Reviews for Moulin de Rosmadec
Review 1:No close parking facility. The access to the room (outside stairs and it was raining when we checked in) the room has no charm, smelled humidity, poor lighting,.tiny TV could not get some channels. Minimum amenities. The small bar is cosy however lighting should be reviewed as it is much too bright! Servers in the restaurant wears shoes which are very noisy on the old wood floor.
Review 2:The location, comfort of the bedding, the breakfast restaurant and the quality of the continental breakfast. Dinner: correct. Great desert menu.
Review 3:Staff did not speak one word of English. Nor in the restaurant. No one to pay or give the key too when I left. Left the key in the door!!
Review 4:Central location. Nice roomy room. Large bathroom with separate toilet. Restaurant first class.
Review 5:Dirty towels in the bedroom on arrival. Subsequent day did not receive correct number of clean towels or get toilet roll replenished. The shower was unusable whilst standing up due to low sloping ceiling. Also, impossible to clean teeth over sink due to low sloping ceiling.
Review 6:We had to plan our outings around the parking which has to be reversed out of through a narrow access point. In fact we scrapped our car. The access up wooden steps to the rooms had a sewage smell. The dinner and breakfast were over priced.
Review 7:The setting with a delightful garden beside the river in the centre of the village was beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view lacking only a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. We had a superb dinner in the restaurant one night. The breakfast was also very good. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Review 8:Backing the car out from the car parking area.
Review 9:The hotel and the view from the room was beautiful - and the village was lovely - a perfect place to mooch.
Review 10:The restaurant prices put off what would have surely been a good meal - we went elsewhere. Some (less expensive) smaller entrée size options a possible suggestion. Parking is non-existent, but our car was fine around the corner in the square, just had to make sure it was moved in the morning to avoid a fine. We didn't get to hear the river at night - the restaurant's bins were put out for collection under our window, and the stink meant we had to close our window tight.
Review 11:Beautiful view from our room over the Aven and its millstream, surrounded by a luxuriant garden. On a pleasantly warm night, we were looking forward to sleeping with the window open and listening to the water going on its way down the river. The ambience of the main office and restaurant certainly mirrored the feeling of this delightful town.
Review 12:Unfriendly welcome in the restaurant, initially we were ignored and then surveyed from head to toe by the maitre'd. Completely unsatisfactory! The food was disappointing for a michelin starred property and very overpriced. The fact that there was no name on my bill when I checked out, just a room number I think says it all. We were just another number to them.
Review 13:Nice dining room Nice view from the room
Review 14:The in house restaurant was very expensive, so we had to eat elsewhere, which was not our intention as we had arrived after a long journey and intended to stay in house for food.
Review 15:Room was comfortable and well appointed. Location was very centra in Pont Evan
Review 16:Restricted and limited parking. Breakfast very poor value.
Review 17:Location, overlooking the river. Beautiful meal - but at a 'star restaurant' price.
Review 18:Six months prior to our visit, I had booked a double room for my husband and me and a double room with an extra bed for my grown up children. When we arrived we were told that some other guests were staying on for an extra night, so no twin bedded room was available. The only compensation we were offered was not being charged the supplement for the extra bed! This is totally unacceptable, and I would not have booked to stay there had I known that a twin room was not available.
Review 19:This hotel is in a stunning location and the food was superb, in a lovely dining room overlooking the river.
Review 20:Parking is very tight. Customer Service was average.
Review 21:The room was clean, quite basic, fine for a night. The location is what gets it a higher rating. Bit like staying in a motel with a lovely view.
Review 22:Room was not good value for money. Comfortable bed but the room standard was very average.
Review 23:Location was good although very noisy owing to the river just outside our room .
Review 24:Excellent setting with good food and wine. Still visiting after 15years and cotinues to be run by the family.
Review 25:Parking for hotel is very poor and inconvenient Not suitable for guests with mobility problems
Review 26:Next to river in a lovely location
Review 27:Room is basic but comfortable
Review 28:Excellent location, beautiful old building. Unfortunately restaurant is closed on Sundays.
Review 29:Not really a hotel but a restaurant with rooms in an annex above a shop. Entrance up wooden exterior staircase behind the shop.
Review 30:The lovely setting in the centre of Pont Aven overlooking the river. Spacious modern room with good bathroom and comfortable large bed.
Review 31:Attitude of staff in restaurant while paying hotel bill, very cool and disinterested, particularly irritating as I was pointing out to them that they hadn't charged us for breakfast. Wouldn't stay there again.
Review 32:Location first class. Room modern and clean.
Review 33:Nothing! But the entrance is a bit hard to find: down a narrow laneclose to the bridge. (Tip: arrive early to mid-afternoon to be sure toget one of the four private parking spaces outside the Epicerie.)
Review 34:We loved the location in the centre of Pont-Aven, and the wonderfulsetting for both hostellerie and restaurant: dappled sun shone throughleafy trees in the warm sunny afternoon and next morning - and the noiseof rushing water was very pleasant - while the very effective doubleglazing meant the room was very quiet at night. The rooms are all alonga wooden walkway. Our room (#1 of 4) was at walkway level. It wasspacious with a big, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Service wasexcellent, including from the very helpful woman running the Epiceriewho welcomed us, checked us in and took our booking for the restaurant. Our restaurant meal was memorable. We chose the Menu Gourmand andenjoyed the variety of tasty, exquisite and beautifully presenteddishes, accompanied by a glass of Moet to start and Cotes du Rhonesubsequently. The service, provided by several wait staff, all female, was excellent and we were impressed to note that they included two youngtrainees who showed style and promise.
Review 35:no fixed shower over bath check-in & check-out staff a bit unfriendly
Review 36:food location
Review 37:Expensive and not so good Restaurant
Review 38:The room The village
