Reviews for Gwesty Ty Gorsaf Hotel

Review 1:Hotel rather tired but bedrooms nicely decorated and very comfortable.

Review 2:Staff were excellent and when they found out we had an early start allowed us to take an early breakfast.

Review 3:I booked but the hotel hadn't got the booking so rather than the £80 they charged £100, didn't really have a choice other than to pay.

Review 4:Booked very last minute after having another hotel cancel my booking on the day of trip, hotel was happy to accommodate me and my dog (large dog).

Review 5:unhelpful staff,I booked a room with mountain view but the room was facing the road. I asked for travel cot to be available for my toddler but there was no cot in place,in fact there was no space for cot in the room to put a cot in. then to make it worse, we have been giving a room with no heating system in place in the middle of winter in the middle of Snowdonia. I am impressed this so cold hotel got 4 starts!

Review 6:I liked nothing

Review 7:Awful, dated place. Room smelled of smoke. Lots of noise from bar and people running up and down the stairs. Staff woke us up at 7am by continuously banging the fire door to close it, as it had warped from being left open all night in the rain. Room was dirty- sheets and pillows dirty. Stains on carpet. Rarely any staff around to help. Bulb blew in room and lost all electricity- couldn't find anyone to tell. Terrible experience!

Review 8:Good, convenient location

Review 9:We had a lovely stay here, the staff were so lovely and friendly, and went out of their way to help, the staff make this hotel what it is, would definitely visit again. Happy New Year.

Review 10:There was no heating in our room and the Windows were single glazed. This did get quite uncomfortable especially during the night. The staff did all they could to help however there must of just been an issue with the boiler.

Review 11:The food was lovely, the room in general was clean, well presented and homely. The bathroom especially was to a high standard. There was a mountain view which was nice, the staff were very helpful. The location was really good - maybe a little further than we needed but worth it.

Review 12:The shower head wasn't attached to the wall so you had to hold it, also the button wouldn't stay up to push the water through the shower head so we had to find something to wedge in

Review 13:The staff and hotel were great, though it was a little quiet.

Review 14:We stayed in room 9 and it was very cold due to radiators not working. We asked 3 times during the day if someone could sort it and eventually it was sorted on our second night. Could not connect to free wifi offered and area very noisy early hours that disturbed our sleep on both nights.

Review 15:Staff were very friendly and the food was really good.

Review 16:the interior of the hotel is very tired and in need of upgrading and decorating. Little things like a broken door handle on the outside of the bedroom door, a broken bin in the bathroom, old mastic round the bath that is coming away and old lumpy pillows, could all be "mended" straight away and give a different overall impression. Breakfast was good and presentation of toaster and make your own tea and coffee were in line with what we paid. If you want luxury, you don't stay here, but if you want a basic place to sleep and aren't too bothered about dated paintwork, carpets and furniture, then it's ok.

Review 17:Good welcome and no problem having our dog stay with us.

Review 18:The hotel is quiet old and you can smell it there.. it was raining and water was everyvhere but the worst thing was cleanliness dust everywhere and whan we goes to bed we found a lot foreign hair that was discusting

Review 19:Nice nature around and nice breakfast in hotel

Review 20:We were only there for Saturday night and the Restaurant was closed so we had to go out for fish and chips. Toe nail clippings on carpet. No hot water from shower. Only a small amount of loo roll and no spare. Lovely old building in need of TLC and money.

Review 21:Our colleague who stayed reported back to us that he was rather unhappy with the stay. Both room and breakfast area were unclean. He was told they were not serving food on Monday. And the hotel was understaffed.

Review 22:Outside entrance to hotel was dirty and the lobby was even worse. Rooms were unattractive, windows painted shut and staff not readily available. Hallway lights were out and the bedding inside the duvet was absolutely ratty. Limited restaurants in the area and unable to dine at hotel because chief did not show up. We only stayed at this hotel because our original B & B cancelled on us in the middle of our trip.

Review 23:drunk people screaming and swearing outside front of hotel under my the window of my room both nights i was there, no parking apart from in loading bay

Review 24:location, breakfast

Review 25:No staff present except from one girl who seemed to be the receptionist, the bar lady and and served the breakfast! We were told when we checked in that no food would be served with the exception of breakfast as it was included in the price. However there was no other restaurants to eat at except the local chippy! It suited us fine however, if you are not a fan of eating from a chip shop then i would stay elsewhere.

