Reviews for d'Parys
Review 1:We were a little disappointed in the size of the room, as we booked what was described as a deluxe king size room, which didn't seem to match the wide angled photographs that had been used for advertisement. Also the sink struggled to release any water and we had to resort to using the shower to wash, shave and clean teeth.
Review 2:The hotel staff were hard working, very helpful and a credit to the company. We did not get the opportunity to have an evening meal, but the breakfast menu would meet most people's requirements and the food was very tasty.
Review 3:Breakfast isn't usually cooked very well, bad poached eggs and the pancakes are terrible. In most rooms the toilet is in a cupboard in the room, and on some of these it is too small to comfortably close the door.
Review 4:Well decorated rooms, friendly service.
Review 5:Cheap loo roll. Nespresso machine didn't work. Leaving at 7am meant we missed breakfast.
Review 6:Friendly staff. Great cocktails. Yummy food. Beautiful room.
Review 7:Very noisy neighbours woken up through out the night only managed 4 hour sleep...., would suggest thicker walls!! The light in our rooms was not working and was flashing through out, it was either flashing lights or having to turn it off and sit in the dark.
Review 8:I loved the rooms, the style of the venue and rooms.
Review 9:After having a lovely night in this hotel our bubble was unfortunately burst when entering the restaurant this morning. Firstly there was no one to greet us and show us were to sit. When we did sit down we were told by 'THE MAN WITH THE THIN MOUSTACH' (waiter) that we were sitting in the wrong area for breakfast. We moved and sat in the breakfast area where we waited and waited and waited. After waiting for about 15 minutes and no one tending to us, my partner approached 'THE MAN' to ask for a breakfast menu. 'THE MAN' was very patronising and told my partner to 'relax' in a very patronising tone. He said that he would bring us a menu. We waited for him to bring our menu and in the meantime we found the continental breakfast table where we helped ourselves to orange juice and toast. It was 30 minutes before we got our menu, 45 minutes before we got our tea and coffee and 1 hour before getting our full english breakfast. When the breakfasts did come we were 1 short. My partner approched 'THE MAN' to explain that we were 1 breakfast short and his response was rude and unapologetic saying 'it has to cook'. The missing breakfast was sitting on the side waiting for 'THE MAN' to bring it to us only he was too busy chit chatting! We have never experienced poor customer service as we did this morning. Absolutely disgusting. We were made to feel like we were a nuisance. As paying customers visiting the hotel we expected to be welcomed and taken care of. That 'MAN' waiter needs to go on a training course and he also needs to learn some manners.
Review 10:I loved everything about the hotel. The location, decor, facilities etc were all fantastic. Shame about the man with the thin moustach!!! who ruined our morning and breakfast.
Review 11:And then we woke up for breakfast. Came downstairs as family of 5. No one said goodmorning and explained where to sit. We sat at the table and we have been told we need move as this is not breakfast table. We moved and waited. After some time I asked if there is breakfast menu. He told me to relax and wait. We waited 30 minutes and eventually went to look for menus ourselves.. Few minutes later guy came and took order not even saying good morning. We waited 15 minutes for our coffes and teas... And then another 15 minutes for breakfast but not all of it. 1 breakfast for my nephew was missing. I saw it dished up in kitchen but waiter seemed to not bothered about it and was on the phone and speaking with other customers. I went to ask him for it and he had a go at me saying IT HAS TO BE COOKED! I said it is cooked and you know it pointing at plate with full english breakfast. We have been waiting over an hour for breakfast and we would be waiting longer if we didnt ask for it and find our menus... Please note that there was only 2 or 3 tables occupied apart from us so it was not busy at all. We complained at checkout to someone else and we are waiting for manager to contact us. Such a shame as this hotel looks very lovely and we have had great night sleep and relax in the room! This horrible man spoiled everything. Not even say sorry!
Review 12:Lovely hotel. Beautiful inside, vintage interior with style. Very warm and coasy rooms. Lovely bath and shower. Couldnt complain at all...
Review 13:Only a small point...Nespresso machine fine for coffee drinkers, but a kettle in the bedroom would have made better tea!
Review 14:Wonderful luxurious four poster bed, down duvet and relaxing in the twin baths for our wedding anniversary! Loved the quirky, shabby chic decor, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Quiet residential street, yet only 5 minutes' walk from town centre shops, restaurants, etc.
