Reviews for Pension San Vicente
Review 1:Hard to say anything bad at all!
Review 2:The location is perfect. There is a kitchen which guests can use. We love having separate pillows too, instead of one long "sausage" pillow!
Review 3:great position in an intimate small spanish plaza surrounded by charming oldee worldee houses, pension san vicente oozes with character and our studio was just a delight 'muy romantica' also fantastic position for walking into town or exploring the gothic quarter and many beautiful churches, i real find, Laura and the team were superb.
Review 4:Laura from the Hotel was exceptional and even came looking for us in the Street when we got lost on the way to the hotel. Cannot complement her enough.
Review 5:Parking is iffy if you want to stay close to the hotel. Streets are VERY narrow - smaller car is better. No TV in the rooms
Review 6:Manager is excellent. Very helpful. Easy walk to many things. Room was large and clean and great value for the money.
Review 7:Nothing, maybe bed was a little hard, but when we mentioned this at the end of week, told if we had asked we could have had a mattress topper, just goes to show, never hurts to ask.
Review 8:What a find, I am very reluctant to say too many good things about this pension for fear of it being constantly full. Seriously, fantastic accommodation, Laura was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even when on one occasion she stopped cooking her dinner jumped in our car took us to where we wanted to go and then walked home, such commitment is rare. The Pension, ideally placed, spotlessly clean, gorgeous sun terrace and really just a part of real Spain. Lucky enough to even have a fiesta in the square immediately outside of pension
Review 9:laura was so friendly and helpful.location perfect for exploring the old town.the room was spacious and charming.the roof terrace was a lovely bonus as was our own kitchen facilities.the entrance hall was large, cool and an imposing first impression.
Review 10:The house was lovely and in an excellent location in the heart of the old town. The apartment was homely - not in any way modern but we felt at home immediately. Everything you could wish for had been catered for plus a warm welcome and friendly advice. The roof terrace is absolutely delightful. Can thoroughly recommend.
Review 11:The position is good no hills to clime,we know joe&Tina as its our4th visit they are both really helpful and Laura their manager is equally as good.
Review 12:Everything about the San Vicente was excellent but in particular the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Joe and Christina, and the manager Laura. They couldn't do enough for us and we feel that we have made new friends. We will certainly visit again.
Review 13:I was impessed with little things like olive oil and even a basket of oranges which I had for breakfast. The staff were particularly helpful and friiendly.
Review 14:When we arrived we had a wonderful welcome from Laura who showed us to our comfortable room. We made good use of the sunny terrace for eating our breakfast and picnic lunches and the shared kitchen facilities were very useful.
Review 15:The pension is in a good location in the old town, long but possible walk to the beach, approx 2,5 km away, the beach is immense with fabulous dunes,Oliva is a quiet place, not for people who like nightlife, lots of local traditions, processions etc
Review 16:Recently returned from a house-hunting trip, having based myself at this nice guest house in Oliva. Perfect location in town, being close to both the old and new town, in a pleasant square, with parking nearby. Cheery host Laura was lovely, friendly and welcoming, offering lots of thoughtful tips of where to go etc. My room was fairly basic but very clean and comfy. The roof terrace and kitchen upstairs were a great touch. So much to explore in Oliva and the surrounding area! Would definitely book again. Great value :)
Review 17:Bit cold in winter. Tried to get the aircon up to match it, but it failed really. Oliva does have very narrow streets like many such towns. That restricts where the cars can stay to a few specific squares and the big car park some way away if pulling heavy cases.
Review 18:If you need to stay in Oliva it's probably in the best bit among the historic townhouses but on the lower slopes. Very friendly staff with good English. Small - just the 5 rooms.
