Reviews for Le M - Hôtel Honfleur

Review 1:Nylon bedding too hot;Towels small and thin. NO RESTAURANT OPEN FRIDAY SATURDAY.Much too expensive, Paris prices. No information in room.No fridge or safe. Hotel made cheaply of wood.Definitely NOT THREE STAR ...........

Review 2:Quite convenient for Honfleur

Review 3:The restaurant was closed (which we weren't told on the phone) which made our stay with baby twins much less enjoyable (take away pizza in the entrance hall for dinner). The breakfast is not very fresh nor good and the hotel is new and without much charme.

Review 4:Not really bad, but the rooms could have done with a shower curtain to stop water going everywhere and would have been nice to have had some tea/coffee machine in the room

Review 5:The staff were very friendly and we loved the pool and sauna

Review 6:Our room was quite small for 2 people. It felt like a single room with a second bed added to accommodate. I booked sufficiently early in advance of our stay to expect a correct size bedroom. It is my 3rd stay in this hotel and I felt disappointed this time. Also the bathroom could have been cleaner the sink was dirty around the taps and the toilet was cracked.

Review 7:Great location for the port of Honfleur. Good parking facilities.

Review 8:My only bad observation is that the toilet in the room was filthy around the rim

Review 9:The location & General siting of the hotel is great for the harbour. The food was good but no draught beers & the bottles were very expensive

Review 10:Convenient for exploring Honfleur (about 20 min leisurely walk to centre) with lots of parking. Hotel is basic and clean with pleasant helpful staff. Breakfast is typical.

Review 11:The water flow was poor. It is explained to n ecological grounds! We had difficulty washing off soap and shampoo. Took longer and may have used more water.

Review 12:The hotel was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The availability of a swimming pool was great. I really enjoyed my swim before breakfast. I also liked the quirky art work made from driftwood.

Review 13:We liked this hotel. The rooms were clean, if a little small, and were quiet at night. The pool was nice, as was the sauna and steam room. There is enough parking on site, but parking on the road outside is also OK.

Review 14:This hotel is advertised as having facilities for the disabled. I am a wheelchair user so this was important when making my booking. I contacted the hotel who confirmed by email that a room with disabled facilities had been reserved. However, the only facilities they have are two parking spaces and a ramp. No facilities whatsoever in the room nor the public areas of the hotel. In fact the pool area was inaccessible. We were offered a complimentary breakfast as compensation for the "mis-understanding". In addition, we chose this hotel because it has a restaurant, but it was closed. All in all a bad experience.

Review 15:It is in Honfleur

Review 16:No shower curtain in the bathroom. 2 single beds did not have a catch to keep them attached.

Review 17:The staff were friendly and helpful. Great swimming pool with sauna and a patio area to sunbathe. Decor was very quirky and quite interesting to view. Very good continental breakfast. Free wifi. Although we didn't have our dog with us, it is pet friendly!

Review 18:- The room was small. - The walls in the bathroom were moldy, which is terrible for a hotel like this. -The hotel charged us the accomodation three times. The reception officers did not react neither to our phonecall, nor to our e-mail regarding these mistakes in debiting our account.

Review 19:Yes, the shower curtain is missing as others have written... And wefound the breakfast too expensive to try it.

Review 20:Good hotel for 1-2 nights stay in Honfleur which is a "must tosee" in Normandy! Comfortable walk to the harbour and the old townand no problem with parking as the hotel has its own. Everything ok,but according to the size of the room I would not choose it for morethen 2 nights.

Review 21:The pool, sauna and steamroom were fantastic after a long journey. The 10 minute walk to the town centre was enjoyable, especially on the way back after a meal and drinks.

Review 22:We arrived on a Saturday evening after a long journey from the UK and were disappointed to find the hotel restaurant was closed on weekends and we had to walk 15 mins into the town centre with our very young baby. We were in the middle of a heatwave but sadly there was no air con in our room. Also, the cot for our baby was incorrectly installed - the mattress wasn't fixed properly and our baby fell through to the metal bars in the night - but the receptionist was suitably horrified when we told her. It was an overpriced hotel, given the location.

Review 23:The pool was nice and so was breakfast, although the latter was not included in the cost.

Review 24:Clean, comfortable rooms. Lovely bar area. Swimming pool was an absolute treat. We stayed for one night before the overnight ferry back to UK. We were allowed to leave our car and return to use the swimming pool facilities for the rest of the say. On a day where the temperature was easily in the 30's, this was a very welcome delight.

