Reviews for Le Manoir des Impressionnistes & Spa

Review 1:Leaving!!

Review 2:Fell totally in love with this place. Everything is fab about it. The exceptionally charming staff who go out of their way to make your stay so perfect, especially the lovely owner who even helped me up the stairs as I had a tad too much wine. The location, the spa - oh I could go on and on. So looking forward to returning in the summer months but will miss sitting by the open fire. Did a road tour over xmas 10 hotels in 14 days and this was on our last night and it was the best.

Review 3:The room was pleasant with large bathroom on the ground floor, but small details would have made the stay even better. Considering the price, it would have been better if the toilet had some ventilation or at least a spray. The water bottle was not replenished after the first day, nor were some of the items in the bathroom. The shower flooded the bathroom when used. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and the food was disappointing, especially considering the price. Generally the food lacked finesse or flavour. In comparison there are plenty of alternatives in Honfleur where every meal we had was excellent.

Review 4:The location is excellent, within a short walk to the beach and 15 mins walk to the centre of Honfleur through the pretty streets. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only the waiter during dinner was unfriendly. The breakfast was good, but over priced, so after the first day we had breakfast in Honfleur. Lovely shops and art galleries to see in Honfleur.

Review 5:Bar prices and wine list were pricey, but quality excellent.

Review 6:Very friendly staff and a comfortable room with lovely view over gardens and to the beach. Restaurant food was amazing!

Review 7:It was a beautiful place in a beautiful location staff could not do enough for you and made you feel at home and the food was lovely will defiantly be going back next year

Review 8:not in town- walk was further long a busy road than advertised

Review 9:The front desk recommended your sister restaurant up the street which was charming and good food

Review 10:Breakfast choice is limited and expensive for what it is. To charge extra for eggs seems too much and gives the wrong impression of the hotel - shame!

Review 11:Location. Style of hotel. Dinner service and breakfast service staff excellent

Review 12:The bathroom was dated and the shower too small. Would have liked in room tea and coffee facilities.

Review 13:Beautiful classic building in a very attractive location. Our room was very attractive with splendid views. A good restaurant is available on site but many alternatives are nearby

Review 14:A beautiful old manor with a touch of grandeur. Lovely gardens and out door terrace for having a drink or dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a comfortable walking distance from the town of Honfleur, which we instantly fell in love with.

Review 15:The night we arrived, we sat in the garden. The waiter would not really engage us. Not sure why? We had to ask a few times to get a drink.. In the end he did.

Review 16:I enjoyed our brief stay with you. The staff in the morning were very helpful, but I believe that was because the Lady Owner was overseeing her staff.

Review 17:Nothing, our only negative was breakfast at 40 euros per couple was expensive. Otherwise nothing negative to say.

Review 18:The location was beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and could not do enough to help.

Review 19:Just felt the price for a small room at the top of the house was a little expensive.

Review 20:Lovely owner and staff. Beautiful setting and dinning room superb.

Review 21:Quiet location that was out of the hustle and bustle from downtown. Very relaxing property with great accommodations. Loved the extra touches like fresh flowers in the rooms! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 22:I know its an english hotel trait but tea and coffee in the room we could make ourselves would have been welcomed. Also would have been nice to have robes available at the spa instead of a small towel. Lastly at every spa I have bern to and had a treatment there has always been a wster vooler and also the offer of herbal tea post treatment.

Review 23:We had a wonderful stay despite at times some inclement weather. A beautiful setting to relax made possible by the attentive and warm staff. Walking along the beach in the late afternoon into Honfleur was a sheer joy making the location just outside the town perfect.

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:We loved this hotel, gorgeous setting, wonderful service, we can only highly recommend. We really want to go back soon. This is a gem of a place

Review 26:To expensive Pais on a normal week day 395 eur the room For breakfast another 20 eur!!!!! Spa was closed!

