Scandic Patria is a quarter mile from the 17th-century Lappeenranta Fortress and just over one mile from Lappeenranta Train Station. Its air-conditioned rooms have a 32-inch TV. Gym and sauna access is free.
Some of Patria’s rooms have a balcony offering views of Lake Saimaa or Pusupuisto Park.

Review 1：We wished the beds didn't pull apart; that the twin beds were joined and truly created a large bed.

Review 2：The selection and quality of breakfast, and the night before, the excellent dinner in the restaurant.

Review 3：Really old fashioned, carpet and decoration was awful and the price we paid for one nigth was honestly too high. The view from the balcony was just the parking lot. If you stay one nigth ok, but you better go out to have breakfast.

Review 7：Lots of Finnish variety at the breakfast - berries, breads, cereals - delicious. Lovely, comfortable, clean hotel with a view of the park from our balcony and very near the lake. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It was important for our holiday as this was our dream trip from the UK to Finland to see the lake and landscape, so having a lovely hotel to relax in was great. Very near town too. There was a sauna and Jacuzzi for women's times then men's, this was very nice too. The staff were friendly and helpful such as when we needed advice about souvenirs. We liked the landscape designs in the elevators too. Great hotel.

Review 38：Again stayed in this hotel on the way to Scandinavia. Compared with previous years, people have become much more, and for breakfast as well. Breakfasts have become more scarce. The rest - the same average hotel.

Breakfast could be much more rich andample, the hours when the sauna is open are downright inconvenient, thesize of the room is minuscule. We've stayed in numerous Scandichotels in Finland, Sweden and Norway before; this is by far the mostdissatisfying... I don't think we'd like to stay there again...

Review 79：A very comfortable and easy-to-find hotel. We liked it more than Scandic Kajaanus: the hotel is smaller therefore cozier. Very convenient parking lot, comfortable rooms. A bath and under-floor heating in the bathroom is a definite advantage. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the restaurant and the bar are comfortable and well-designed. Choice of meals for breakfast was great.

Review 80：For the money i paid this hotel has small rooms, it was too cool in the rooms, disgusting smell of sewer in the room and in the corridor. The free parking was full of snow heaps and hugger-mugger cars.

On this trip public parking near the hotel and the courtyard was unpeeled from the snow, which greatly complicates the search for a parking space, but it's probably a question for the city administration.
