Reviews for Résidence Pierre & Vacances Le Clos d'Eguisheim

Review 1:Internet is not free. I've purchase the most expensive option forhigh speed and the quality was verry poor. When I complained at the deskthey told me that aware of and will refund me. Passed 2 months, sent 2reminder - nothing got.

Review 2:Nice place around

Review 3:Nothing. It would make a perfect base to explore the area for an extended stay. Wish we were there longer.

Review 4:Location - walking distance to Eguisham, fresh bread service in the morning, GREAT apartment, indoor pool. Free parking, Kids loved it

Review 5:Rooms for 6-7 only accommodate 3 with any comfort as no room for luggage. We had 2 broken chairs, electric jug dirty inside, you have to ask for a hairdryer and we had chipped /cracked crockery. While they wer happy to fix these things, guests should not have to be the ones who check on all these things. Linen pack supplied but you have to make up your own beds and strip them before departure. Fairly basic.

Review 6:Could borrow games for family. The pool was good. The town baker arrivesat 8.30 for a short sale time.

Review 7:The staff were unavailable. They close reception at 7pm, and when we called the number for after-hours service (we arrived at 8pm!) they did not answer the phone. Other guests were also waiting and trying to get through. Eventually, someone answered the phone and we did get our keys from a lockbox. On check-out (the only time we had contact with any staff member in 2 days) the person was unhelpful about a separate issue that involved the unavailable wi-fi. The beds are also incredibly uncomfortable.

Review 8:The location; the balcony; the morning bakery.

Review 9:Internet - extremely slow - too bad TV - too small, only a few international TV channels

Review 10:We had booked a duplex apartment and had plenty of space for 4 people - parents and two teenage daughter. Close to the town, great views, free private parking very easily accessed

Review 11:The studio that I have stayed for the first night had two really very small beds that were more for kids than adults and the sofa bed that was for adults looked dirty and not inviting. Thus had to sleep on a small, narrow bed that was not comfortable. Next morning they moved me to a nicer and cleaner room for some extra. This room had a comfortabe double bed. Overall it was a good stay.

Review 12:the village that this property is located at is very nice. it looks like a fairy tale.

Review 13:Disappointing that basic cleaning supplies for kitchen need to be purchased for €5. A simple wiping cloth and some detergent provided would be helpful to hand wash dishes. Without dishwasher detergent we just had to make do. A bit annoying to have to strip the beds and put pit rubbish before leaving.

Review 14:Efficient use of small space. Nice to have small kitchen with crockery. Towels and soaps for bathroom provided. Local baker sells breads and pastries for breakfast each morning. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Good that it was indoor as we hit a cold weather patch.

Review 15:The receptionist wasn't polite and seemed to be busy with other things (instead of looking at me and answering my questions and also saying hello or goodbye). The rooms were quite small and the living room which we used as another bed room has a window directly to the garden - that window is full size and the garden is shared, so either no privacy or no natural light - your choice. The extra bed was horrible and uncomfortable.

Review 16:Location, indoor heated swimming pool, parking, clean bedding and towels. Kitchen.

Review 17:Baker every morning with fresh bread Walking distance to historic village

Review 18:Paid wifi which wasn't very good, lack of toursit information

Review 19:The accomodation was good, facilities good and village of Eguishiem fabulous

Review 20:- soundproofing shall be better

Review 21:- very good location - secured garage included in the room price - friendly staff

Review 22:The payed wifi wasn't working very well.

Review 23:It's a very cosy place, very surprising and well organized.

Review 24:It was not clean Television was very small and programs avaliable very limited.

Review 25:Size of department Swimmingpool Kitchen

Review 26:Poor staffing, poor internet connection, aging residence, noisy at best of times and quite small compared to other residences...

Review 27:Perfect with the swimming pool for kids. Perfect for tourism purposes and in the middle of what is to be seen (Route du Vin and Colmar), lovely villages all around ! Value for money.

Review 28:When I booked this I was charged 115 euro for a night. When we got therethe reception was closed ( from 19.oo hrs a factor we were not aware ofon the booking ) and there was a code for the gate.we had 2 young VERY TIRED CHILDREN and it took us over half an hour to get it. When we did get in there was a set of bunk beds for the kids right inside the door in other words the hallway ( bed had to be made) and the other bed for the adults was two sofas on either side of the room ( which or course you guessed it also had to be made after ) There was NO TOILET ROLL IN THE ROOM a factor that could not be addressed as reception was closed. OVERALL VERY VERY POOR CONSIDERING THE PRICE OF 115 EURO. GO A LITTLE FURTHER as we did We stayed in Mulhouse the first night and it was 65 euro for the night, in the city ctr, with staff which were very very friendly and accommodating La Strasbourg WE WONT BE GOING HERE EVER AGAIN

Review 29:The town area is clean and quite. The accommodation is newly builtand finished.

