Reviews for Villa Duflot Châteaux & Hôtels Collection

Review 1:The hot breakfast options were not too good but our meal at night was superb! Out by the gorgeous pool!!

Review 2:Bedrooms incredible, spacious and comfortable. Big open windows onto beautiful garden, luxurious extras, just perfect!

Review 3:room furniture is a little outdated, i would never call this a boutique hotel. and please warn guests about birddroppings and stainig fruit falling from trees at carpark in front of the reception. i am glad i closed the roof of my convertible, but it still looked horrible.

Review 4:Cool restaurant, cool pool

Review 5:The luxury hotel was beautiful within it's own grounds. The poolside restaurant at night was lovely and the fixed price menu varied and excellent.

Review 6:The metal finish on the pool which we found a little slippery and very bright in the sun.

Review 7:Loved the space in the room. Helpful staff. Excellent variety of food for breakfast and lunch. Lovely decor. Quiet at night. Liked having table and chairs outside the room.

Review 8:No Dinner until 8pm, not great for young children, which sadly meant a trip to McDonalds. Would have liked a toilet in the master bedroom. There was a strange pepping sound for most of the night...turned out it was the laundry room below us. I think the price is probably a little high for the accomodation level

Review 9:Staff were excellent, room size was great and clean. The furniture was all great and two big sized TVs

Review 10:Lack of comfortable chairs on patio and not enough sun beds by pool. Location near commercial zone. Staff could have been friendlie.

Review 11:Room size, pool, restaurant

Review 12:Rooms do have some oldish furniture, but I must say very comfy and lovely stay. Amazing garden

Review 13:We loved the restaurant next to swimming pool with fine cuisine. The beauty of the French Catalonia and Pyrenees was a wonderful and fantastic surprise.

Review 14:Minor issue but the duck was a little tough. But it was part of an event menu and I expect the meal started much later than expected giving the chef some headaches. The quality of the rest of the meal was first class, particularly the tartare of Sea Bass.

Review 15:Excellent hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Owner takes a personal interest in all of his guests

Review 16:Sitting by the pool having a drink,French were given olives and peanuts with their drinks we were not ( we are English) !

Review 17:Hotel was very comfortable, lovely rooms, pretty garden and nice pool

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Everything was exquisite especially Margot on reception welcoming us so well. Food outstanding- never miss eating here - the best food and service ever / room beautiful fresh and clean / cool for us when we arrived after a long drive - they cannot do enough for you and all staff bilingual.

Review 20:Aircondition somehow didnt really work. But we were too tired to have it checked.

Review 21:Nice room, very comfortable bed, nice pool and garden area. Great dinner, definitely worth the money

Review 22:As they say in French un seule B mol ,some of the furniture in the bedroom though of excellent quality is beginning to show it's age

Review 23:Comfortable rooms and excelent restaurant in very pleasant surroundings

Review 24:Our ground floor room opened to a small patio and then the open garden and overlooking the swimming pool. The room was spotlessly clean as were all parts of the hotel. The meal was perfect and well served. Excellent all round hotel.

Review 25:Leaving the following morning...bur we had to get to Clermont-Ferrand by nightfall.

Review 26:Location. The best receptionist in the hotel world. Room and restaurant excellent. Will definitely stay again when passing that way, even if it means a detour!

Review 27:ignored in the bar/restaurant when other events taking place - not able to deal with a lot of customers at once - variable service in restaurant. Food OK but expensive. Service very very poor. One evening we arrived and were told we had been told the restaurant and bar were both closed! (fortunately we had eaten). Very difficult to find! Lorry park next door very noisy. Room too close to restaurant and outside area. Bed lined/bed all damp.

Review 28:towels were changed every day, bed very large and comfortable , aircon good.

Review 29:If the room can use some parfum diffuser and smell more delightful, will be better.

Review 30:Spacious room with wide open view to the garden, convenient eating area, staffs are helpful and polite, easy access to autoroute, close to city center.

Review 31:I did not like the fact they took out two transactions on our bank card i.e the initial booking and then evening meal and breakfast. Not had this before thought bank card details for the reservation only not to use prior to our arrival.

Review 32:Very comfortable hotel would recommend to others

Review 33:The bar prices were expensive but the meal was excellent. Too far out of Perpignan to explore with only one night there.

Review 34:The hotel is on the outskirts of Perpignan so was ideal as a stopover. The grounds are well laid out the setting of the bar/restaurant is beautifully set around an exquisite swimming pool.We were upgraded and this made all the difference. If possible I would go for the junior suite again. Very dog friendly.

Review 35:Location not good if you want to see Perpignan as you need to get taxi every time. The a la carte food in the evening was not good at all. My partner had mixed fish and that was all she had no veg or potatoes at all. No coffee or tea making facilities.

Review 36:Comfy bed, Nice big room, Shower ok but not brilliant. Mini bar was ok with a good choice.

