Reviews for La Ferme du Pape Hostellerie
Review 1:The bedroom gets a little to hot, but you can always open a window to cool it down. Better that than too cold.
Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff, with good food available. The rooms are very clean and there is a charming atmosphere there.
Review 3:We had to tell the receptionist about the dreadful shower in room 212. An electric light is next to the shower head (!) and you can't actually get under the flow of water due to its positioning to avoid the electric light.
Review 4:The location is fantastic and the staff, particularly in restaurant, were very friendly.
Review 5:We wére awakened by other guests It seems there was little insulation from noise from other rooms and corridor. Also plumbing noises from other guests' rooms.
Review 6:Convenient location. Mighty room soacious bathroom
Review 7:The hotel is next to a giant wine producers factory that at this time of year(the end of September) is starting to ferment vast amounts of grape juice into wine, and not to put to finer point on it it makes the whole area stink. Although good, breakfast is expensive.
Review 8:The Hotel is large and is in the Village. It was next door to another hotel that has one of the best restaurants in town. The wi fi was very good. All the staff where helpful and friendly.
Review 9:Stayed 2 nights in Sept. Excellent location, spacious room with a large modern bathroom , very good food, secure private car park and the staff were particularly helpful. What more could you ask for?
Review 10:Our dinner experience in the dining room left something to be desired. The food was very good but one meal was served after the other three where almost finished and two items were entirely forgotten.
Review 11:Attractively decorated, comfortable room in a charming village and located conveniently to Colmar and other wine route villages. Nice breakfast buffet.
Review 12:Very hot, dark room. There was no air con and the fan provided was noisy and ineffective. Our room was on the ground floor and there were people eating just outside in the courtyard so we were unable to keep the door open for air flow.
Review 13:Beautiful location. Very spacious room. Food was also very nice. Lovely waitress called Mariyna who was helpful and efficient but other staff were not as good. Safe parking on sight.
Review 14:Could not find an indoor restaurant without a reservation (wasps were plentiful whenever food or drinks arrived at outdoor tables.
Review 15:Wonderful location. rooms were set back from the road so there was limited tourist and traffic noise.
Review 16:The receptionist wasn't very attentive, but we still got great help eventually.
Review 17:We were very positively surprised when we arrived, since the hotel had air condition, which we didn't think when we booked. The hotel is perfectly situated in Eigesheim, a wonderful quite city. The family room was spatious, clean and light on the top floor. No fridge, but we got to borrow the hotels for some stuff.
Review 18:The outside areas e.g the garden seem neglected, having broken furniture. The gravel path makes the rolling of suitcases from the car park very difficult. The one sofa on the terrace had not been touched by the cleaners & had the same foliage on it for 2 days
Review 19:The car park is spacious and safe. The staff are all very friendly & some spoke yo us in English. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning is a welcome addition.
Review 20:The bathroom was spleat in 2. One space only the wc without air and very difficult to brith. The cleaning was not the very best. Maybe they need to get their attention to this and softer matrice.
Review 21:Very nice place and staff. Very rich breakfast.
Review 22:The Hotel was easy to find and in a good location with private and secure parking. The rooms were small but the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom adequate. The best recommendation for this hotel is the food. The breakfast was amazing with everything available. The evening meals were also excellent.
Review 23:The breakfast was left uncovered with lots of flies buzzing around, the back garden area was littered with broken furniture, old carpets etc. Slow drainage from the shower.
Review 24:Staff were friendly, the parking is free and the location is great.
Review 25:The hotel is situated in a pretty village with sufficient amenities, within easy access of other attractions in the area. A copy of local walks is available from the tourist information office, they are well signposted. The staff could not have been more helpful. Meals in the restaurant were delightful.
Review 26:Only little niggle was that the room was a bit dark. One of the light bulbs wasn't working in a lamp and there were no overhead lights.
Review 27:The location is great, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is amazing.
Review 28:The dining area and terrace of the hotel was lovely, as was the location.
Review 29:The wifi connection was not very good, and the headrest of the bed was very hard.
Review 30:there was no place to hang the shower nozzle. But that maybe it's supposed to just be used by hand. No real problem.
Review 31:The accommodation was great and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good and well prepared. The secure parking is a bonus saves taking everything to your room. We have stayed before and found it good here every time.
Review 32:the breakfast, although enough and various, the french bread was uneatable (like chewing gum), and the menus were not applicable for little changes, otherwise the kitchen could be better for the price
Review 33:the room was excellent, a good comfort of the bed, this was very good, the
Review 34:The room was airless with almost no natural light. No fan supplied this time but they have been in other rooms in which I stayed on previous visits. There was a table lamp with apparently no place to plug it in. There is no place near the wash hand basin on which one can put toiletries. The modernisation of this hotel had been very low budget & wouldn't want more than a one night stop here.
Review 35:Location & secure car park. Spacious bathroom
Review 36:Old room, could have been cleaner, wish the service was kinder. For having two small children it was very loud, the restaurant was right below our room and surprisingly our kids were not the loud ones. The restaurant had spiderwebs. Not so friendly servers. Pricey. . . we had even just spent a week in Paris and this was more expensive.
