6 nights stay.
Review 67:The bathroom door akwardly divides the bathroom space when it's open. Very few storage space. Lame TV channels.
Review 68:The hotel is close to the central part of town as well as the train and main bus station. Our room had good natural light and enough space.
Review 69:We have stayed in this complex twice, and each time for long periods of time. The staff are wonderful, and in particular Pedro, if you can stay up late enough to see him! Nothing is too much trouble for him and his kind friendly nature is endearing!
Review 70:We were a group of 9 and rented 2 apartments and one studio. Everything was just perfect. We enjoyed the space and admired the care for details in the kitchens (utilities, accessories, cleaning products, towels). WiFi incredibly fast and steady. Everything as advertised and more, at an ideal location just across the street from the pedestrian area and at a very reasonable price. Will go back for sure!
Review 71:We asked for mugs for our kitchenette and were told they only had espresso cups. Later we asked someone else and they gave us mugs. Our safe was locked and the instructions in our room were different, the front desk said they could send a technician to open the safe the next day. An hour later someone was at the door to open the safe. The wifi wouldn't work and we were told to try again later. Asking someone else they gave us other passwords to try which worked. Seems that it depends on who you ask at the desk as to the response you'll get, some solve the issue others defer it.
Review 72:Great location and comfortable rooms. The kitchenette was great.
Review 73:I had breakfast in the restaurant only once and was not impressed. Too expensive for what was offered.
Review 74:Quiet and spacious room overlooking the court yard. Daily cleaning, which is unusual for an apart hotel. Excellent location, easy walk to old part and center of Aix.
Review 75:The air conditioner was not powerful enough to sufficiently cool the room.
Review 76:The location was perfect. A ten minute walk to the train station and less than ten minutes to the center of town. It was clean and comfortable for a family.
Review 77:The room was small and a bit dark. The restaurant looks unimpressive.
Review 78:Good location, close to city centre, underground parking, WiFi connection, friendly English speaking staff. Good value for money.
Review 79:If you want to be picky the corridors are pretty dreary.
Review 80:Great location, big studio room/apartment with double glazing so quiet too. Easy walk to old part of town (5 minute stroll). Would definitely stay here again
Review 81:Great hotel, perfect rooms with big kitchenette separated from the bedroom. Very nice bathroom with bathtub. Clean and friendly staff, good value for money compared to the pricy hotels in Aix. Very central as well.
Review 82:It was low season, and unfortunately breaky was low too!
Review 83:Very good location. Having a little kitchen was very handy.
Review 84:The apartment was pleasant and near to the city center.
Review 85:Additional pillows would have been helpful.
Review 86:The cooking facilities were very helpful. The location was excellent.
Review 87:the stuff
Review 88:Room not made and clean each day.
Review 89:Location! Easy train trip to Avignon. Great breakfast.
Review 90:Furniture can be better. And reception team can smile more!
Review 91:Located 5 minutes from center of Aix. Shops , restaurants are all there. We enjoyed IT.
Review 92:Location walking to old city center
Review 93:Great central location and friendly staff.
Review 94:small room
Review 95:close to city center
Review 96:very small room far too expensive
Review 97:Common areas could improve (corridors, halls, ...)
Review 98:Location and family rooms
Review 99:Not luxurious but price is reasonable. Close to downtown area. Good if you need a place to lay your head.
Review 100:If you have a car you need to pre book parking, otherwise it's difficult in Aix
Review 101:Great location
Review 102:Aircon was weak and breakfast basic
Review 103:convenient and fairly cheap
Review 104:Hair in the bathroom, not just one ... Small and simple can be fine, hygenie not negotiatable.
Review 105:I could not get the wifi to work
Review 106:Quiet, clean and relaxed Staff all pleasant
Review 107:WiFi was unreliable.
Review 108:Good room, good location
Review 109:The toilet closet smelled of sewage.

Review 111:Pillows were uncomfortable
Review 112:Location
Review 113:Good location, good size room, comfortable bed, wifi worked well.
Review 114:Helpful and friendly staff nice atmosphere comfortable well presented room excellent location
Review 115:The rooms were quite small. A pity there was no swimming pool.
Review 116:Well equipped small kitchen, comfortable bed and immaculate rooms.
Review 117:The location is the main good thing. Otherwise overpriced for what it is.
Review 118:Terrific base for exploring Aix on foot - 100m from Rue d'Italie and some great food
Review 119:It was a small room but that didn't,t matter
Review 120:Love Aix.
Review 121:Dark corridors. Staff uncertain about events or transport on public holiday.
Review 122:Friendly staff.
Review 123:The bed we stayed was so horrible that couldn't sleep.
Review 124:Mostly good !
Review 125:Staff at reception were most helpful which put you at ease
Review 126:Too far from gare routiere with entire luggage
Review 127:650 meters from centre ville Not far from Musée Granet Helpful staffs Nice kitchen
