Reviews for Appart-République
Review 1:Internet was poor, bed sheets and towels had a very stale smell. I arrived late and there were no basics in the apt (bottled water etc).
Review 2:Location was good
Review 3:Weekend nights are very noisy in the square -- yelling and banging until 5 a.m.
Review 4:Space, comfort, balcony, short walk to old town markets, cafes, Castillet. Parking is expensive but very convenient.
Review 5:Bulbs need replacing in a number of lights and the toaster was broken. Could do with providing a hairdryer. Front door to apartment block didn't shut properly.
Review 6:Great location. Good apartment.
Review 7:No tea towels provided and the square was noisy on the weekend. The front door was never locked.
Review 8:Location was fabulous close to everything to see & do
Review 9:A lift would probably be a good improvement as lugging luggage to the second floor was quite a task.
Review 10:The apartment is very conveniently located on the Place de la Republique in the heart of 'old' Perpignan and makes for easy access to the vibrant surroundings and facilities. It has all the amenities required for a short-term or long-term stay.
Review 11:We did not notice in the booking that there was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up 6 stories. Our own fault. Parking expensive under the plaza
Review 12:Great location, super nice manager, nice terrasse, overview of the square.
Review 13:The Kitchen has a refrigerator with a microwave on top and a very old two ring electric hot plate on top of that. Cooking would be a balancing act. Only two wine glasses and two cups no drinking glasses. Three very worn out towels for 2 days. Windows faced an apartment building . I could borrow the salt and pepper from my neighbours kitchen table! Stores on the ground floor open around 06:30 noisy. Lots of steep stairs with automatic light sensors which don't always work until your halfway down stairs in pitch black.
Review 14:Location was great. You can walk to everything worth seeing in Perpignan. Room was spacious. Shower worked well. Lots of cafes -restaurants nearby. Monopris department store is a block away has a large grocery store in the basement.
Review 15:No shade on the sun teracce! There should at least be an umbrella. Furnitures on the terrace are worn down.
Review 16:Wifi working perfectly. Supermarkets and shops nearby. Own sun-terrace
Review 17:Micro wave stand was greasy . Dirty sponge at sink. No instruction manuals for electrical appliances. No sky T.V.
Review 18:Central location In lovely city of Perpignon
Review 19:The spiral stairway and stone floor we felt was dangerous for children and the elderly the lighting was inadequate no light above the door so you had to go up or down to trigger the beam.Medication had been left in the bedside cupboard from ? Previous holiday lets The flex on the electric appliance was damaged ? Unsafe hence the poor score
Review 20:This is not a complaint because we were aware that our apartment was situated on the top floor....but the stairs would not suit all people. There is a Sky box with no availability.
Review 21:Well equipped and comfortable situated on Place Republique in the heart of Perpignan old town.
Review 22:Access by car difficult through a maze of one way streets. Parking at Place du Republique close but expensive.
Review 23:Comfortable apartment in an interesting building, well located for the city centre. Close to cafe's, bars and restaurants.
Review 24:Lack of table for meals Chopping board Tea towel and dish wash detergent Confine space for use of hotplates
Review 25:Location Comfort of bed Shower Would stay again Staff friendly and very helpful
Review 26:Husband found it noisy at night but I did not mind the buzz. The double glazed doors don't lock.
Review 27:Outlook for people watching. Cafes, bars, shops and sightseeing all on doorstep. Friendly folk and super food and drink. Market right outside on Saturday. Airport only 15 mins perfect for short break.
Review 28:bed was uncomfortable and creaky poor location as local chavs hanging around in local square, bars and kebab shop surrounded by ghetto
Review 29:interior decor
Review 30:Bar across the ginnel open from 9am to 2am and very noisy. When that shuts at 2am, butcher next door opens up at 3.30am then street cleaners start at 5am so no chance of a good night's sleep. Bathroom very small.
Review 31:Clean and tidy.
Review 32:Nothing!
Review 33:Location - very central Our roof top terrace - great way to relax after busy day of sightseeing! Benjamin, who met us when we arrived, was very welcoming and helpful.
Review 34:- No parking in surrounding street. Pay parking only which cost around 15 euros for 9 hours.- No lift. So difficult with childs if the apprt is at 6th floor.
Review 35:Price/Quality
Review 36:I was foolish enough to hide 250 Euros in the apartment (after a fewglasses of vino!) and then forget about them when we checked-out. Themanager/owner was kind enough to find my money and meet us with itlater the same day; legend of a man!
