Reviews for Hôtel De L'Europe
Review 1:I have stayed there a number of times now - I am renovating a property in France - and, as ever, the room was nice - well appointed with a balcony and an extremely comfortable bed. The pillows (and I am fussy about pillows!!) are lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean with a bath as well as a shower. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. I really like this hotel
Review 2:It's right in the middle of the nicest part of Morlaix and near everything you might want to do in the town. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a really nice hotel
Review 3:Breakfasts were extremely limited to my wife who has a gluten intolerance.
Review 4:On arrival the room booked was not to our liking and it was not an issue to change to room more to our liking.
Review 5:The hotel looks tidy from the outside photos and the pictures of theinside however once you get past the ground floor it was a differentstory.it felt quite run down and the staircase looked like you weretaking your life into your own hands !! ( to clarify it was fine) itseemed rather expensive when compared to british prices - for less pricewould get a decent premier inn type accommodation.
Review 6:The hotel was ideally situated for a overnight stop from roscoff beforetravelling further south. The night porter was very helpful allowing usto store our surfboards in the loby overnight.the room we stayed in wasfine although bathroom needs some improvement.water pressure was verypoor - no shower.
Review 7:My father complained that the single room he was in very small. Our room was fine, but the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.
Review 8:Nice location, friendly staff
Review 9:Several in our group of 12 cyclists could use wi-fi in their bedrooms, but it didn't reach bedroom 102 which is situated at the back of the hotel along an additional corridor - annoying! A lot of the bedrooms have been nicely updated, so hope this room will be done soon as the bathroom is a little tired. The toilet is in a separate tiny cubicle off the main bedroom, with no handwash basin. It could easily be incorporated into the main bathroom. ALSO!!! - no curtain in the bathroom (only nets), so you couldn't shower in the evening when you would need to put the light on, because anyone in the building opposite would get a full view through the very large window!
Review 10:Really comfy bed and an excellent spread for breakfast. Good wi-fi in the reception area. BBC World News channel available - so nice to have at least one english speaking channel to watch at the end of the day! Smack bang in the middle of town - with shops, bars, restaurants and touristy bits right outside the door. Interesting old building. Have stayed here 3 or 4 times over the last 10 years and most bedrooms seem to have been refurbished in that time.
Review 11:I had very few problems. I wasn't around very long but I didn't have any major problems.
Review 12:The hotel has some wonderfully unique and delightful decor. It feels both comfortable and historic.
Review 13:Staff are excellent in this beautiful hotel in the center of fabulous Morlaix. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here completed by a hearty breakfast with lots choice
Review 14:We took a "budget room" which turned out to be really tiny, but for one night it was perfectly ok.
Review 15:Location perfect for exploring the city, parking amenities quite close and not expensive, athmosphere in hotes quite nice. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 16:Tried to charge me for breakfast even though I had paid for it through a group booking.
Review 17:Hotel kindly allowed cycles to be stored safely in their basement overnight
Review 18:I asked for a bath but was told I would need to pay an extra 10€ for this. I wasn't prepared to pay this so had to have a shower. It would have been good to have a parking pass with the hotel's name on it to put into our windscreen as we were told we could leave our car parked outside the hotel but I was nervous about this and worried that we might get towed away in the night.
Review 19:Good facilities within walking distance of a good restaurant
Review 20:No ventilation in bedroom. French window opened but further gass outside was fixed, Somewhat gloomy decor.
Review 21:Central position, lift, adequate breakfast, Good building, lift. Morlaix itself is all round the hotel with historic buildings, market etc,
Review 22:Room was very hot & looked onto a internal courtyard with noisy extractor fan, though it was only on for a few hours in the evening.
Review 23:Newly decorated stylish room.Very comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Good central location.
Review 24:The room was no more than a box containing a bed with just enough floor space to walk round. (We were asked at reception if we knew the room we had booked was small but for a one night stay didn't want to pay the expense of an upgrade so declined). To our surprise there were no in room facilities for tea / coffee which for a 3 star Hotel seemed somewhat poor. The actual bill was more than the original offer price (allowing for local tax) - which is a matter that I will take up with Booking.com.
Review 25:Superb central location in the town of Morlaix which is well worth a visit particularly on market day (Saturday) when it becomes alive. Staff were polite and the premises was clean.
