Reviews for Appart'City Perpignan

Review 1:rooms standardised, very comfortable clean, great value for money but no character or personality

Review 2:great facilities, right opposite the tain station entrance which is brilliant for exploring the region. but still only 10-15 mins walk to centre of town and also very quiet thanks to great sound proofing

Review 3:Dirty windows and wall-to-wall carpet. Perhaps the breakfast could be more copious, everything seemed to be ending all the time.

Review 4:Clever design, spacey. Nice balcon to the sun. Peaceful.

Review 5:Long walk to the city centre with few convenient buses.

Review 6:Easy cheap parking and very convenient for the rail station. Good if you want to eat basic snacks and meals in the room. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Review 7:terrible people outside hotel why cried all night, car place (for our big car) was not safety, location is pretty dangerous (near the railway station)

Review 8:big clean apartments, kitchen, supermarket near the hotel

Review 9:Very convenient location with a large supermarket nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy and clean room with a small kitchen. Super value for money.

Review 10:You MUST pay for everything, parking, Wi-Fi, change towels... You don't have full or true info when you check hotel on internet !!!!

Review 11:Location, staff

Review 12:I did not find any electric kettle in the kitchenette, but this is only a very tiny negative thing which I noticed

Review 13:Very friendly and effective staff, very clean room, as I travelled by train it was perfect to stay right next to the train station

Review 14:No easy chairs - had to sit on beds. No kettle. Poor kitchen utensils - no sharp knife. Small window so room was a bit dark - wish I'd booked a "superior studio" with a terrace.

Review 15:Proximity to bus and train stations, cleanliness, sound insulation

Review 16:It was very plain, not comforting, beds were uncomfortable and noisy, curtains were missing from the living area, some of the amenities were broken. Not enough towels etc for the number of guests expected and additional requests (ie a cot) were not provided despite being requested and paid for until we asked for them.

Review 17:It was very convinent for the station and the room size was good

Review 18:1. Dirty mattress with no protective cover, i.e., sheet placed directly on top of mattress. Unbelievably unhygenic! 2. Room was not prepared for two guests - had to go ask Reception for another towel. 3. Unwashed kitchen cups in cupboard with coffee stains, dried food on cutlery and saucepans not washed properly. 4. No fold-out luggage storage to put suitcase on. 5. Grubby carpet - why not tiles? 6. Room not representative of photos on internet. 7. Coming all the way from Australia the room we were given was a real disappointment - unfortunately we could not recommend Apartcity despite its convenient location. 8. Wifi kept cutting out in room so had to repeatedly log in.

Review 19:The location was very good - close proximity to the station and supermarket.

Review 20:I wouldn't bother with the breakfast, you could get the same up the road in a bakery much cheaper!

Review 21:The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful. The one bed apartment was very spacious, minimalist but big which was perfect. With a young child it's so much easier to have a separate bedroom and living area for after they have gone to bed. Really handy to have the kitchen area too.

Review 22:There are extras to paid that are not announced at Booking.com website! If you want to have changed the towells or the linen during you stay, you have to pay extra!

Review 23:Nice, clean, well-maintened building and rooms.

Review 24:It is the Ryan Air of hotels, you pay for every service. The bed was too low for middle aged people. The kitchen had no kettle.

Review 25:For one or two days fine but for over a week not.

Review 26:We couldn't get the coffee maker to work, but we didn't actually ask staff to help.p

Review 27:Very convenient location for trains and buses, but also not too far to the old town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Luggage storing facilities secure and very convenient.

Review 28:Have to pay for wifi, €2 per day. Have to pay for room cleaning, change of towels/linen etc. Room smelled like a combination of cheap male cologne and old onions on our arrival. You have to get rid of your own rubbish, down in the basement through a carpark, and you are expected to clean after yourself.

Review 29:Across the road from train station. Sound-proofed room with decent bed. Kitchen facilities were OK.

Review 30:WiFi in the rooms is extra, and therefore only available in the lobby. No kettle, room could have been laid out better.

Review 31:Very clean, very secure, very convenient for the station. Centre of town a short walk.

Review 32:There is no free wifi, you need to pay two more euros. You have to take the rubish out of the room, if not they give you a charge. Also if the roomo is not perfectly clean.

Review 33:The appartmet is very well-equipped.

Review 34:The carpets need cleaning. Toaster would be handy. Towels very thin and need replacing.

Review 35:The location was good with the supermarket across the road. Train station great.

