Reviews for Hôtel Océanic
Review 1:No coffee facilities in room , however provided on request. The bathroom was modern, however the room needs new carpets as it was a little dated. The lift is very small and only goes to the 5th floor.
Review 2:The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was not far from the metro. And the shower was so relaxing and warm. The room had great double glazing so could not here any traffic from outside.
Review 3:On some days I found the towels not very clean. I also found some unpleasant marks on my quilt although it is inside a clean cover. Also, it seems that all the rooms are furnished in different ways. We stayed in a triple room and later moved into a double room and a single room. For the triple room, it is generally good. The single room is really nice and cozy with old but lovely furnitures. but for the double room... it is very simple and basic, although it is charged higher... It is not a big problem, though, unless you compare what you pay and what you get with others...
Review 4:Good location, the street is not very noisy but it is close to a busy traffic junction, metro, a supermarket and Paris biggest shopping malls. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Some of them speak good English and are very responsive to requests, giving us much useful information and help. Wish them all the best in Paris.
Review 5:Paintwork (in room) a bit tired
Review 6:Location was fantastic (less than 5 Mins from Saint Lazare station) French windows Spacious room Plenty of storage (large wardrobe/closet) Helpful staff (AM & PM) Wifi
Review 7:Breakfast wasn't that good. Elevator was a bit difficult to work at times.
Review 8:Two minute walk to St Lazare train station and the Metro (underground.) Large, clean rooms. Easy walk to many of Paris' sights. Close to good shopping.
Review 9:Lovely room on top floor ...double doors and small balcony...overlooking traditional French boulevard. Nice atmosphere...felt homely and safe. Staff very helpful.
Review 10:We loved the hotel! Central location (3 min to Saint Augustin or Saint Lazare metro stations and 5 min to Auber RER). You can get anywhere by walking max 1h if you want. The room was clean & cosy, wi-fi worked. People who say the room is small, have not really seen what small means in Paris :-). Beds were comfortable and we liked the old furniture. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Excelent value for money, especially for central Paris.
Review 11:The very friendly and very patient stuff, the rooms are in good condition.Very good value and location.I will choose it again when I go to Paris next time.
Review 12:This was a very comfortable place for our family of 5 in a good location. It was a great value for Paris. The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was great.
Review 13:Noi am avut camera cu baie proprie insa era pe hol o baie comuna si se auzea totul din camera. Izolarea proasta a peretilor.
Review 14:Locatia, curatenia, confortul patului si faptul ca erau 2 paturi duble in camera avand in vedere ca suntem 2 adulti si 2 copii de 9 ani si 6 ani.Personal foarte amabil. Supermarket aproape.
Review 15:There is nothing that I didn't like... but breakfast could have had more options.
Review 16:The location of the hotel is excellent, very near to Saint-Lazare Metro Station and walkable distance to Opera and Madeliene. The services were very good and staff was very nice and cooperative. Hotel room was clean and cozy and with a good wifi connectivity. The bed was also very much comfortable. I loved and enjoyed the stay overall. Thank you!
Review 17:Very professional and friendly staff. They answer questions and help you with your queries in a competente and very caring well. They really care aboout their guests.Nice, spacious room, clean and cosy. Very well located in the 8th arrondissement, with two Metro Station very close.
Review 18:Very convenient location in city centre, just 2 minute walk to Metro station. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable. All staff are very friendly and helpful.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:Stayed in the family room for 5 - very spacious room with massive bathroom, king bed plus 3 full sized beds for children, also room situated at the back of the hotel so very quiet. Breakfast was also very good, just help yourself, plenty on offer. Excellent central location, metro just round the corner.
Review 21:No shower curtain on tub made it a challenge to shower without getting water on the floor.
Review 22:Reasonably priced, conveniently located, included free public travel pass for all the days here large comfortable room and had air conditioning!
Review 23:The only bad thing was the breakfast. Need improvement.
Review 24:We received upon arrival very friendliness staff that booked us in and she assisted us as far as possible regarding shuttles, restaurants and attractions. The room was nice and tidy with a typical Paris feeling to it. The bed was very comfortable and a nice spacious bathroom. It was perfect for our family of four. Would stay here again. Great location.
Review 25:This is obviously on the pricy side because of the location.
Review 26:Very nice hotel a few steps from Gare St Lazare. Friendly staff, spacious and beautiful room. The reception could prepare knives, plates, etc for free.
Review 27:If you open the window, there can be a little bit noisy because of the busy street. However you can still sleep.
Review 28:Bed was very comfortable. Rooms are clean. There was a nice breakfast and nice staff. Location is also good. Close to subway. If you like to walk, you can walk to champs-elysees too.
Review 29:The walls and door were thin, allowing all noise from the stairway into the room. We were awaken every day when the staff started to clean neighboring rooms.
Review 30:The location and closeness to Saint Lazard subway station.
Review 31:Old building and old stuffs inside the room. Too noisy, even we could hear someone talk outside the room.
Review 32:It's near by galleries Lafayette. Along the street we could find some varieties of food or restaurants.
Review 33:Location is good for us, close to metros and trains. Value for money at this hotel, large rooms which is unusual for Paris and at a good price. Staff speak English and looked after our bags while we went out around Paris. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Review 34:Location, friendly staff, big room, very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and view from the room (flowers and trees on the balcony), 24/7 reception. Near to metro and railway station. Perfect!