Review 25:Staff on reception could have served with a smile. Looked like she was working under protest. When leaving, we had a much more pleasant lady serving us.

Review 26:Loads of hot water. We only stayed for one night but very comfortable, not too far a walk into Honfleur and all on the flat. Breakfast was typically French and self serve.

Review 27:Restaurant closed Saturday and Sunday No shower curtain making it difficult to shower without wetting floor making it slippy Restaurant not available Monday due to coach party

Review 28:Friendliness of staff Cleanliness of hotel

Review 29:Mainly the smell of the restaurant area. Smelt like the carpets hasn't been cleaned from years of food being spilled on them or something. Very off putting. It's a shame because it all looked very nice, it just didn't inspire much confidence in the food.

Review 30:Liked the rooms and the pool looked good! Nice TVs. We had 2 rooms which joined, (one for the kids.) We payed £109 for both rooms which wasn't too bad I thought. A very short drive to harbour.

Review 31:less german language ability, breakfast less diversified, no cucumber ot tomato slices, rooms small

Review 32:New facilities, excellent interior design, fantastic new pool with hammam, beds comfortable

Review 33:One thing mentioned over and over on the reviews is lack of a shower curtain. This should be addressed. Also, the coffee in the breakfast buffet was lukewarm. I would suggest they put a the pot on a warming tray.

Review 34:The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Suggested a great restaurant to visit. Room was spotless. Breakfast was good.

Review 35:No negatives at all.

Review 36:Stayed here last year and thought it was excellent value, friendly service, good location. Booked again this year before knowing they now have a superb swimming pool. Pool is to a very high spec. with sauna and steam room. Staff very friendly and even offered to go home to get a special drink they had run out of !

Review 37:No shower curtain, water poured out on the floor.

Review 38:Good value for the money. Nice location just a short walk from the main town. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Review 39:Breakfast. Was unfortunate to follow a coach party which left many items in short supply. On mentioning to staff there was no immediate reaction so departed and went elsewhere.

Review 40:Staff very good and bar facility.

Review 41:The wifi was extremely temperamental and we were logging in every few minutes to gain access.

Review 42:Friendly staff who were happy to assist. Facilities were good with parking. Hotel has a great restaurant for dinner.

Review 43:The restaurant was closed for the evening.

Review 44:The hotel is easy to find, great to walk to the centre where it's all happening. I would stay here again.

Review 45:Nice room, but bedside tables more like oversized ashtrays.

Review 46:On the outskirts of town with free parking. Walkable distance to the old port. Very good free swimming pool/sauna/steam room.

Review 47:Breakfast a bit pricey so we went into town. A mini bar would have been nice but great hotel anyway.

Review 48:Kids loved pool and sauna/ steam room. Ten mins walk to town even with very small kids. Friendly staff. Super fast wifi . Highly recommend.

Review 49:No curtain or door in shower which can be a problem with splashing. However the staff explained that the reason was for hygiene reasons (mildew) and that it is being addressed.

Review 50:Location, value for money, quiet and good parking facility which can be a problem in Honfleur. Very clean bathroom. We are looking forward to our stay next year where a new swimming pool and Spa should be available.

Review 51:Current building work going on in the car park which of course is temporary. was a little difficult to find a car parking space when the restaurant was full.

Review 52:good breakfast and clean comfortable room good service. more expensive than other hotels but stayed there twice and will again.

Review 53:We planned to eat in on the Friday only to find the restaurant was closed. No warning? Lack of a shower curtain. This was reported and quickly fixed. Apparently it is now policy not to have a shower curtain. This makes no sense.

Review 54:Staff were first class. Breakfast perfect. Quiet. Close to centre. Parking good.

Review 55:The hotel is a bit tired,no bedside table on either side of bed, no shower curtain to bath (apparently a health and safety issue.) Tap in hand wash basin had lost its chrome finish due to heavy cleaning. Corridors, though clean, had the carpets stained by what appeared to be bleach marks. Lastly no possibility to make a tea or coffee as one gets up in the morning.

Review 56:Pleasant staff, rooms clean, good breakfast. Towels clean and soft.

Review 57:Friendliness of hotel staff. Free parking at hotel. Convenience of Le M hotel to Honfleur centre. Breakfast (all you can eat) and great variety - Euro11.00.

Review 58:Shower curtain was missing in our room but it wasn't a big problem, the floor got a bit wet but was easily mopped up with a towel.

Review 59:Very friendly and clean independant hotel. Well located for visitingHonfleur. We nearly stayed in a budget chain hotel but decided to stayhere for just a few euros more and I'm so glad we did.