Review 30:1) Reception's opening hours are somewhat short. No accommodation for late arrivals. 2) Indoor parking is no guarantee. It was full occasionally. 3) Lighting in the apartment was inadequate. It was a bit dark. 4) Kitchen area and worktop is a bit small and limited respectively. There is no extractor fan.

Review 31:1) Spacious accommodation. 2) Beautiful setting. 3) Residence only 10 min's walk from village centre and 15-20 min's drive from Colmar centre.

Review 32:It was a basic apartment to meet basic needs, but we really had to shop to provide what I would think could be provided beyond the most basic needs of a single roll of toilet paper, soap for the dishes, and dish clothes. Booking.com needs to better clarify the extra costs for costs of towels and tourist tax. (We were prepared and brought our own towels). I felt we had a budget room for our budget price stuffed under the stairs, a stuffy and slightly smelly place. It perhaps needs some better ventilation in our apartment, while it looked like some rooms with balconies had some nicer comforts. Needs a fire alarm for safety? We had some pretty smoky food and noticed no fire alarms, but were glad we didn't set them off.

Review 33:We liked being close (walking distance) to a beautiful Alsace village. Liked having an apartment we could cook and relax in after a day on the wine road. The parking was good and we would have liked the pool, but had no time planned. This would be a good place for a stay longer than a few days if the room was a comfortable one. Eguisheim was a lovely experience and we didn't miss not staying in Colmar as we stayed there last time. It was a close drive for the day and Equisheim itself...lovely!

Review 34:Unfriendly staff, making up own beds, extra charge for towels, no wifi despite what the place promises. All fine in a budget place, but not at these prices

Review 35:The swimming pool and proximity to the Equisheim

Review 36:Very bad impression that we had to pay 6€ for each pair of towels( although their book mentioned it was free) No free wf, you had to pay for this too and the most impressive you had to pay seperately for every device you had ( mobile phone , laptop, iPad !!!!) That made you feel that the atmosphere was not very friendly or welcoming !

Review 37:It was a comfortable small apartment with basic comforts. The garden was very nice and we almost spent most of our time there. The people who worked there were quite helpful. The swimming pool very clean.

Review 38:When we arrived we learned that whilst they supply linen they do notsupply towels!!! After a discussion at reception we were given towelsbut it is rather odd to say the least.Booking.com should make this veryclear to other travellers

Review 39:Quiet location

Review 40:Thin walls between the rooms, we could hear the children turn on their light. We were above the entrance gate and a very noisy tractor driver woke us most morning's at 6!!!!!!

Review 41:All the complex was well cared for and clean. The pool was a great success with our children, as was the baker each morning. Delicious! The apartment was compact but had all the appliances that we needed including a separate bath and shower. There were other families which was a bonus for entertaining the children. The Trois Chateaux de Eguisheim is well worth the trip up the hill.

Review 42:Where do I start? Have to rent sheets and even towels which are6€/ person (sheets more). W e only stayed for 2 nights, travelingthrough France, didn't bring towels! In 30 years of traveling, have never had to rent towels or sheets before. Had to pay for wifi.Stayed there because had laundry, was 9€ a load. Rooms were small, cheaply done, bad smell. Had to clean kitchen before leaving, but nosoap or cleaning supplies.

Review 43:Good location by a cute town.

Review 44:The carpets. I think holiday lets should be tiles or wood orpergo floors.

Review 45:The room was fantastically clean. Even carpets, and I am not a fan ofcarpets in holiday lets. We will be using their services again. The bestpart? The French baker who came at 8am just outside our patio door, nearthe clubhouse, selling croissants, baguettes, fresh butter, homemadejams and fresh milk!!!

Review 46:The overall stay we very positive but I didn't like that you have to make your own bed (they provide the linen but do not make the beds), plus there is charge towels and they there is not a restaurant even to serve breakfast or a machine to sell some coffee. Not expecting this we did take any coffee with us so we had to leave in order to have breakfast. Also, check in time is a bit limited. But this are only minor things and we would go back there anything.