Review 15:We were very put off by the toilet being in the same room! By that I mean all you had for privacy was a frosted glass wall and toilet door, with a hole in it about 50mm round. The shower for our double deluxe room was over the bath, meaning when you tried to wash your hair, most of the water went over the floor and you could not have a shower. The only way we managed to wash our hair was helping each other. We had to ask for the coffee and tea to be restocked, it was clear it had not been checked as an open biscuit packet was on the tray. The wardrobe was made entirely of glass! Not practical or safe. Our evening meal we had in the hotel was completely wrong, so much so we had to send it back. In their defence the only pleasant waitress (that was rushed off her feet) as it didn’t appear there was anyone sorting out who looked after what tables. There was a manager walking around but doing very little. The waiter for breakfast was very rude and our half a cup of coffee each was disappointing, strange to find a hotel where they never check how your evening meal or breakfast is. We have stayed in boutique style hotels before but have never seen this standard ever. I have been using this site for more years then I can remember, this is the first and I hope the last time I have to write a review like this. Would we stay here again NEVER
Review 16:The bed was very comfortable
Review 17:The restaurant staff need to be more attentive to waiting on customers as we were left waiting for over 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, however the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious but again there was only one waitress attending to approximately 16 people so we were left waiting once again.
Review 18:We stayed in room 9 which was on the top floor and so lovely!!The room had a victorian style free standing bath which was fabulous. Room was clean and had a quirky decor and the bed was reasonably comfortable. I would definately recommend to friends and will return.
Review 19:No problem with the hotel itself but was just disappointed to be woken through the night by people standing at the front of the hotel after leaving and waiting for taxis.
Review 20:Lovely room and very comfortable bed and linen. Really helpful staff and enjoyed a really nice meal in the restraint.
Review 21:We stayed on New Years Eve as a treat and on getting ready to go out found that there was no cold water so could not use the bath and went out with wet hair. The manager explained that others had the same issue but made no effort to compensate us in any way. Ruined our night and was handled badly. We left our details for the manager to call and sort it out afterwards but no word yet, I suspect he won't bother. Very disappointing handling of the issue we won't be going back. also the see through toilet door did not exactly create a romantic atmosphere in the room!
Review 22:Location and breakfast were good
Review 23:The room layout very strange with the toilet in a glass box in the corner of the room and the shower/ bath in the bed room very strange
Review 24:Food fantastic
Review 25:no light over basin so could not see to put makeup on. A full length mirror would have been nice as we were going out to a party so wanted to check our outfits before leaving. We were given a breakfast menu with price, this was confusing so I mentioned to the waiter that I thought the breakfast was included,to which he replied "if it was not included would it make a difference? well actually no, as my husband and I cannot manage a full English breakfast, I found his attitude offensive.
Review 26:The room was clean, fast checkin. Nice decor in restaurant.
Review 27:Beautiful hotel, really lovely staff. Our room was quite noisy the first night but the staff were fabulous and moved us to another room. They were both amazing but the second room was superb. Food was brilliant.
Review 28:Missing water and staying over Christmas it would have been nice to have extra towells and toilet paper to make up for the fact that services were shut. We stayed in the out house (room 14) and there are no phones out there in the wilderness.
Review 29:Lovely staff, great room, the bed was super comfy and it eas really spacious and homely. food was delicious too.
Review 30:Lights not working properly in bedroom. No separate shower & WC only partially separated from bedroom. Acknowledge that it was Christmas so very busy but in general the service for hotel guests was non-existent: the priority for D'Parys is clearly for pub & restaurant patrons, hotel guests are an after-thought. Breakfast offering was pretty basic and even eggs Benedict ordered as an extra were over cooked.
Review 31:The cosy appearance of the pub and bedroom.
Review 32:The quirky bedrooms, the service and the home comforts are excellent. Having been diagnosed with a gluten allergy we were concerned that my choices on their great restaurant menu would be restricted for me but I needn't have worried as Mel talked us through the menu at breakfast, lunch and dinner possibilities and some alternatives. There was no compromise on the quality or taste of the any of the meals.
Review 33:Although the room itself, the hallways and the main public areas were very clean, the carpet on the back stairs, which I had to access late on Christmas evening was filthy and the smell of stale food permeated. Some of the staff were really friendly and welcoming, particularly those I was greeted by, but some were a little off-hand.
Review 34:The room itself and room facilities were really excellent. Extremely comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Also the room was impeccably clean.
