Reviews for Hôtel Restaurant À la ville de Nancy
Review 1:Since it was low season, there was a note on the door to call the staff upon arrival. It was cold and we had problems making the call, fortunatelly other gests arrived a bit later and could telephone the staff.
Review 2:The room was really large and had even 3 beds, only the bathroom has been added under the inclined roof, it is not suitable for tall guests - even for my 1.75 m it required some gym! but everything was extremely clean
Review 3:Though we were staying the one night of the week when they are closed (at least the restaurant) it was very easy to contact the tenants who rapidly came and showed us our rooms: in an annex situated in an old house on the City walls. The city is very small and circular - easy to visit. Breakfast in the morning was on time as requested and quite opulent.
Review 4:Nothing
Review 5:We stayed in the annex of the main hotel, just one street below and the room was very clean and comfortable. Everything looked brand new. Eguisheim is the most beautiful quaint little town with very friendly people. So glad we stayed here!
Review 6:One minor downside is that although they have wifi in the main restaurant building there isn't any in the separate bedroom accommodation.
Review 7:The evening meal was excellent - I chose from the fixed price 23.80 Euros menu and had a starter of wild boar terrine, followed by a main course of sanglier (boar) with spaetzle and veg, and dessert of apple pie. A 0.5 litre pichet (carafe) of red wine was 6.90 Euros. Altogether an excellent meal.
Review 8:My boyfriend found many hairs in the bed, the blanket was obviously used often without cleaning. separate beds are not our favorite. Big suggestion to the staff: please provide some soap, shampoo, bath gel, etc... Especially in the rooms with the bath; Guests like me wihout a bath at home don't carry around bath gel. Also a little coffee/tea maker on the room would be nice and is almost standard in the most basic hotels now a days.
Review 9:Price and location. The restaurant was nice, one the cheapest in town, with delicious local food.
Review 10:Not manned, phone number on the restaurant door for Hotel, or come back when it opens. No wifi in the rooms but readily available in the restaurant. Owner a teeny bit abrupt but helpful nonetheless.
Review 11:The location of the rooms is down a narrow alleyway, right in the heart of the village. Atmospheric and peaceful. Basic room but crisp, clean bed linen.
Review 12:Shower flooded bathroom and in danger of flooding bedroom so v wet bath mats to mop it up.. Staircase tiled, so tended to be disturbed by other guests as they came and went without moderating their voices which echoed on the hard surfaces..
Review 13:Fantastic location. Pretty street, good beds, good size room - excellent value, lovely view from window. Parking nearby easy. Lovely simple hotel. Would return
Review 14:No wifi but for a location like that...you don't need it
Review 15:Très propre et sympathique
Review 16:It was a heat wave so the room was rather warm!
Review 17:Great location and easy parking
Review 18:Close to centre of beautiful French village
Review 19:Lacked internet access in the room
Review 20:Loveliest of the Alcace villages below Colmar
Review 21:Not much space for parking near the hotel.
Review 22:Good meal at a reasonable price. Lovely village.
Review 23:there was no wifi at the room
Review 24:Helpful staff, lots of character, clean rooms, and a charming town.
Review 25:Staff not particularly friendly or welcoming - just did the minimum required.
Review 26:Great location at the edge of the old village, good value for money.
Review 27:Small room, which we expected given the price. No internet in room BUT was provided free of charge in the restaurant
Review 28:Lovely staff,great location,quiet room, Excellent value
Review 29:It is not necessarily a negative but it is just simple. Don't expect anything fancy. It was actually one of the things I liked about the place.
Review 30:This hotel was a great find in Eguisheim. It was in a quiet, beautiful street just around the corner from the restaurant that is marked on the map. The rooms are basic but reasonable for the price. There was one staff member who spoke English in the Restaurant and she was very helpful. We booked it knowing there was no wifi, however this was available for free in the restaurant. We did not have breakfast but dinner was very nice and reasonably priced. Everything is within walking distance and becasue it is located nearer to the outside of the village, it is easy to get a park and walk into the hotel.
Review 31:Very expensive restaurant, although not more than the other restaurants in the area, and the food was nothing special
Review 32:It is located very close to the restaurant, in a very nice small street. The building is typical of the style of the area and the room although small it was really warm and cosy.
Review 33:Booking.com need to emphasise that the actual accommodation isn't within the inn and is situated in a separate building away from the inn.
Review 34:Pretty village. Good continental breakfast on offer in main accommodation.
Review 35:hotel don't have parking ,there aren't many public parking places, from parking you need to bring luggage on stone road & go up with it on stares without lift. Sraff isn't very friendly. There isn't supermarket or makolet in the vilage
Review 36:It is good location for trip on wine road
Review 37:Parking may be difficult. The only option is public on the street. Check in is after 17.30 a clock!!!
Review 38:Location by very charming narrow street close to many restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also good.
Review 39:You can't check in to the hotel until the associated restaurant opens, which was at 5:30 pm on the day I visited. In my single room there was a lack of available and accessible electricity outlets. There was no nightstand next to the bed, so I used a nearby chair. I could hear conversation in the adjacent room, so the walls seemed to be thin. I assumed there was no wifi available (but I didn't confirm that for a fact).
Review 40:The hotel is actually on a quaint, narrow street about 50m meters from the restaurant where you check in. Parking is on the nearby public spaces - I had no difficulty finding a space within about 100m but at busy times it could be more difficult. The room had a nice, tiled floor. Overall, this was a good, basic room in a quaint location for a good price.
Review 41:very small room, wifi is not available, poor soundproofing
Review 42:good location
Review 43:The rooms were in a separate building to the reception, in a different street!
Review 44:The anbience
Review 45:We could find no Internet anywhere in the village
Review 46:Good location
Review 47:low ceiling in a bathroom
Review 48:superb location, beautiful house, nicely furnished, clean
Review 49:We were put in a guesthouse around the block from the building picturedon the web site.
Review 50:Shower door leaked.
Review 51:Bright and very clean, quiet, warm (especially as outside it was freezing), large sized room recently decorated.
Review 52:very small rooms in an annex, not part of the hotel - should have been told before
Review 53:nice people, good food, interesting old city
Review 54:Cheap hotel and unfriendly staff. The food, service, and general attitude was bad.