Review 35:Neighbours were noisy. I could hear the whole conversation in the middle of the night. Unfortunately the isolation of the was not good. The receptionist told us they will renovate in August.
Review 36:The location is great, it is near the station and food and shops are very close from the hotel. The room is very nice and the bed is very comfortable. There is also a balcony. The receptionists were very friendly. I would go back again!
Review 37:Nothing.
Review 38:Location was excellent. Easy to find. Only a short walk from the station. We were checked in 4 hours early, which having been up since 5am was fantastic. The rooms are small but have everything you need. We were given a quiet room at the back so not over the main road. Check out was quick and easy and being able to leav our luggage there for the day was invaluable. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.
Review 39:Price per room was expensive. But this problem is the problem all over Paris.
Review 40:We stayed in this hotel in January. This hotel is conveniently located. The room was quite spacious. Wi-Fi was very good. There are supermarkets, restaurants and metro station close and a public parking nearby. The staff was very friendly. We are highly grateful to receptionist Larissa. Dear Larissa, good health to you ! Have a good time!
Review 41:Very close to the Saint Lazarre Station. Nice and friendly staff. A clean and spacious room. Definately had a 3-star worth quality but for a 2-star price.
Review 42:Bathroom was in need of an overhaul, cracked basin and peeling paintwork. The coffee! Traffic noise could be a problem if you want to sleep with open windows (aircon for summer, we were there in autumn)
Review 43:Very friendly staff. Good sized family room with very good beds and windows that cut out the traffic noise. Reasonable breakfast, not the finest but very good value. Two well stocked supermarkets just across the road.
Review 44:If you need to keep the windows open the street noise is somewhat loud. Was able to sleep thru it but somewhat bothersome to get to sleep as our 2 large windows faced the street.
Review 45:The room was roomy and clean with an excellent location and friendly very helpful staff.
Review 46:I can't think of anything less than ideal.
Review 47:The location is amazing: convenient to everything. The room was spacious, elegant, & comfortable, with a small balcony looking over the street. The price was unbelievable compared to other places I looked at in the same area.
Review 48:we were staying in the hotel during weekend, the street is very busy, a lot of traffic even at night, a lot of noise and difficult to sleep. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 and there were not much left.
Review 49:We liked the location, close to Opera and there are several nice restaurants around. The staff is friendly and it is possible to ask for kettle and cups to the room. The room was quite big and very clean and there was a lift in the hotel.
Review 50:The AC stopped working in the middle of the night and the room was hot, stuffy and smelly, so we had a very poor sleep. The WIFI connected but was so weak it was useless. The toilet leaked so we were walking in pools of water all the time. The staff knew nothing about the AC and offered no help. We left.
Review 51:Rooms were large and spacious with large bathroom plenty of room for the four of us in our room and three in the other without tripping over anyone or thing. - location was fantastic with plenty of access to metro etc. and local restaurants and bars for the evening. Staff were warm and friendly and exceptionally helpful.
Review 52:Great location, a few minutes walk from the Saint Lazare station and metro. The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. Really big for Paris standards, nice surprise. It even had a bidet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good.
Review 53:A bit hard to find (no sign!) The room was nice and clean but the floors/walls quite thin so I found it a bit noisy. Staff were lovely and friendly, but we requested a taxi booked for the morning which didn't happen, and it was pouring rain. They couldn't get us a taxi so suggested we wait at a taxi rank- got drenched getting there, still no taxis for ages and were quite late all told!
Review 54:It was a clean, spacious and comfortable room at a good price for Paris. Neighbourhood was good, staff friendly.
Review 55:It was very warm but AC was off so had to leave the windows open which let noise in. For weary travelers it's nice to have access to food (of any type) without having to leave the premises. Only breakfast was available.
Review 56:Staff were absolutely wonderful - helpful, attentive, responsive. Building has old world charm so if you're looking for a big hotel experience this isn't the place! Breakfast was delicious.
Review 57:Breakfast poor by our standards, Acceptable if one knows what a French breakfast usually consists of. 50% of reception staff we talked to where happy to help.
Review 58:Generally Great Hotel, great location, comfortable and clean.
Review 59:It was a bit difficult getting into the shower.
Review 60:The hotel was located in an area well serviced by the Metro, RER Trains and buses. It was easy to visit Versailles and Disneyland by local train. It was also easy to get around Paris by Metro. The breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean and refurbished not long ago. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Review 61:Baked goods at breakfast were disappointing Thin walls on 5th floor meant I heard conversations etc after midnight from room next door - had to wear earplugs to be able to sleep Wifi didn't work very well on 5th floor
Review 62:Friendly, efficient staff Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom Great location
Review 63:Breakfast was ordinary but only 7€ so couldn't really complain.
Review 64:Great position close to Trains and Busses and excellent shopping. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a goid size for Paris
Review 65:Only stayed 1 night en route to Normandy. Hotel is close to metro stop and very close to St Lazare Rail station. Was given a large room at the front of the hotel. Very comfy bed and large bathroom. A kettle and cups were provided on request. Did not have breakfast due to having to leave early to catch a train.