Review 47:This place is beautiful and very well maintained. The grounds and the pool are simply wonderful, even on bad weather. The location is excellent as it is very near the center of Eguisheim. The apartments are nice and the kitchen is very well equiped. Excelent place for families and children! We will definately go back and search for Pierre Vacances in other regions we go.

Review 48:The bedrooms and bathroom were a little small, but the overall size ofthe apartment was very nice so it made up for that.

Review 49:Nice apartments, perfect for a long stay. France is so expensive this isthe way to travel. We had a full kitchen and dining area, so we boughtfood and ate most of our meals in the room to save money. A bakery manshowed up to the terrace each morning with fresh pastries and bread.Heated indoor pool was a big hit with the kids. Walking distance to theadorable village of Eguisheim, and many hiking trails through thebeautiful vineyard-covered hills of Alsace. From our room we had aterrific view of these hills and the village, and 3 castles. A relaxingspring vacation for our family.

Review 50:Perfect place to stay in the Alsace region. A very short walk to the old village of Eguisheim and a short drive to Colmar, Turckheim, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Ribeauville. The pool was fabulous for the kids after touring the villages. We loved having a full kitchen and separate rooms. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 51:Room was not clean at all. Needed updating. Not worth the price paid.

Review 52:Not too far from city centre. Kids liked the pool. Nice view. Quiet location.

Review 53:There are two female employees to the reception .. One dealing wonderful and the other was not approachable Does not have a restaurant but does not have a coffee shop

Review 54:A quiet place and good design

Review 55:The apartment had everything we needed for our family of 5 and overlooked the beautiful village of Eguisheim. It was only a short walk to the centre of the old village. Our children loved the pool. The apartment grounds were beautiful. We loved having cooking facilities, separate living area and a balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. The apartment was good value and included secure underground parking. We had a lovely stay.

Review 56:Small overcrowded pool road could be heard even with windows closedplayground suitable for very young children only

Review 57:A good sized apartment. Kitchen very well equipped. Secure undergroundparking. Bread and pastries available every day early morning from localbaker. Brand new washing machine and dryer available Well positioned a 5minute walk from the village

Review 58:Rain during Fat la musique... I felt they were not looking friendly whenI have made booking throgh the booking.com

Review 59:Very quiet and nice. Clean and tidy appartments with all the neccesarythings. Really buity city centre.

Review 60:Although it did'nt effect us anyone booking this location withdisabilities would not want the first or second floor appartment or useof the underground parking as there are only stairs and no lifts. Alsothe cupboards in the kitchen were quiet high and could cause problemstaking things from at height.

Review 61:Locationand comfortable, quiet appartment. Pleasant walk into the prettyvillage with good local shops, good cafes.

Review 62:the car park could be better organised, for some strange reason the numbers on the car parking spaces do not coincide with the room numbers!

Review 63:The ability to relax in a proper living space and enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony

Review 64:Underground parking a bit narrow, it would have been nice to have an elevator from underground garage to top floor apartments (2eme étage), for bringing luggages and visitors with physical challenges.

Review 65:4 day weekend trip, nice new facilities, equipped kitchenette, wifi access, covered swimming pool perfect temperature, Eguisheim is a charming village nearby walking distance, the residence is well situated for visits in Alsace, quiet, relaxing stay, good firm beds, looking forward to our next visit to Le Clos D'Eguisheim for a longer stay next time.

Review 66:Did not have our booking, luckily the hotel was not full. Beds are quitehard, beds and rooms are very small.

Review 67:Good location close to beautiful village. Clean rooms and friendlystaff. Can share in group of 6/7

Review 68:No. AC so might be hot later in the summer.

Review 69:Perfect location, set up was great and had all we needed. Underground parking was a plus.

Review 70:The rooms smellt tobacco.

Review 71:The place, in a nice village. The buildings whose colours are like alsacian houses. Many people but not too much noise.

Review 72:Escadas com malas e internet

Review 73:O Espaço e a estrutura com cozinha completa

Review 74:The apartment was comfortable close to the beatiful Old village. Smimming pool was clean and quiet.

Review 75:This is a good place for short stays near Colmar with immediate access to the wine areas of Haut Rhine.

Review 76:Small rooms, not very clean. Needs for renovation.

Review 77:ideal location in Eguisheim.

Review 78:-Paid and slow wifi connection -Paid Towels

Review 79:-Location -Clean -Beautiful Structure

Review 80:The interior comfort is not up to the exterior looks of the hotel.

Review 81:The outside appearance, the pool.