Review 35:the price of food and drinks. Latte £3.50 was overpriced. Sorbet at £2.50 a scoop ridiculous. And if we had to pay for our breakfast x2 latte and x2 eggs benedict which to be honest was a small portion with little hollandaise sauce it would have £20. Food not great along with price.
Review 36:the room was amazing, especially the bath tub and the bed was so comfy.
Review 37:We have stayed twice, different rooms both were fantastic great decor, very comfy and cozy everything you need. Great breakfast choice which was included in the price.
Review 38:We had an issue with the plumbing, dirty water came up the shower when the bath was being emptied. Called the manager and he was very apologetic and moved us to another room, promise of a couple of drinks didn't materialise, but it was busy. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Review 39:Slipper bath in the bedroom, four poster bed and discreet lighting
Review 40:Staff at breakfast moaning to eachother about other staff, not very professional. Not this time but some rooms can be very noisey
Review 41:large comfortable room, very comfortable bed, nice and quiet. Delicious breakfast
Review 42:Toilet in the room, even though it was behind frosted glass was a little I'm personal
Review 43:Fantastic location, wonderful quirky hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful food. Will definitely return. Thank you
Review 44:We were advised wrongly about booking dinners as guests so we had to wait over a hour to be seated and ended up eating at 10pm when we had asked for a table at 8pm - this was very frustrating however the head waiter was soon to apologies and we received our desert and a drink FOC
Review 45:The bed and bath combined was lovely
Review 46:Slippers not supplied to walk on bare wooden floors in the bedroom and cold tiles in the bathroom.Room in an outside shed like space with door facing the back of the kitchen. Had view of kitchen staff smoking throughout day and night. Random car parked outside door to room. Had noise of the bins being dragged and cars. Reception was the bar and deli, no specific designated space. Reception managed by bar staff, therefore had to queue behind punters. it felt more like a BNB than a hotel. No view of Bedford as ground floor. Breakfast options limited for non pork eaters. Late checkout not accommodated, even though booking.com had responded that the hotel would discuss it with me on check in. Nothing mentioned until I asked at breakfast. Poor service at dinner, staff didn't know the name for the reservation of the table.Service of starters disorganized and slow.
Review 47:Roll top bath. Comfortable bed. Nicely decorated room.Italian ice cream for sale. Location 10 minutes walk into town. Ironing board brought to the room within 5 minutes of request. Food at dinner and breakfast tasty and nice presentation. Help with Birthday cake and staff sang.
Review 48:Rattly bedroom window (but it was very windy) Bedroom too hot - couldn't adjust radiator?
Review 49:Comfortable bed Great bar/restaurant and great fish & chips
Review 50:The bath in the middle of the room, completely open glass shower and frosted glass toilet. Two lights did not work, that were reported but still not replaced/repaired. One blind similarly did not work.
Review 51:Restaurant was quite good and looked nice but 2 meals out of 8 had to be returned or had a significant problem.
Review 52:Only disappointment was in the resturant having to ask/prompt for items would expect automatic as part of service. E.g. no spoons avaliable, no plates for toast at breakfast etc. But no big complaints.
Review 53:Brilliant room. Just what We needed for birthday celebration weekend away.Able to relax & lovely food & drink to enjoy. Love the Ales & rooms named after ales.
Review 54:Evening dinner when the staff disappeared and think a manger was in. I was a lone female guest and not once did he come over to check if all was ok. I would have had dessert, coffee and wanted decaf for my room (no phones in room) but to no avail. I am coming back to stay so next time maybe I have to stand and wave. Check out hmmm. Poor guy was on his own and doing all the breakfasts and manager too busy on phone. However when he did come to check me out was very nice when I told him they forgot to put my dinner in the bill. Refunded me a g&t. Suitcase took hour after asking to come and taxi waited and missed train but plenty more! I love the atmosphere, ambience, rooms, food and young staff but maybe need more hands on deck at certain times. That little niggles are only human and don't out me off. I will be back!
Review 55:Loved the warm, friendly staff. The room was lovely and the bed amazing!! I stayed in the Russian room and needed peace and quiet and got it. Food was great. The breakfast cooked to order was delicious!! Slept so well for the first time in weeks due to work stress and move north. Definitely recommending it for a fabulous place to stay. I loved it.
Review 56:Just loved it all
Review 57:Combined old & Modern look but just so tasteful, the ambiance of the whole place mmmm, spacious restaurant & good food, ample parking, comfy bed with great quality linen . .....oh and I love the space and light in the bath room created by those clever opaque glass walls.