Review 27:Service people very kind Wonderfull breakfast Authenticity of the building

Review 28:I LOVED Le Manoir! This place is stunning. Everyone is so nice and extremely accommodating. The spa experience was also incredible. Honfleur is such a cute town and this was the perfect place to end our honeymoon vacation in France.

Review 29:We have younger children, they loved running in the yard and exploring the property a bit. I did feel a bit uncomfortable with my worry that they might be bothering the other guests. It is a quiet spot.

Review 30:The owner was so charming and the details of the rooms and the little touches of personality were well done. The lawn was beautiful and the atmosphere was tranquil. Lovely setting, quiet break, and and such a treat.

Review 31:Just lovely house and grounds. Looks like a Disney house! The staff was warm and friendly and the spa was very peaceful. We would absolutely go back!!

Review 32:Although generally satisfied the Hotel is quite expensive. The fact that the menu does not change is perhaps a problem when staying for more than three or four nights.

Review 33:Owner and staff were excellent. Recommendations for places to visit were very good. Food was very good. As we stayed for seven nights we were offered non menu items on our last night which was much appreciated.

Review 34:Staff was confused about breakfast servings, and pricing of spa services. They tried to be nice bit were always questioning what they were doing. Towels and bathrobes were worn and appeared grey, instead of white with age. Lack of any floor covering made the decor seem cold. .

Review 35:Location and decor of dining room and outside sitting area. The New spa is well designed.

Review 36:This is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. Friendly and relaxing in beautiful grounds. Fantastic food and the proprietor and staff couldn't have been more helpful. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Review 37:Accommodation was a little tired - towels for example were dowdy - clean but frayed - had seen better days. Small detail perhaps but took the shine off a little.

Review 38:Superb staff. Really couldn't do enough for us. Genuinely felt like a home from home. Really good food and service. All round experience was excellent.

Review 39:The Manoir is in a great position overlooking the estuary with a beautiful garden and very comfortable accomodation. It is a short walk into Honfleur which makes it more peaceful than being in the centre of Honfleur. Very friendly staff, family run and rather like staying in an English country house hotel with French food.

Review 40:The spa was minimal and we also felt that breakfast should be included for the price we were paying.

Review 41:We liked the proximity to town and being able to walk through a lovely area, go to a restaurant in the evening and walk back in the dark along a well lit road. The staff were very congenial and accommodating.

Review 42:Room was called a cosy room which it was - but very low ceilings as it was in the eaves - kept banging my head when I got out/in bed! Bathroom needed updating, shower extremely small and grubby black grout on tiles. Toiletries could have been better, and cleanliness in bathroom was poor. Had a meal in the restaurant which was ok, but way to pricey! Breakfast was also very expensive, so we ate in honfleur which has a great selection of reasonably priced restaurants.

Review 43:Very attentive staff always at your disposal nothing was too much. Beautiful building and has parking. Very comfortable bed. Owner was lovely.

Review 44:Dinner on the first night was not that good: nothing too bad but somewhat disappointing

Review 45:Charming staff, lovely property, very nice bedroom

Review 46:Excellent service,great location,quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Review 47:Room was not made up until 5 pm after the first night which was annoying.

Review 48:Staff were exceptional Room was gorgeous and very comfortable.

Review 49:the spa costs 50 euro per person!!

Review 50:great staff

Review 51:the sea view

Review 52:Very friendly service, great location, very comfortable bed, beautiful room.

Review 53:nothing

Review 54:excellent service from helpful staff fabulous dinner and breakfast lovely location

Review 55:Poor quality of coffee In peak season parking in Honfleur is difficult; best to walk into town via the beach.

Review 56:Very friendly staff

Review 57:Food was of variable quality, wine list limited.

Review 58:Comfort and cleanliness of the hotel.

Review 59:Location, and ambience. Very relaxing.

Review 60:An extremely friendly and professionally run hotel.

Review 61:None

Review 62:Fabulous friendly staff

Review 63:No aircon.

Review 64:Excellent location. Lovely setting overlooking the sea, just round the corner from Horfleur.