Review 60:Location is a little way from the town, 15min walk, so if you want to be in the centre choose another. But apart from that if you don't mind the walk it was lovely.

Review 61:Clean and welcoming. Rooms well equipped and all facilities were ok.

Review 62:Rooms are rather small and cramped - the price is a bit high, compaired to the hotel comfort

Review 63:Good location (just a short walk to the main harbour) with own free parking, the room and facilities were clean, excellent bed. Wi-fi connection was working.

Review 64:no shower curtain made it awkward to shower and keep bathroom floor dry.

Review 65:very friendly staff, lady on reception very helpful on arrival explaining hotel position and how to get to the centre of Honfleur and providing centre maps. Excellent variety of choices for breakfast. Really good food also served for evening dinner. Good free parking facility and easy walk to town

Review 66:the mattresses and pillow were made of non breathable materiual which meant the it was very sweaty.

Review 67:It was close to town to walk. Good for parking as we could stay till 12 and allowed us time to explore Honfleur.

Review 68:The price is a bit high, compaired to the hotel comfort. The Continental breakfast that was not included in the price, could be better considering the extremely high quality of food to be found i France. This hotel should try a little harder..

Review 69:Ok situated near Honfleur. Rooms are Ok, though a bit small.

Review 70:Leaving!

Review 71:The room and facilities were clean and comfortable, The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Superb breakfast, really good for the overnight traveller. Located a pleasant 15 minute walk from the very picturesque town centre and harbour.

Review 72:Despite specifying the room type we wanted months ahead we did not get it as all attention was paid to coach travellers stopping in the location. practically no sound-proofing between rooms or to the noisy road. We left with a feeling that we were not particularly wanted nor taken for, contrary to all other hotels (11) we visited on the same trip.

Review 73:Location is actually quite good, as you can avoid the nightmare traffic in the town itself. Breakfast was good.

Review 74:No shower screen or curtain in bathroom.

Review 75:The hotel looks quite arty when you arrive in reception, rooms are clean and have recently been decorated so overall it's is quite a comfortable hotel which is ok for people who are mobile as it's a short walk to the centre. There is some construction work going on to build a swimming pool which is in an annex so doesn't affect the main hotel. I would stay here again.

Review 76:The woman in the reception who refused to accept a complaint about the food.... Luckily the manager turned up.

Review 77:Location and rooms....and the nice lady who worked in the reception when we arrived....and much thereafter

Review 78:Breakfast was quite expensive compared to other local outlets.

Review 79:Location within easy walking distance of Honfleur and easy parking also. Very comfortable also

Review 80:Value for money is not there - I paid 124 Euros for the room night andtwo cold-counter breakfasts .. that is not value for money for thishotel standard.

Review 81:Hotel is within reasonable walk to the harbour front and town. Staffwere helpful and good.

Review 82:It was a good fifteen minute walk to harbour and restaurants ok if you are fit , luckily we are . This is not a negative comment as if you are not drinking with dinner you could get your car a little closer they are doing building works and the view from one side of the breakfast room was somewhat dreary !

Review 83:The hotel was modern and bright . Breakfast was very good and you could have a drink there in the evening as there was Always someone on reception 24 hrs . Parking was good too .

Review 84:THE FOOD & DRINKS IN THE RESTAURANT WERE VERY EXPENSIVE. ALSO THE FOOD WAS NOT PARTICULARY GOOD.

Review 85:HAS FREE PARKING. NICE OUTDOOR AREA AT THE BACK OF THE HOTEL. HOTEL ALLOWS DOGS.

Review 86:No shower curtain in the bathroom so the floor flooded every time you took a shower. Ask for one at reception to be told they don't do shower curtains!

Review 87:The bed was very comfortable, the location was good, about 15 minute walk from town. Free parking at the hotel. TV & Wifi worked well (once wifi was actually working).

Review 99:rooms a little bit small, but not a major issue

Review 100:Good swimming pool, sauna etc, helpful staff

Review 101:Perfect pool, sauna and hammam. Excellent if travelling with a dog.

Review 102:It was a lovely, friendly, clean hotel, swimming pool and sauna were an added bonus, and breakfast was excellent!

Review 109:A little out of town

Review 110:Nice place with good service

Review 111:It suited our needs. We could walk into Honfleur, have a meal and a drink without using the car. Also the use of the pool added to our stay.

Review 112:Modern hotel & not too big, quite near the old port. It had a restaurant & bar. Good buffet breakfast, after a very comfortable nights sleep.

Review 113:Swimming pool especially as we were only ones in it most of the time