Review 26:Blaenau ffestiniog not a great location it needs money spent on its appearance lots of empty shops.no alternative restaurants than the hotel.

Review 27:staff polite and helpful.breakfast really good.food in the evening excellent.

Review 28:Toilet not clean on arrival, general cleanliness of room poor. Toilet roll not replaced when finished. Food not served on a Monday evening which we were unaware of.

Review 29:Hotel needs a refurb. Was grotty and run down which is a shame for such a nice building. Could have been cleaner, we found there was rubbish, dirty bedding and cleaning equipment left in the corridors/ 'hidden' behind doors. We were there for two nights and there was two cans of vimto left on the stairs when we arrived and were still there when we left!. No staff to be found anywhere. When we arrived we were told the cook may not be coming in so no food. The only alternative was x3 takeaways or an Indian restaurant. The restaurant meal was nice but we had to have a take away the second evening. We found parking ok as managed to get 1/3 spaces outside the hotel which are free. Breakfast was lovely, but starts late (8.30) which wasn't a huge problem for us, the service is VERY slow, the table with tea/ coffee/bread was out of stock and limited. There appeared to be one lady seating guests, serving food, replenishing stock and checking guests out. Our room was ok, spacious but during our stay we encountered a few issues, one being the toilet not flushing! We didn't have a TV remote and only a few lights had bulbs. We were in a room at the top which had a slanted ceiling. Wasn't an issue until I went to get into bed and knocked myself out on the beam! Finally, as we went to leave the room one evening NO lights in the 4 flights of stairs were on. We found this very unusual and had to use our phones to guide us. Wales is beautiful but we wont be returning to this hotel.

Review 30:Location is great, couldn't get closer to the train line and near by to the Zip activity and bounce below. Breakfast was actually very nice. BUT..

Review 31:The hotel was a little grubby and was in need of a redecoration and updating. No hair dryer, wifi or parking as stated in description. Our room was also the fire escape route which meNt There was a key to access the room hanging outside the door. Also the fire door which led the fire escape outside stairs was open all night.

Review 32:the breakfast was nice and filling. Wouldn't describe it as Welsh as there was no lava bread.

Review 33:Tea and coffee service at breakfast poor. No real coffee and both teabags and instant coffee in cereal bowls for self-service. Only instant decaff coffee in room too.

Review 34:Good choice of breakfasts including smoked haddock and vegetarian option.

Review 35:The WiFi was a bit hit and miss and only able to get internet in the bar .

Review 36:We booked this hotel as it was a great location for Zip World and Bounce below . The Staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them , it was a very homely atmosphere . Blaenau Ffestiniog is a very friendly town .

Review 37:you had to pay to park or find a free parking bay on the main road, the hotel had a function downstairs and was supposed to let us know in advance which never happened, hence we has a very bad nights sleep. Hardly any staff available especially at breakfast time, hence no bread, no hot water, no milk, kept running out and we then had to wait for someone. Please can youinvest in a coffee machine as hot water and granules is not the best!

Review 38:Location was excellent for Zipworld Titan

Review 39:The mattress is ancient as the spring has lost its cover. Very uncomfortable. The kettle was filthy inside and even a clean did not help.

Review 40:The location is fine

Review 41:The pub downstairs was noisy at night and rooms at front of hotel were noisy with drunk people. back of hotel was quiet. double glazing would have helped lots but there wasn't any at all

Review 42:Friendly staff, comfortable clean well maintained rooms and facilities. We felt very relaxed, the overall feel was comfortable for our age group

Review 43:The quality of the furnishings in our room was poor and some of the fixtures were damaged or broken. Basically the interior of the hotel was in need of a facelift. The view out of our window was spoilt as it looked straight at all their rubbish bins which were overflowing, recommend concealing this with large shrubs or building a shed

Review 44:Good central location close to the railway station but still quiet. Large bedroom, large bed, large bathroom and good breakfast.

Review 45:Rooms are a bit in need of restoration.

Review 46:Staff were helpful once you found one. Our room had someone else's things in, and then the window was broken. We finally found a room that was ok.

Review 47:Went out for the day towels never got changed or bin emptied wasn't happy with staff not very good customer service

Review 48:Nice big room with a couch and nice location breakfast was nice

Review 49:Room smelt damp and was very stuffy. "Family room" consisting of pull out sofa bed 'double' which was very hard and two singles wich were too soft. And no I'm not Goldilocks.

