Review 1：The shower. Tiny, you easily bump into the water lever shooting the water temperature up. Gets the bathroom floor wet as there's nothing preventing the water from flowing outside the shower. The squeegee doesn't help.

Review 3：New room have very narrow beds. These rooms are very far from the reception - at least 5 min walk! 8 EUR for parking per day - it way free for many years.

Review 4：Unpleasant smell in the bathroom due to not correct pipe connection. Having a shower, be prepared that floor will be very wet.

Review 8：Somebody started drilling two days in a row at 8am. (3th and 4th Nov 2014) As a result - unpredictable level of noise due to the hotel "renovation" (planned until middle of 2015). Nobody informed me about that when I was booking the room. Taking into account that the room price was offered with no discount - I can't recommend anybody to stay there.

Review 9：A bit worn out, but just being renovated. It is a natural thing to do, though, so cannot really complain about it.

Review 10：Centrally located. Next to a beautiful cemetery. Bars and restaurants just 5 mins away. The garage below the building with an elevator acces to the lobby and rooms.

Review 11：Отличный очень чистый номер. Вкусный завтрак. Бесплатный прокат велосипедов с детскими креслами(!). Деткам были готовы кроватки и горшки. А да, еще сауна. Внимание, вода в бассейне прохладная. После сауны самое то, но просто купаться холодно.

Review 12：There is some construction work going inside and outside the hotel. The work started at 7AM in the morning rendering me unable to sleep. Basically, it had not been comfortable to stay in the hotel after the work started because of the noise. I would not recommend staying there until said work is finished (reportedly June 2015)

Review 34：Unexpectedly, the restaurant was closed at our arrival on 8 p.m. on Monday. We couldn't even get a cappuccino. The hotel has not been refurbished recently. The furniture is old. The price seems too steep for an old hotel with no working restaurant and a pool that can't be attended because you have to run around town in search of food.

Review 38：This was my first time to Lappeenranta and my friend and i decided to stay in Sokos Lappee. Before making any reservation i decided to check the reviews submitted by fellow travelers and, after seeing mostly positive reviews, decided to book it. I even requested the hotel for a room with specific view to the street and, in less than 24 hours I got their feedback from the hotel's reception confirming such room. Great! Fast and client-oriented staff! Upon arrival fast check-in, all required information was provided. The guy at the reception( a mature man) was really helpful when asking some directions. We were given room 218. Simple spacious room, with minimum decor but cozy, and really clean. For those needing ironing, there's all inside the closet, stocked minibar, flat tv and small but well equipped bathroom. Nothing to complain at. Nice sleeping with comfortable beds and clean clean linen. Great location- walking distance to all points : shops, restaurants, attractions, lake… Breakfast was good: variety and freshness of product is something of importance and the hotel succeeded here. I would recommend some more fresh fruits, and that would be just perfect, as per the meat, sausages, dairy products, bread, and the rest it's good. Really good! To take into account there's a swimming pool available, so don't forget to take the suits to chill out in the evenings. Important: Lappeenranta is located in the border with Russia (Vyborg, Saint Petersburg) so most of the tourists in town, as well as in the hotel, will be Russian.

Review 51：We had had to pay extra 20 euro for the room because Booking.com gave wrong price - 95 instead 115 for two persons. There was no discount by Stop in Finland card in spite of the discount had fixed by several sites.

In a basin in bathroom valve was closed and at first we did not understand why water stays in basin and even asked receptionist for engineering assistance. But engineer was not available and we found out how to hand with this.

Review 58：We ordered crayfish (river) soup in Casanova, they brought us soup withtiger shrimps & tried to say that its crayfish =) it's notvital..but please keep your plate selection more simple..to avoidmisunderstanding from staff side.

Review 59：- Some of room equipment looks too old and worn out (used but good :-) )- paper tea cups in room - very busy parking and too narrow parking places for big cars - it's too expensive for this hotel compared with another Finnish hotels. Perhaps it's too close to the border and that is the reason.

Review 61：Rooms (the new ones on the 3d floor) are too small, bathrooms as welltiny. No teapot and cups. Just one chair in the room (veryuncomfortable). Too tight. Breakfast leaves double feelings - it seemsto be enought varieties but some dishes are tasteless and bad cooked(scrambled eggs, porriage). Too expensive for such number of minuses.

Review 63：Were at this hotel from March 8 to March 9, 2013. Settled quickly, special comfort rooms are the same. Wanted to dine in the evening at the restaurant Casanova at the hotel, the service is terrible. None of the waiters do not even fit. While I had not asked for the menu. Dinner, too, was not the best. More in this hotel not dwell.
