Reviews for Finnhostel Lappeenranta
Review 1:Good location: park is very close, to the city center 5 mins by car. Car part is all over the building, but it not looks like you are staying at the car park because of the trees around. We lived at the second floor (there's two floors in the building). Room is spacious, with big window. Two beds we moved together to make the "double room". We liked the room with microwave, teepot, fridge and tablewear. Very useful for companies to eat together if they occupied few rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was very simple, but contained all you need: juice, tea, coffee, bread, cheese, porridge, etc. I must say the price is still high comparing to facilities, but it is common for hotels in Finland.
Review 2:Wi fi and missing of beddings
Review 3:No complaints.
Review 4:We were treated well and breakfast was good. Your staff knew how to smile.
Review 5:Outdated decor. VERY ascetic. The price - quality is disappointing. Max 1 night after a long trip.
Review 6:Liked the location, close to town, airport, lake.
Review 7:Friendly and helpful staff, convenient transportation, breakfast
Review 8:Price
Review 9:Surrounding nature
Review 10:Quite nice place, not far from Lappeenranta center
Review 11:the smell of a fish in the corridors
Review 12:The bathroom was smelly and the lamp there was very sad.. The light was dim and yellow and it took minutes for it to start working properly. No proper soundproofing in the rooms, I heard neighbour's phone conversations. The quality-price ratio in the restaurant was beyond awful. I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu (minute beef steak with potato wedges and salad, 16€) and I got dry and flavorless meat and almost half a kilo of potato wedges that tasted like sweet doughnut (I guess they used a poorly washed pan..) Salad was cucumber, tomato and the cheapest lettuce possible. Overall the hostel is stuck in the last century. Overly priced room (I spent a night in one of the Helsinki's fanciest hotel, Crowne Plaza, for the same price).
Review 13:Twin room was spacious and the view was relaxing. I loved the opportunity to take dishes to your room from the common living room, and that there was a water boiler also. It made possible for me to drink my own tea etc in my room. Fridges in the common living room were also very useful. Staff was friendly. Wi-fi in the room was ok. Check-in and out went smooth.
Review 14:Somewhat pricey given its location but otherwise a very decent place to stay
Review 15:The hotel's staff are very friendly and helpful. Sandwiches in the cafe are very tasty. There is a minigolf right in front of the hotel and two playgrounds in the camping area. Be sure not to miss sunset over lake Saimaa, it is beautiful.
Review 16:Is in the middle of nowhere wich make it a little bit uncomfortable, but well a little walk never kill anyone :)
Review 17:The place itself was quite decent and there was no noise so you can rest well.