Review 50:Staff were lovely. Really very friendly and sweet. Welsh breakfast was very good. Bacon not to my taste but the rest was lovely. Seems to be very little in the town, felt a bit depressed. Some nice finishing touches so the thought is there...

Review 51:The staff were really friendly. The Chef spoke personally to us to see if we enjoyed our dinner. It was a comfortable hotel close to the railway station.

Review 52:Got there late as I had to wait until I finished late from work. When we checked in I asked if they were still serving food. Was told they were finishing in 15 mins but not to worry as they would keep the kitchen open for us. Which they did.

Review 53:poor food. poor cleanness of room shabby hotel that need urgent refurbishment groups of youths hanging around the outside entrance . Fighting outside thee entrance to the hotel - police called

Review 54:The staff did the best they could in a poor hotel

Review 55:Parking - yes there is parking around. But when a hotel says they have parking you assume they have their own parking. There is a free lay-by outside - if you manage to get there when a space is there. And it's a free car park to the rear between 6.00pm and 10.00am. Food - options are a little limited for a veggie, I had a jacket potato and it was so gritty it was hard to eat. We tried to eat out in other locations everyday if you get back to Blaenau Ffestiniog your limited to take aways, co-op, mc colls, or there is a lovely sit in chip shop over the road. Room - 'cleaned' every other day. This involved changing the bins. Could really do with a towel change, fresh tea cups, a made bed and a good vacuum. Which I could only see being used in the hall ways. The bathroom needs a good clean inbetween guests. Just to remove previous stays hairs and the mould around the taps. It's looking a little tired with cracked sinks and stained baths. Reminded me of staying in a grand parents house - a little old and worn but it was comfortable. I could also hear everything is the next room along, I think they were generally very noisy people anyway. But a little sound proofing would be lovely! Especially when they want to go to the loo and blow their nose in the night.

Review 56:Staff - were very limited but were helpful! Location - lovely and pretty much an hour drive to everywhere we visited (Menai Strait - Ribride, Zip Wire - Velocity, Pen Y Pass - Snowdon, Llanberis / Electric Mountain, Portmeirion - Mediterranean Village) Room - good size lots of space to put our things and still move about the room. Breakfast - buffet with fruit, toast, cereals, tea, coffee and juices. You can also order any cooked breakfast or just a couple of cooked items like scrambled egg or mushrooms. (Veggie breakfast available too - however not a big morning eater so didn't get around to trying it) Close to a Co-op, Mc Colls and a eat in chip shop over the road. Good for picking up the next day's snacks for on the move. Although we didn't use it the train station with a lovely steam train is located to the rear. It's quiet so no need to worry about noise.

Review 57:Hard to put a finger on it but the staff were all friendly but did not appear to have a leader/manager to help them make life easier for themselves and guests.

Review 58:Excellent location - looked like only decent sized hotel in Blaenau Festiniog

Review 59:Not many places to eat in the evening nearby- had to drive 20 mins to an available restaraunt. Could do with a lick of paint in places to bring it back to life.

Review 60:Big, very comfy bed and nice room with a view. Good breakfast in the morning to start the day. Overall a comfortable, quiet and relaxing stay.

Review 61:Pillows - flat as a pancake. Paper thin walls Filthy room - carpet hadn't been hoovered, no bin, hair in bath No double glazing - you could hear everything!!! Most uncomfortable sleep ever!!! Breakfast - cold Lacking in staff - had to wait ages in reception to be seen to and no-one to complain to

Review 62:We stayed in Room15, No Shower, the Sink was Blocked, Internet didn't work in the room, went to switch on the bedside light No bulb !!!! All of the Fire Doors were held open either with a Plant pot, Chair or Fire Extinguisher!! No staff available to speak too about our concerns

Review 63:Food was okay

Review 64:Breakfast timing doesn't allow early travellers to have hot breakfast. A bit more flexibility would have been useful. Less staff around reception.

Review 65:Room wasnt cleaned properly bathroom bin had previous guests rubbish in it including tampons tea was out of date and cups still had old tea in from previous guests. There was old food on the floor around the window too! The food served was poor quality considering the price they ask for it and rooms do not look like they do on booking.com

Review 66:We couldn't find TV remote control, the light in one of the bathrooms didn't work, the breakfast presentation was poor, especially the coffee (it's the first thing you want in the morning!) and when I was ready to pay the prices didn't match with the ones that I've booked, but the lady corrected that easily. 4 free parking spaces!

