Reviews for Auberge des Trois Châteaux

Review 1:Wifi sometimes difficult to use. Advertised as parking available but there was none and had to park in the town parking station which is €3 a day and a 5 minute walk away. However this was explained to me as being due to security requirements in the town centre after the recent Paris attacks.

Review 2:Lovely little hotel, we went for the xmas markets and they were right opposite the hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.

Review 3:We always worried whether we'd find some place to park near the church since the hotel doesn't have its own lot.

Review 4:The owner, Isabelle, couldn't have been more helpful. What a delight. So willing to help us with getting places, things to see. Delicious breakfast with marvelous pastries. Just wish we could have gotten in for dinner.

Review 5:Was turned away at 2:50 p.m. bags in hand for arriving "too early". Reservation stated 2:00 p.m. Owner insisted 3:00 p.m. Had to lug bags back to car as "onsite parking" was also not available. The saccharine sweet voice did not disguise her poor treatment of weary travelers.

Review 6:In the heart of Eguisheim. Good WiFi signal in room 2, if that is important to you.

Review 7:GPS couldn't find it as street numbers aren't in order. But a call to the hotel and we were there in minutes. Sadly booked the only two nights there when the restaurant was closed (Tuesday and Wednesday). No lift.

Review 8:Staff fabulous! Very centrally located in small, quaint town in Alsace. Great value. Free parking close by. Can't wait to visit again when the restaurant is open.

Review 9:Fabulous location in centre, with private parking for car. Very comfortable, spacious room with nice bathroom. Big tower fan kept room nice and cool during summer heatwave. Lovely, generous breakfast, with an English information video of Egguisheim playing. Very friendly receptionist.

Review 10:Staff were not entirely forthcoming when we needed a taxi to the airport, to help find a restaurant that might be open or recommend a good one (many, if open - and many weren't, were overly expensive - felt a bit 'tourist trappy'). Lady could have advised us it was a good idea to book restaurant in hotel when we arrived as most places in town were shut and also ask us if we wanted breakfast as it finished early.

Review 11:Price of room was very reasonable. Pretty restaurant, but as we said we couldn't get in as it was either full or not open.

Review 12:There were no electrical outlets in the bathroom, and only one outlet in the bedroom. I had to rig up two extension cords to reach from my CPAP to the outlet. My wife had to sit in the bedroom to use her hair curler, where there was no mirror. The electrical system needs desperately to be upgraded and additional outlets installed.

Review 13:We had room number 1, which had windows overlooking the street. We also had a nice view of nesting storks on the church roof.

Review 14:Only one person can access free wifi with the phone. It was very inconvenient.

Review 15:There was flower hanging outside the window. Beautiful views. Located at center of the town. Very convenient.

Review 16:very nice Auberge right in the middle of Eguisheim with very friendly hosts. We enjoyed having a great dinner and knowing that the beds were just upstairs. Also the breakfast is very recommendable.

Review 17:Parking was a challenge and some distance from the hotel.

Review 18:A wonderful stay! Great location and charming place. Loved the view fronting the street and breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean and up-to-date; bed was quite comfortable.

Review 19:The breakfast, which is optional, was at best average.

Review 20:Location was great. The room had everything you need. The bathroom was fabulous. The highlight of our stay was dinner at their restaurant. Probably the best meal we had in France.

Review 21:nothing

Review 22:What a fantastic place to stay the owner was so friendly and helpful we were given the best room in the hotel as it was our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was traditional stone walls cosy and romantic. Our evening meal was traditional for the Alsace home cooked and excellent. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this hotel and the beautiful town. Thank you for looking after us.

Review 23:Wi-fi reception a bit slow and patchy.

Review 24:Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Friendly helpful and welcoming hosts. Right in town but quiet at night. Nice restaurant attached.

Review 25:The parking was not as described. It is a public parking area opposite the hotel which is only available from 7pm till 9am (then 20 mins free). After 9.20am the car has to be moved to a larger car park at the edge of the village. The restaurant food was not very good. No lift and no offer of help with luggage.

Review 26:The staff, the central location, the room and view.

Review 27:Wish breakfast had been included in the rate. We just had to pop across the street to the boulangerie for our croissants though

Review 28:The location was right in the center, with a view of the church with its storks on the roof. Easy walking to the ramparts street circling the town, wine tasting and restaurants. Everything worked in the room!

Review 29:location are best. We can see town piazza just from our room.

Review 30:Very comfortable room in a lovely town. Great location. Very friendly and welcoming reception.

Review 31:Location of Property and the friendliness of staff

Review 32:Though free WiFi, due to VERY slow connection useless

Review 33:Wonderful location

Review 34:Fantastic location in middle of Eguisheim - very spontaneous and friendly host - good resto in the auberge - value for money

Review 35:Only stayed three nights!

Review 36:Staff,breakfast,location all good!

Review 37:Very friendly hotel, made us feel welcome straight away.

Review 38:Nothing specific to dislike, only a double bed was in fact two single beds put together.

Review 39:Centre of the town, everything close, restaurant on site.

Review 40:All Location Services Facilities Breakfast Especially Buth tub with

Review 41:poor wifi other romms not seem quite big only france and german tv canals on tv

Review 42:room Nr 2 is very big clean staff

Review 43:Fantastic small boutique hotel, the owner very helpful and friendly. Despite a hit night we were provided with a fan. Hotel right in the centre of the village. Dined at hotel restaurant absolutely beautiful! Definitely recommend stayed here on the way to Chamonix from Luxembourg.

Review 44:No complaints

Review 45:Location, quiet, excellent value, FANTASTIC restaurant, we ate there for dinner and lunch. It received a one spoon rating on the Michelin guide which I thought was stingy.

Review 46:A great small hotel, very modern in an historic building and central location. Wish we had had time to try the restaurant. We noticed it was packed and looked wonderful.

Review 47:All good. There was no air con but a large tower fan was thoughtfully provided to counter the summer heat wave.

Review 48:A warm welcome, excellent central location, historic building recently renovated - this is a great small hotel. Best of all is the restaurant - do eat here too!

Review 49:The hotell hotel had the best possible location. From the window i our room ( room 21) we'd a wounderful viwe over the church with the amazing stork's.

Review 50:Absolutely nothing.

Review 51:The hotel is situated right in the middle of this wonderful, mediaeval village and everything one needs is right outside the door. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in every way. We didn't eat in the recommended restaurant only because we didn't have the time. The double room was bright and airy. Parking was only a short block away. Excellent value for money!

Review 52:Rooms are quite small (ours was No.4). Walls are very thin, speech etc is quite audible between rooms, and if you are above the restaurant as we were, you hear quite a lot. It closes early (11pm) so isn't a major issue.

Review 53:Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location in the historic centre. Large bathroom. The brioche served at breakfast was delicious (even though we felt at €8 per person, breakfast wasn't great value). Wifi works well. They say it only works in public areas, but we had a good connection in our room.

Review 54:Warm welcome, excellent staff, lovely meal, very good room, amazing surroundings!

Review 55:Excellent restaurant Hepfulness to find a doctor

Review 56:Staff was extremely helpful and nice. The location was perfect. Food at the restaurant was delicious.