Review 36:Door locks were complicated, so much so that they had a demonstration model at check-in. However this was the other way round to the door we had so we still had a few problems, understandable since we had been travelling for 13 hours and it was almost midnight. We also didn't like the very detailed terms and conditions we had to sign for a one-night stay. (too detailed to really read and understand on the spot). If we had been staying longer, self-catering, we might have understood this requirement but in any case we have not been required to do so by Appart'City's competitors in the aparthotel market when we have stayed with them.

Review 37:Really lovely large bed with crisp linen. Air-conditioning. Ease of access to the train station and city centre. Copious breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay there again in spite of criticisms.

Review 38:Man at front desk, ridiculous prices for wifi/storing luggage/parking/losing key card/breakfast/laundry... Probably more. Also huge splinter from balcony - no compensation provided.

Review 39:Towl rack heater in bathroom and comp. upgrade

Review 40:The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We paid 2 euros to have wifi in our room for the day which was well worth it. The kitchenette was really handy too. Incredible value and opposite the train station which is what we needed.

Review 41:Didn't have a bread knife not good in France

Review 42:Ease of booking, location , price, safe secure car parking. Very clean building extremely helpful staff.

Review 43:I wish we'd had the internet for free and not have to pay the 2 euro for it!

Review 44:The room was incredible, very clean, great conditions. Basically everything you would need to have in a mini apartment!

Review 45:Had to pay extra for wifi in our room. But you could use it in the lobby free.

Review 46:Nice balcony to sit on in the evening and lots of free parking close by!

Review 47:Would have expected to have free wifi in rooms. Not a big cost to either client or hotel but if it was free it would have ticked all the boxes

Review 48:You got everything that you needed for a good stay. Being right across from station was super.

Review 49:Good price for the room. We stayed 6 nights. After 3 days complimentary linen change would have been nice.

Review 50:Small kitchen. Large room with balcony and view of the Pyrenees.

Review 51:No oven, but microwave was able to cook pizza from Supermarket in the shopping centre across the street

Review 52:The size and cleanliness of the apartment. A very large apartment comfortably sleeping six, close to Perpignan railway station. Across the road!

Review 53:The reception doesnt open untill 3pm so it is impossible for earlier check - in, unless it is payed for in advance. The wifi is free only at the reception.

Review 54:The convenient location - next to the train ans bus station and close to the city centre.

Review 55:The apartment is close to the station and within walking distance of the town. There are cafes and restaurants close by. Although the room is small, it had a pleasant bathroom and was adequate for an overnight stay.

Review 58:HARD double bed made up of two singles pushed together. Lack of finish ... the developer clearly effected by the GFC

Review 59:Staff, huge bathroom, covered parking, in room Yi Fi (2 E/24hr) & 15 minutes walk to old city.

Review 60:Grotty area; dog mess on the pavements; no restaurants or shops close by. Not great but it was functional.

Review 61:Underground car-parking; close to Lidl supermarket.

Review 62:The apartment was near to the station and therefore an ideal location for visiting surrounding towns. It was very comfortable and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 63:Wifi said to be in foyer, not in rooms. Wifi in rooms would be good.

Review 64:Clean, pleasant, very cheap, efficient, nice linen, how do they do it at this price? person at desk to help. Just right for staying overnight after a long train journey, to catch the station bus in the morning,.

Review 65:Althoigh it is a 'none-smoking' apparthotel, there were inconsiderate guests who smoked in their rooms and sent their vile cigarette smoke wafting through the air conditioning. This spoilt our stay as we ended up having to turn off the air conditioning. However after 5 minutes the smell took over again. I mentioned it to the lady on reception who politely told me that there was basically nothing they could do to police it and they just open the windows and spray air freshener when a room has been smoked in. So go for your lives, smokers! I certainly won't be back.

Review 66:Cosiness, good view of the mountains, excellent location directly opposite the train station which had a supermarket and bank facilities. Apartment had a great shower.

Review 67:The apartment was well equipped but the furnishings and fittings seemed quite cheap and basic. The kitchen area was quite minimal. Nice to have carpet but it was very badly stained.

Review 68:The apartment was spacious, the parking very convenient and stress tree and all the door/lift/entry systems very efficient and easy, Staff very welcoming and helpful. Prices for parking, breakfast and wifi in the room were reasonable

Review 69:Unable to moderate the heater. We found a tad warm for sleeping.

Review 70:Very close to the gare (train station). Just enough kitchen utensils to cook up an easy meal. Space bathroom.

Review 71:Chambre trop petite.

Review 73:Nothing, excellent couple of restaurants nearby.