Review 67:Reasonable price for great rooms, especially with the view of the mountains, very comfy beds, convenient place near the Co-operative shop.

Review 68:I could not connect to the the internet. It said "limited connection". I could not use the TV. No remote provided. Told that it had been stolen and one was on order. They said use the buttons on the side, these were for DVDs. Evening meals, no food on my first night due to the cook being sick, they do not provide food on Sunday and Monday evenings. So food was only provided on one out of my four nights.

Review 69:Parking on pay & display £7.50 24hrs No food on a monday evening and only take aways or supermarket to get some. No real ale despite being advertised. No Mirror in bedroom Previous occupants rubbish in bathroom bin Decor tired and worn

Review 70:Quietness Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly.

Review 71:No remote control unit for TV staff could not help so no TV. Ceiling leaked...shower was feable...sparse decor....sash windows did not work properly. Fire extinguishers etc. used to wedge open fire doors.....poorly marked exit routes. No free car parking.

Review 72:Shame, the light bulb was burnt out and we didn't have light in the bathroom for the night stay. They couldn't replace it, but accepted to give us a discount for our stay.

Review 73:Very large king size rooms with a grad feel, lovely breakfast. We arrived late and they were very prompt in fitting an extra bed and a baby cot in our room.

Review 74:We had to pay for the parking, the restaurant was shut due to the chef being ill. The bed was lumpy and not comfortable. No one serviced the room so we had no clean cups or glasses and breakfast was awful. Will not being going back and would not recommend.

Review 75:Good location!

Review 76:Nothing is ever perfect and I never expect it. The hot water system broke and they called the plumber and got it repaired , as you do.

Review 77:The staff were helpful and responded quickly to requests. The price was affordable. The view was great. The breakfast was good.

Review 78:At breakfast there was no atmosphere. .Maybe some music playing would help.

Review 79:Lovely,friendly staff who were very helpful! We had an evening meal which was excellent value and the cooked breakfast was great!the room was clean with everything we needed.

Review 80:Reception not 24hr manned. Or manned at all most of the time. Room was dirty and the only thing the 'maids' did was empty bins and make bed. Windows didn't close properly so the noise from outside was horrendous.

Review 81:Strangely comfortable. Staff were helpful if few and far between.

Review 82:Room was serviced once in 5 days. Most of the staff seemed uninterested in the guests. One morning there was no orange juice at breakfast. To cap it all they tried to charge more than the quoted price. Could have been a very nice place to stay but I'm not impressed.

Review 83:Lovely old building in a convenient location.

Review 84:Poor wifi in room but ok in bar, children kept awake by very noisy party going on until midnight

Review 85:Staff friendly, Breakfast cooked to order and very good, nice big family room

Review 86:The Super King Deluxe room, unfortunately two single beds pushed together isnt an ideal sleeping arrangement for a young couple away for a few days! Wifi wouldnt reach our room, not that big of a problem as we werent there much, but when we needed to check in with family we had to walk out to the landing. During the middle of summer our room was freezing, we asked on multiple occasions if the heating could be turned on, we were told it would be but this never occured. 3 days in a cold room, we used a plugin electric heater next to the bed to take the chill off, but as soon as we turned it off the room cooled right down.

Review 87:The Chef Karen, she was remarkable. Our first night we were delayed getting back for dinner. She stayed late, until 10pm in order to take care of us and then was bright and breezy for breakfast! Nice and central for our travel locations (Zipline, Bounce Below, Caernarfen) however given that Bewts Y-Coed is just 10miles away, I'd recommend this instead. The roads, and travelling around the scenery is remarkable.

Review 88:The hotel wasn't organised and needs updating. Me and my boyfriend had a bad experience as we were not told that there was no staff in the hotel from 11pm to 8am. As of this on the Saturday night we were there we had a bunch of men banging on the doors from 12am to gone 1am. They were shouting and swearing through the whole hour. The thing that scared me was you didn't know if they were meant to be in the hotel or if they weren't. As we were not told there was no staff in the hotel we had no one to call to ask whats going on and to get the situation resolved. The only thing I could think of was to ring the police which I didn't in the end as some turned up to ask what was happening but even with this they still carried on shouting and pulling and pushing the doors. Finally when they were sorted and let in the hotel to their rooms I thought that would be the end of the noise, until more people walked up and down the road who had come from pubs shouting and swearing. I wouldn't have minded this but at no point was it mentioned that there is a lot of noise around hotel at night.

