Review 2:Great owners, good location and modern bathroom ensuite. Fantastic lunch inclusive of wine.

Review 3:As they have a lot of English guests we were suprised the TV had no English channels. Other wise very good indeed.

Review 4:Central spot, very welcoming.could park our car. Super en suite.comfortable bed, ever so clean throughout.

Review 5:Pity the otel restaurant was closed when I was there as it looked proimising.

Review 6:Friendly staff who looked after my needs as a solo cyclist. Very central location-(cyclists be careful on the steep cobbled road). Excellent value for money

Review 7:Unable to check in until 1800h on Sunday as reception not open until then This did create a problem as it was raining and we arrived early in Morlaix on our cycles

Review 8:Excellent location Short walk to town and restaurants Friendly helpful staff especially regarding storage of our cycles!

Review 9:We were on cycling trip and had four bicycles. The hotel staff were very accommodating and allowed us to keep our bicycles safe inside the hotel. Very friendly staff.

Review 10:Check-in period a bit brief (2 hours). Breakfast a little expensive.

Review 11:Staff accommodating when we arrived late. Hotel very central. Helped us with parking.

Review 12:The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. For example we were given an excellent recommendation for a seafood meal, our bikes were safely and conveniently stored and, in the morning, my friend was given a bucket of warm water to clean our bikes. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 13:very friendley and helpfull owners. Rooms are good value for money and hotel located only a very short distance from morlaix town center. It is very convenient for Saturday market and close to some excellent restaurants.

Review 14:Reception hours rather limited but I did visit in the off-season.

Review 15:Location practically under the viaduct was intriguing. Room was newly renovated and lovely.

Review 16:There nothing not to like. Everything was as or better than expected.

Review 17:Very genial proprietor. Historic location. Fine architecture and buildings. Nothing was too much trouble.

Review 18:The road outside is narrow and steep but traffic passes fast and creates a lot of unecessary noise. We found we had to take extra care when moving and loading our bicycles.

Review 19:The owner was clearly a good manager as keeping old buildings like St Melaine fresh and clean is often difficult. A lthough I like to speak French the owners English was excellent so we could joke about politics.

Review 20:Nothing....it was memorable for all the right reasons .

Review 21:My husband and myself spent one night at Hotel Saint Melanie. The couple running the hotel were friendly so helpful and almost felt like family when we left .We were leaving mid afternoon the next day and helpfully kept our bags safely, booked us a taxi and were keenly interested in us enjoying our stay in Morlaix.

Review 22:I payed 55 euros for a single room without shower (shower was in the corridor), breakfast excluded!

Review 23:staff was extremely friendly and helpful location in the city centre was convenient, the room was comfortable.

Review 24:Booked it based on the rave reviews about the bar, restaurant and staff but all the facilities were closed due to it being a bank holiday. Felt like we were intruding on the owners day off. If I had known this I would have booked an alternative hotel.

Review 25:Good location with comfortable rooms. Very quiet. Free off street parking outside the hotel.

Review 26:Very friendly hosts, comfortable room with excellent en suite. Quiet area, less than 5 minutes walk from centre.

Review 43:the advert extolled the virtues of the restaurant and I had hoped to have tried this... but it was closed. understanding the situation of the owners, I hope to return to have lunch some time :)

Review 44:Welcome by hosts despite the slight confusion as to dates. I had tried to book directly to be told there was 1 room available but to share a bathroom which was not acceptable. I then booked via Booking.com to find an ensuite room which was comfortable. When I saw the view from the room which was directly below the viaduct.. I thought...oh, dear, no sleep tonight! even though I appreciated Catherine's offer of: " if you need anything, just shout out of the garden window" ...

Review 45:Lovely stay at this hotel which is located right in the centre of Morlaix. The restaurant is not open at the weekend but there are plenty of others on the same street.

Review 46:Could not get into the room until 6pm on the day of arrival - it was a wet and windy day, we were soaked by the time we could get into the room for a shower. There were no staff on the premises at all times and I had forgotten my hairdryer and there was nobody to request one from when I needed it

Review 47:Freedom to come and go as you pleased once you had been the given the access code and key Staff, when available were very helpful with maps and directions and train times

Review 48:Fruit quality on the market (& shops) wasn't up to the usual standard. Mainly veg on market & less fruit.

Review 49:The bus services. The river is a short walk away from the Hotel. I liked the fact that Hotel Saint Melaine is an old building containing some period-looking furniture.

Review 50:The breakfast offerings could be improved.

Review 51:Lovely room, tastefully decorated, clean and proper. The owner is a wonderful source of historical insights into the city and the place.