Review 37:Very slow service in restaurant, (had to wait 1 hour between the starter and main) which was full and expensive - set menu, but limited as there were more supplements for dishes than not, which at 33€ I thought was not right. Also food nice, good but not fantastic. The maître d' comped us two glasses if wine which then appeared on the bill. Wifi in public areas but not in rooms, although I did get it on the balcony. Not nearly enough beds and towels by the pool, but a lovely pool, and pleasant bar area.

Review 38:Lovely hotel, huge rooms with dressing gowns, slippers, huge balcony, nice outlook. Nice gardens and pool, friendly staff. Would recommend hotel but probably not the restaurant, although lovely breakfast.

Review 39:One of the waiters gave us menu without prices on. When I asked what is the situation for ordering is it set menu he said order starter main and dessert. As there was a menu in the room stating a set price for 3 course. I thought this us what he meant but it was not and it was expensive. IF he said it was a la carte we would have only had starter and main as we do not really like dessert. Just watch out for that and as for menus with prices!!! As we knew it would be expensive but we went away feeling duped!!!!

Review 40:Lovely garden and room very relaxing. Great food in the restaurant

Review 41:Well appointed room and comfortable, large double bed.On site parking and located close to auto route.

Review 42:can't think of anything!

Review 43:great location for Carcasdone old city, wonderful staff and delicious breakfast

Review 44:Too far from town and very expensive restaurant and not a varied enough menu for dinner

Review 45:Staff were lovely and helpful and the ambiwnce was good

Review 46:The location was not great. Surrounded by industrial /retail parks

Review 47:Very elegant and comfortable , not at all pretentious

Review 48:Restaurant surrounding noisy swimming pool.

Review 49:Nice quiet location and rooms, very pleasant reception - just right for a stopover.

Review 50:Relaxing and peaceful.

Review 51:Everything

Review 52:Restaurant and location

Review 53:Amazing friendly service, wonderful restaurant, lovely room with a very comfy bed and pillows, would definitely stay here again

Review 54:the glass separating the shower in the bathroom is too small

Review 55:large room well decorated , nice bathroom and very good air-conditioning

Review 56:Restaurant, room, garden

Review 57:Everything was excelent

Review 58:Outstanding motivational staff well trained and very knowledgable

Review 59:nothing

Review 60:Setting was lovely, and gave a tranquil feeling. Bedroom was very spacious with fabulous large bed.

Review 61:Room not as clean as we would expect

Review 62:The room was nice, facilities good, complex good and restaurant good

Review 63:Bad wifi in the room

Review 64:bed is too soft for me and my friend also agreed. actually the hotel is smaller than I thought (huge rooms anyway), it looked much bigger from the photo :p

Review 65:relaxing place we also noticed the locals also chose to be there to just chill down in the restaurant. could recommend ppl for either buz or romantic purpose to stay there o/n, and enjoy the lovely dinner as well.

Review 66:Best hotel in this area. Very nice rooms with the pine tree garden. You can step into the garden straight from your room on the ground floor. Very good restaurant.

Review 67:They were not even able to provide a map of the City. The facilities were under construction. The location is on the edge of town near an industrial park.

Review 68:Good restaurant. Clean. Not unattractive--but had a motel-like feel (didnt like this).

Review 69:The hotel was having a major refurb. Some of the staff where no where near as nice as my previous visits.

Review 70:have stayed here before and found it a nice place a good location to my business. It would not be good for non business travellers.

Review 71:I was kept awake by the flashlight of the fire detector and noise of a fan which could not be switched off. Also the duvet was far too warm for the temperature. So I had a bad night.

Review 72:Close to motorway!!!Excellent restaurant!! Very friendly helpful staff. Room nicely furnished

Review 73:There isn't anything I didn't like

Review 74:Often stay at villa Duflot overnight en route from Barcelona to Alps. The beds are so comfortable with top class linen. Lovely friendly helpful staff. A delight to stay here.

Review 75:There wasn't anyone at reception when we arrived and it took a little while for someone to help us. The exercise room was closed, which was disappointing and was not communicated when we made the reservation. Also, the man who took our order at the restaurant wasn't particularly friendly, but the rest of the restaurant staff were. The meal was delicious, and that trumped any small service concern.

Review 76:Very nice rooms; excellent restaurant. There was a smell in one of the two rooms we used which we think was the result of cigarette smoking by previous guests, but otherwise, the rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Review 77:Wi-fi only obtainable in reception not in the bedrooms. No tea and coffee making facilities.

Review 78:Very helpful staff. Restaurant exceptIonal, very busy and a favourite with locals. Although in a busy location, very quiet in the rooms.

Review 79:Terrace for room looked onto garden but also visible from corridors solittle privacy. Service could be a bit slow. Pool right outsiderestaurant so would be very public (not warm enough to swim while wewere there).

Review 80:Lovely layout around pool and gardens, giving Middle Eastern feel. Roomsvery comfortable and stylish with big beds and pillows, doors ontoterrace. Good restaurant, not cheap but good quality and style. Verypleasant, helpful staff.

Review 81:Location was very poor. No doubt once surrounded by sun lower fields etc. but today in a very busy commercial zone. Walkable to town during the day (about 40 minutes) but not a good idea at night as no paths and isolated with all businesses closed. Taxis an absolute rip off, between 25 and 35 euros round trip to town centre with no logic to tariffs.

