Reviews for Hôtel Du Port
Review 1:Friendly staff, good location with view of port.Good buffet breakfast. Hands-on proprietor took trouble to inform us of Brittany Ferries cancellations just announced.Didn't effect us - but good hotel practice.
Review 2:It's a very steep trek with many stairs from the train station - take the bus if it's running.
Review 3:It's an OK place in a nice quiet spot. I have stayed here twice.
Review 4:It is only a short distance from the station "as the crow flies" but for those of us with legs and heavy cases it is a long walk along steep streets or a very steep climb with many many steps - and don't rely on the bus as it often doesn't run, especially on weekends.
Review 5:Clean, quiet at night, warm and close to the centre of town - I will stay there again.
Review 6:Great location by the port and an easy walk into town. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Internet was good. Breakfast was adequate. It is a perfect 2 star hotel.
Review 7:No lift if carrying heavy bags (all rooms on upper floors). Decoration and finishes of corridors and bedrooms a little tired.
Review 8:Located a short walk from centre of Morlaix for shopping and restaurants. Free public car parking adjacent. All rooms ensuite with shower or bath. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Cycle storage available.
Review 9:The only thing that could have made it better would have been to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in your own room.
Review 10:Great location overlooking the river and walking distance to shops, restaurants, bus stop, railway station and the very quaint old town. Free wifi. Very helpful and friendly staff. We followed two walking trails around the old town which were wonderful. The brochure on these was available at the hotel as was a good map of the town. I would definitely recommend this hotel and this town, we spent a very lovely three days / four nights here.
Review 11:Thin walls/bad insulation, can be noisy with some neighbours.
Review 12:Room looked fresh with cozy warm yellow walls. Birds singing outside. Not too far to walk from/to train station.
Review 13:We stayed here before crossing back to England on the Roscoff ferry and I cannot praise the hotel highly enough. We had a lovely family room in the eaves of the hotel, with a travel cot for the baby and a comfortable single bed for our older daughter. The room was pretty, with a lovely en-suite bathroom and welcoming décor. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean & tidy with good facilities. The location was lovely too. We could walk into the town for dinner and park literally across the street from the hotel. Our daughters enjoyed looking at the boats, ducks and geese on the water. The staff were lovely too, relaxed and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 14:Lovely hotel for the money, very clean and comfortable. Good location, near restaurants and shops and of course the market. Had a room overlooking the harbour perfect!
Review 15:poorly finished chipboard shutters instead of curtains.
Review 16:good bathroom and shower very good breakfast comfortable bed, quite a long way from good restaurants.friendly and efficient staff.
Review 17:It was a very average experience room was on the top floor - no tea or coffee facilities - disappointing. would not recommend this place to anybody. Better than camping because it is indoors.
Review 18:The hotel didn't have a car park, with only street parking available. it was often difficult to park anywhere near the hotel.
Review 19:Comfortable bed, good sized room. Helpful receptionist.
Review 20:the shower was very small, which did not bother a tiny person, but difficult for bigger built persons. quite cold and no heating in late May. view of fire escape area
Review 21:good breakfast, pleasant staff clean room
Review 22:Nothing to complain about for us, we considered the hotel value for money.
Review 23:Genuinely helpful staff, clean and well kept though a little worn. A typical travelers hotel. The area felt safe and the hotel seemed secure with keypad entry and attentive reception staff.
Review 24:Parking seemed a bit of a lottery as it was on street, but actually we managed to get a space within 100 yards every time during our 5 day stay. Big car park within a few minutes walk anyway. Breakfast a little expensive at 9 euros, but nearest cafe was a fair trek away, so it was worth having.
Review 25:Quiet hotel, very friendly owners, good wifi.
Review 26:Nothing.
Review 27:Morlaix is a very beautiful city. The port, the Viaduct and the old section all make for interesting sights. Take the walking tour. The hotel is beautiful. The building old and full of character.

Review 31:We had a room overlooking the river and also the road. The sound proofing was superb, didn't hear a thing. Excellent welcome, easy parking outside on the road and a good location. Plenty of Eating places/ bars in the immediate area. Good continental breakfast available if you want it.
Review 32:A little far from station at the top of a hill but there is a bus. You just need to know which number you need.

Review 35:Staff friendly and helpful. Room well presented and clean. Excellent bed, very comfy. Quiet room at the rear of hotel. Proximity to town good. Restaurant "le Viaduc" brilliant and only 5 mins walk. 25 mins to ferry by decent roads.
Review 36:No Air Con - If it did this would be a "perfect" hotel. Why don't hotels with no air con rent out fans? Facing front of hotel so couldn't open windows
Review 37:Location Staff very helpful and friendly Good Breakfast Quiet room even though it was facing the front of the hotel because of "double" set of windows.

Review 107:Reasonable hotel for the cost, good position near town, parking opposite and lots of parking nearby, handy if for short stay
Review 108:slightly noisy from passing traffic up until midnight, but this might be worse for us as we live in a very quiet area.
Review 109:very friendly hotel we don't speak French so they tried their best to speak English for us, very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was lovely. would defiantly stay there again
Review 110:It is in a fairly quiet location with free on street parking outside, but you may have to park a little way from the hotel which we didn't find a problem. The rooms are ok, maybe a little tired and ours had a secondary window that wouldn't close properly but didn't cause us any problems.
Review 111:Room was small, didn't like blankets on bed (don't all hotels have duvets, now) or the brown bedspread! Dark corridors, rooms not very soundproof. Wouldn't stay there again.

Review 113:- friendly and convenient to Roscoff for ferry port. - welcoming - excellent breakfast - although we had a room facing the street, the excellent double glazing meant a good night's sleep
