Reviews for Chalet Fleur des Alpes
Review 1:Swimming pool closing at 7pm.
Review 2:Well equipped & spacious apartment with lovely views in a quiet location near to town. Very welcoming staff at the chalet & also at The hotel when we went for a swim.
Review 3:Communication was difficult due to the fact that nobody could speak English, but we managed with a few basic hand gestures etc. The bath was rather small, with hand held shower and no screen, which resulted in the bathroom being "flooded" after each bath. I was also surprised that they only took cash, no cards, what so ever. This might be worth mentioning when booking
Review 4:Nice location and friendly staff
Review 5:Only small negative was that the WiFistruggled with connections when the chalet was full, speed was fine just WiFi connection was intermittent. Space would be cramped with 9 people but worked well with 6.
Review 6:Nice chalet. The location was good with a short walk to the shops and lifts. Storage for bikes was not advertised but had plenty spaceto lock them up.
Review 7:More soft furnishings in the lounge or at least another sofa. There were not enough places for the four of us to sit together.
Review 8:Everything was great for us we only had one recommendation: an additional sofa in the lounge
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:Everything was great. The owner allowed us to have a late check-out because there was no booking the day of our departure. This was really appreciated!
Review 11:No bad experience. It was at the cheaper end of the market and as such was good value for money
Review 12:Apartment was well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable. For a group of friends who were not looking for 5 star accommodation it was perfect.
Review 13:The chalet was superbly equipped and had very nice decor throughout. Great view of slopes and overall excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again... Bit of a walk into village about 10mins but nice and quiet as a result.
Review 14:no curtain in the bathroom
Review 15:It's realy nice place to stay for skiing. House is cozy and living room is spacious. Bus stop is very close. WiFi worked propely.
Review 16:Nothing bad to say about this place
Review 17:Very comfortable and private apartment in the chalet. Located in a nice quiet area just a 10min walk out of the town so great for a getaway when you don't want to be surrounded by the crowds. Being able to use the spa & pool facility at the Alpina was a big plus
Review 18:Great place to stay Very spacious We travelled with our two dogs which were welcomed warmly. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again
Review 19:The way up in the middle of the night with no railing or little forensic tape with a height of almost 1000m height. Also the communication with people although Mrs Coppel went overboard to have help us out when we needed.
Review 20:The fresh healthy air, the different smells of the trees mingled with the smell of the wood. What was missing only the smow to make the whole scenario perfect.
Review 21:This is the second time staying here. A peaceful setting with amazing views and all of the towns facilities are within easy reach. Well equipped kitchen and the lovely to have the opportunity to use the hotel Alpina's pool .
Review 22:As it was outside of the ski season many of the shops and restaurants were not open in Les Gets and the surrounding towns. Most shops which were open were closed for lunch and would close early in the evening. There was a bank holiday on the day we arrived so we had to drive miles to find a shop open where we could buy food and many of the shelves were already empty.
Review 23:The chalet has beautiful views and we found lovely places to walk. It is in a very quiet location. We were there to attend a wedding and spend time meeting with family so were not concerned with having lots of leisure facilities or local attractions. We did make use of the facilities at Hotel Alpina which added to the enjoyment of our stay. We had enough rooms for everyone to have their own room and there was plenty of space in the communal areas.
Review 24:Fabulous holiday, fantastic biking, we will return
Review 25:Loads of room. Great views. Great for young kids. Green space outside for kids to run around. Beds comfortable. Cool during the heatwave.
Review 26:Lovely views, ski bus stops right outside, great value.
Review 27:Very nice place, and very nice owner
Review 28:Location as a summer base in Les Gets perfect - high quality accomodation
Review 29:The resort is closed by end April, only 2 restaurants open in whole resort and on Monday 1 only. In addition cinema and supermarket closed so a bit desolate. Enjoyed a long weekend but any longer it would be annoying. A cafetiere would be useful as no filters for old coffee machine and dishwasher tablets, especially as supermarket closed!
Review 30:The out of town location suited me and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable with great views, spa facilities were a real bonus as the weather at the end April was poor; although Hotel Alpina was closed they gave us access to spa at d'Adelphine apartments which was superb.
Review 31:Landlady was a little angry about noise, only one shelf in the oven makes cooking more challenging
Review 32:Good location just a 15 minute walk from the first ski lift and shops and bars in town, much more space than we were expecting.
Review 33:Great views, brilliant shower and bath after a day on the piste. Easy 20 minute walk into central les gets and ski bus stop on the door step. Very sociable kitchen dining area
Review 34:Only one bedroom (with very smalldouble bed and one single) and a highly uncomfortable sofabed in sitting room (which kept us awake all night). Apartment is definitely not appropriate for 5 adults as advertised.
Review 35:Gorgeous setting and wonderful views across the valley to the slopes.
Review 36:No one there when we arrived although we gave our arrival time. Attitudes seem a bit too relaxed. WiFi intermittent did not work first day.
Review 37:Location and easy access
Review 38:This is only a 8 person apartment if you are one family. Otherwise the room configuration is difficult to operate 3 3 and sofa bed in lounge.
Review 39:Agreement with local hotel to use their swimming pool.
Review 40:Number one thing that we didn't like was the noise in the rooms during the nights; for an unknown reason, the pipes were making an extremely unpleasant noise every night as of 10 pm. Second was the temperature in the rooms - which was too low for our taste (the administrator has shown us that the scale was at 22 degrees, but I am not sure that was working as it never showed any other temperature at any moment of the day). Our impression was that in the evenings we had about 18 degrees rather... Last thing that was a bit annoying was the distance from the city center - quite far away, acceptable during the day but a challenge during the evenings - especially for the children. So either we had to take the car to go out for dinner (not too convenient as most parking places were taken), or we had dinner inside the room.
Review 41:The apartment we had was very spacious for 4 people; kitchen was very well equipped and unlike other places, the beds were large and comfortable. Additionally the view was excellent - from our rooms we could see the mountain and the slopes and they did look lovely especially during the sunny days. Also the location was good for skiers; despite the fact that it was far away from the city center where the ski lift was, there was a bus station 2 minutes away (only downside was the frequency of the bus - only 2 times an hour).
Review 42:Not enough kitchen storage space Only one sofa, so not as comfortable asit could be No dvd player and tv only gets French channels
Review 43:Spacious for 4 adults, sleeps 6 Free WiFi Ski bus stop very convenient
Review 44:Nothing not to like about it.....other than no English channel on thetv!
Review 45:Excellent location 10 min walk in to centre of Les Gets or free ski busstops right outside. Spacious compared to a lot of French skiappartments and good parking faciliies if you drive out. Fantastic viewsand on the sunny side of the valley. Great location.
Review 46:Great location, good size
Review 47:Everything was PERFECT! We want to come back at least for a week.
Review 48:Having to pay extra for linen and cleaning
Review 49:Comfortable, modern and clean
Review 50:Could have done with another soft chair to sit on.
Review 51:we stayed over a weekend, with our kids ()9,7,5+baby it was great! loved the facility loved the hospitality will come back
Review 52:I booked this as an overnight hotel, which it wasn't. Had to make my own bed; no tea/coffee or soap/shampoo.
Review 53:Great view
Review 54:All Good
Review 55:Location
Review 56:large comfortable accomodation easily found by car late at night good value
Review 57:Too far away from the ski slopes and the lady who runs the chalet comes round and demands cash
Review 58:Nice clean rooms.
Review 59:Very cozy and spacious house, friendly staff. The village with stores is in walking distance.