Review 89:Only thing I liked was the location of the hotel as I was close to the Titan where i was heading for the day.

Review 90:I asked specifically for a ground or 1st floor room, the reason my wife is 81 yrs and is partially disabled, and I am 77 yrs old. The room we got was on the top floor, we had to climb 6 flights of stairs with our luggage. I will not make any further bookings with you I am sorry to say.

Review 91:First bedroom unsatisfactory with very bad bed mattress; moved to better room after complaining. Some breakfast menu items invariably missing, self service toaster not fully working, self service tea & coffee in breakfast room inadequate. Generally indifferent & inadequate staffing levels.

Review 92:Location suited us as a touring base & adjacent to train station.

Review 93:Certain drinks not available. No food available. No WiFi. Room not great.bit of a youth club!! Gutted

Review 94:One of the worst stays in a hotel. No food served without notice... No where else to eat. Staff awful and very unhelpful.

Review 95:As you walk in to the hotel you are greeted by a smell of stale beer and fried food. There are 4 free parking spaces in front of the hotel, otherwise you have to pay for parking at the rear. Our TV remote was broken, on my third request for a replacement I was given the original broken one back. Breakfast was awful, the glasses were dirty and the juice jugs were stained. We were told we could only have brown toast because the white bread hadn't been defrosted! Then it transpired the toaster was broken. The photographer has done an amazing job with the pictures from the website, they looked lovely that's why I booked.

Review 96:Great location.

Review 97:The carpets were badly stained in our bedroom not very hygienic but room clean and plenty of clean towels

Review 98:Friendly staff good breakfast. Nice view from bedroom. Karen the chef always greeting us with a friendly smile.

Review 99:We couldn't get WiFi to work. Shower head attachment was broken & had to be used in hand-held mode. (put on their maintenance list)

Review 100:Close to activities (tourist rail, adventure facilities.) Helpful staff Spacious bedroom & bathroom Appealing atmosphere in public areas

Review 101:Nothing major, but bathroom could do with being updated a bit, but didn't take anything away from the stay

Review 102:Amazing room, unbelievable price, good food.

Review 103:We thought the decor was tired and worn especially in the dining room. The disturbances during the night from the public on the street was apalling, and residents of hotel who could not get in after an evening drinking was disgraceful because if there had been a night porter or even someone on the premises to let them in it would not of happened, it made us uneasy to think that there was no staff around for an emergency like unruly people or a fire. Rooms were not serviced during our stay.

Review 104:The staff tried and worked hard to make us comfortably and were most apologetic.

Review 105:I had an excellent experience overall. If I was pushed to find a negative feature it would be that the bathroom smelled as if it could do with being aired a bit. However, everything was clean and well presented. The two lower beds in the family room were a little too hard for comfort but this did not detract from the experience.

Review 106:The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The room was welcoming and comfortable. The dining facilities were very good and the food was delicious. I found the staff to be very helpful and nothing was too much for them. I was pleased that the hotel is so close to the station.

Review 107:When we arrived we were told that food isn't served on a Sunday. No mention of this on the website. No restaurants or nice takeaways around. No car park. There was only one member of staff checking people in and out and serving behind the bar. The place looks very old and run down not what you expect for a four star hotel. It's pet friendly but don't provide anything for pets not even an area to pee in. Car park was £7.50 for 12 hours. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't stay for it.

Review 108:Rooms are a decent size but basic.

Review 109:Bathroom smelled musty and need a lick of paint. Part of the cooked breakfast was served cold. Didn't accept credit card payment upon departure - cash only. As it was a business trip, the receipt did not have my company address in order to reclaim. Tried on several occasions to get a duplicate receipt with the address (email and phone messages), but to no avail.

Review 110:Evening dinner was excellent.

Review 111:Cleanliness was awful room had not been hoovered or bin emptied from previous occupant. Rooms smelt of cooking, cooked breakfast was cold and very greasy. More staff required!