Review 19:No negativities
Review 20:On my arrival I was greeted by a very professional warm member of staff.Laura was the person and from the time I arrived until I left this person could not have been more helpful. The venue itself was my best experience of this type of accommodation in Spain-A beautiful old style Spanish town house facade ,Spanish style interior.very clean and tidy in every respect. It only has two studio suites and three twin rooms which meant there was no sense of it being two busy or noisy it is situated in a square in the old part of Olivia, very charming. However one of the best surprises was an upstairs kitchen area which tea bags coffee microwave washing machine and a roof terrace with table chairs sun loungers and a line to hang out washed clothes.I have not encountered this level of conveniences elsewhere ever.Wonderful as a tea lover not to have to leave the venue to get that all important cup of tea in the morning?Had I known I would not have taken the amount of clothing etc that I did.Highly recommended and not forgetting Cristina the proprieter who has managed to give Pension San Vincent a real homely feel.Cheers Patrick
Review 21:The towels was like trying to dry oneself with a rug, it was so rough. We couldn't get any response when we first arrive, we weren't even early. There we no tea & coffee facilities in the room, especially as the owners are English. Poor facilties. As we've stayed in many hotels in Spain, and have had better facilities.
Review 22:Friendly and knowledgeable owner Clean and comfortable room Quiet plaza Grocery store and friendly bar in plaza Near the center of town Free WiFi
Review 23:It wasn't a dislike for me, because I have been to Oliva before to visit family so was aware of the parking and know my way around, but newcomers might get thrown by having to cruise around the narrow streets to find a space. They may need to remember ¿dónde está la Plaça de ganguis por favor? afer parking up
Review 24:Handy to turn right for the shops and the old town left for the Pelut for a meal and a few caña's. Beautiful immaculate property, friendly approachable proprieters. The complete package, complete with snoozing cat on the roof terrace. You won't go wrong booking a room here
Review 25:nothing much to not like either does what is says on the tin
Review 26:the price and the access, nothing great to like, the location is fine if you are househunting or looking for a loing term rental property in the area, the neighbours friendly, this is a working area of Oliva so you get to meet the locals at their work, the people in the little cafe in the square are very nice and decent food was available whenever we went in, and that was usually late on in the evening around 9pm.for a last drink and a coffee
Review 27:Difficult to not like anything. Perhaps a slightly bigger fridge for guests who don't have their own kitchens to store cold items, but I still managed nonetheless.
Review 28:Tina & Joe very welcoming and have great knowledge of the local and surrounding areas so able to make useful suggestions of places to visit etc. Lots of lovely nearly empty beaches within 45 mins walking distance or a 5 minute bus ride. The room was basic but very comfortable and quiet. A lovely rooftop terrace and a fridge stocked with cold drinks if you wanted one. Since my last trip to Oliva there are also more places offering vegetarian choices. Bar Placebo on the Terra nova beach was fantastic. For me the cat was an extra bonus, She was gorgeous.
Review 29:Good location, good size apartment with kitchen, great roof terrace, comfortable bed, good size bathroom and shower. Christina and John could not have been more helpful....a great place to stay!
Review 30:Its a bit noisy at night when you have the window open, you can hear people in the other rooms
Review 31:It's very well located for historic area of town, with several bars near by and only a 10 min stroll to the central paseo, and there's a lovely old friendly cat. The rooftop patio is also a nice place to relax, with beer and soft drinks in the fridge, which was a nice touch
Review 32:Nothing to dislike
Review 33:Very friendly and helpful owners. Room was excellent with kitchen facilities and cleaned every day. Roof top great to chill out or sunbathe. Lovely location.
Review 34:Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely rooftop with pergola and fairy lights.
Review 35:Laura is excellent and very helpful. Easy walk to bars, cafes and shops. Room very clean and great value for the money.
Review 36:No kettle in the room to make a drink and having to go upstairs to make a drink and carrying them back to the room
Review 37:Location Freedom to come and go
Review 38:Despite arriving really late, the concierge text us to ensure we were safe and left clear instructions on where keys could be found and room located.
Review 39:Noise level at night , no sound barriers
Review 40:Location and use of washing machine
Review 41:Parking close by was very restricted. But there was a public car park 5 mins away.