Review 74:Everything was in excellent working order, secure parking a bonus. yes it is a bit clinical, but that is what we needed for an overnight stay

Review 75:Staff if not enough. Only one person there and we had to wait over 1 hour to check in Interior parking can fit cars not taller than 1.90 meters Rather crowded area Too much self service and reception closed at night

Review 76:Staff speaks many languages, polite and helpful Very close to taxi and train station Nice rooms Good value for money

Review 77:About a ten minute walk from the centre of town, but the main road from the centre to the station is quite run down. Every other shop is either shut down or a kebab shop.

Review 78:Proximity to train and coach station. Excellent location if you want to use this as base to travel around the region. 1 Euro anywhere in the region. Excellent value.

Review 79:Carpet had dogs hair. Apartment didn't have bedside tables, chopping board, bread knife, sharp vegetable knife...it appeared unfinished. Wifi very unreliable. Seedy part of town but easy 10min wAlk to centre ville

Review 80:Undercover parking. But was not included.

Review 81:Snotty staff. We arrived early after working 36hrs straight. Rooms were ready but staff wanted to charge us nearly double yo let us in 3 hrs early. Ridiculous.

Review 82:Leaving

Review 83:Room smelt of smoke (something wrong with the aircon?) and the kitchen was fine for making drinks, salads etc. but not for anything more.

Review 84:Brand new building with excellent sound proofing, spacious room, big clean bathroom, right by the train station. Lots of interesting looking other guests.

Review 85:We'd booked a superior twin but initially were given a standard size room, ( much smaller ). This was changed when we raised it with reception. All the beds are short and narrow, whether they're singles or doubles !

Review 86:New hotel, helpful staff, big room ,balcony ( superior twin ). Secure under building parking. Quiet and pleasant, good soundproofing.

Review 87:Spotlessly clean, very quiet, and you couldn't be closer to the railway station or the bus station. Also a very comfortable bed, and large bathroom.

Review 88:Quite impersonal and characterless. Also while our room looked very clean there was a mouldy pot in the press that looked like it had been there a very long time. Also a bit of a weird smell-May have been the rotting pot

Review 89:Perfect location if it is a one night stop as it is very close to the train station. Very modern and has everything you need. Good size bed and bathroom.

Review 90:Nothing.

Review 91:We had to catch the train in the morning and return our car and it's accorded the road from the train station. The room was very comfortable and clean and if war had needed it, we could have been self-catering. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Review 92:There was no internet connection in the room.

Review 93:Since we came in by train and were leaving the next morning, the location was perfect. The room was quiet and nicely cooled.

Review 94:Additional charge for internet access in the room. Free access in the lobby only. No way to get change for the vending machines when reception is closed. Secure, but could do with a safe.

Review 95:Easy to locate. Friendly staff. Very clean, and quiet. Close to taxis, central station, and supermarket.

Review 96:Nothing

Review 97:The location is perfect for train travellers (right opposite the station), but is approx 15 min walk to the town centre. The staff were friendly & helpful, the room and its facilities were very good and the cost was reasonable.

Review 98:No wifi in room, supposed to be in hall but not great there either. Had to go to lobby for good reception where there was only one small sofa to sit. If two Expel already there you had to stand.

Review 99:Excellent location if travelling by train, about 10 minutes from city Center

Review 100:What I really missed is a comfortable chair to read a book or watch tv. Only kitchen table chairs were available.

Review 101:Very friendly and helpful guy at check in. Very big room with balcony and kitchen, fully equipped Modern and clean. Across from railway station, walking distance to historic center. Price

Review 102:There was Internet access but this is clearly an area that requires improvement across the whole hospitality sector. Why is it necessary to constantly log in and why should there ever be any charge for Internet connection?

Review 103:We found it so useful to be located beside the railway and bus station with access to the 1euro buses which serve a large part of the local region (plus a 1euro train). Nice historic core to Perpignan within easy walking distance and good restaurant choices

Review 104:No electric kettle. Only two pillows on double bed.

Review 105:Location just across street from TGV station. Kitchen facilities made it easy for comfortable overnight stop. Staff very helpful. Everything clean and new. Good size bed with firm comfortable mattress.

Review 106:I did not like that lights in the hallways were motion-detected. As a solo female, it did not make me feel secure because the lights lagged and the hallways lacked natural light.

Review 107:Location is good if you are using the trains. It is easy enough to walk to the city center.

Review 108:Kitchen facilities were a little limited could have done with larger pans, better knives etc.

Review 109:Nice apartment, large spacious rooms and air conditioning. Great location by the train station, quiet area.

