Reviews for Hotel Ansitz Haidenhof

Review 1:Wonderful location with everything you need for a special get away! Be sure to ask for a room facing the mountains. Sun drenched rooms with cozy beds. Delicious food, both the breakfast buffet and dinner (grill teller comes highly recommended!). Be sure to visit the beerkeller. Nice walking trails right from hotel and short walk to explore center of town.

Review 2:25 minute walk into town, as I was travelling by train. Restaurant prices a little high, though menu in beer cellar very reasonable..

Review 3:Friendly welcome in a well appointed hotel with historic significance. Great beer cellar and own microbrewery. Sauna and terrace with spectacular views.

Review 4:Nice quiet location with just a short walk to town. Second visit here, both have been excellent. Great views of the Lienzer Dolomiten. If you get a room on the south side, you get great views from the balconies. Rooms on the north side have no balconies and look up the hill, but north rooms are quiet and great for sleeping with the windows open. Great breakfast. Ate two dinners there and they were both great. The beers were very good, the "Luis" beer was my favorite.

Review 5:The location was what I liked most. The view from the room is fantastic. You can see the Dolomites right in front of you and you can see the city too, because the hotel is located on top of a hill. The room is big and comfortable. The hotel has its own brewery. The beer they serve there is delicious. Breakfast is also good.

Review 6:Friendly staff, astonishing town & mountain view from the room balcony, a cup of aromatic herbal tee on the terrace after hot sauna and not the least a hiking route starting from the Haidenhof hotel made our weekend a perfect getaway. The lovely town of Lienz with it's medieval streets and smiley locals was also worth visiting.

Review 7:Could do with a garage facility. However plenty of parking with a barn that would potentially convert into a garage.

Review 8:Good friendly reception with very helpful staff. Service very good and a beautiful view from the dining room. Have their own brewery so European lager easily available!

Review 9:Wifi didn't work in our room. Beds a bit soft and lumpy.

Review 10:Great restaurant - on site brewery makes a good lager. Included dinner was adequate, though the offerings on the main menu looked outstanding. Breakfast was generous and high quality. Location near supermarket as we left was great for picking up lunch for the road

Review 11:Hard to criticise as all staff spoke good English, but one abrupt waitress in the bar, borderline stroppy, possibly overworked. Not enough to spoil the overall experience.

Review 12:Great building: old tradtional building with nooks, crannies, bars hither and thither. Great breakfast selection served on sth facing balcony. Charming and comical numbers of pine units/cupboards/drawers in rooms. Great fun. Microbrewery ale v drinkable.

Review 13:From the first contact, everything was just perfect. Location, view, staff, cleanliness...

Review 14:Nothong

Review 15:The views, the brewery, the food, the brewery! And staff

Review 16:Great view

Review 17:Nothing

Review 27:Very nice staff, good food, interesting beer produced in the hotel. Nice view over the mountains and fruit garden, all herbs and vegetables in the dinner were from their own garden.

Review 28:Large, clean, modern room. Good location with great views. Beer garden , bar and restaurant all superb. Food & drinks very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 29:I should have booked a longer visit! There was nothing I didn't like about it.

Review 30:Its in the most fantastic location with breathtaking views from almost every room in the hotel. The staff and hotel management are really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a real pleasure telling us of extra special places to visit and go walking in the mountains. The excellent food in the restaurant was a real surprise and bonus, so much so that we ate in every night as the restaurants recommended in town looked far less appealing when we checked them out. The relaxing spa on the top floor was newly renovated, spacious and superb with lots of little extras to make your visit to it a real treat. Part of the hotel is over 1000 years old and has been in the current owner's family for over 100 years, their pride in this history shows.

Review 31:Balcony overlooking town and mountains.

Review 32:Lovely historic hotel, gorgeous location and staff were excellent. Quiet location and their beer was great.

Review 33:wifi didn'T work in room

Review 34:location service room food

Review 36:Fine hotel, good room. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Great views everyplace.

Review 37:It takes a day to fnd your way around and know what to do and where to sit.

Review 38:Home brew is excellent and the view from the room outstnding.
