Reviews for B&B - Le Hameau d'Eguisheim

Review 1:A huge, modernly refurbished room in a beauiful old house which also hosts a winery. Superb bed, clean and modern bathroom, a simple elegant decor, huge tasty breakfasts with a selection of cheeses and meats. The house is a few meters away from the chateau and the main square. There is also a big terrace you could use in warmer weather. No parking but there is a public parking at the price of 3 euros per day just outside the old centre - 5 minutes walk max to the place. Excellent value for money.

Review 2:Could have used a few more surfaces /shelves in the bathroom to put stuff, but this is a niggle

Review 3:Super location right on the main street of beautiful Eguisheim

Review 4:We stayed at the cozy "Le Hameau" with our 4 years old daughter only for 1night. We had a great and quiet stay in a spacious triple room and the separate bedroom for the single bed was an appreciated surprise and added bonus. The historical building has been recently renovated with taste and is perfectly located. The check in/check-out was smooth and the staff is very friendly. After 7pm, access to the building is from a back door with a code, but no problem at all. Free WiFi connection was fine as was the included breakfast. We have been in Alsace many times and in Eguisheim as well. During Christmas market it's spectacular and it's quiet but fascinating the rest of the year. Would have stayed longer and will be back again.

Review 5:was just a bit impersonal and too hotel like (we love quaint homely b&bs and this wasn't one)

Review 6:Was a practical Place for us to stop Off between calais and northern Italy. We love the Alsace and eguisheim in particularly. This b&b is very clean worked well for our purpose. good breakfast

Review 7:I was lucky enough to be able to park at the b/b free of charge but only has room for 1/2 vehicles.otherwise you have to put your car in a pay car park 150 yards away.

Review 8:The b/b was excellant and the village was absolutely beautiful a lovely place to stay and visit, and the personel were most accomodating

Review 9:Curtains should be replaced. Not big enough for windows. Room very basic. They didn't pick up wet towels nor clean the room . Breakfast minimal. More interested in selling wine. Sorry we stayed there

Review 10:Our two rooms were located in a private alcove which was nice

Review 11:Our stay was more like a small hotel experience than a bed and breakfast experience. We would have enjoyed more interaction with the owner and other guests. We like to hear local recommendations from the owners and to share experiences with other travellers. This wasn't part of our experience.

Review 12:The location was excellent,- inside the pedestrianised zone. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bike rental and tourism office were right next door. Wifi was excellent.

Review 13:it was Friday night, in the middle of the night , around 2 am, a group of people were shouting for quite a period out of the house, that woke us up.....

Review 14:Everything inside the charming timberhouse , the room is spacious and clean, toilet is modern , wifi is fast, patio is a comfy chatting place, breakfast at the cellar is a lovely experience

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:- Very clean and comfortable room with everything you need - Spacious with a separate single room - Great shower - Good breakfast - Excellent location in Eguisheim, just opposite the TI

Review 17:Absolutely love this apartment and Eguisheim. Mathew and his family our very welcoming and their wine is delicious. Easy drive to supermarket and Colmar.

Review 18:first breakfast : everybody croissants, but we didn't get any; empty glas: lady forgot about the orange jus ( apparently); owner spends no time on guests. On leaving had to go after paying ourselves.

Review 19:very nice room in very nice wine village

Review 20:We can't think of any adverse comments to pass on.

Review 21:LE Hammeau is right in the centre of the town. It is spotless and impeccably maintained - well equipped with everything we needed. We could see three Storks nests right from the balcony outside our door.

Review 22:I loved my stay in Eguisheim and this B&B made it exceptional. The rooms are very spacious with a full kitchen and large separate bathroom. I also had my own little patio. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly - but not to the point that it becomes too much.

Review 23:Converted winery with lots of character and charm and practical, modern facilities. Cheerful, helpful and accommodating owners, family and staff. Enjoyable breakfasts included, when we stayed, fresh pressed grape juice. A bonus is the opportunity to taste the Gingliners' well crafted wines!

Review 24:The accommodation is only 2 years old so still seemed new. The room we had was generous in size and contains some lovely antique pieces. It is owned by Matthieu who is a wonderful host. He is a 12th generation winemaker and his wines are available for tasting. Matthieu provided us with some of his sparkling wine for New Years Eve, and also drove us to our train in Colmar when we found we couldn't obtain a taxi early on New Year's Day. The location is right in the old town opposite the tourist office. Loved it. Highly recommend.

Review 25:Close parking could be a problem in peak times.

Review 26:Wonderful town. Very clean and comfortable establishment - a real gem. Well worth a walk around the town in the morning.

Review 27:nothing

Review 28:Very clean and roomy compared to some of the other places we stayed. Very quiet and centrally located. Nice patio area to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.

Review 29:Difficult to find since there is no outside sign identifying the Hameau. It is really a "chambre d'hôtes", not a hotel

Review 30:The cleanliness and comfort of the room and the excellent breakfast.

Review 31:The stay was too short.

Review 32:We stayed for 4 nights at the end of September and greatly enjoyed every hour of it. The young couple who runs the hotel deserves a lot of respect and admiration. We had a spot-less, comfortable room with TV and other necessary amenities. The breakfasts were delicious and various. The house and the breakfast room were very remarkable, spacious, old and picture-perfect. We had a delicious meal and fresh grape juice, good coffee, various meats, cheeses and sweets. The guys were very attentive to our needs and preferences, The lady of the house gave us a parting present- a bottle of the excellent house wine. We did not bring it home. We like the wine as soon as we opened and tasted it. Believe me it was sooooo good. The town was nice and had a lot of beautiful sites. We appreciated valuable advice what to see which the lady gave us. In conclusion, it is a very good place to stay. And no one asked us to write this review. It is our pleasure to do so.

Review 33:The staff were very friendly. The room was fab, lovely and modern, bed linen seemed almost brand new, room very bright, great size, large bathroom with wonderful shower. Even a real hairdryer and straightener in the bathroom! Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely return.