Review 110:The kitchen facilities were pretty basic and no water glasses was a negative but seriously, for 60 euros a night, what do you expect?

Review 111:A quick overnight stay meant not spending much and, having travelled for almost two days from Australia, it was great to be able to prepare a simple in the apartment and then sleep. The apartment had more room and storage space than the average French hotel room, and a great bathroom. The reception staff were great too; very helpful and friendly.

Review 112:Just the need of a small washing machine instead of the dishwasher, despite the existence of a paid machine at the ground floor

Review 113:Cleanliness Location, 10 min walking to down town. Value for money Very well equipped kitchen, needs only a small washing machine.

Review 114:Wifi service is poor- no service in rooms and very limited seating in the entry hall where it works. This is really important to modern travelers. I understand it may be difficult to provide in the rooms, but at least provide seating in the hall. Salt & pepper, oil and vinegar in the kitchenette would be good. It's a real irritation to have to buy it at every location is you are travelling. Sofa bed is VERY uncomfortable to sit on- could add a couple of colourful cushions to cheer it up and make it a little more pleasant to sit on.

Review 115:Excellent location for travellers, straight across the road from the trains and local /regional buses, also easy to walk to the centre of town. Kitchenette is good. Air conditioning works well plus it's a treat to be able to open the windows too. Good bed Plenty of hot water for shower much appreciated. Staff at desk were very pleasant ( and multilingual too!!)

Review 116:Okay for 1 or 2 nights. Studios were small and drab. Lobby was lacking seats. Young men at reception in the evening were very helpful. Day time staff werw less helpful.

Review 117:Convenient to station.

Review 118:The headline sums it up. Our only issue was on arriving at 3.00pm (the stated check-in time) we had to wait until 4.30pm for our room to become available. Otherwise, very good indeed.

Review 119:Everything looks new. Good location, just opposite to the railway station and next to the highway. Ideal for a stop by. The city itself is not the target.

Review 120:Very comfortable and well equipped room. Room was so well soundproofed we did not realise we overlooked the main road until the morning when we opened the curtains. Friendly staff who spoke excellent English.

Review 121:It was a bit of a walk to the centre of town.

Review 122:It was a nice change from a hotel to have a kitchenette. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The parking was underground and very secure.

Review 123:Really easy to find, great location. Kitchen was useful and wifi was cheap. Cheap and easy to leave luggage at the hotel after check out which was really handy for a late flight.

Review 124:Found the aircon very difficult to work, and because of it's location next to the train station, having the windows open wasn't an option!

Review 125:Very clean and comfortable. Good parking for a small fee.

Review 126:sofa bed of poor quality, cleanliness average, breakfast expensive and no possibility of just a coffee. No parking.

Review 127:Convenient for a stop at night, close to the railway station.

Review 128:Very bleak reception area and extremely small rooms. WiFi passes for use in bedrooms have to be booked in advance, and there seem to be in short supply. Without a pass, you have to use the bleak reception area where there is very little seating, and all of it uncomfortable. Breakfast was very very basic - better to go to a local cafe.

Review 129:A very convenient location beside train and bus stations, and 10 minutes easy walk from the city centre. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Facilities are modest but nothing lacking, and the hotel was very clearn

Review 130:When I needed a power adapter for my laptop, the staff went out of their way to find one and simply lent it to me free of charge. They were very nice and helpful in general. The bedroom was nice, of a level with high quality hotels. The difference is, it is much cheaper.

Review 131:Don't bother with the breakfast room was full of used food, trays, plates etc, not much food left 1 hour before breakfast finished There was 1 lady there clearing up but she had an attitude problem and everything seemed to be an issue ie when we asked for plates or cutlery she was just muttering under her breath Appreciate it was a budget hotel but if they she'll you breakfast buffet that is what I would expect

Review 132:We had our own car with us so location was not an issue about 1 mile walk to centre Opposite the train station

Review 133:Room had an aroma of stale cigars Breakfast bar had run out of croissants (this is France-I expect better

Review 134:Location Staff Beds Underground secure parking

Review 135:The apartment was only cleaned once during a 10 day stay. Provision of clean towels, toilet paper and the like was dreadful.

Review 136:Self contained apartment was good.

Review 137:Nice staff, comfortable and very good price. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When I needed a power adapter, the hotel lent me one immediately.

Review 138:Wifi charge and reliability and air con

Review 139:The location near the train station was perfect for what we wanted to do. It is a bit of a walk into the city for dinner etc. they charge for wifi - and it is unreliable and difficult to use. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Comfortable beds. Air con kept going off overnight which made the room stuffy.