Review 65:There were no bad experiences

Review 66:The location, the staff and the hotel.

Review 67:Beauty, comfort, helpfulness of staff

Review 68:Owner and hosts were very kind. The food was good. View from the manor was nice (garden and the ocean). Close enough to walk to downtown Honfleur.

Review 69:Friendly and open service of staff

Review 70:Wonderful!!!!! A no brainer

Review 71:Attentive and very friendly staff in a brilliant location

Review 72:weak wifi signal

Review 73:nice traditional interior calm place nice staff 15 min by easy walk to Honfleur

Review 74:Dessert

Review 75:A beautiful relaxing stay

Review 76:To pay 15 euros for bouchon right to expensive

Review 77:tired shower door

Review 78:The owners who are English / French. The view and the wonderful building. Service was excellent

Review 79:Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful without being invasive.

Review 80:we expected a more spacious room.

Review 81:bathroom luxurious and the breakfast was delicious

Review 82:Setting, friendliness, professionalism, advice on where to go, general ambience

Review 83:Ambience, views, tranquility

Review 84:Sea view Dinner

Review 85:Staff was excellent

Review 86:The room was poorly attended, the bathroom not well-cleaned. The diningroom service was poor and the food over-priced. Our feeling was thatthere was no-one of authority in charge at night. The staff are youngand pleasant but could use some serious training.

Review 87:The setting is beautiful and the owner is a delightful, charming woman, helpful in providing much useful information about the area. Our roomwas spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful.

Review 88:Trivial criticism but very noisy creaky stairs--probably not surprising in an old manoir.

Review 89:Staff appeared to be part of one large caring family and guests were made to feel part of the family. Individual needs were assiduously catered for . Beautiful well-kept gardens-- soothing for the soul!!!

Review 90:Nothing I didn't like....

Review 91:The staff were very welcoming and made sure we were happy with everything....it seemed we could approach them if we needed to and they would be happy to be of assistance. The girl on reception ordered a taxi to take us into town and, when it was late arriving, she gave us apple juice and some nibbles courtesy of the hotel.

Review 92:I did not eat in the hotel's restaurant for dinner as I thought the menu was rather uninspiring, and certainly overpriced, for what was on offer. With so many excellent restaurants to choose from in Honfleur, it is very disappointing that the hotel's restaurant does not offer a more interesting menu, especially with the wonderful selection of fish and seafood that is readily available on the Normandy coast. The hotel's restaurant menu appeared to be identical on the two evenings of my stay. This seemed very unexciting.

Review 93:This is a charming Norman manor house in a delightful setting. It is very quiet and peaceful and there is easy parking outside the hotel. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

Review 94:Didn't expect Honfleur to be so heavily touristified.

Review 95:Ambience of 16th C former residence. Friendly interaction with other guests in small (12 room) hotel.

Review 96:This is a fabulous small hotel. The staff are welcoming and efficient, the setting is beautiful and the room (we were in room 2) was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, eating instead at the related seafood restaurant a couple of miles away, which was also great. A really beautiful hotel for a short break.

Review 97:No complaints.

Review 98:Marvelous place! Perfectly located on the outskirts of town w/ aview of Le Havre across the estuary. Families, couples, younger and olderenjoy the easy, comfortable, and spacious setting. Staff is lovely.

Review 99:maybe should plan to have bicycles for customer use. Maybe they were, i didn't ask..

Review 100:Location is very nice, on a hill, surrounded by a splendid, very well maintenance and big garden. View is very nice : garden or garden+sea view. The Manoir is has no vis-a-vis neighbours, so really refreshing, knowing the city center is just 15min walk, and 3min by car. Very peaceful place comparing to the tiny noisy and buzzy city center with all tourists all around. We spent more time enjoying the hotel than touring the city. Very nice and ideal for couples. The staff is very very warm helpful and welcoming (much above average), hotel familly owner always around, totally different mood than big chains hotel. Breakfast in tye garden with sea view is breathtaking. Our Room look renewed, free passwordless wifi, clean, nice bathroom. A must i think, if stop by honfleur. Better than some 5 star in Deauville we have been.