Review 37:We stayed on a Thursday evening and we were lucky to be able to enjoy the Jeudi festivities from the comfort of the balconies in our apartment. At night the shutters made sure the noise was blocked out so we had a good night sleep too! Excellent facilities and great location in Perpignan.
Review 38:We found it quite hard to locate the parking but once we did, found it to be right under our front door which was great.
Review 39:The location is fantastic - you won't get more central yet once you close the shutters, it is very quiet. The views onto the square (carrousel, market, cafes) are terrific. The air-conditioning was essential at night and worked well. The apartment manager was great and called us about an item we had left.
Review 40:noise of air-conditioning unit apartment is small for 4 people for any stay longer than a couple of nights
Review 41:excellent location Mr Benjamin was extremely helpful and courteous
Review 42:The floor, as with everywhere we have stayed this holiday, could have been cleaner.
Review 43:Location was great - central but not noisy, close to supermarkets, a traiteur & a wine shop downstairs, and also several nice restaurants. Very tastefully decorated. Everything worked. Parking is extra but right below the square.
Review 44:On the night we stayed there was a lot of noise from the street below resulting in poorsleep despite the very comfortable beds
Review 45:Mr benjamin is a gentleman and was very accomodating
Review 46:It was a little hard to find, but on the Place look for a blue sign right on top of the door, don't look up too high!
Review 47:Perfect location. The apartment is very comfortable, with a kitchen and a modern bathroom. We felt safe to walk out at night and the market with fresh fruits and vegetables was right downstairs. Great view on place de la Republique.
Review 48:Our taxi took us to the Place de la Republique but when we wanted to leave, it was hard to get a taxi to come there because of all the very narrow streets. So we walked to the nearest taxi rank pulling our cases. This was the only small disadvantage.
Review 49:The apartment was right on the square which was a hive of activity! It was comfortable and air conditioned. It suited us brilliantly.
Review 50:See lift and noise comments. Also, not necessarily a criticism but worth noting in advance that there is no reception so have mobile numbers, co-ordinates handy in case of problems on arrival. The manager was pleasant and helpful when I finally met him. In sum, as stated opposite, a good place to stay.
Review 51:Well appointed and clean apartment, centrally located for transport, restaurants/cafes, shops and museums/galleries. All necessary facilities in the flat though given steep staircase the lack of a lift made getting to the 3rd floor with luggage a challenge. As other reviewers have noted there is a very noisy late night bar in a nearby side street but use of air plugs prevented loss of sleep. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and would use it again.
Review 52:Friendly staff and a good hotel which can be recommended.
Review 53:Very central Super
Review 54:The people who ran this apartment are friendly and professional. Everything about the Apartment is perfect :-)
Review 55:the noise from outside very late at night.
Review 56:I liked the location very much and it is very well decorated and well equipped.
Review 57:Trying to arrange an extra nights stay was difficult due to language barriers. Room a little dated
Review 58:Easy self check in.
Review 59:The location was spot on and the apartment was spacious and very clean.
Review 60:The stairs
Review 61:Location view of square boqueria tapas restaurant just outside door comfortable good views in front apartment
Review 62:Location and facilities.
Review 63:very noisy neighborhood, very noisy a/c system.
Review 64:central location
Review 65:Very noisy people above us
Review 66:Would have liked a plug for the sink and a tea towel. How can we wash up properly? Bath Towels were worn and old
Review 67:No lift. Poor wifi. Very small apartment. Not very private.
Review 68:Good location
Review 69:No cleaning service. Apartment is very noisy.
Review 70:Apartment was clean and spacious. Bed and sofa-bed very confortable. Right in the centre of town
Review 71:great location close to all attractions
Review 72:Loved the location, shower, and quality of the furnishings. Also - a nice touch- loved the wine in the fridge!
Review 73:Excellent location, lovely apartment and Benjamin the owner is very helpful.
Review 74:My wife did not like the stairs to 4th floor
Review 75:It was so central for shopping eating and sight seeing great value
Review 76:Hotel near main shopping areas
Review 77:Great location overlooking main square in Perpignan. Clean and modern apartment. Prompt email communication with the manager and able to gain access to the apartment early which was a real benefit. Thoroughly recommended and will stay again.
Review 78:The apartments have no parking and therefore the undergound parking can be very expensive unless the owner organisers a better price when staying a few nights otherwise you park 5mins walk away where it's cheaper. No lift so might be harder for other people who struggle with stairs.