Review 58:At about 12am we noticed that the sideboard on the bed was becoming detached from the rest of the bed. We ended up stuffing cushions under the side of the bed to make sure it didn't collapse! On checkout the girl didn't ask how our stay was and simply said bye and carried on what she was doing.
Review 59:I can't remember their names, but the guy who checked us in and showed us to our room and the guy who served us at Dinner were fantastic!! Location was great and room was stunning!
Review 60:Lovely atmosphere in wine bar downstairs . Beds v comfortable . Good onsite parking .Friendly staff. V good breakfast . Overall excellent value for money
Review 61:A great place to stay in Bedford; a wide, tree-lined quiet residential street but within easy walking distance of town. It's clearly a busy bar and restaurant - for obvious reasons once I've been there - with very comfortable, boutique style rooms. I shall be back.
Review 62:Surprisingly busy bar and restaurant (the 'happening' scene in town?) on a Saturday night but despite being so full we ate well, were looked after well and slept well in quiet, comfy rooms. Very good breakfast. I'd certainly book again if I was to revist Bedford.
Review 63:Weird room set up, glad I was there alone and it's definately not suitable for a couple who didn't know each other well. Loo was a frosted glass cubby hole with a big open circle for a handle so definitely not odor proof! Shower was separate see-through glass cubicle. Bath was a lovely roll top one in the middle of the room. Shower gel was half empty so had been pre-used. Breakfast advertised 'lovely fluffy pancakes' that were actually undercooked eggy soggy circles.
Review 64:The hotel is bijou and had a great bar and large restaurant Despite the weird bathroom set up, the room(number 7) was gorgeous, contemporary and comfortable. The bed was wonderfully cosy and comfortable..The staff, especially the trainee assistant manager were very friendly and attentive despite ignoring the very, very loud group of people at the bar who were swearing obscenely. I am broad minded but had to complain to the waitress and ask her to tell this group to stop giving Nazi salutes. She didn't tell them but luckily they left soon after. A bargain offer on a Sunday night -£50 but I'm not sure I would pay £105, the usual price.
Review 65:The hotel has standard rooms, although all are different and tastefully done. They als have luxury rooms. The booking.com website describes the rooms advertised as luxury ( they are all good) but we got the standard room type. Bit disappointed by this.
Review 66:Modern feel and good environment to eat and drink. Close to town cetre I.e. Walkable
Review 67:As an experienced mystery shopper, it is always hard to resist commenting on minor details. I did find the new lighting in a traditional-styled room to be odd, as there was no lightswitch by the toilet (encased in a cubicle with obscured glass). We also had to wait an hour for a table, but pleased to be given free drinks!
Review 68:Location - within easy walking distance of Bedford Town Centre Our room was quirky and novel. Ideal for those wanting to stay somewhere different as clearly this hotel is not part of chain.. Accommodation is over the restaurant, but we heard no noise!
Review 69:Limited car parking, no room, had to park in street and risk getting a ticket, as it is a ticket machine with limited timed parking. Booked an "executive room" with bath - was a standard double room with no bath. Toilet no privacy at all, telephoned prior to stay with concerns but was assured it was a very private cubicle - it's not, it has a rather large hole in the glass to use as a handle - you can see very clearly through it. We were located on the top floor, 3rd floor, no lift, and no offer of help to carry heavy bags up staircase. 1 sachet of coffee allocated in room for the coffee machine. Tried to settle the bill with Amex, wouldn't accept, even though it's the same card that I used to reserve/book the room through booking - lucky I had other means of payment. Very disappointing, as although we booked at a discounted weekend rate, there were plenty of other options that I wish I had opted for. They were not the only place offering deals - will not be returning.
Review 70:Bed was comfortable.
Review 71:Slightly noisy because of the wooden floors and public bathroom next to our bedroom.
Review 72:Great hotel, beautiful rooms and excellent patio area. Restaurant nicely done out. Nice atmosphere
Review 73:Terrible wifi. Didn't sleep due to noise from bottle bins being emptied and some sort of banging. Also there was a constant noise from the external vent unit below the main window (maybe kitchen extraction unit?)
Review 74:Lovely looking room, very nice breakfast and friendly staff
Review 75:Staff needed a little more consitancy with greetings etc. Breakfast a little dry for a fry up.
Review 76:The room was absolutely brilliant. Walk in shower. Huge bath. Very well designed.