Review 37:Location is great, right at the edge of the center of the town. Nice breakfast.
Review 38:Pretty hotel, close to centre of the fabulous little town, Egusheim. Breakfast is optional extra, so you are not compelled to have it, which is great. And our room actually had a BATH. Wonderful. So rare not to only get a shower. Bliss.
Review 39:It was really hot at nights which made it harder to sleep well. A fan was provided and we used it to try and cool the room before going to bed but turned it off at bedtime as we don't like the noise of the fan being on during the night. Our room had only one tiny window we could open to let air in. But we accept there's probably not a lot the hotel can do about this problem!
Review 40:Rooms well set up and pleasant. Nice to have the restaurant on site. The breakfast, for which we paid extra, was really good. Staff tried to accommodate our need to communicate in English with a pleasant attitude towards us- had a very negative experience in this regard elsewhere in the village.
Review 41:We had stayed at this hotel twice before the last time some 12 years previously.Good secure parking, and a good restaurant.Room suitable for disabled access.
Review 42:The rooms had no airco, so they were a bit warm at this time of the year.
Review 43:The hotel lays right at the edge of the beautiful town centre. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. And we had tasty meals for lunch and dinner at the restaurant.
Review 44:Excellent restaurant (for dinner) Location close to centre of the small town Air conditioning in room Wifi worked faultlessly Ease of parking Helpful staff with good English (and German) Very attractive town with many small wineries
Review 45:We were disappointed with the food at the restaurant. It was a bit overpriced, too. We recommend eating out.
Review 46:Very nice big garden in the back. Great location.
Review 47:Service in restaurant outside was terrible. It is a lovely outdoor courtyard with tables and chairs. After waiting 25mins for service, we eventually went inside and asked someone to come out and take our orders. We watched this several times - whenever a guest wanted to place an order they had to go inside and ask for service....It really let down the hotel!!!
Review 48:Location was good, rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Bed was really comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 49:Great location wi secure car park and lovely dinner.
Review 50:Location perfect Car parking on premises. Very friendly staff.
Review 51:L'insonorisation de la chambre
Review 52:La situation idéale à l'entrée du village

Review 54:The staff, the restaurant, the location
Review 55:Excellent location with secure and easy parking, friendly staff, very good food
Review 56:Friendly staff
Review 57:Staff were very helpful. Location is superb.
Review 58:. Very strange bathtub/no shower curtain. You couldnt have a shower getting water all over the floor.
Review 59:Perfect location as a start for the Alsace Wine Route since the town has plenty of wine cellars. Great breakfast buffet.
Review 60:Nothing
Review 61:Location, staff and facility
Review 62:I loved the location, the decor, the food and staff

Review 67:Good Location, good secure parking
Review 68:Friendly staff, Good parking facilities despite central location.
Review 69:Very nice stay, friendly staff. Good food in restaurant.
Review 70:Great food and delightful service
Review 71:Staff preoccupied, couldn't get a coffee after 10am, no bar area, room temp difficult to maintain
Review 72:The Beer
Review 73:Nice hotel in a typical alsatian town , we had a HUGE bedroom. The food was excellent for a very fair price. Friendly staff. Free parking.
Review 74:The bed was a bit too soft.
Review 75:Good location for an overnight stop heading to the Jungfrau ski area. Nice meal in the restaurant. Good place to buy wine.
Review 76:Nothing was terrific
Review 77:The room very comfy and staff excellent.
Review 78:Great Location Clean, Comfortable, Charming Good restaurant Friendly staff Great Parking Good Connectivity
Review 79:good location and nice staff
Review 80:No wifi in the rooms.
Review 81:Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Good value for the area. Located in the heart of wine country!
Review 82:It was too hot inside the rooms.
Review 83:The breakfast and the staff.
Review 84:Room very stuffy even with window open. Shower facility awkward.
Review 85:Easy access to the village. Plentiful breakfast, Friendly staff.
Review 86:Unable to get Wifi access
Review 87:Very nice location, nice service and food, very friendly people
Review 88:Comfortable with excellent location in easy walking distance fr the historic town centre. Restaurant was excellent with lovely outdoor area.
Review 89:The wifi was sporadic in the room and the room was not special, with a tiny window - acceptable since it was the last room in a 96% sold out location
Review 90:The location is fantastic and the restaurant excellent. There were lovely cherry trees out in the back where one could sit and enjoy some of the wine bought in the village.
Review 91:There was no insulation between our room and the room above us. We could hear every footstep and every time the toilet flushed.
Review 92:The personnel were very nice and helpful. The location was fine with secure parking around the corner. The room was fine on the parking lot side, since it was quieter there. However, see next comment.....
Review 93:Breakfast while expensive was very large. Local cafes had simplecroissant and tea for 3 to 4 Euros
Review 94:Location was exceptional. It is in the heart of Eguisheim and close tomost of Alsace; esp Colmar. Room was good size and bathroom was verylarge. Dinner was excellent and reasonable priced. Breakfast was greatbut expensive at 11 Euros each. Staff very helpful; spoke English well.