Review 79:We didn't Speak any French but bejiman the owner could speak little English and was at our beck and call when we required anything and provided plenty of local information. For the price of the apartments they were quite spacious, had simple but nice decor, modern bathroom and having a sink and microwave was very handy specially travelling with a 2yr old. The location is very central we felt we really got to experience the culture and we loved the local farmerarkets out the front of the apartments every morning. Great shopping in the lanes located right behind the apartments. Will stay again next year!
Review 80:Hairdryer would be useful
Review 81:Location excellent and very comfortable and clean. Private roof terrace overlooking the square was a bonus for Apt No 8 (top floor) We stayed Fri and Sat evening and heard no noise from surrounding cafes / bars
Review 82:Very very loud at night in summer, youth burn up the town nightlong
Review 83:Everything was fine, good location, four stops on bus from train station or about 20 mins foot therefor you are in the very center.
Review 84:It was a bit noisy the first couple of nights mainly because it is in such a central location. Not much anyone can do about that!
Review 85:Liked the central location and the view onto the Place de la Republique. It was very modern and comfortable.
Review 86:difficult to get to and had to wheel baggage some distance. very loud, drunk people partying at 3am in the morning in the square below
Review 87:Right in the heart of town
Review 88:Quite difficult to navigate to property. Expensive parking although very convenient. Was Easter, but aprtment looked out on to a street that was used by many very noisy people well in to the early morning. TV and wifi did not work.
Review 89:In the centre of the old town. Comfy bed. Good shower.
Review 90:Very nice location and the apartment was clean and looked smart. Staff were also friendly . If I'm ever back in Perpignan I would like to stay there
Review 91:Parking underground is expensive and you have quite a walk ahead if you want to park somewhere affordable.
Review 92:It's town centre location and the manager was extremely helpful, polite and friendly.
Review 93:1) Although there is nothing you can do about it, we would be cautious in recommending it because of the loud yelling in the streets a 3 and 4 AM in the morning, which kept us awake. (Was this drunks coming home from the bars?) 2) Although I had no problem with there not being an elevator (only time it was not convenient was at the beginning and end of the stay with our baggage), it bothered one of our traveling companions.
Review 94:Manager was excellent. Location was perfect for us (near cathedral). Facilites were very good.
Review 95:The wifi coverage was not very good in some parts of the apartment; there was no desk, which made it uncomfortable to work.
Review 96:Very nice private apartment in the middle of the city centre
Review 97:While the double glazing and shutters cut out most of the noise from the square, on warmer weekend nights there was still a lot of hubbub floating up into the early hours.
Review 98:Great location at a good price and nice to be in the heart of things.
Review 99:It was a bit cold in the evenings, and very noisy at night during the weekend.I would have liked blinds to shut out the bright lamps in the square. We didn't realise that there were shutters on the outside until the end.
Review 100:the appartment was lovely,as was the location.
Review 101:The dirty mattress protector. The leak in the bathroom. The balcony doors that opened in the middle of the night. The lack of instructions for the aircon/heater. Generally the lack of information and there was no one there to ask.
Review 102:The position
Review 103:Nothing - but tricky to find when there's a van parked across the door. A rollaway bed would have been good but the booking was clear that this wasn't available
Review 104:Marie and her husband couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Rooms were comfy and spacious with a fab shower. Very good value.
Review 105:Eight flights of stairs with no lift but helped walk off dinner..... if you are staying more than one night and you don't like stairs, make sure you are on the lower floors.
Review 106:Warm welcome, lovely rooms right in the centre of the city. Public underground parking opposite, everything on your doorstep. Clean and modern.
Review 107:There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this place.
Review 108:Outstanding location. Nowhere was out-with a short pedestrian friendly walk, and the views from the roof terrace were fantastic -- a great place to relax with a glass of wine.
Review 109:It was difficult to locate late at night...best to arrive during daylight hours.
Review 110:Excellent central location. fresh food markets at your doorfront every day. cafes galore.
Review 111:The air conditioning unit was noisy at times.
Review 112:This is a spacious well equipped apartment in a great location close to centre of perpignan.
Review 113:Wifi was extremely poor. I would expect an excellent quality for the price paid.
Review 114:The position and quality of furnishings were very good.
Review 115:Outside noise, car park expensive,
Review 116:Great location, well appointed.modern facilities.
Review 117:Central location, very friendly welcome.
Review 118:It was close to everything, especially where we needed to be. You don't have to take a key with you, it's secure.
Review 119:Fantastic location