Review 82:Hotel was very good and lived up to its 4 stars, food and wine very good, staff friendly.

Review 83:Didn't like climbing into the bath for a shower. I'm pretty agile but must be difficult for other guests. Shower cabinet would be better.

Review 84:Food in restaurant was very good. Bed was comfortable. Nice toiletries. Well appointment bathroom with bidet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 85:Hotel situated in a not so charming area (but you do not notice when you stay in the house and garden)

Review 86:Nice garden/pool and the residence being full of beautiful arts are what differs this hotel from most others

Review 87:This is a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. It was impossible to swim in the morning, at lunchtime or in the evening. The pool is surrounded on three sides by dining tables and I am not one who likes to watched while swimming.

Review 88:Food was excellent and the room was excellent as well. Room had a balcony overlooking a lovely garden.

Review 89:The night we were staying at the hotel there was a party on in the garden with loud music that continued until after 1am. My young child was unable to sleep and it was very annoying. the pool is really unsuitable for children - there is no barrier around it and there is no shallow end. The hotel is quite dark and dated in its decor. I really did not like this hotel at all. It is branded as an expensive, luxury hotel, but i did not find it so.

Review 90:Due to short stay we found no faults for us

Review 91:Location was perfect for a stop over travelling to Spain being 9 hours from Calais Pet friendly , welcome in the restaurant by our table and outside our room in the garden whilst having drinks.

Review 92:The lovely bedroom and comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom, the swimming pool and garden, restaurant and the helpful staff We would have liked to stay for longer but we were mid journey so didn't get to visit Perpignan itself.

Review 93:The resteraunt was so so. Was thinking it would be great but entire mealwas over cooked and we were the first to seat for dinner at 8pm

Review 94:The room was very clean and the staff friendly. The grounds relaxing andEnglish and French tv channels. Wifi worked great anywhere in the hotel

Review 95:The food I. The restaurant was over priced for what you got.

Review 96:It was a good base to travel to different parts of the area from. The room was spacious with a lovely garden view.

Review 97:No English or Spanish language menu at the restaurant, only French.

Review 98:Rooms are spacious and the garden is wonderful. We had beautiful view tothe patio. Booking.com guests get a complimentary bottle of wine andexcellent room allocation, which is not always the case elsewhere. Theyhave a great gourmet restaurant, a bit expensive, but worth trying.

Review 99:Dining was a quite lengthy process - with both of our dinners, we waitedfor nearly an hour for dessert.

Review 100:Excellent hotel with pool in landscaped gardens make you forget it isfeet from a motorway and a commercial estate. Food excellent, facilitiestop-notch. Helpful and friendly staff.

Review 101:Not that well organised for the seminar - two conflicting (unrelated) groups having to cross one another's space to get to their specific coffee/lunch locations.

Review 102:Friendly staff; excellent room.

Review 103:No tea/coffee making facilities in the room or corkscrew (eventhough there was wine in the mini-bar). The service in the restaurantwasn't friendly however the food was delicious (but no Englishtranslations on the menu which meant a fair bit of guessing andGoogling). Also we felt the breakfast was overpriced but thankfullyfound a wonderful, friendly boulangerie just down the road.

Review 104:The room was lovely, free wifi and the reception staff were helpful. Thelocation of the hotel just outside Perpignan was perfect for us to takeday trips South to Spain and West to the mountains. Would not have beena good location if we did not have a car. Plenty of parking.

Review 105:breakfast lacking choice dinner starts too late - at 8 PM - for long distance travellers

Review 106:nice decor and bathroom garden rooms with access very comfortable beds

Review 107:The free bikes to cycle into Perpignan along the medieval aquaduct and the cool stainless steel infinity pool and the really comfortable bed.

Review 108:The hotel was having extensive building work done. Unfortunately our view for dinner was builders in the pool with an electric drill.

Review 109:Road works in vicinity make it difficult to locate.

Review 110:Very helpful staff, good stop off point on drive to La Manga. Classy restaurant.

Review 111:Furniture a little old and creaky!

Review 112:They accepted dogs. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Review 113:Every time we wanted to use wifi we had to log back in.

Review 114:Very comfortable and good location! Staff friendly! Food was lovely but expensive!

Review 115:liked everything

Review 116:cannot fault this hotel excellent.

Review 117:terrible location; hard to find; hard to reach

Review 118:Lovely restaurant, excellent food, nice staff, very nice room(junior suite)

Review 119:Small choice in breakfast

Review 120:Cleanliness, Breakfast' s Madeleines

Review 121:Big room, nice furnished. Good restaurant. Friendly staff

Review 122:Reception staff somewhat disinterested.

Review 123:Terrific value for money. Very comfortable. Excellent dining facilities. Breakfast overpriced.

Review 124:Good food, staff and perfect stop off location.

Review 125:Everything. So calm!

Review 126:Comfortable rooms, staff exceptionally friendly, no problem with our dog. English spoken if you need it

Review 127:A very comfortable hotel which was kept immaculately clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice surroundings in peaceful setting.