Review 95:First of all, our room was really small. Since it was located at the attic, with a large bed in the middle it was really uncomfortable to watch your head all the time as you try to move in the little free space. The breakfast was disappointing for us - one could say there were lots of things that had been served there, but since we arrived half an hour before the time the breakfast was served till, there were just leftovers of few things and the staff refilled only very selected products so we had pretty much no choice what to eat, and the experience of relaxed breakfast was ruined by trying to find what was still available there on the table that we would like to eat... We didn't know that we need the code for opening the gate of the parking lot when we were leaving so one had to run back to reception to get it.
Review 96:The room fulfilled its basic requirements - was clean, pretty, and the bed was comfortable. The access to a large closed parking area was definitely a plus. The dinner was good, with an excellent waiting service and great local wine.
Review 97:I would never have never checked if I do not handle friend. Just watch, twin room has only 10 m2, and therefore we pay more and take 3-bed for two persons = 20 m2 and great!
Review 98:Amazing location in the heart of town! Everywhere just good wine and excellent wine ... Super parking, wifi, great breakfast including sausage tasting and morning champagne to kick the blood.
Review 99:Service in restaurant wasn't very good.
Review 100:Beautiful setting and very clean. All the employees were exceptionally nice. Very good food. Wait staff was very friendly but the service wasn't great. Expensive breakfast. Beautiful town to stay in. Will go back.
Review 101:This Hotel is on the edge of a very pretty old town which is very easy to walk into. There is secure free parking, a good restaurant and the rooms on the top floor although small do have proper showers.
Review 102:Wardrobe too small Tablet missing in the shower
Review 103:Very friendly people Superb food Excellent wine Always someone to help you Lovely village, with Xmas markets all over
Review 104:The room was in the attic and I knocked my head against the wall various times.
Review 105:The room had a special atmosphere, is a romantic place to spend vacation. Beautiful town, amazing. The staff very nice, we ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good.
Review 106:Slight niggle in that restaurant staff trying to prepare our table for breakfast whilst we were finishing our meal!
Review 107:Small, lovely hotel in a very quaint village. Decor in keeping with the location. Reception staff helpful and made a point of ensuring my dietary needs were met. Food excellent.
Review 108:All was fine
Review 109:Hotel very comfortable and excellent friendly staff. Well furnished rooms. Good food and excellent location to visit the village and surrounding area
Review 110:The room was not clean, There was a tangle of wires coming out of various sockets and one half of the bed was broken. There was a constant noise of appliances whirring through the night emanating from somewhere below our room.
Review 111:The food was very good and the location was excellent.
Review 112:Very small room with half the room taken by the sloping ceiling. My wifestill battered and bruised by hitting her head after forgetting to benddouble to walk round side of bed (although other rooms looked verynice). Service in restaurant was poor.
Review 113:Hotel location was excellent and large secure locked car park was anadditional bonus. Good varied menu although some dishes quite expensive.Breakfast very good (but again, quite expensive).
Review 114:While the bathroom and amenities were updated, the bathroom had only a stand-up shower and no tub, which threw our 3 year-old daughter's night-time tub routine off, but she learned to take a shower. This is nothing againt the hotel, but in Eguisheim many business close for "siesta hours" which made it difficult to shop, and the restaurants filled up very early and very quickly, so come near opening if you want a table.
Review 115:Clean and quiet hotel. Our room was spacious, cute and clean and the WiFi connection was good. The amenities were updated. One of the convenient things about this place is that it has a guest parking, which is very difficult to find in this town. Eguisheim is a really cute town with lots of wine tastings and easy going townspeople. The town was surprisingly budget-friendly considering it is an up-and-coming tourist destination.
Review 116:Was served apple pie which tasted of onions but the staff dealt with it promptly. There is no air-con so the rooms are stuffy. The first room we were given had previous guests that were smokers. We were changed without any fuss. There were no no-smoking signs in the rooms though or any sign of penalties if smoking in the room.
Review 117:Staff dealt with problems quickly and without fuss. Good was good quality but there is better to be had elsewhere. Location and parking were both very good. Hotel is comfortable and in a good location to explore the area and the village itself is beautiful.
Review 118:They kept the room despite our late arriwal; 10,30 and we could have a nice meal even if the kitchen was closed. The breakfast was superb. One of the best hotelbreakfast ever.
Review 119:One person to serve breakfast and act as receptionist was quite inadequate. Flies on breakfast food.
Review 120:Fantastic village and location. Convenient parking.
Review 121:Previous guests used towel left on back of bathroom door/ fan andtable lamp did not work/ 10 euro charge for dog/ poor coffeeat breakfast
Review 122:Location/ pet friendly/ secure car park at no extra charge
Review 123:The room (101) was very hot at night (fan not enough); noisy at night as near the restaurant; wi-fi not available in the room.
Review 124:The room was very clean and comfortable.
