Reviews for B&B Hôtel Montluçon

Review 1:Dogs dirt in car park, dog allowed in the reception, dog allowed to walk around breakfast tables, dog patted by staff and then immediately returned from kitchen with food.

Review 2:Nothing would have inspired me or my friends to ever stay here again

Review 3:It wasn't a problem for us as we were just passing through, but if you want to visit Montlucon itself this hotel seemed to be a little out of the city centre, so there might be quite a walk (or even a bus ride perhaps) to get into the centre.

Review 4:Very comfortable considering how cheap the rooms are- it was extremely hot when we stayed there but the air conditioning was very effective, if a little on the noisy side. Comfortable bed, and everything was very good considering the price.

Review 5:Surprisingly nice hotel for the cost. Staff excellent, polite and helpful. Clean room, nice room decor and relaxing colour scheme. A/C excellent (it was a very hot day). Very comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom with extra modern fixtures, hot water shower with good pressure. Breakfast more varieties and better quality than would expect in that class of hotel. Walking distance to other restaurants.

Review 6:The hotel was comfortable and Receptionist very welcoming. We liked the fact that there was private parking, yet we were within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Review 7:Difficult to find, very few street names on the estate

Review 8:My first stay with this hotel chain, and the service and staff were great. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful value for money. Will use B&B again.

Review 9:First floor ,no lift, open staircase and a rope handrail, spooky!!

Review 10:the breakfast, scrambled egg and bacon!!! Friendly and helpful staff. Early hospital appointment,10 minutes down the road, brilliant!

Review 11:First and last time we go there.....Reserved a double room and a baby crib for my little boy for 39 euros....i just got a double room and thats all...no breakfast inculded in the in a hotel B&B...never saw that. and the price...i made the reservation for 39 euros when i reach to pay they made me pay 45 euros....nice...never again!

Review 12:Parking ok....

Review 13:I stayed there as it was cheap and i just wanted a bed for the night as i was passing through town. The location was close to the river which was nice, but also on a business type estate out of the town centre. In my opinion it is for people on a budget or passing through.I have no complaints,i got what i paid for.

Review 14:THe hotel is in the middle of a commercial estate. We did not feel particulary secure walking to and from the hotel late at night.

Review 15:Cheap & cheerful. We arrived late, when hotel was unstaffed, but staff were helpful and efficient over the telephone (and spoke english).

Review 16:Booked 2 rooms when arrived later even though hotel was notified and they understood we were arriving late. One room was given away 2 people had to sleep in the car. Very annoyed.we had another longer journey next day and the other two people were to tired to drive the distance. Very very annoyed

Review 17:One of the worst hotels I've been. To be avoided.

Review 18:Area

Review 19:Price

Review 20:great staff, very clean

Review 21:The room was small but comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning. The staff were all helpful.

Review 28:Pillows

Review 29:Staff

Review 30:Surroundings are a bit tatty.

Review 31:Location near river and shopping centre, good for old town, station within walking distance.

Review 32:Wifi did not work in the room or in the reception despite help from the staff member.

Review 33:WiFi not working Strange vomit like substance emerging from floors No staff on duty after 21.30 Noise from doors like cannon fire all night. Virtually no sound insulation. No instructions for radiators or showers. Toilet area ludicrously small - no room for legs!

Review 34:Nothing. My candidate for worst hotel in France. I have stayed in many.

Review 35:New hotel and not fully prepared for business. No wifi in rooms, no egg/bacon breakfast, no aircon/clim,no fitted soap dispenser - only non-matching toiletries.Towels/serviettes taken from room whist at breakfast = new ones obtained from reception.

Review 36:works in progress OK pay attention to the real locking at night of the main door be careful with the sliding shower sink

Review 37:smile and availability of the hostess

Review 38:Receptionist was ok with us even though neither of us poke the others language. While we were booking in a gentleman tried to get his room, because she could not find his booking on the system. She didn't seem to be very helpful. He came back twice more and must have got as room because his van was on the car park all night. \because of the language barrier I may have made the wrong assumption. but it did appear that way

Review 39:It's clean

Review 40:Desperate need of updating, looking a bit tired, That's all

Review 41:Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, restaurants close by,can recomend a place called Flunch, big selection of different food There was something for everyone. We chose it mainly because it was dog friendly as was the restaurant . Would stay there again without hesitation.

Review 42:That we got a smoking room even though we requested a non smoking room and that they didn't offer us any compensation.

Review 43:Two rather flat pillows are inadequate.

Review 44:Convenient for town centre with a pleasant walk along riverside.

Review 45:No kettle

Review 46:Closeness to city

Review 47:Location

Review 48:The room and the staff.

Review 49:Room a little small and a little too hot

Review 50:Clean rooms, friendly staff

Review 51:dirty, old, noisy,

Review 52:on my way

Review 53:Maybe they have non-smoking rooms but my room smelt of cigarette smoke.