Review 26:The rooms are really really small, claustrophobic and dirty: we found curly pubic hair from the previous guests in the shower. There was no toilet paper, only napkins. The building is old, smells bad and is full of flies and mosquitoes.
Review 27:Nothing at all to complain about
Review 28:First class service from start to finish, especially from Florence on reception. The hotel has charm and is in excellent location. Love the welcome extended to our little dog Lola.
Review 29:Compared to USA price of rom to comparable room much too high.
Review 30:Was first given room where window could not be opened. Staff more than willing to move us up one floor to room where window could be opened. Staff friendly & helpful with advice we neded. Great location to everything.
Review 31:Very hot night and hotel did not have fans available.
Review 32:Location is excellent. Staff were great and very helpful setting aside a safe space inside the hotel for us to store our bikes overnight. Free Wi-Fi brill. Thanks
Review 33:The room, 353, although called Classic, which seems to translate as basic, should really be a single room. There was barely room to move around the bed. I mentioned this to the girl at reception when paying and she dismissed me by saying.. c'était une chambre classique. No apology or acceptance that I had a valid point. This size room would not be approved for two people in a hotel in my country. It is down a narrow corridor and I would hate to think what would happen if there was an emergency evacuation. I did not feel safe in that situation. The wifi did not work.
Review 34:It was central and accommodating of bicycles.
Review 35:very helpful staff centrally located in the town
Review 36:no shower hanger
Review 37:Noisy location. Surly receptionist on arrival ( not all of the staff). Needs a thorough clean and paint.
Review 38:Breakfast
Review 39:Central location meant it was very noisy through the night. Parking was away from hotel in public area
Review 40:Large room and bath

Review 60:Showers, comfy bed, location, breakfast.
Review 61:We could store our bikes safely in the foyer.
Review 62:A bit hard to find
Review 63:French style with secure parking
Review 64:When we visited the hotel rooms were being refurbished which meant that we were shunted off to the fourth floor with no lift from third floor up ! The room was small and tired, needing a retrofit. We stayed for 2 nights and on the morning of leaving to Paris by train we ordered a taxi through the man on reception. The taxi never arrived and consequently we had to pay € 40 to change our tickets and wait 4 hours for the next train !
Review 65:The position is good in the centre of Morlaix
Review 66:Over priced considering the outdated décor, no tea or coffee facilities in the room, staff were a bit unhelpful.
Review 67:Clean comfortable beds, good bar and restaurant at the hotel, excellent central location, clean.
Review 68:We used this hotel as our first overnight stay on a cycle touring holiday. Storage for our bikes was provided and the receptionist researched on the internet to locate the starting place in the town of the cycle route. A comfortable night's sleep and excellent breakfast buffet meant a good start to our holiday.
Review 69:No tea/coffee making available in the room. Décor a little dated.
Review 70:Spacious room, comfortable beds. Free Wi-Fi. Ideally placed in centre of Morlaix.
Review 71:The bath room was mouldy, some lights didn't work. Room wasn't ready when arrived. Room was extemely basic with no air.
Review 72:The evening receptionist was a true delight. Welcomed us and our children and could do enough to help. The location was very central and prefect.
Review 73:Very run down and in need of complete renovation; quite noisy at night with no air-con and windows open
Review 74:In the middle of town close to all interesting features; we liked the old wood carvings in the public areas of the hotel
Review 75:The balcony door squeaked when opening or closing, so difficult toadjust at night. Considering the space in the bathroom, felt the showercould have been more generous. Small points!
Review 76:The room - the space in the room itself and the bathroom.
Review 77:No coffee or tea making facilities in the room or hairdryer.
Review 78:The Hotel is convenient located within Morlaix. The Hotel staff were very polite and spoke good English.
Review 79:The bathroom - seemed "unfinished". The toilet system was verynoisy - we had to keep adjusting the water entry valve. Towel rails inthe wrong position and no hand rails in the bath/shower, also, ashelf would be useful.
Review 80:The Staff. The bed was comfortable and the room warm.
Review 81:Central hotel, excellent staff and very comfortable.
Review 82:The breakfast was average at best.
Review 83:All the above and the lovely old world atmosphere.

Review 97:no shower curtain on the bath or had rail.
Review 98:It is central, clean, staff are friendly and helpful, second time staying with you.