Review 101:The view of the beach/sea is realistic but it does not show the view of the port in Le Havre and the estuary is a buy shipping lane. The French do not seem to be deterred but it did put me off swimming.

Review 102:The hotel is beautiful and a real taste of luxury. The stay was a birthday treat for a friend and it lived up to expectations. The staff were excellent, helpful and attentive, they couldn't do enough.

Review 103:i liked everything about this hotel. need to note: no elevator, i did not mind.you get help from the staff. also- afternoon can be hot in the romms facing the beach( afternoon sun) so ask for a/c , they have portable ones.also bring anti mosquito cream for evening outside.no minibar in room. no kettle in the room but they have 24 bar open.note- not all rooms are the same by size, side and decoration.

Review 104:the location is the best!! the hotel is a gem, beaytiful, calm, great service. brakfast was very good, local products.the staff- is caring and attentive. i felt at home!! room decoration is unic wi-fi very good and free. privet parking in place.the garden is magnificant! the sunset - the best!! they have a good bar for drinks.good restuarant ,very good chef!!. food and bavarage are not cheap , but very good. this hotel realy spoils you!! it is also not far form Honfleur by foot. and you can walk along the beach. it is so beautiful!! .

Review 105:we liked the personal touch with a welcoming hand written note in our room. The hotel had a friendly and relaxed feel. The attention to detail was excellent, and the chef provided a superb meal.

Review 106:Bathroom had bath and shower but shower cubicle was so small you could not bend down to pick up soap! They would be better placed getting rid of it completely and having shower in bath.

Review 107:Hotel was in excellent location and very well managed

Review 108:The shower is really small. And...well...maybe it was just that weekend, but my husband and I felt like teenagers among the other guests - and we are 55 and 53 years old...

Review 109:Staff is excellent. Restaurant with good food, a little bit expensive. House is very charming, amazing ocean views. Honfleur is a little charming town.

Review 110:Location outside Honfleur ...an easy walk into town to explore but then also allowed for quiet evenings. The food was wonderful and the staff all very friendly and accomodating. Beautiful spot to watch the sun set!

Review 111:The cosy room was far too small although very nicely decorated, could do with a dressing table, not conducive to room service. The cuisine was well overpriced and although well presented did not show a lot of culinary skill and the choice was very limited

Review 112:The staff and the accomodation and the location.

Review 113:The food in the restaurant was lovely but some of the main courses were ridiculously small for the price.

Review 114:Hotel was very comfortable with wonderful views. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Someone was always on hand and advise on places to visit. Flowers and written greeting in the room was a nice touch and it was pleasant to come back in the evening to the curtains drawn and the side lights on.

Review 115:The rain!

Review 116:This is a lovely hotel ideally situated on the outskirts of Honfleuroverlooking the Seine estuary. I cannot praise it highly enough.Everything about it was perfect from the lovely room and breakfast tothe superb restaurant. The owner and her team were exceptional and wentout of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Review 117:very friendly staff. carried our bags up. very nice room. delicious dinner. the most quiet hotel room I have stayed in with a very comfortable large bed.

Review 118:Lovely hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful going out of theirway to give us information on a hotel on our way down through France ata point we wanted to spend the night. We didnt try the restaurant butthe hotel and it's rooms were beautiful and full of character.

Review 119:Coffee could be better.

Review 120:Everything there was perfect. A special hotel with only 7 rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely furnished and make a real difference to a standard hotel room

Review 121:What a wonderful place! The staff was beyond wonderful. The house was gorgeous. The in-house restaurant, should you chose to go, the best in Honfleur. We could walk into town in 15 minutes along a beautiful road, or stroll along the beach if we preferred. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The Fine Print

Please note that the restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday for dinner and Saturday and Sunday for lunch as well.
