Reviews for Hack and Spade
Review 1:We were so well provided for at the Hack and Spade, the rooms are stunning, breakfast amazing and everything is spotlessly clean. I can't wait to book up again!!
Review 2:The evening waitress staff were poorly trained, one had an incredibly abrupt manner and this wasn't appropriate for that kind of establishment. Otherwise great.
Review 3:The hosts were really friendly, the room comfortable and clean.
Review 4:It's a B and B with a restaurant Th, F and Sat. So no real service out of those hours. V comfortable, quiet and v clean. Friendly. Website slightly misleading as it makes it look like a hotel. Basically, it's a luxury B and B.
Review 5:An absolutely luxurious B&B in very scenic surroundings with beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales from most bedrooms. Large, very stylishly decorated rooms with modern, well equipped bathrooms. Top class, freshly cooked breakfast and exceptionall, gourmet like dinner prepared by the owner. Very friendly and welcoming.
Review 6:I think the breakfast choice was limited for me because i like fish - but there was none on offer and also although an extremely nice lady I felt she was under pressure and it made me feel a little un-relaxed.
Review 7:Everywhere was beautifully clean and tidy and on arrival the lady owner was extremely friendly

Review 20:We chose the Hack and Spade after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. It was a pit stop stay on our drive back to Sussex after our holiday in Scotland and our only regret was it wasn't for longer! Shall certainly be returning.

Review 26:From the initial contact to the waving goodbye, Jane made us feel very welcome .We booked the hotel for a long weekend birthday / anniversary celebration to follow the Tour de France. Jane got up very early Saturday to make our breakfast and to make us a packed lunch to take for the day. Her menus include an excellent selection of locally sourced food. The black pudding is to die for !!! Our room was just superb , the views are breath taking and very quiet and relaxing.
