Review 1：It was made pleasant by the location, overlooking the harbour. The staff always helpful and happy. Extremely clean and would stay there again without hesitation.
Review 2：Breakfast (optional) was limited choice as all was presented and served on a tray, in the cafe downstairs.
Review 3：We had a wonderful view of the harbour from room 37. Very clean modern comfortable room and ensuite.
Review 4：We stayed in room 1 which had two rooms and was suitable for a family. We were only two. It was on the ground floor and no more than one metre from the road. So it was a bit noisy as we like some air at night. Car parking is not always easy but at least it's free in September onwards.
Review 5：We had previously visited the area and new the location. Right by the port with good restaurants to choose from for a change from the hotel. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very good with separate bath and shower.
Review 6：Didn't like the noise, inability to sleep either because of noise or because the room was so hot if window was closed. Fried food smells emanate from kitchen extractor vent by hallway.

Review 8：Location next right to the port can make it a bit noisy as there tend to be live music events on over the summer, particularly if you have a ground floor room. That said they don't go on much beyond 11.00 so that wouldn't bother most people.

We had a nice evening in the restaurant, with a superb view, however my steak was inedible and although they were apologetic they only reduced the bill by the price of a cup of coffee which was disappointing, maybe we should have complained louder but the night was nice anyway.
Review 22：The breakfast was a bit basic and the coffee was the worst we have had in the whole 5 month stay in France! They need to invest in a proper coffee machine. Serving luke warm coffee from thermos flasks is NOT a good idea.

Review 26：Disgusting dark brown bedspread and orange blanket. Very stained dated carpet. Tiny room, dark and very old fashioned and I was shocked to find this a superior double room. Room 36 The staff in the restaurant/bar were very unfriendly considering I was a guest at the hotel for 3 nights.

Review 30：Excellent location overlooking the harbour, and very convenient for everything in La Flotte - market, shops, bike hire, restaurants. The room was very spacious and clean.
Review 31：Only very minor downside was there are no tea and coffee making facilties in the room altho this is not uncommon in France. I like a cuppa when i first get up in the morning.
Review 32：Excellent value for money , excellent location, staff couldnt have been more helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Room was cleaned and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Secure bike parking was provided ( you will need your own lock tho). Will definitely return.
Review 33：Two of the nights we stayed here there was a music festival on nd the stage was across the road from our hotel the music went on until midnight the first night but finished earier the next night as it rained very heavily. Eating breakfast in the bar area is fine but it did give the impression of being in a storage room with tables and chairs stored in there.however breakfast was good

Review 37：The staff in the cafe/bar were very off hand (almost rude) compared to the customer service you get in the UK. This seems common in many French cafes and once we realised it wasn't personal we got used to this particular Gallic charm!
Review 38：This is a simple but smart hotel with a cafe and bar below right on the harbour. The hotel receptionist was friendly and advised us of disruption to traffic leaving Ile de Re the following day due to a oyster fishers strike. The breakfast was good with a selection of fruit, cheeses and pastries. It would have been better to have been offered a decent cafe rather than from the thermos.

Review 41：This hotel is amazing! Incredible welcome so friendly and accommodating. The owner personally moved their car so our Harley Davidson was safely tucked up for the night. Perfect location and the restaurant served the most incredibly prepared cuisine and breakfast to rival a five star hotel! Incroyable!

Review 76：Location is wonderful, just behind the corner of La Flotte harbour. Spacious bathroom, clean room. Considering that Ile de Re is an expensive place, I think Le Francais is an excellent value for money.