Review 112:Location of hotel was fantastic for zip wire and snowden. Style of old fashion building nice

Review 113:On arrival, the room had not been cleaned. The room did not appear to have been hoovered since the last guests had stayed. There were biscuit crumbs on the floor and on closer inspection I actually found a toenail. The staff seemed unhelpful and everything seemed like it was too much for them, including basics such as taking an order for breakfast. Parking outside was limited, however there is a car park that you could pay for at great expense behind the hotel. Would not stay again or recommend

Review 114:The facilities were not good. The hotel needs totally updating which is a pity as it is well positioned. There was a large opened pot of white paint outside our bedroom when we arrived two days later it was still there. We had to asks for toilet rolls as there was hardly any left on the remainder of the roll that was on the wall. Very little was done in our hotel room during our stay, the waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied, in fact I think the only thing that was done was the bed was made. In the dining room was a large leather type settee with no leather left on the arms, it need to be thrown away. Someone must take responsible for the duties the staff should be undertaking as they are not doing their job properly and will chase customers, such as my wife and I away. Cleanliness is expected in all areas of the hotel unfortunately this was not the case.

Review 115:Karen was brilliant, I would employ her anytime, the hotel is very lucky to have her.

Review 116:rooms never clened in 3 nights we was the toilet paper put in room over 3 nights on top over change should be 192 then change my card 450 phone said put back on card not do so yet

Review 117:staff was ok

Review 118:Short staffed and they were unhelpful. Whole hotel needs some care and attention - fag butts on the floor, wallpaper peeling off, dirty carpets held down with duct tape etc

Review 119:Location and view was great

Review 120:General feeling of tatty and dirty, although some areas were obviously being cleaned daily. Door lock to room missing screws and loose. Fire exit sign above main stair well hanging down below door frame. Floor in breakfast area clearly hasn't been swept or mopped in a while. Not the best mattress on the bed, could feel the springs in it. Overall in need of some decent maintenance and upgrades to room furniture.

Review 121:Breakfast Excellent. WIFI signal and speed excellent. Even meals in the bar good but nothing special.

Review 122:Hotel needs to attend to minor details e.g. wall paper coming off walls. Noise from the bar in the evening

Review 123:The staff did everything they could to satisfy our needs

Review 124:Breakfast, particularly on the second morning, was a bit haphazard and could have contained a few more options and been laid with a bit more thought or preparation. The restaurant was closed the evening we arrived and there's not a lot of other options in the town.

Review 125:Room was big and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The town and surrounding country side was a real surprise. What an incredible setting.

Review 126:Matress like laying on bare springs, had to put all pillows in a line down bed to be able to sleep, also bed top about 15 ins from floor making it very hard to get upright. Had to get 8:30 train and arranged pack b/fast as kitchen opened 08:00.However no staff arrived till 8:15 so result,no food/ drink and mad exit to station. As I am mobility disabled/ diabetic this was not a good situation

Review 127:staff helpful, food at bar prompt/good. room clean/ facilities good. proximity to rail station good

Review 128:When we arrived our bedroom carpet was full of black dogs hair, as we had a problem and they had double booked us I did not complain. went out the next day on arriving back the room had not been touched . The whole hotel was old and tired however that is no excuse for how dirty it was. only shops open in village on Saturday and Sunday were a café , co op and a few pubs!!!!!! will never go to Blaenau Festiniog again

Review 129:Staff were very friendly

Review 130:Waiting for staff to acknowledge our arrival. Tired and ready to head for our room - waiting....less than expected courteous greeting from advertised 4* hotel! Staff appeared harassed and rushed. On our departure I assumed that card payment was possible, but was advised that card payment was not possible and should have been advised...but was not! The hotel is apparently undergoing a change of ownership. At breakfast, when other guests requested more orange juice, bread for toast and butter, they were informed that there wasn't any more available. Our experience of this hotel was far less than the 4* advertised on booking.com and we were disappointed. There was a group of teenagers in the outside area where we were sitting speaking Welsh, but the expletives were clearly understood!! On return to the building, I could hear the sound of someone weeing from the toilet to my left. The W.C. door was open and one of the aforementioned youths was passing urine into the public toilet. Whilst turning back, I saw a male figure blatantly relieving himself - not a pleasant sight. On departure this morning, I arrived at reception ready to pay our bill with my debit card. I was advised that card transactions were not possible and should have been advised of this (but I was not). Apparently, the previous owner had not paid the necessary fees for the card machine. I was embarrassed in not being able to pay for our stay. The member of staff was also embarrassed and even left reception to provide details of current owner to make payment to. I find this most unsatisfactory and would like to speak with you directly.