Review 77:felt very strange to have translucent doors on the toilet also walked into the completely transparent glass shower door, we thought it should have been frosted or at least partially frosted for safety.
Review 78:The location and building was beautiful. Very refreshing to see an old building refurbished in a unique way. The interior was imaginatively quirky and eccentrically furnished. We loved it!
Review 79:Not suitable for older travellers - no separate bathroom, bath/shower in bedroom. Sink did not drain, bulb missing from bedside lamp, few surfaces to place effects.
Review 80:Friendly staff, restaurant ambience
Review 81:The service wasn't great. Some youngsters who seemed to wander aimlessly were delightful if not efficient. We anticipated, and were right in our assessment that the bill would be incorrect in the morning. Items not had were included and this was down to the chaotic approach. Would stay again but would like to sign for food and in particular drinks as you go to save the audit in the morning.
Review 82:The hotel is very nice. The rooms are great. Spacious and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.
Review 83:Details about having breakfast were a little lack the first morning where we had to go and find someone, but the 2nd morning the young girl was very attentive.
Review 84:The whole atmosphere and quirky details, Room 3 is amazing
Review 85:The restaurant/bar is one of the best we have been to, food, staff and atmosphere were all amazing. The room had bags of character, watching tv in the bath was a highlight!
Review 86:There was a nasty smell of hydrogen sulphide rotten eggs) in the room. We would not have stayed another night. We a;;so reported that one of the basins was blocked
Review 87:Friendliness of the staff
Review 88:The only downside to our stay is that we were woken up by the fire alarm on or first night, and then after that had stopped, we were woken up again by the sounds of a street fight going on outside - not the hotel's fault at all, but the noise did carry.
Review 89:I loved the decor and the presentation of the room - simply fabulous! The staff were very friendly and accomodating, they couldn't do enough for you. The food was delicious - we had dinner there on our first night and loved it. The pancakes for breakfast weren't to my taste but the French toast was lovely.
Review 90:We didn't have a bad experience. The only 'down' side is that the toilet being in the same room was a bit weird. We didn't feel we had enough privacy. Other than that, we had a great experience.
Review 91:We stayed in Room 6. It was a lovely, quirky room. An eclectic mix of ultra modern and Victorian chic. All the amenities were actually part of the room but, somehow, it worked. The staff were lovely. Very accommodating. A very nice experience. Next time we'll stay for dinner.
Review 92:Don't be put off by the exterior which looks a bit 'goth' style. Breakfast a bit slow but varied - excellent fresh orange juice
Review 93:This hotel is quirky with bedrooms in the main part of the property and what looks to be converted garages to the rear. The bedroom we had has a roll top bath and the sink in the main room with the toilet and rainforest shower in a frosted glass area. The wardrobe is clear glass and the bed is a sleigh type (very comfortable0 The food is great and the staff excellent.
Review 94:We had a small issue with our starter - however Charlie and Rob sorted this out straight away and resolved the issue. Great to see them providing an excellent service. Get the chef to be more creative with the mains! :)
Review 95:Fantastic welcome from Rob, we were treated extremely well from start to finish. Room was out of this world and the food was very good.
Review 96:Towels were dirty, milk in the room was off and it was a little unclear at times where to go i.e. to check in / go for breakfast but other than that, not bad.
Review 97:I really liked the layout of the room and how cosy it felt.
Review 98:The room was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times. The food was first class and excellent value. Staying at d'Parys was a really enjoyable experience in all respects. We can't wait to go again!
Review 99:The stair carpet leading up to our room was grubby and the walls were scuffed - I was hoping the room didn't reflect this. Luckily it didn't!
Review 100:Very nice room with very comfortable bed. Nice touch with the Nespresso coffee maker too. Lovely evening meal with an excellent cooked breakfast the following morning. Would definitely return.
Review 101:Loved the quirky nature of the decor and the chilled feel & style of the bar and restaurant. Menu very good also. A real oasis. Great staff, nothing seemed too much trouble.
Review 102:The fact that when we arrived, they had no record of our booking through booking.com!! Not happy. Just feel that maybe the room wasn't as good as the one they might have reserved for us originally when the booking was made back in June. Apart from they stay was excellent.
Review 103:Nothing, loved it.
Review 104:Excellent food "Sea food linguine was the best pasta dish I've ever had" Just book it if you want real food in a vibrant location !
Review 105:Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Had dinner in the restaurant, food was delicious but wait between starter and main was over half an hour.. we weren't in a rush so didn't complain at the time. Room was beautiful, most comfortable bed ever!
Review 106:Most comfortable hotel bed and pillows in a beautiful room; really good powerful shower (and separate bath); very helpful staff all of them appeared to have pleasing personalities.... all followed up by a scrummy breakfast from a long and varied breakfast menu ... thank you; will be back!
Review 107:Breakfast took an hour to arrive and when it arrives the order was incorrect.
Review 108:The rooms are gorgeous, amazing style and decor! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 109:Stayed in room downstairs in separate block and staff were noisy on occasion when taking break outside rear of kitchen.
Review 110:Décor and garden; Really comfortable bed although linen had come apart at seam; Fantastic breakfast and evening meal.
Review 111:Poor wifi in room breakfast service was very poor when the food came it was excellent Continental selection was very poor had to ask for tea Breakfast service needs an overhaul
Review 112:Excellent hotel had the wow factor, very good food and friendly staff
Review 113:Nothing, everything was first class
Review 114:Excellent stay for one night as part of our honeymoon break away. The deluxe room we had certainly had a wow factor with 2 roll top baths and a 4 poster bed. The restaurant area is beautifully decorated and the food was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly. We would definitely return again.
Review 115:I wouldn't call it a "bad" experience but, if you are susceptive to noise, get a room that isn't above the kitchen as you can hear the exhaust fan very clearly plus the muffled staff talking and a radio. It isn't terrible however, plus it quiets down after midnight. Again this is only for a room above the kitchen.
Review 116:It's close to a lot of restaurants and shopping (within easy walking distance) plus there a couple of grocery stores nearby. It's reasonably close to the train station, and cabs come quickly. The staff and the atmosphere are very friendly plus the staff was top notch.
Review 117:I didn't like the bath/shower and toilet in the same room as the bed and there was someone's shoe left under the bed but other than that a nice room
Review 118:The staff was very friendly and it was in a good location
Review 119:Wi-fi connection wasn't great but didn't affect us.
Review 120:The food was stunning, the bed was by far the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept in, the staff were very friendly, the location was perfect right near Bedford centre, the decor was really very captivating... highly recommended!
Review 121:In the morning there were only two members of staff on duty. A young girl taking bookings while trying to serve breakfast. And a young very stressed lad cooking. The food was extremely disappointing for a hotel which boasts about its excellent restaurant . Very disaapointing !
Review 122:Location & room.
Review 123:Everything. Loved the quirky nature of the place. Great food. Fantastic staff, so helpful and charming. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are amazing. Beds so comfortable I took the details of every bit of bedding. Toptastic. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Review 124:Superb hotel , not the cheapest , but worth every penny.we were staying there for the happy Mondays gig which was oy a couple of hundred yards away from the hotel. Room was excellent . We were in the double chocolate room 10. Staff were nice and the breakfast was lovely
Review 125:Stairs carpet looked a little past it's best. Would have liked a better fruit selection at breakfast. Car park quite small, would recommend parking away from lunch or evening times to get a space. Room needed a bigger TV for size.
Review 126:Excellent selection of food and wine with great service. Lovely comfy bed and great coffee in room. Really enjoyed our stay and the negatives the only things we could think of and minor.
Review 127:WiFi was extremely poor and did not work at all in room. In the defence of the hotel I did not raise this issue with anyone, as I'm sure they would have done all they could to help me resolve this.
Review 128:Beautifully decorated, excellent staff and convenient location.
Review 129:Only down was we were next to the toilets for the whole place which was a little noisy at times.
Review 130:Everything was excellent, food, accommodation, service. A chic place to stay.
Review 131:Disappointed in my evening meal however the lunch menu was really enjoyable and good value
Review 132:The whole ambience of the hotel. The Décor was very intriguing and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and had time to chat
Review 133:Having enjoyed fresh orange juice with breakfast our first morning, it was disappointing to have 'standard boxed' juice the second day.
Review 134:The friendliness and helpfulness of the whole team combined with the quality of the food and excellent wine menu. Being able to sit outside on the decking for breakfast and then to read the papers, following a short stroll into Bedford, before before going to a wedding was relaxing and very much appreciated.
Review 135:no lift - no gym - no pool - Wi Fi Poor - 2nd night was very poor service in restaurant - wooden floors in bedrooms - ,
Review 136:they have remembered the bed comfort is most important - food great Choices fair - Breakfast freshly cooked - good beers and premium lagers - plenty of Parking - walking distance into town
